People make comments about how serious the 2012bros are as the seasons progress and we never see them bonding or being teens like in RISE and their lives are just constant trauma and action and I’m over here like:

You remember that one time on patrol when Raph found a water hose on a rooftop and totally started spraying down his brothers, instigating a moment of fun and laughter?

And you know what boring-serious-Leo does?

This kid throws Donnie into the line of fire and circles around for a professional sneak attack, only be thwarted by Raph’s weapon of watery, mass destruction. Alas, Mikey’s attempts are foiled as well-

Kel, do you know how to do additional math? No... but i would learn soon! i think... Well we do, and that means we are old enough. Wait- what does math have anything to do with this?! Well, to make a treehouse you'll have to calculate the exact amount of wood it takes and then you'll have to calculate the cost which- i hope we haven't blow our budget yet but i feel like with the mistakes Hero is constantly making we might go flat broke soo-...Actually, Kel... why don't you help me with some lemonade? Huh- uh..yeah, sure. ....What was that... Are we- are we going broke?! Uhm....you want some lemonade, Aubrey? Oh, yeah thanks!

I have an original story in mind which starts with one pathetic depressed loner girl with a life riddled with problems and three popular socially active the top of society persons and at the end of the story the depressed girl finds happiness (and a boyfriend) while the rest of the main cast discovers that their life is riddled with problems

"life doesnt get better, you just get stronger" does NOT include ages 11-17. life does in fact just get better from there. those years are dogshit. like, you do get stronger but its mostly just a factor of not being 11-17 anymore. positive thinking helps but it doesnt fix whatevers going on at 15, you have to brute force through that one raw
