He turned his daughter into Plant Godzilla, saddest thing I've ever seen.

One of my personal favourites, Biollante tied with SpaceG in the poll. Wanted to keep her relatively close to the source material, just played up the rose motif a lot more. Kinda funny actually, I think I Mandela Effected myself into thinking that her canon design had thorns along the back and arm...vine things, then I checked Wikizilla and was like "Ah, okay, guess not."

Not as "gnarly" as the source material but I think that's artistic skill issues on my part.

Although I haven't been putting a ton of thought into the "lore" of this Godzilla AU, Biollante here is one of the characters that kinda stumps me purely because of how weird her canon backstory is. I really don't know if I'd try to keep the whole FNAF-esque "There's a Human soul in there somewhere" aspect (In fact, even Toho themselves seem to drop it in all of her other appearances, then treat her as just another villain monster for Godzilla to beat up).

At the same time, I think she's one of my favourites because of how screwed up yet strangely sympathetic she is.

Revelation that the key to understanding Godzilla is that you must understand it is wrestling. It is wrestling. The good guy monsters like Godzilla, Anguirus, and Rodan are the Faces who you always root for because they’re YOUR GUYS. The good humans like Miki and Serizawa and the Shobijin are the Jim Ross-style announcers and interviewers who comment on the match or chat with the wrestlers between fights. The bad humans and evil aliens are the corporate guys like Vince McMahon, and the giant robots like MechaGodzilla are what happens when they decide to get in the ring themselves. Rival kaiju/toku series like Gamera or Ultraman are rival wrestling companies and underground circuits. Baby Godzilla is Hornswoggle.

It's a good time to be Godzilla. He is raking it in, you might say. After all, he is the star of not just one but two extremely large movies in the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024) and the acclaimed Godzilla: Minus One (2023). Just imagine him sitting back in the destroyed shell of a skyscraper in whatever miscellaneous supercity, getting comfortable, flicking through his fat wad of cash, and $miling. You've earnt it, pal.

But it gets better still for the extremely large lizard, because #godzilla is trending on Tumblr. That is because Godzilla, at last, comes in pink.

Godzilla in the original film (and Shin Godzilla and Minus One): This beast represents our fears and damaged psyche caused by nuclear destruction. We must be staunchly anti-war or risk the annihilation of our species to petty grievances. We will never truly heal from the pain and suffering that occurred in Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

I should mention that I legitimately love both styles of film, but the mood whiplash between them is pretty intense.
