Under normal conditions, water uptake by the seed is triphasic (Figure 18.8):
Phase I. The dry seed takes up water rapidly by the process of imbibition.
Phase II. Water uptake by imbibition declines and metabolic processes, including transcription and translation, are reinitiated. The embryo expands, and the radicle emerges from the seed coat.
Phase III. Water uptake resumes due to a decrease in ψ as the seedling grows, and the stored food reserves of the seed are fully mobilized.

The only thing better than finding the best fanfic you’ve ever read, fully completed and appreciated by the fandom enough to have its own fanart, is finding out the author just started writing a sequel after 4 years. I’m having a wonderful day!

Coordius the Triphasic Dealmon
“1 Synchro Monster + 1 Xyz Monster + 1 Link Monster Once while this Fusion Summoned card is face-up on the field: You can pay LP in multiples of 2000 and choose 1 effect for every 2000 LP paid (you can only apply each effect once, and you resolve them in listed order, skipping any that were not chosen);
Add 1 Spell/Trap from your GY to your hand.
Destroy 3 cards your opponent control.
This turn, this card gains ATK equal to half of the difference between your LP and your opponent’s, also your other monsters cannot attack.
You can only use this effect of ‘Coordius the Triphasic Dealmon’ once per turn.”

Honestly one of my favorite things about infodumping is planning the infodump itself in order to be as easy to understand as possible and also to come up with weird examples and explanations that are nonetheless correct

I have to go out to an event and I’m on the last chapter of Demonology and the Triphasic Model of Trauma and I’m sitting here in my kitchen sobbing. Not prepared. My god. Not remotely prepared. Truly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read…and I’ve read a lot of fucking books.

if you don't mind me asking, what birth control are you on? I'm not offically diagonsed but im like 90% sure i've got pmdd and getting on birth control just seems like such an easy solution out of this nightmare and i think it'd be easier to obtain than ssris
camrese lo!
definitely try to find a female gyno who is well versed on the differences between monophasic and triphasic birth control; u want either an extended or continuous monophasic one (where the hormones dont fluctuate at all and you skip periods to avoid hormonal fluctuations), or at least thats how i feel. i took a few different brands of triphasic combined pills and they absolutely made my pmdd symptoms worse. i found that not having a natural period or cycle at all is rly the only thing that helps me, but it may be different for u, so if ur able to find a good gyno who listens to u wholeheartedly i think u will have a lot of luck even if camrese lo isn't the right one for u. everyone's hormones r different and pmdd is unfortunately criminally understudied so while this brand and type works for me something else might work for u.. fingers crossed
as for the SSRI part, before i started the bc i was already on 20mg of prozac (the standard treatment for pmdd other than birth control) for other reasons and while it helped me during about half of my cycle, it pretty much became completely useless when the pmdd acted up and did nothing to help my symptoms :P
i wish u luck anon i love u and pmdd is the worst hell on earth

"The three phase approach wasn't even developed by them, or anyone associated with them." who was it developed by, then? do you have a source of who did create it?
The three phase (or triphasic approach, PDF link) was developed by Judith Herman in 1992, building on the foundation of Pierre Janet's work.

Hello again! You guys mentioned that you think that angels and demons have free will but just don't believe that they do. Do you think that Crowley and Aziraphale believe that they have free will or agency in general?
most days, i think both of them are aware that they have free will but also have reasons to tell themselves that they don't. but also, i'm not even entirely sure how the two of them define free will at all... i suppose in the gomens verse, it's about if you can do things that go against the great plan or if you have a fixed nature created by god that causes you to do certain things all according to keikaku.
i think that aziraphale is aware he has free will but falls on the great plan stuff when he feels guilty about something (the other ask about god didn't strike me down for giving away the sword or saving job's kids -> god wanted me to do it -> i can now feel better) or uncertain. as for crowley, today, i am considering other possibilities. she's the one who asks in 1.06 if god planned for armageddon to never go through and (in the deleted lines) mentions god always having a knowing smile on her face, but they're also the one who goes "great pustulent mangled bollocks to the great blasted plan" in 1.03 and is so eager to cast off heaven and hell and make his own decisions w aziraphale by their side... I'm inclined to read his lines in 1.06 being more like "do you think god hoped it would turn out like this" which doesn't preclude free will, it's more just a small expression of faith. but i am also quite entranced by crowley in "demonology and the triphasic model of trauma" who DOES think the great plan caused most of his major life events (and has a whole breakdown over his therapist taking that to the logical conclusion of "She made you, so you would fall.")... i think it is interesting to read crowley trying to convince aziraphale that he has free will as crowley actually trying to convince aziraphale to ADMIT he has free will while also actually trying to convince herself that she actually HAS free will. but also idk! most days i think crowley believes he has free will too

three phase treatment isn't "DID treatment" as much as it is "trauma informed treatment", it isn't at all specific to DID and is moreso about treating trauma. It is often used as a part of DID treatment, but isn't everything that is involved in DID treatment and is also not specific to DID treatment. It's also used for work with PTSD, BPD, OSDD, EDs, and others.
Tumblr media
Yeah, it's no problem.
This is a good addition and you're absolutely right. The triphasic model is largely the same model used to treat other disorders associated with trauma.
