There's something so significant to me about Arthur's relationship with not just Charles, but Taima too.

Horses are a vital extension of each of the gang members, in personality and in their uses. Charles and Arthur especially are very skilled horsemen, they understand their horses needs and boundaries to a T.

It's a reoccurring joke in-game that the gang members respective horses won't let anyone ride or pet them except their owners, but there's a level of truth in that too. Early on, Arthur will mention how The Count immediately bucked him off when he once tried to ride him and how protective the horse is of Dutch.

That's a well known example, but if you take the time to try and pet the horses in camp, you'll see how skittish or unreceptive majority of the horses are to Arthur.

Taima, however, is quite docile. She is one of the few horses who doesn't get skittish in camp and gives no resistance to being pet by Arthur. She was happy to be ridden by Arthur in chapter one and responded to him well - which makes me think that she was likely used multiple times in place of Boadicea before the game began, or that she generally liked Arthur because of how close Charles was with him too.

There's also the significance in that Taima is the first and likely the last horse Arthur would ride in the events of rdr2, Charles could only carry Arthur's body so far on his own. Thank you, Taima.

Javier Headcanons

Bc he’s my favorite and I wont him

• Has the grossest cough

• Chronically smells like the campfire/smoke, and is kinda self conscious about it

• So he tries masking it with cologne he steals and stuff

• but if you say you like how he smells he’s blushing 🤭

• when you sit by him to eat or just hang out, he likes to scoot closer to you

• sometimes he’ll lean on you, lock pinkies, or even kinda put his foot against yours if he’s sharpening his knives or polishing his gun

• not crazy about pda, but not opposed to it either yk

• if you’re in the privacy of your tent though 🤭

• he likes to cuddle I think

• lays his head on your chest or lap

• gets fully attached to you no matter how hot it is outside

bro wtf i loaded rdr2 & while in big valley, got attacked by a cougar. fair, i was in cougar territory. killed it. started heading up to the nearby trapper to sell the hide & carcass. on the way there, got mauled by a grizzly bear.

thought that was weird, bcs i thought the bear only spawned if the cougar wasn't there. shrugged it off. killed it. started going to trapper again.

sold cougar, went back to bear to skin it, BUT ANOTHER BEAR SPAWNED IN THE SAME PLACE & MAULED ME. oh btw both times my bolt action turned into a varmint after it mauled me ??

anyways i sell them. leave. IMMEDIATELY WHEN I GET ON THE PATH A PACK OF WOLVES SURROUND ME and right before i fire my first bullet BOUNTY HUNTERS SPAWN & THEY HEAR. i run, shoot the wolves, the bounty hunters try killing me so i kill them — MORE SPAWN IN THE SAME AREA ? and in the middle of it, my horse just fucking Levitated Straight Into The Air & Died Mid-Air before we both fell

finish off the hunters & revive my horse

& IMMEDIATELY AFTER WHILE I'M SKINNING THE WOLVES MORE SPAWN ???????
