So I stopped existing for a while, but a lot has been going on in my life. I haven't been drawing a while lot, certainly not finishing anything.

But here's my The Dragon Prince elfsona, Crondir.

For those of you a bit interested, here's some trivia:

• Crondir is an Earthblood, born and raised in the Drakewood forests montane ecosystem to the south-east, just up the base of the Umbertor mountains.

• Their mother, Raev, is from further into the Uncharted Forest, while their father, Bjork, is from higher up, but more north in the Umbertor range. They have two pseudo-siblings; a skywing little brother named Raime, and a "sunblood" little sister named Nunelle.

• Shirts and shoes are social constructs, and Crondir would rather shoot an arrow into their own leg than wear either

• They were a late bloomer in regards to horn growth, having small numbs and later gangly twigs until the age of 15, after which they suddenly started to coil and branch into the beautiful antlers they now have

• They're pretty chill usually but would fight god on impulse

• They have two pets! A steed named Candleclove and a hunting partner named Winterbane. Candleclove is a kaisus, a beautiful but rare creature resembling an wingless, insectoid horse, while Winterbane is a taiga ulfengale, a solitary yet loyal artic subspecies of an animal akin in body to an anteater and a snow leopard, but with a long tail and a nape of feathers reminiscent to a washed out peacock

• Crondir is a play on the word 'krondyr' which is danish for red deer

Don't lie to yourself. You're desperate for magic, for power. You want this. You want your magic back. How would they react? All those who cast you out, called you a liar, talked behind your back. If they care about magic so much, why don't you show them what a real mage can do?

Peccantum has no magic. His connection to his arcanum was severed and he was disgraced by most elves. He’s alone, resentful, and desperate for any control over his destiny.

Perhaps one day he come across a text about a Dark Mage, a human who was able to do magic. It intrigues him. He looks into it more, writing down details. He becomes obsessed with it. It’s a magic that gives creatures without it power, it’s what he desires, though he would never admit it.

And then he cracks it. Peccantum is very smart, so he’d have to work on it for weeks, but he eventually figures out how to use this Dark Magic. All he has to do is take the magic from something else. And he lives in a world filled with Magic. Who would notice a spider or moon moth missing?

It calls to him. It fills his head with thoughts of vengeance on those who wronged him, promises him power, magic. He would be respected and loved, he would never again be called a freak or ‘Star Crazy’. All he needs...is to give in. And without anyone by his side, he would break easily.

I’d like to introduce y’all to my one and only elfsona-, uh.....wow, I don’t have a name for her... Um, for now I guess just call her- er, me (how does this work?) True-Neutral. If y’all have any name suggestions, let me know! Anywho, here’s some random facts about me- I mean her....ugh, never mind..

Species: Wood Earth Elf

Gender: female

Age: 20’s

Occupation: wandering mage/artist!(a.k.a. unemployed)

Hobbies: drawing, meditating, making weird (sometimes inappropriate) jokes, theorizing about cartoon plot lines, petting fluffy critters, and relaying useless (but interesting) facts

Likes: Animals, random information, making up random and otherwise useless spells, nature (duh), stories that make you question humanity/sanity (e.g. Twilight Zone, Coraline, The Haunting of Hill House, etc.), and clever/witty/eccentric people/ideas

Dislikes: sappy romance tropes (no more please..), bathroom humor, rigidity

Tired: Self-inserts are dumb, no one over the age of 15 does that, it’s not cool, people are gonna think I’m a loser for making my elfsona, especially since I’m fat and the elves in canon are not. Wired: I’m 33 and I’ll draw whatever the fuck I want. ITS ELFSONA O’CLOCK, BITCHES!!

Haven’t named her yet, but I did roll a d10 for wings/no wings, and got a 10 so hell yeah wings. I imagine she’s probably some kind of messenger/scout/bard who travels around with news and stories (especially if said stories make her look cool, and she is not above embellishing), but nopes out as soon as anything actually dangerous happens, retreating to watch from afar and take notes.

The arcanum-less startouch elf concept from before but now without the cloak. The pink stuff on their arms is scarring and tbe black markings used to be stars, but since they lost their connection, the starts have gone dark across their body. Same thing with the hair. The ends are still tipped with white but for the most part their hair turned dark.

What is your favorite Elven "group" in TDP? Granted we haven't been introduced to all of them in the show yet, but we have had hints and that spellbook did showcase at least concepts for the others. I'm curious who your favorite in Elf Hell is. Also, what's your opinion on Elves with horns. At first I was confused when I first started watching, but now I think I prefer Elves with horns.

SKYWING ELVES!!!

No for serious, I love those chill bird nomad elves with their side horns and laissez-faire attitudes. I have an elfsona, Nepha, who is a Skywing (I need to draw her more). I really like the Sky arcanum, like...  I *get* it, insofar as if Arcanums were real I’d either have one or try really fucking hard to get one. Skywings skywings skywings. The other TDP elves are neat but if you want me to lose my shit talk to me about Skywing elves.

I think non-horned elves are fine! I also have many OCs that are elves without horns. I have a *thing* for elves with lightning powers.  I have also drawn my OCs as TDP Elves because horns on elves are fuckin’ neato and it wasn’t something I expected to like as much as I did. 

I just really love pointy ears, yo.

WELL I DECIDED TO COLOR MY OC SO HERE SHE IS

I went with Nepha for her name, it comes from Nephele which means “cloud” in Greek. She’s basically a very chatty gossip columnist but I don’t think Xadia has newspapers so she just flits around from place to place with news, spicy rumors and questionable life advice.
