He was pretty sure it had something to do with his super healing, but he wasn’t completely sure. They never really had to test it out, after all. But he healed fast, so it generally made sense that his weird radioactive spider system also fought off any infections and illnesses.

Morgan’s lips wobbled. Peter knew what her fake pout looked like well enough to know this wasn’t it. “Petey…”
Peter had a lot of reasons to feel guilty. He felt guilty for scaring her. He felt guilty for forgetting to lock his bedroom door, for making scaring her a possibility. He kind of, in a way, felt guilty for doing it in the first place, though not nearly enough to stop.
But more than anything, he felt guilty for this: “Morgan, promise me you won’t tell him. He…he won’t let us swim anymore if you do. And I’m not sick, my tummy just hurt a little bit, but I’m all better now. Promise me you won’t tell him, okay?”
“But…”
“Morgan. Promise.”

The Intruder
Paring: mob!Tom x reader
Summary: Asking one of his men to get something for him, Tom does not expect him to come back with an intruder as well.

Authors note: Hi, sorry I haven't written in a while, I've been super busy with school, my finals are coming close and a lot of things are happening. Rather way this is my entry to @laureharrier and @tommyparkerr posted Endgame Depression writing challenge with the prompt “You'll be alright. No one will hurt you now”. I hope you guys like it, and I always appreciate feedback and your thoughts.

It was normal for Tom's men to walk around the house, often picking up things for him or something like that, but they never interacted with you. Usually you tried to stay away from places of the house where other mobsters walked around freely, but sometimes you were desperate for food so obviously, you go and get it. And if you meet any of them they usually ignore you, not thinking much about you.
You walked towards the kitchen, thinking about what you wanted for breakfast. Entering you open the fridge seeing pancake batter from two days ago and you decide to make yourself some delicious pancakes.
Putting a pan on the stove you pour some of the batters into the pan. The smell of pancakes fills the air when you hear the front door opens. Looking out from the kitchen you can see one of Tom's men, you think his name is Ethan, walking through the hallway walking toward Tom's office you guessed.
Getting done making the pancakes you put them on a tray and start to walk towards yours and Tom's bedroom to eat in there. As you were walking, a tray of pancakes in your hands, you could hear a lot of shuffling behind you. Looking over the shoulder you see Ethan with his gun pulled out toward you. Stopping in your tray you turn around looking at him with fear in your eyes.
"Is there something I can help you with!?" You asked with a rather harsh voice, annoyed, mad and scared that he was holding you at gun sight.
"I think you should come with me, and take a trip down to the warehouse. I think Tom would like to hear an explanation on how you got in here." He spits at you. His tall figure stalked slowly towards you, the gun still pointed at you, his lips pressed together in a thin line as he looked up and down your body.
Taking a few steps back away from him, he launched for you grabbing your upper arm in a tight grip making you drop the tray with your breakfast on the floor with a loud thud. You try to pull your arm out of his death grip but it's no use, it's to tight.
He starts to walk down the hallway dragging you with him, walking past maids who tried to warn to him but he didn't listen. No, he was more focused on impressing Tom that he caught an intruder in his house.
You were dragged after him, tears in your eyes now from how tight the grip on your arm. You tried to hit him to make him let go, but he just pressed harder then. He opened the door to his car and threw you inside jumping inside himself. You tried to crawl out on the other door but he grabbed you by your ankle and dragged you inside again, motioning to the driver to drive. Knowing you were stuck in the car as it speeds off you stopped struggling against him.
Curling up by the door letting a few tears slip. You weren't scared, no-no, you knew Tom would probably kill him, but it was just the whole situation. Being dragged out of your house by a deadly grip, because this idiot thought you were an intruder.
Looking out the window you saw the trees passing by, as the car speed by them. The sun in the background making this look like a beautiful day.
"You realize you're doing a horrible mistake?" You asked Ethan through a son. He scoffed at your question rolling his eyes and decides to ignore you completely.

Tom had had an okay day at work so far. It was no different from any other day, he and Harrison sitting in a few meetings and listening to excuses from people who owed him money. Some women tried to seduce them, but Tom just brushed them off and over to Harrison, who gladly accepted.
Right now Tom and Harrison were sitting in Tom's office waiting for Ethan to come with some files Tom had asked him to bring him. The brown haired mobster was getting impatient, needing those files to get on with this case. He had pulled up his phone trying to send a few texts to you, but no response. Not thinking much off it, he assumed you were sleeping.
"How long is he going to use!?" Tom groans, throwing his head back in annoyance and frustration. Harrison chuckled, shaking his head at his best friend, knowing how impatient he got, and if Ethan used much more time, he would be in trouble.
"I don't know. You only asked 45 minutes ago, and it's a 20 minutes drive from here to the house. So," Harrison teased, earning a death glare from Tom.
"Don't push me Osterfield," Tom growled, looking away from him, down to his lap where he fiddled with the ring around his finger. The cold metal gliding around his finger as he twisted the ring around.
Suddenly there were a lot of noises outside the office. Raising his eyebrows he eyes Harrison who sits there with the same expression as Tom has. When a knock is heard at the door Tom mutters a come in and the door slowly opens to reveal Ethan who stands in the door opening. He doesn't come all the way in, half of his body is on the outside still.
"Here is the files boss," Ethan says with pride written all over his face. He throws the files over to the desk. Tom's eyes follow the folder as it flies from his hand and lands on his wooden desk. Looking up at the guy who stands in the door Tom raises his eyebrows silently asking him what's going on.
"What's on the other side of the door?" Harrison speaks up eyeing Ethan who clears his throat.
"Now, when I went to your house I found this girl that was sneaking around," Ethan starts looking outside the door to see the girl who was struggling against his grip.
"An intruder?" Tom furrows his brows, trying to think who could have broken into his house.
"Yeah, exactly! So I brought her here." Ethan says ecstatically. Tom's and Harrison's eyes locked, both wondering who this mystery girl is, so giving Ethan a small nod with his head he steps fully in dragging a girl in with him.
When Tom's eyes land on your body he froze. Never had he imagined that Ethan would drag you into his office. Clenching his jaw he eyes Harrison who looked equally as surprised as Tom. Standing up Harrison walks to the door and closes it.
"Ethan, sit down!" Tom says rather harsh, the smirk on Ethan's lips a bit too big in his opinion.
Following orders, Ethan sat down in one of the leather chairs in front of Tom's dark wooden desk. He felt proud of himself, feeling that he had done a good job.
Tom's eyes travel up and down your body, and his heart breaks when he sees the tears in your eyes. All he could see was red, knowing one of his men had touched you, and from what he could see, left bruises on your upper arm.
Tom motions for you to come closer to him. Rounding the table you stand in front of the love of your life. His eyes roam your body, seeing how bruises of Ethan's fingerprints had started to form sound your arms. Grabbing your hand he pulls you into his lap, stroking up and down your arm eyeing the bruises.
Ethan's confidence is starting to disappear as he sees Tom pull this girl into his lap. His heart starts to beat at an alarming pace when he sees Tom nuzzle his face into the girl's neck. Ethan looks over his shoulder and gets eye contact with Harrison who mouths him 'good luck'.
"What did he do to you?" Tom asks voice cracking as he looked you in the eyes. You could hear in his voice how broken he was that someone had caused you pain, and you loved how much he actually cares for you and how soft he is around you.
You lean into him hiding your face in his neck, your face next to his ear as you tell him everything. Telling him how you made yourself breakfast then he appeared as you walked back, how he dragged you through the house and the maids trying to warn him. How he grabbed you by your ankle and yanked you into the car as you tried to escape the car, and how he ignored your warnings. While you talked Tom strokes your back looking Ethan straight in the eyes as he listened to your voice.
Leaning back you look him in the eyes and you can see how stone hard they are, they show little to no emotion so you grab his face in both hands, forcing him to look at you and you kiss his lips sweetly. Your lips move together carefully as you kiss him with so much passion.
"B-boss?" Ethan speaks up, voice trembling with fear as he realized what a mistake he had done.
"I don't want to hear any excuses!" Tom says to him with anger in his voice.
"Get her home, Harrison," Tom says kissing you one more time before letting Harrison take you outside. Your heart longs for him and you get kinda sad that he wants you to leave, but he knows he's going to torture this guy for laying a finger on you. As Harrison (carefully) dragged you out of the office you say an I love you to Tom.
The office went silent when the door closed, Ethan sat in front of Tom shivering with fear as he now knew what a mistake he had done.
"B-boss, I-I-I swear I d-didn't know. I just thought she was an intruder, maybe someone from another mob, I, I-" he was cut off by Tom slamming his fist in the table making it, and everything on it shiver.
"Save it! I really don't give a fuck what you thought!" Tom says, surprisingly calmly. He rounds his desk now standing in front of the Ethan who clearly wanted to run far, far away.
"You know, it's a shame. I actually really liked you… but then you had to touch what’s mine."
"I didn't know, no one knows," he rushed out, regretting it the second he said it.
"I. Don't. Care. I really don't… you hurt the one person I would die for, you left marks on her. Only I'm allowed to leave any sort of mark on her, and the marks I leave are love marks, marks she thanks me for." Tom looks at the guy in front of him, eyes small and face pale with fair.
"Now," grabbing the man's jaw forcing him to look him in his angry eyes. "When I'm done with you your going to wish you were dead," Tom says with the devil's look in his eyes before Ethan's screams filled the room.

An hour later Tom was walking up the stairs to your bedroom, were he assumed you were watching a movie or something.
No lights were on, only the light from your phone that lit up your face. Tom turned on the light earning your attention. You looked up from your phone, smiling as you saw him walk in the room unbuttoning his suit jacket and hanging it on a chair in the room.
"How are you doing?" Tom asks, now much calmer than earlier today. He walked towards you sitting down on the edge of the bed.
"I'm fine." You say looking as he crawls towards you.
"Let me see." He says a bit more serious. You look confused at him not understanding what he wanted to see.
"Your arm, let me see your arm." He repeats himself crawling closer to you. You lift your arm letting him have a look. He gently grabs your arm, eyes scanning over the bruises that had formed. Kissing your knuckles, and kissing a trail of kisses up your arm all the way to the strap of your tank top.
"You'll be alright. No one will hurt you now." Leaning up he kissed your lips a few times before he positions himself between your leg. His arms sneaking their way under your body and he lays down on your chest nuzzling his head between your breasts.
Your hands found their way into his hair playing with his brown locks. He lets out a small moan of pleasure and nuzzles his face closer into your breasts when you start to run your fingers through his hair making you smile knowing you had this effect on the most powerful boy in the country.
