Me & The Devil Himself part 6

Staring out of the window did nothing to improve his mood.Lighting flashed in a black as midnight sky at eleven o'clock in the morning.

"What's the plan?"Negan asked the room at large, taking a seat at the head of the table.

His lieutenants sat in a make shift conference room, looking worse for the wear from the battle with Alexandria.

Dwight tapped the back end of a switch blade on the table, seemingly deep in thought.Regina sat arms crossed over her chest glaring at Dwight's hands.The minutes ticked by quietly.Negan's already strained patience was growing thin.Gavin tilted his chair back and sighed.

"There's nothing left for us to do, 'cept kill 'em all."Simon concluded.

"Dwight?" Negan posed wearily.

"We don't need to kill all them people to get them in line.We just have to kill the right ones."

Negan narrowed his eyes at him.

"The right people, meaning who? Rick Grimes?"

"Grimes, The Widow, and The so called king."

"Hmm..." Their leader scratched at his chin, in contemplation.

"We'll put 'em on a platform, make it bloody, make sure they all see it happen." Dwight's gruff voice provided.

"I like the way you think, Dwight."Negan responded at last."Simon, how long you need to get this set up?"

A blood thirsty grin broke out on Simon's face.

"We'll be ready by morning." He replied to Negan.

At the Saviors Simon directed a gung-ho, "Let's go to work."

Mean while, back at the hen house,boredom and gloom drove the wives to the parlor.

"We could play a game?"Tanya suggested.

Brandy emitted a petulant huff in response and continued flipping through a beat up issue of Vogue.

"We can play a drinking game."Sherry suggested.

"A drinking game?"You repeated uncertainly.

"We are all adults here, we're stuck 'till Negan says otherwise."Sherry pointed out.

"We might as well."Amber intoned unenthusiastically.

You glanced uncertainly at Sherry.For a moment they thought you would decline, but much to their surprise,you agreed.

"Okay, What are we playing?"

Frankie sat up in her chair, with sudden interest.

"Never have I ever!"Frankie and Tanya said in unison.

You swallowed in an attempt to soothe your suddenly dry throat.This was a disaster waiting to happen.

Amber took it upon herself to serve each person in the room a generous shot of vodka.

"The way it works is, we take turns asking a question.Well sort of a question sorta not."Frankie hedged.

"Like if it's my turn I'd say something like, Never have I ever...smoked a joint."Tanya clarified.

"Bullshit."Frankie laughed.

"If you have smoked a joint you do a shot.If you haven't, you don't.It's fun.Trust me."Tanya's enthusiastic grin was a little scary.

You had never seen her smile before today.You eyed her skeptically, but didn't back out.

"Why don't we go from youngest to oldest"Sherry suggested with a smirk.

Amber went around the room handing out the generous glasses she had poured to each of you.

"Go on then."Tanya encouraged Amber.

"Alright, never have I ever...given a blowjob."

"Ha!That's a cheat!We all know He loves getting head."Frankie chuckled.

"Is not!" The petite blonde insisted.

Every single one of you took a shot.Amber went around the room refilling the glasses.As the game went on,you slowly began to relax. The questions were sometimes dirty, but no one had caused any trouble so far.

Sherry's eyes were fixed on you.Of course you thought broodingly. She was so damn nosey,but you were a good sport and drank just the same. To your surprise, so did Tanya.You shared a knowing look then burst out laughing.Sherry was not amused.

You shook your head,but drank all the same.

"Never have I ever kissed another girl."You threw out eyeing each of them in turn.

Frankie,Tanya,and You all took another shot.

"Really, Y/n?"Amber's eyes went wide with curiosity.

"Oh, come on don't act so surprised.It's the freaking apocalypse."Tanya scoffed.

"Alright alright, never have I ever, been in a sub/dom relationship." Sherry said smoothly.

You cringed and took the shot quickly.Tanya did as well.Your cheeks reddened at the admission.You could feel them all scrutinizing you.Tanya couldn't meet their eyes.

"Amber" Sherry prompted when she remained quiet for too long.

"Boo"a sloppy drunk Frankie complained."We already asked that one."

"You're so bad!"Tanya blushed fiercely and took the shot.

She shrugged.The look on Amber's face was bleak.

"Never have I ever been to Canada."Frankie said quickly changing the subject.

No one drank.You felt bad for her.You had forgotten that some of these girls used to be in relationships with the men that were now Saviors.Poor Amber.

Tanya smirked at you.

"Never have I ever, had sex in the kitchen, in the middle of the day."She said much too chipper for your liking.

"At my place or theirs?"You asked.

"Either."

You knew that wasn't what she meant, but you refused to go there with her.Her brown eyes blazed into yours.You drank simultaneously.

"Never have I ever lied to my husband."You deadpanned to remind them you were in this together.Everyone of them drank.

"Never have I ever had a sex related injury."

Frankie stared at Tanya when she didn't drink.

"Tanyaaaa"

"Frankie"Tanya mocked good naturedly.

"You have."she insisted.

Tanya winced and took the shot. Embarrassed and hoping no one would ask the million dollar question.

"Okay, but how??"You asked.

Tanya covered her blushing face in her hands.

"Damn it,Sherry."

"She was with Simon on a free pass day."Frankie snickered darkly.

“We all know how that goes.” Tanya rolled her eyes.

Sherry raised an eyebrow. "Not all of us do."

"Never have I ever had sex with Simon." Amber singsonged.

"It's not even your turn!" Tanya winced and took the shot.

You were feeling so warm and buzzing hard.You unthinkingly took the shot along with Tanya and Frankie.

"You?"Sherry's voice was filled with judgment.

"Surprised?"

"Not even a little." She sniffed.

"Anyone ever tell you, you're awful judgmental for a woman in a polygamist marriage?"You pointed out.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me.You act pretty high and mighty for someone who sucks the same cock we do."

"I am not like you." She hissed venomously."I didn't choose this!"

"And you think I did?"Amber stood, swaying drunkenly.

"I didn’t mean you." Sherry voice lost it's venom. "But the rest of you did."

"You're so wrong for thinking' that and even worse for saying' it!"Tanya's eyes filled with tears.

"It's none of your fuckin' business how we ended up in this situation!" You spoke louder than you intended to, likely the effects of the alcohol.

The double doors burst wide open.

“That is enough!” Your husband knew how to make an entrance.

"What in the hell is going on in here?"Negan thundered looking at you suspiciously.

No one moved.Sherry's anger was still apparent in her expression.You wondered how long he'd been listening.

"Explain.Now." He demanded picking on Brandy who hadn't said a thing.

"W-well...They were drinking and playing some stupid game.Some sex game?" her eyes focused on You.

"A sex game?" Negan repeated, disbelief in his tone.

"Yup. Not a one of us's been to Canada and Frankie kissed a girl, Now Sherry thinks we're all a buncha sluts." Amber recapped brazenly.

Negan blinked a few times.

"Well damn,you are trashed!I'm cuttin' you off." He took the bottle of vodka from her. From the look on her face it seemed she had forgotten she was holding it.

"I'll get you some water."Frankie nodded decisively and tried to shake off her buzz.She still swayed a little on her way to the sink.

"So what I'm getting' here is, you all got wasted and started sharing war stories about sex with me?"

You didn't know what to say.You were,despite Sherry being an asshat, feeling really good right about now.

"You are around each other all day everyday and the subject had never come up before?" He asked, feigning amusement."Wow. I don't know if that's an insult or a compliment."

You giggled.He was finally getting a taste of his own medicine.

"What's so funny over there,Y/n?"

Uh-oh no pet names.Daddy was maaad.The ridiculous thought made you chuckle and soon you were emitting peels of laughter so infectious that Tanya started laughing too.

"It's not fucking funny.I don't like drama."

Sherry rolled her eyes.

"Coulda fooled me." You jibed under your breath.

Tanya heard you and mashed her lips together to hold back her smile.

"What did you just say?"

You shrugged carelessly.

"Every one of you to your bedrooms!I don't want to hear one peep outta for the rest of the day and as for you, trouble-maker.You are comin’ with me.”

"Sure thing,Daddy." The corners of your lips quirked into an almost grin as you stood and headed for your room.

"Smart ass." He grumbled following behind you.

Mischievous Magicians- A JSE Egos Fanfic

Recap: Marvin has returned to the egos, however, he did so recklessly, and is spending his time in the hospital, occasionally drifting into unconsciousness as he waits for his injuries to heal. More recently, however, Jackieboyman’s son, Liam, was finally born, on the eve of the one-year anniversary of Overnightwatch, and they found there was one more baby than expected, who was named Brandon. Meanwhile, Seán finished recording his video for the day, only to find that Merlin, whom is actually just a Marvin, belonging to a different universe, was sitting in his home and enjoying what little of himself he could, since, as it turns out, he has been chasing his world’s Anti, and believes that he came to our universe, looking to destroy it.

[December 17th]

Seán ran after Merlin, who was happily bouncing around the streets of Brighton, basically showing off his “skills”, which, Seán had a feeling were just being temporarily boosted by his magic.

“Hurry up, Jackaboy! We’re gonna be la-ate!” Merlin taunted him in a sing-songy voice, a big, dopey grin plastered on his face, as Seán finally caught up to him.

“Please don’t call me that.” He wheezed, looking up at the childish magician, who was sitting on an outcropping, much like how Spiderman probably would, “Also, what the hell are we even doing?!”

Merlin’s grin dropped for a moment, as he probably had to think about it, but he smiled softly, and shrugged, making an “I dunno” noise.

Seán facepalmed, “Of course you don’t. What are you trying to do, anyways?”

“Uh... Explore Brighton..? We... don’t exactly live here in my universe...”

“... You don’t..?”

“Nope. Ours, uh, is kinda geographically different..? I-I don’t even know if we have a Brighton. You can probably pretty much forget ‘England’ as a whole.” He paused, putting on a mild poker face, “But now that I think about it, I may actually live in some kind of pocket dimension, which could explain why our Anti resorted to attacking and destroying other universes... Not very easy to destroy a pocket dimension you didn’t make..”

“... I have many questions.”

“That’s understandable.”

“... Did... Did you just... UwU..? In- In real life?!”

“Mayyyybeee...”

“For the love of god, stop making that face.”

Merlin’s dopey grin returned, “Hmmm... Nah. Don’t feel like it.”

The mischievous magic man practically leapt back into action, darting around a corner so quickly that Seán figured it would be useless to try and run after him or make him calm down.

Marvin darted away from this strange world’s version of Seán, his eyes lighting up with pure childish joy as the thrill of running and jumping around Brighton like it were a playground or trampoline kicked in. He didn’t even notice that Seán had stopped following him until he finally landed himself on a lamppost, balancing exactly how Jackie had taught him. He looked around the city, his eyes wide with curiosity and wonder. His attention snapped downwards, as a familiar voice with a thick Scottish accent called to him.

“Hey, what on earth are ya doin’ up there?!” It was none other than Jackie’s friend, Oliver! Or, at least, this world’s version of him. He could tell that this Oliver hadn’t met Marvin quite yet.

“Oh, y’know. Just... Hanging around!” Merlin grinned childishly as he swung down, hanging upside-down from the lamppost now. Oliver snorted in amusement, probably not expecting him to do that.

“What’re you even dressed as?”

“Oh, this isn’t a costume, I’m just a magician.”

“Aye, okay... Guess it kinda makes sense..” He paused, “Oh, where are my manners? I’m Oliver!”

He dropped down, and stood up, “Marv- I mean Merlin.”

Oliver was obviously a bit suspicious now, but he didn’t say anything, “Aye. ‘Sa good name, lad.”

“Yours, too!”

“... You know, you kinda remind me of a good friend of mine. You don’t happen to know an Irish lad by the name of Simon, d’ya?”

“Yep! Dunno if he remembers me, though.”

“Well, that’s easily fixed, lad! I was actually on my way to see him. Why don’t ya come with me?”

“Sure thing! Sounds fun to me!”

Merlin had no clue where they were now. All he could tell from this was that Jackie didn’t live with the other egos anymore in this universe. They were at a small apartment complex, waiting for someone, presumably Jackie, to answer the door.

The doorknob turned, and the door opened, revealing Jackie, whose face lit up when he saw his friend, “Oh! Oliver! I didn’t expect to see you today! ... And... uh... Who..?”

“Aye, this guy calls ‘imself Merlin. Says he was a friend of yours at one point?”

“Uh, h-hey, Simon.” He waved nervously, knowing Jackie could tell what his actual name was.

Jackie put on a smile, and let them in, “Well, no matter! Come on in, you guys.”

Merlin’s face lit up, and he practically hopped into the apartment, “Sweet!”

The three spent an hour or so laughing and having a good time, until Oliver said he had to go home, for obvious reasons he didn’t need to say.Once he left, and Jackie had closed the door behind him, the hero turned slowly to face him, eyes narrowed slightly.

“Who are you? Why do you look like him?!” His tone was... less than favorable.

“Because... I’m him..? But? From another universe..?”

“... Well, that explains the difference in temperament..”

“What?”

“... Nothing.” Jackie paused, “Why are you here, exactly?”

“... Cuz I sorta chased after my world’s Anti when he found out he could leave it..? I think he came here in his most recent expedition...”

“... That’s not good.”

“Yeah, that’s what you Seán said, too.”

“Wait, you’ve spoken to Seán? H-How long have you even been here?!”

“Uh, yeah... I’ve been here a couple of days now... Went to Seán’s place yesterday to try and cool off or something, and, uh, he found me. I didn’t realize your Seán was woken up already...” He started fidgeting nervously again.

“Ah, okay. That’s fine, i guess. Just as long as you don’t mean to cause any trouble.”

“Oh! No, no! No, I’m only here to try and help you guys fight my Anti.”

“... Why would we need help anyways?”

“.... Because my Anti isn’t your everyday anti who doesn’t give a shit if his plans are a little last minute. He spends every waking moment plotting his every move, and the only thing to keep him from it in the first place is the rare occasions where we get a new ego. On those occasions, he usually sits back a while, and watches how they act, so he can predict them better.”

“How do you fight him if he knows your every move?!”

Merlin paused, and shrugged, making a bit of a poker face, “I dunno. My jackie doesn’t usually let me fight him.”

“And... You think you can help us fight him... How?”

“Because I know his fighting style better than you. And it was an excuse to get my Jackie to let me leave.”

That last comment got a laugh from the Hero, much to Merlin’s delight.

“God, you’re so childish.” Jackie laughed, putting his hand to his face, “I can see why he’d be so protective of you.”

“Hey, don’t think you can hold me back, old man! I have magic powers!” Merlin joked, a playfully determined look on his face as he pulled a hand back, pretending to wave an imaginary wand in the air, as though he were holding only one end of a pair of nunchucks or something. He almost lost his grin when he started feeling a slight shift in the world around him, and he realized that Jackie hadn’t taken any notice of it. He had a feeling that his Anti was preparing for something big, and he almost regretted trying to befriend the egos of this world. He wanted to save them, but... What if he was already too late..? He tried not to think about it, especially because he knew this world’s jackie had kids, just like his own Jackie did.

“... You okay, Merlin..?” Jackie’s features softened as he looked at the slightly smaller ego.

“... I’m... really worried about what my Anti will do with this world... I... I really like this place... I don’t want it to be destroyed... And..! And not to mention what could happen to you and the other egos from here, if he succeeds..!” He tried his best to keep his voice from breaking. He almost flinched when he detected Jackie hugging him, not expecting that.

“Hey, it’s okay, Merlin. He’s not gonna do anything to us, I promise.” They both knew it was a lie, but neither seemed to care, as if trying to convince themselves that it was true.

[December 21st]

Merlin happily bounded through the park, making sure he didn’t stray too far from Jackie and Ava, since he’d came to help them (specifically Ava) be assured that nothing bad was gonna happen to them while they were taking their new sons to the park. He slowed down a little as he picked up more of their current conversation, wanting to make sure everything was alright.

“... Brandon... powers, Jackie...”

“Shit, he does..? W-What kind?” Merlin already knew the answer to the question, as, in his universe, Liam and Brandon were born much earlier in the timeline than they were here, and were 8 years old now. Though, they hadn’t started developing powers until they were toddlers...

“Well, right now, he’s just got really abnormal strength levels... I’m worried he might accidentally hurt his brother..” Yep, that was one of them, alright. He just wished he could tell them all the funny stories he had about their sons’ powers.

“Don’t worry, Ava, we’ll make sure he doesn’t. Promise.”

Ava was still clearly worried about it, but she didn’t say anything.

Merlin decided to change the conversation, and turned around, still bouncing, as he walked backwards, “Hey! Guys! Look, a rainbow!” He pointed to the multicolored arch behind them, and both glanced in its direction. Jackie laughed as soon as he saw it, getting a confused, yet amused glance from Ava.

“What’s so funny about the rainbow?”

“I dunno, it’s just weird, i guess. Such a weird time and place to have one, you know?”

“I suppose it is.”

“It’s just raining over there, you two.. It’s not that deep.” He joked.

Merlin watched from afar as Thorn cautiously tried to approach Liam’s crib, amusement written all over his face, as the little snake creature shrank back from the small hands that grasped at the air in front of it. Jackie and Ava were out on a date, and Merlin had agreed to babysitting for them, until they came back.

A sudden thud on the patio brought his attention to the glass door, and he stood, carefully walking over to it, to look out and see what it was. He was surprised to see what looked like a person around his height, lying flat on the ground, wearing... a hospital gown?

He quickly opened the door, and darted to their side, turning them over to check for injuries. He had to hold himself from reeling back a few inches when he saw who it was- Another version of him! He must’ve been this world’s Marvin. That didn’t matter, though, because this version of him was clearly in no shape to be out of the hospital just yet, and had probably snuck out with a transportation spell. Hopefully it hadn’t backfired on him, because otherwise, he’d probably have just re-damaged several of his healing injuries.

“...J..ackie..?” The other groaned.

“Nope, sorry, Jackieboy’s off on a date. Girlfriend stuff, y’know?”

“... Then who...?”

“Uh. Long story. I’ll, uh, explain once I figure out what to do about this..” After that, the shorter-haired him passed out, presumably from the pain.

Marvin ran through a dense woodland he didn’t recognize, breathing heavily as he tried to outrun something he couldn’t see. Then, to his surprise and horror, the world around him was consumed by darkness, and all motion stopped.

A brief moment of nothing but darkness and silence passed, and then, his vision began flashing with images that flew by so fast, he couldn’t even really process them. Someone or something started screaming in his voice, and as he slowly walked forwards, it got louder, and the images stopped, revealing a version of himself on his knees, roughly grasping his hair between his fingers as he screamed.

Marvin froze at the sight, as the words being screamed slowly became more and more audible.

“No! You can’t do this! They were happy! Put them back! Let them go! They don’t deserve this-!” The longer-haired version of himself sobbed, as Anti walked into view, holding a knife, with a sickeningly sadistic, psychotic look plastered on his face. Behind the glitch flashed in the scattered bodies of the other egos, and more surprisingly, himself. The demon was laughing hysterically at the magician’s pain, each passing moment leaving him seeming to be more and more deranged, as he loomed over the broken magician before him, knife raised, and ready to kill.

Then, it all stopped, and a small, 8-year-old boy, who looked a fair bit like Jackie, appeared in front of him, his face devoid of any emotion.

“It’s too late to save them. I’m sorry. He has already won. You’re all going to become His puppets. Please, when you see him, tell Merlin to come home. I am afraid that he may not make it back. Our Anti is much more dangerous than he thinks.”

“Wait, who’s Merlin?!”

“... He’s you.”

Simon movie/music headcanons? Simon and/or Jessica + babysitting (since you said he’s better with kids and I’d love to see your take). Also the obligatory “ah crap we gotta go to Gotham” hc/storyline crossover with Batfam/Batman? No pressure you just said “ideas?” And I saw so many scrolling through :)

music : Simon was a hundred percent behind Britney Spears & really hated (& still hates J*stin T*mberlake) & is still a known stan, also he loved the Spice Girls & while he’s been a lil busy to listen to current music & know who they’re talking about he would totally die for Beyoncé

movie’s : he’s a nerd so I think he’d be really into sci-fi/fantasy movies but also I think he’d watch gotg & yell about how theres actually no sound in space so in reality I think he unapologetically loves romcoms & his fav movies are The Princess Bride, 2005′s Pride & Prejudice, Big Eden tbh & also Jessica thinks its adorable

babysitting : ok ok my actual weakness? Simon with kids??? ok ok, he’s literally the best uncle ever & its not like he’s a kid whisperer but he’d literally never raise his voice to a minor/woman ever like he could be giving Farid cooking lessons & Farid could literally dumb boiling water on him & Simon would be all calm & make sure FArid was ok & the stuff was put away b4 he saw to his burns like he..just won’t yell at kids, he’s a good man & he was yelled at by alot of people when he was little & he’d never wanna be a grown ass man who tried to scare kids like them so he just would never???? & when he’s watching kids they get that, like they know he’s gonna enforce the rules but he’d like talk to them not scream/punish, & he’s really good at getting into their games because he can literally carry like 4 toddlers at once somebody stop this beautiful man. when any of Farid’s friends accidentally break one of his toys (or Farid himself) Simon can literally just fix it & he makes sure they understand that so they don’t get to upset. he’s also a firm believer in the saying sorry rule as in “sorry means you won’t do “it” again” & makes sure the kids understand that when they are in trouble, he also is really cool & really does enjoy spending his free time w family & friends, so he will always help Farid & his friends (if they’re over) w homework & he loves helping him w projects tbh (when Farid is older & in the science fair, trust me when I say Farid’s not entering with a weak ass volcano), there’s so much more I can go on about Simon & kids forever so I’m prob gonna make a parent hc post eventually tbh, so I’m gonna move on to Jessica.

Jessica : admittedly I put less thought into this, ok so while I think Jess isn’t bad w kids like she’s not one of those freaks who are mean to kids for no reason, I don’t think she’d like actively try to deal with them like on cases she’s content having Simon play w them & honestly she doesn’t like babies they cry & they can be hurt so easily & she doesn’t want to hurt them so she never holds them & like children kinda give her anxiety because she doesn’t wanna upset them so she overthinks everything she says & does w them & how they interpret it & it’s a never ending spiral of panicking so…yeah she doesn’t seek em out, but! when they go to her while she’s patroling or hanging w Simon’s fam or something she’s so nice??? she doesn’t realize it but her smile & how she talks to them?? every kid just gets inspired to be just like her?? like with Simon they feel safe but with Jessica they feel like heroes??? does any of that make sense I’m just kinda blabbering & I’m gay & can’t explain my thoughts properly lol

gotham/batfam : ok them going to Gotham for a case is interesting but whats more interesting??? going to Gotham because Bruce invited him! like Bats invited him to the cave so…he visits, like while he works w the League it makes sense for him to work on the League’s official vehicles, but he gets asks to look at the batmobile? like ok let me explain Bats is a dad & Simon’s roughly his eldest’s age so he low-key reminds him of Dick (esp personality wise) & he feels unappreciated? Bats isn’t good w words but he is good w gestures so yeah he asks Simon to fix his car after is crashes the billionth time & yeah he lets Simon upgrade it lord knows it needed them & sure maybe he had Alfred bully Simon into staying for dinner to make sure he ate & sure maybe he made sure Damian was here because Simon loves children & having him teach Damian about cars while he worked on it cheered him up but he doesn’t care or anything (he’s /this/ close to writing up adoption orders).

Simon w the rest of the fam starting w Alfred: he loves him there’s just a shared respect of someone who does everything for family, like everytime they see eachother the look the exchange…it tells a thousand stories, also they exchange reciepes & cooking tips (& parenting tips) all the time & when Simon goes over he’ll bring something he made from one of Alf’s recipes & Alf will make one of Simon’s & they’ll see how it turned out….what I’m saying is that they’re bros’s they’re /this/ close to starting a book club together

Dick: like Alfred they bonded near instantly from the mutual reconition of doing everything for their family but also Dick hit on him once & if Simon wasn’t crazy about Jessica right then he would’ve taken him up on it, Simon mostly visits either to just chat, for some advice w Jessica or tbh to hang w his bf Tiger, when he visits he always brings food so Dick really doesn’t mind tbh, long story short is they bros but like more low-key than him & Alf & Bruce

Jason: Simon doesn’t really have a no killing rule or anything but he doesn’t like it at all y’know but he also doesn’t disagree w Jason’s methods so he doesn’t but heads w him but Jason did come to see him w he found out he was hanging w Alf, now Jason joined in on his & Alf’s recipe trades & sometimes they’ll talk about books or something. Really they’re not close but Jason really appreciates having another person to talk to (& he really is that ride or die friend) & who doesn’t judge him at all tbh & Simon’s really just the same way, like they only talk once or twice a month but they do mean alot to each other. also Jason bullies Simon into befriending Roy,Artemis & Bizzaro & while the latter two took some time to like him & Roy hit it off immediately to Jason’s instant regret

Tim: Tim’s smart but honestly him & Simon just clash y’know & (tim stans don’t interact) like y’know if he wanted to talk to a genius he’d talk to Cyborg,Cisco,Dick, or Bruce (who are smarter)? before him like Tim’s just young enough & just old enough that Simon doesn’t really deal w his age group? I do think Simon’s nice to him but theres just no friendship between them they just coexist tbh

Duke: Duke’s a new young hero who’s actually up in the daytime!?? so yeah him & Simon run into eachother alot & Simon’s been in the business just long enough not to be a rookie so he helps alot & Simon was shocked at how smart Duke was tbh & really likes talking stuff w him if only to see how long it’ll take for him to figure it out? & its always so quick? Simon can’t wait to see how big he’ll be in a few years so while Simon’s only like 6-8 years older then him he’s sorta tryin to be a mentor to him

Damian: Bruce is Jewish & so is literally the rest of the fam so Simon’s literally one of the only practicing Muslims that see Damian often so he invites Damian to his family for their holidays & celebrations & that may be the only times they interact but it means so much to Damian & the family when he does it

Cass: Cass is the best judge of character in the entire DC universe & she saw Simon & decided he was good & just?? befriended him like they don’t bond over anything in particular but Simon always treats her like a princess (in a nice way) & Cass & Jess are friends so Simon’s cool w her & they’re both pretty much the friends yelling (& signing in Cass’s case) your doing amazing sweetie when they see eachother

Steph: She’s closer to Jessica but honestly Stephanie’s the Gina Linetti of the dc universe she’s that bitch she’s a known icon, when you need someone destroyed via social media you go to her & given the amount of shit on the green lantern official twitter (they’ve had one for public realations since Hal’s Earth GL days) against Simon & Jessica for terrible reasons…lets just say…Steph’s the friend to have tbh (Vic, & Babs just threaten to shut down twitter when it happens Steph detroys them)

Luke: Simon heard Luke’s story & he knew how smart he was but he wasn’t ready for when they met, they talked for hours & once Simon invited him to come to a bar w him & Vic they immediately become that group of science bros, but also he & Vic are like the only people Simon knows that “sport” & while Simon really doesn’t its nice to feel like a “normal” dude sometimes so he always watches the game w him

Tiffany : Tiffany’s such a genius & Simon’s a engineer & Tiffany thought that was so cool “Luke you’ve gotta invite him over c’mooooon” so yeah Simon came over to meet this Tiffany & they literally spent the better part of an entire day talking shop it was honestly one of the best days of Simon’s life, now Simon takes her to science exhibits w Luke & lectures & Tiffany tells him about what she learned each day & Simon always asks the right questions & yeah they’re just nerdy bffs

Helena (Rebirth): she scared him at first but Simon understands trying to be a hero after doing things you’re not proud of & situations you can’t always control & they may not be friends but Simon does believe she’s good & that means everything to her

Babs (Oracle): you can’t be a hero & not know who Oracle is, she keeps everything running together?? they don’t talk much honestly Simon barely knows her name but aside from his Mom,Sister, & Jessica there’s no one he respects more

Claire : Simon thought it was funny at first, like this little girl really got up & decided to be a hero & then did it??? & continues to do it everynight???? but then he found out what it does to her & Simon & her have & will probaly never meet but Simon always asks about her to make sure she’s doing ok, Simon is planning on going to the guardians to see why she can’t get a ring because he can’t think of much things braver than dying a little bit each time you’re a hero

Harper : she really did that? like for her brother god does Simon respect that & Simon doing all of that for someone who may as well be his brother? god does Harper respect that. they bond over mechanical stuff & help each other on projects & once they started hanging out God does Harper’s suit & gadgets improve like holy shit

Kate : Simon was honestly uncomfortable with her when he found out she was ex military & honestly is still a little but he does recognize her importance & when he sees her prowling the night god does he leave her alone

Jessica w the Batfam stating w Bruce : I like to think there’s a few hero support groups for various things & she didn’t wanna go to the anxiety one alone so Bats (who already went but she didn’t need to know that) offered to go with her & she knew he took Simon to the depression one so she said yes, & now they go together every week & honestly it means alot to her & they kinda bonded over that (and how much they both love Simon (Bruce in a paternal way)

Alfred : Jessica adores Alfred he’s like the second easiest person to talk to & he’s so calming & he makes tea & he never talks down to her & he gives good advice so whenever Simon visits Jessica tries to come to if just to sit with the man he’s her new favorite Grampa

Dick : Dick’s younger than the league but super experienced in the hero business & tbh theres not many who are more experienced so when she needs help w a gig but is not about to call the league the contacts him (over text obv), they don’t hang much, because despite popular taste Dick’s a lil too serious for her taste, she does appreciate the effort he makes to make her feel like they’re peers when he’s clearly issuing commands, she def sees thru his jokes & facade & while she never mentions it there’s a understanding between them

Jason : Jess doesn’t like killing point blank (ayy) but she understands the J*ker needs to uhhh die so she refuse to hang w him on moral grounds but also she’s low-key rooting for him tbh

Tim : I think they just met over completely normal conversations?? like they both just awkwardly talked & everytime they meet they just meet & awkwardly talk? Jessica’s glad he’s back (it was not fun seeing Bats mourn) & Tim thinks she’s a fucking powerhouse but yeah their relationship is literally the friends of a mutual friend that constantly meet & talk but also aren’t really friends

Duke : Jess thinks Duke is so cool, he’s one of Gotham’s only superpowered heroes & he’s pretty much its only line of defense during the day. what she didn’t expect was how much of a nerd he was, when they finally met they spent no less than 8 hours throughout the day talking about Lord of the Rings

Damian : Damian doesn’t partically care about Jess one way or the other but when they did meet he wanted to know why she changed her costume as the old one was clearly had a better design, Jess didn’t have the heart to explain all that happened but they did start talking about art & stuff, now their relationship is mostly Jess commissioning him to draw her oc’s tbh

Cass : Cass is also part of the girls club & honestly Jess & her bond so much talking about how their disability’s effect their day to day lives, they each have their own support system but there’s no reason they can’t support eachother. aren’t close friends but are still one of eachothers greatest cheerleaders

Steph : Steph is part of the girls club & they both love pokemon honestly they kept on running into eachother when pokemon go came out & they still play it together, alot of the girl heroes get together all the time for a ladies night & while Jess isn’t ready yet Steph is putting an honest (& impressive) effort in convincing her (she’s close tho)

Luke : they’re so mutually impressed by eachothers determination, like they’re not close at all but god do they respect eachother

Tiffany : they respect eachothers aesthetics & thats the strongest way for women to become friends tbh, always have makeup on hand for eachother. their friendship is the true definition of girl solidarity tbh. Tiffany’s so busy coming off as intelligent that sometimes she forgets to be a lil girl & its so easy w Jessica, Luke swears she looks like she’s going to disneyland or something everytime Jessica comes over

Helena (Rebirth): again she doesn’t like killers but she’s part of the girls club & while there may be no love between them Jess does believe in second chances & she really is rooting for her

Babs : Jessica is so shook by her, Babs is shook by her they recognize powerhouses when they see it & Jessica seeing a disabled woman being easily the power house of the batfam??? she’s honestly never felt so inspired, Jess hands down hero worships her & tbh Babs is shocked because a effing Green Lantern thinks she’s powerful & that mutual validation??? awe inspiring

Claire : they also met at the hero support group & Jessica’s with Simon, like she came back to life (sorta) because of a Green Lantern ring why can’t Claire have one?? they hang out together & honestly Claire’s one of the few people Jessica’s comfortable going “out & about” with

Harper : part of the girl squad & while they don’t have much in common they really do like each other in wow that one girl that saved me last night seems really cool tbh, definite respect there

Kate : she’s so gay for her but everytime Kate flirts w her she forgets how to fuction therefore their relationship is in a constant impasse tbh, the constant paradox of wanting to be her gf but also can’t talk to her & Kate just wants to learn her name
