Strep. With Warriors. (You probably guessed that part.)

(thanks Anon, I’m glad you love the writing!)
Guess who’s going to have to deal with each other while feeling like garbage? >:)

Legend smiled in satisfaction as he finished his mending. When he heard fabric shift, he glanced up to see Hyrule turning in bed, still asleep but clearly uncomfortable. He’d been ill since yesterday, and he’d really only woken to vomit or drink some water or broth that Wild had prepared specifically for him. They had been planning to leave yesterday, but after Hyrule had been bedridden everyone settled into domesticity for a little while longer. Twilight, Sky, and Legend had been taking rotating shifts to look after Hyrule since he was so ill, while the others filed in and out to visit.
The door creaked open quietly, and Legend turned to see Sky poking his head in. The veteran gave a small smile and a nod, and the two traded places. It was strange that the Skyloftian knight would almost always take the night shift considering Legend knew how much he enjoyed sleeping, but he didn’t argue the point. Nobody liked night shifts anyway.
Entering his own room, the veteran saw that the large bed was empty. Before Hyrule had gotten ill, the team had been divided into three groups since the rooms at the inn only had a single large bed. To maximize on cost efficiency, three heroes stayed together. Legend’s original roommates were Warriors and Wind, but after Hyrule took over a room for himself, Wind had joined Time, Twilight, and Four, and Wild and Sky had moved in with Legend and Warriors.
Warriors usually stayed up a little late, but the champion often went to bed before anyone, as soon as dinner was finished and the dishes were cleaned. Legend wondered where he’d gone off to.
Shrugging it off, the veteran settled onto the soft mattress, stretching and sighing in contentment, falling asleep.
…Until someone coughing woke him up.
Groaning, Legend squeezed his eyes closed, twisting in bed and accidentally smacking whoever was beside him.
A loud snore erupted from the person next to him, and Legend jumped. When he opened his eyes he saw Wild cupping his nose, grumbling, and Warriors sitting up in bed, clutching his throat with a grimace.
“What’s up with you?” Legend half slurred from sleepiness.
The captain remained silent, shifting and getting out of bed.
“Hey, you ignoring me?” Legend snapped, already annoyed at being woken up.
Warriors turned to glare at him, saying in a raspy voice, “The world doesn’t revolve around you, you know. I’m getting some water.”
“Was that so hard to explain? You woke us up anyway, might as well be courteous and answer our questions.” Legend snarked back.
Wild groaned from under his hands, muttering something that distinctly sounded like, “Why did I get stuck in this room?”
Legend rolled his eyes, slamming his head back onto his pillow and trying to get back to sleep. He vaguely thought he heard the door opening and closing, but he was too tired to care. When morning came and Wild hopped out of bed with his usual pep, Legend slowly sat up and looked around with bleary eyes.
Warriors wasn’t there.
It wasn’t unheard of. The captain didn’t wake up at the butt crack of dawn like a certain champion, but he was still an early riser.
He just got up early. That was all.
Legend nodded, deciding that was that, and got out of the bed, stretching. An hour later, he finally dragged his feet out of the room and paused at a window.
Warriors was outside alone, hunched over a railing on the porch.
He was probably fine. The captain sometimes went off to be alone. They all had moments where they’d had enough of each other. Legend’s first hour of every morning was like that.
Peeking into Hyrule’s room, Legend saw Sky and the traveler sitting side-by-side in the bed reading a book. Or, well, they had probably been reading it at some point; Sky had fallen asleep on Hyrule’s shoulder, and the traveler’s head was bobbing as he nodded off. It was an exasperating sight, even if it did make the veteran smile. Good grief, bird brain.
Hyrule noticed Legend’s gaze, and he gave a sleepy smile.
“Doing better?” Legend asked quietly.
Hyrule nodded, looking far more energized than he had since this had started. It reassured the veteran a little bit. It was good to see that he was on the mend. Hopefully it stayed that way.
Legend didn’t want to intrude too much, and so he nodded with a small smile in return and closed the door. Twilight had the morning shift, so he’d get Sky to bed.
Heading downstairs to grab some breakfast, Legend saw Time and Twilight head outside, the latter looking slightly concerned. Curious, the veteran followed them to see where they were going, and he caught sight of Warriors doubled over by some bushes, very clearly unwell.
Oh. Oh, no.
Legend groaned, rolling his eyes. Why was Warriors getting sick just as Hyrule was improving? They couldn’t be together; he might make the traveler worse! What were they going to do, get another room? Would Legend have to move?
What a nuisance.
Storming outside, Legend opened his mouth to get on Warriors’ case when he saw how pale the captain looked. The fire in his gut died out, and he hastily turned and went back inside, grabbing some water before returning.
By this point Warriors was sitting on the ground, head in his hands, as Twilight and Time flanked him with hands on his shoulders.
“I… I don’t… understand,” Warriors said hoarsely. “I barely got near… Traveler, and… everyone else is fine…”
Legend paused upon hearing him speak. The captain was right, after all; though he’d visited Hyrule, he was probably one of the least likely to get ill with how little he’d exposed himself.
Shrugging, the veteran held out some water. “Guess you’ve got a crappy immune system, Captain.”
“Or he got it from someone else,” Twilight muttered worriedly, looking at Time.
“No one else is sick, to my knowledge,” Time replied. “I’ll check on the others. In the meantime, Captain, let’s get you to bed.”
“Traveler’s just getting better,” Legend said cautiously. “He shouldn’t be with him.”
“We’ll just take him back to his own room for now and figure the rest out later,” Time decided.
Warriors, still curled in on himself, waved a hand dismissively. “I-I can… stay out here… for now.”
The captain shivered, his body tensing, and his head sank further into his knees as he clawed at his hair.
Time’s good eye narrowed. “Captain, either we can assist you back to your room or our Ordonian will carry you back to your room.”
Twilight chuckled and looked like he was absolutely ready and willing to do so.
Warriors raised his head long enough to glare at Time, mumble something, and then lower it again.
It seemed Time was willing, just for the moment, to be merciful. Instead of immediately sicking Twilight on the captain, he slipped a hand under the man’s arm and Twilight did the same on the other side. Both helped haul Warriors to his feet, and he stood well enough, albeit a little wobbly.
Sighing heavily, Legend turned around and went back to his shared room, grabbing his things and getting the bed ready for the captain’s arrival. As he heard footsteps coming down the hallway, he caught the last bit of Warriors’ seeming worried petition to Time.
“P-please… just make sure… everyone else is okay… makes no s-sense for me… to be t-the only one…”
“We’ll check, Captain,” Time said gently as they entered the room.
Legend crossed his arms. “Maybe you’ve just got rotten luck.”
Warriors raised his head, already glistening with sweat, to glare at the veteran, though the motion had little bite to it. Legend offered to take the morning watch for Hyrule after getting some breakfast, and Twilight stayed with the captain. Time checked in on all the boys and it quickly became apparent that no one else actually was sick.
Legend snickered to himself, leaning back in his seat as he grabbed some fresh clothes to mend. The miserable captain really did have terrible luck, poor guy.
That afternoon, Wind took watch for Warriors, who had spent the entire morning sleeping, and Wild took over for Hyrule, who the group quickly decided was healthy enough to not need a constant companion at his bedside after Wild left to make dinner. Legend decided it was as good a time as any to take a nap, and he settled outside on a nice hill with the softest grass he could find, plopping his hat over his face.
It wasn’t until he woke up from his nap that he realized the issue. Because of course Warriors didn’t magically catch Hyrule’s illness when everyone else had not.
And of course it was Legend’s rotten luck to have been the carrier.
Clearing his scratchy throat, the veteran tried to sneak into the inn to grab some water and then hide somewhere in the village. He wasn’t going to take the blame for this; Warriors would never let him hear the end of it. He’d rather just die of whatever this disease was than have the others find out.
With that goal in mind, Legend grabbed his belongings, which had been sitting in the hallway by Warriors’ newly repurposed sickbed, and started to creep down the stairs.
“Veteran?”
Legend paused, swearing internally. He couldn’t ignore the raspy voice. Turning, he saw Hyrule at the top of the stairs watching him curiously.
“What are you doing out of bed?” Legend asked, swallowing and grimacing.
Hyrule looked as if he were about to answer when he recognized the expression on Legend’s face. He frowned. “You got it too?”
“Veteran got what?”
Legend shriveled. No. Not Wind. If he found out everyone would know. “N-nothing.”
“I think Veteran’s sick too,” Hyrule said a little guiltily, looking somewhere to his right down the hallway.
There was a gasp. It might as well have been a death knell as far as Legend was concerned. “VET GOT IT TOO? That makes so much sense, he spent way more time with you than the captain!”
Aaaaand there it was. Great. Great.
Wild boxed him in at the bottom of the stairs, standing there with an eyebrow raised. “You’re sick?”
Legend tried to clear his throat quietly, but based on how everyone’s expression changed as soon as he did it, he clearly didn’t succeed.
Twilight was at the bottom of the stairs beside Wild in an instant. Time walked over a moment later.
“Well go on, then,” Time ordered calmly. “Get to bed. Someone will bring dinner when they get the captain’s food.”
Legend felt his hackles raise at the mere thought of it. “You want me to—to room with—”
Time slowly crossed his arms. Legend floundered for a moment, debating if he should argue more, and decided his throat would hurt too much from the effort. Twirling on his heel, he stomped up the stairs, belongings still slung over his arms, and marched into the accursed room.
Warriors was awake. Sitting up in bed. Clearly eavesdropping.
It was obvious from the sour look on his face.
“So you’re the… the one…” he whispered in a barely audible tone, shoulders shaking at the effort.
“Just shut up,” Legend grumbled as he kicked the door closed behind him and collapsed on the opposite edge of the bed.
Dinner was brought by a groggy Sky, and it was eaten in silence. Legend noticed Warriors barely eating the soup and couldn’t help feeling a little guilty, but he wasn’t going to voice it. He ate his own food heartily, thankfully not feeling sick to his stomach at all. When he finished, though, the world was decidedly spinning, and he groaned, leaning back against the pillows and covering his face with his blanket.
He slept fairly well until he was woken by Warriors throwing up. Legend sat up quickly, was hit with a dizzy spell, and then bent forward, covering his eyes to readjust for a moment. When he didn’t feel like his head was floating in the clouds, he turned and saw Warriors halfway off the bed, panting from exertion. Legend reached over and hesitantly grasped the back of the captain’s tunic to hold him steady, and when he was certain Warriors was finished, he pulled him back to the bed.
Looking around, Legend realized no one else was in the room. Maybe Time got paranoid that the illness would spread. That thought faded when the door pried open and Hyrule and Sky peeked inside.
Oh, those two were the last people who needed to be in here with the way this dumb illness was spreading. Hyrule was recovering, and when Sky got sick he fell hard.
“Get out,” Legend hissed, throwing a pillow at the pair. “I’ve got this.”
The door clicked shut quickly with a yelp as the pillow almost hit its targets. Legend rolled his eyes. Glancing at the captain, he saw that the elder Link had already fallen asleep. Nodding to himself, Legend slid back under the covers, shivering a little bit.
Shivering. Wonderful. He probably a fever.
This sucked.
The next morning proved to be far worse.
Legend groaned as his head pounded. His throat was still sore, he clearly still had a fever, and now he had a headache. He got up and walked around to stretch and continued to rub his forehead in a pitiful attempt to rid himself of the throbbing. When that didn’t work, he’d hoped breakfast would at least help, and though when it came it did alleviate some of the pain, the vestiges still lingered.
“This is the worst,” he grumbled.
Warriors glared at him from the other side of the bed. “At least… you… aren’t nauseous.”
Legend’s head snapped in his direction. “Oh, excuse me? I’m still sick, you ass!”
“Yeah, a headache and an… an achy… throat.” Warriors spat, swallowing hard between words. “H-how come… you get it… and give it to me… and you’re fine?”
“I’m fine?!” Legend repeated, incensed. “I have a fever, thank you very much! Not to mention my head feels like a moblin kicked it, punched it, and then sat on it! Oh, and my throat hurts!”
“Your—your throat—” Warriors couldn’t even finish his sentence as his voice completely died out with a whine. He tried again, his face growing redder by the second, and then he rolled his eyes and turned away, surrendering for the moment.
Legend kicked the nearest object in annoyance and pulled out a book to busy himself, letting out the occasional moan or curse when his head or throat decided to be particularly annoying. The pair didn’t speak until Twilight came with lunch.
“H-how’s… how…?” Warriors tried to squeak out with what was left of his voice. Legend and Twilight both waited to see if he would try again, and when he squeezed his eyes closed instead, the veteran sighed.
“I assume he’s trying to ask if everyone else is okay,” he interpreted.
Twilight smiled. “Everyone’s fine. Traveler’s up and about, says the only lingering effect is a sore throat first thing in the morning, but it’s gone now.”
Warriors smiled and then motioned with his hand for Twilight to leave. “V-Vet’s… got it… thanks…”
Twilight looked apprehensively between the pair, and then gave a small nod and left. Legend raised an eyebrow at the captain. “What do you mean I’ve got it?”
“T-thanks for… last night… s-sorry…” Warriors swallowed thickly, wincing, and then grabbed some tea. He turned slightly green after a few sips and sat up straighter, edging towards the waste bin.
Legend sighed heavily. “Maybe talk less, Captain.”
Warriors sat at the edge of the bed, waiting with palpable anxiety and misery. Legend watched him for a while and then hissed as his own headache throbbed again. “Ugh, I hate this.”
Warriors’ stomach finally gave out, and he lost the entirety of his lunch. Legend felt his own stomach churn at the sound of it, and he covered his ears. When he saw the captain was finished, he walked over and offered him his tea. “You know, you could try to vomit quietly before it makes me puke.”
Warriors glared at him while snatching the cup. “Very f-funny.”
“Hey, look, you said a full sentence this time.”
Warriors slammed the empty cup onto the nightstand and curled back under the covers with a huff.
By evening, Legend was ready to lose his mind. His throat was itching at this point, his headache was still nagging behind his eyes, and his fever was just present enough to make him too hot and too cold all at once. Warriors had been sleeping most of the day and was able to hold down broth brought to him a little after lunch, so he at least seemed like he wasn’t quite as ill.
Legend settled for trying to nap, bored out of his mind from being stuck in the same room all day, and found himself kicking off covers before putting them back on just a moment later.
“Could you not do that…?” Warriors asked after the veteran removed and added another blanket for the fourth time.
“Well, I can’t help that I’m feeling terrible!” Legend snapped.
Warriors slowly, painfully, methodically turned in bed to throw a withering stare. “You feel terrible?”
“Yes! I do!” Legend hissed, crossing his arms. “So you feel like shit, so what, I do too! Besides, your voice sounds better and you haven’t gotten sick since lunch, you’re probably on the mend! I’m just getting worse!”
With that, he flung himself into his pillow and faced the opposite wall, fuming.
“Unbelievable…” the captain muttered.
“You know,” Legend said as he rolled over to face Warriors. “For the record, I want you to know, from the depth of my heart…”
Warriors, who had been glaring at him moments ago, relaxed, raising an eyebrow in bemusement.
“…That you are the biggest baby I have ever met!” Legend finished, shoving the captain right off the bed.
Warriors yelped as he hit the wooden floor, and then he clawed at the blankets in an attempt to help himself sit up. Instead, it ripped the little protection Legend had from his feverish shivering, and the veteran yelled in protest as the blanket fell on the floor.
“Why you—I’m the childish one?!” the captain shouted hoarsely as he finally peeked his head over the mattress. “You’ve been nothing but insufferable since you got ill!”
“I’ve been insufferable?! Oh, that’s rich coming from you—”
Outside the room, Sky hovered by the door, a tray with two bowls of stew in hand. Twilight put a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
“Best give it a minute,” the rancher said with an exasperated expression as obscenities were hoarsely squeaked back and forth in the room.
Sky grimaced as Legend shouted something particularly unpleasant, thankful that their throats were too inflamed for their voices to really carry across the entire inn. “You’re probably right.”
Twilight sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I don’t know if the Old Man wanted them dead, but it certainly seems like his intent for making them room together.”
Eventually, the younger knight chortled softly. “Maybe he knew they were the only ones who could tolerate each other in this state.”
Twilight had to giggle at that. “Probably. But still… I’d give them a minute.”
Hyrule paused as he walked by, and then he smiled brightly. “Oh, they must be feeling better if they’re arguing like that.”
Twilight’s giggles burst into outright laughter. “You know what, I think you’re right, Traveler.”
Thankfully, that was, in fact, the case. Within the next two days everyone was well enough for travel, and the group readied themselves outside of the inn, eager to hit the road once more.
Warriors approached Legend with a serious look on his face. The veteran watched him tiredly. Both were fairly sick of each other after having to room together for so long.
“Need something? Because I’m all done babysitting,” Legend grumbled once the captain stopped in front of him.
“You know,” Warriors said as he crossed his arms. “For the record, I want you to know, from the depth of my heart…”
Legend tensed, recognizing the remark, waiting for something bad to happen, already feeling his ire rise.
Warriors reached a hand out and put it on Legend’s head, soft and gentle. His face relaxed, and he gave him a small, sincere smile. “That I’m grateful you tried to take care of me even though you were ill as well. I’m sorry I couldn’t help you out as much.”
The fire went out of him, and Legend immediately felt an embarrassed blush scald his cheeks. He looked down, a smile ghosting his lips, muttering, “It was nothing.”
Warriors’ thumb traced along his scalp and then his hand moved slightly, fingers curling around his hat.
“But you’re also an ass,” Warriors said, and Legend could see the smirk on his face just from his tone.
And then the captain proceeded to pull Legend’s hat entirely over the veteran’s face as the teenager stammered and fumbled in rage.

Every year, right around the holidays, Ellie gets sick with whatever is running rampant through the school. And every year, you absolutely dread that time. It could be just the stereotypical, run of the mill fever, but it could also be the flu, a stomach bug, strep throat, pneumonia, pink eye… the worst was right before you moved out of Utah and she ended up with croup and in the hospital overnight. You’re pretty sure you’ll never be able to get the images or sounds from that experience out of your head. Seeing your little girl down for the count is so hard for you, and it doesn’t get any easier as she gets older- she’s still the same little love bug that you remember fussing over when her temperature ran a bit too high for your liking and she would fall asleep at a moment’s notice on your chest.
This year, she gets sick without fail, although you hate to admit that neither you nor your girlfriend had picked up on it when you brought her with you to school today. Her cheeks were a bit rosy this morning as you walked into Abbott, yes- but this December has been particularly cold so far and she had insisted on running around in her t-shirt and shorts this morning despite the fact that the living room was a crisp 65 degrees this morning when you woke up. And then on top of that, you were running a bit late and didn’t get your usual parking spot close to the front of the school.
Your little girl had been adamant that she stay attached to Melissa’s hip while the three of you sat in the staff lounge before everyone else comes in, which is not an uncommon occurrence. It’s warm and peaceful until Janine comes in with cookies for her students, and inevitably one for your daughter. Ellie begs you to let her have it, and you chuckle before relenting. It turns out that was the last think she needs because she’s running circles around the shorter second grade teacher within five minutes. Thankfully though, the time comes where the child high on sugar is no longer you’re problem- she’s now her teachers problem. The two of you walk her down to her first grade classroom before the rest of the kiddos trickle in.
“Be a good girl today, little miss,” you crouch down and open your arms.
Ellie’s arms are around your neck and squeezing you tight. “I always am, Momma.”
“I know, but I’m just reminding you,” you chuckle as you kiss her forehead. It’s a bit warm, but nothing that is too alarming. You release her, and it’s your girlfriend’s turn.
“Love you, kiddo,” Melissa embraces your daughter.
“I love you too,” the seven year old sighs as she rests her head on the second grade teacher’s shoulder for a few seconds. And then she’s bouncing into her classroom and greeting her teacher with the gusto that only a little girl who had a cookie at seven in the morning could have. You and the redhead chuckle as you watch before you loop an arm around your girlfriend and walk down to your little corner of the hallway.
“Did she feel a little warm to you?” Melissa asks you quietly.
You shrug. “A little, but she was also running circles around Janine not five minutes ago.”
“I guess,” she says softly. “I just know you said she always gets sick right before the holidays, and with everything going around…”
“God,” you groan. “I’ve had five kids out at the minimum everyday this week. I’m praying to God Ellie doesn’t get sick for break.”
“Knock on wood,” Melissa sighs as she knocks against her door. “But if she does get sick, we’ll be here for her.”
“Until I get sick with it too because she insists on laying on me,” you quip quietly.
The redhead kisses your temple. “And I’ll be here to take care of you.”
“It’s still insane to me that you haven’t been sick in over ten years.”
“It’s one of the few benefits I get for being in this germ breeding ground for so long,” Melissa chuckles.
Your kiddos come in and start on their morning work, and all is fine and normal until your classroom phone starts to ring. That’s unusual. Nobody ever uses the classroom phones because your crew will just call or text your personal phone, or they’ll just make the trip down to your end of the hallway. Honestly, the only people who really use the classroom phones are… the nurses.
“Hello?” you answer, and you pray to God it’s the nurse calling about the student that you had just sent down to the nurse’s office five minutes ago. But June comes walking back into the classroom right on time to confirm that this phone call isn’t about her.
“Hey.” It’s Ellie’s teacher.
“Hey, what’s up?”
“I just wanted to call and ask if Ellie was feeling okay when you brought her into school today?”
You exhale a heavy breath. “She was running around the apartment this morning singing Frozen and ran circles around Janine in the lounge this morning, so I would say so. Why?”
“Poor thing’s been shivering at her desk for the last twenty minutes while we’ve been doing word work,” your coworker says quietly. “I asked her if she had a sweater with her, but she said she left it with you.”
“Send her down,” you tell the woman.
“Will do,” the first grade teacher nods into the phone. “Thanks.”
Ellie appears in your doorway a few minutes later. Your third graders immediately start cooing over how adorable she is.
“Hey, baby girl,” you smile at her from your place at the front of the room. “Come to get your sweater?”
She nods before coughing a bit. You frown a bit, the lines in your forehead etching their way into your face. You tell your students to work through the next math problem while you attend to your little girl.
As you help her pull on her sweater, you whisper to her, “You feeling okay?” You press your hand against her forehead, and then her cheeks, and then her neck. She does feel warmer than she had earlier this morning.
“Jus’ cold,” Ellie mumbles.
“Okay, baby,” you sigh softly. “Well, you tell your teacher if you aren’t feeling well, and I can always take you home, yeah?”
“I’ll be okay, Momma,” your daughter tells you. “I’m tough like… like Mel.”
You chuckle a bit before kissing her head. “Okay, sweetness. But still, if you aren’t feeling well, that’s okay.”
“M’kay, Momma,” you little girl sighs as she holds her arms out to hug you. “I love you.”
“I love you too, little one,” you whisper as you kiss her still somewhat chubby cheek. “Head on back to class, and I’ll see you at the end of the school day, okay?”
She scampers out of the room, happy to have that extra layer on. Ellie really is going back to her classroom, but as she passes Melissa’s door, she can’t help but stop in the open doorway.
Your girlfriend raises her brows at the sight of your little girl. “Hey, El. What’s going on?”
“I had to get my sweater from Momma, but then I was passing your room and I wanted to say hi,” Ellie smiles bashfully from the door. “Can I come in and give you a hug?”
“One quick one,” the redhead sighs dramatically as she opens her eyes wide. Your daughter knows she isn’t one bit annoyed with the big grin that your girlfriend is wearing. “But then you have to get back to your room.”
“I know,” the first grader says as she runs into the room and into Melissa’s arms. “Quick snuggle, and then back to Miss Smith.”
“Right. Good girl,” Melissa praises your daughter before releasing her from the hug. “I’ll see you at the end of the day, okay?”
Ellie hums her response before stretching on her toes and kissing the second grade teacher’s cheek. “Love you.”
“Love you too, El.”
“I know!” your little girl grins as she skips out of the room and heads back for her own classroom.
By the time lunch rolls around, you still haven’t heard anything from your daughter’s first grade teacher or the nurses, so you assume that Ellie really is just toughing it out until you all get home for the night.
“Hey,” you greet your girlfriend sitting her place with a kiss to the temple. “How’s your day going so far?”
“I had a little visitor today,” Melissa chuckles. “Oh?”
“Ellie came in wanting a hug after she got her sweater from you,” your girlfriend smiles. “She’s lucky she’s cute.”
“Did she feel warm to you?” you ask her the same question she asked you this morning.
“I asked you that this morning,” Melissa rolls her eyes. “But yes, why?”
“Smith called asking if El was feeling well while I was teaching math and told me that she was shivering for the entirety of their word work time.”
“Poor thing’s probably getting sick,” the redhead sighs as she brings a forkful up to her mouth.
You hang your head. “Great.”
“At least it isn’t during break that she’s going to be sick,” Melissa tries to comfort you.
You nod. “I guess, but I hate seeing her like-”
“I want Mommy!” you can hear your little girl before you can see her. You raise a brow at that though- she never calls you ‘Mommy’. You’ve always been ‘Momma’, from the time that she was born. The staff room door whips open, and there is a wailing Ellie with snot running down her face as she clings to her first grade teacher’s hand. “I want Mommy!”
“Y/N, I’m so-” Miss Smith tries to get out.
You shake your head, refusing her apology- you know how your daughter can get when she’s not feeling well, and it’s quite clear to you now that Ellie is under the weather. You rush over to her and crouch down in front of her.
Melissa raises her brow, and she contemplates making her way over. But you’re always so good with your daughter, and you she figures that you have this one handled.
The rest of the Abbott crew makes their way in, sidestepping around you to get to their own spots. But of course, Ava stops in her tracks.
“Why’s your kid so snotty?”
“Ava,” you scold.
The principal shrugs and bypasses you to get to the coffee machine.
“I want Mommy!” Ellie continues to wail.
You open your arms for your sick little girl to fall into. “Momma’s right here, baby. I’m right here.”
“I want Mommy!” the child refuses and goes so far as to stomp her foot in frustration. That action is not something you would usually condone, but you let it slide just this one time. God, is she so sick she’s delirious and doesn’t realize that you’re right in front of her?
“Sweetheart, I’m right here,” you whisper and you reach out a hand to brush away a few of the hairs that are in her face. You pull your sleeve over your hand and wipe the snot away from her face. “Momma’s right here.”
“I want Mommy!” Ellie shrieks again as the tears pour down her face.
You run a hand over your face before pulling her into your arms. You lift her onto your hip and hold her as she cries, offering the rest of the staff an apologetic look for the commotion your daughter is causing.
“Mommy’s here, baby,” you sigh softly. You take your seat back next to your girlfriend as you try to soothe your daughter enough to be able to take her through the halls to gather her things to head home for the day.
Melissa reaches a hand over and starts rubbing circles on Ellie’s back in hopes of helping to calm her down. At her touch, your little girl’s head pops up from its place on your shoulder, and she immediately reaches for the redhead.
Your girlfriend pulls Ellie into her lap and holds her, rocking her gently.
“Mommy,” the little girl whimpers as her cries and wails turn into soft sniffles.
Everyone’s eyes in the room, including your own, go wide. Melissa’s jaw drops, and she looks to you.
“What was that, baby?” you ask softly.
“I telled you and Miss Smith that I wanted Mommy,” Ellie mumbles as your girlfriend’s warm touch and gentle rocking starts to lull her to sleep. She starts to lazily play with the red curls that are within her reach as her eyes flutter shut. She’s snoring softly against Melissa’s shoulder within minutes.
The silence that has washed over the staff lounge at Ellie’s words is finally broken when the redhead asks softly, “Did she- did she call me ‘Mommy’? Am I ‘Mommy’?”
“I think she did,” Barbara smiles from her place.
“Wow,” Melissa whispers as she looks down at the little girl in her lap. “Wow.”
You also whisper your shock and surprise.
Those green eyes that you’ve fallen in love with look into yours seriously. “Are you- how do you feel about that?”
“Honestly?” you ask quietly.
She nods.
You smile softly, a bit sadly. “I wish it didn’t take her being ridiculously sick for her to call you that… but it feels so right.”
The second grade teacher takes one hand off of Ellie’s back to take your own. She squeezes it gently with tears in her eyes.
“Sorry,” she chuckles as she wipes at her eyes. “I didn’t think I would get so emotional over this.”
You chuckle softly, as does Barbara.
“Well,” the kindergarten teacher looks to the two of you expectantly. “Little Ellie needs her Mommy and her Momma to take her home and look after her.”
You glance to your girlfriend, and she nods without hesitation.
“Even if Ava and Mr. J are our subs?” you double check.
“El needs us,” Melissa tells you firmly. “I don’t care who is with our kids as long as we’re with Ellie.”
“I’ll get everything together if you want to stay here with her?” you ask.
She nods. “You know where my sub plans are?”
“Of course I do,” you laugh softly as you stand. “Just give me like fifteen minutes, and then we can head out.”
When you return back to the staff lounge, Melissa is still holding your little girl close to her heart and humming softly while glaring at everyone else, daring them to make noise and wake the Ellie.
“Hey,” you lug your bags, your girlfriend’s bags, and your little girl’s backpack in as quietly as you can. “We’re good to go.”
She stands from her place, still managing to keep Ellie asleep on her. You’re both able to get her in the car and back into the apartment while she naps, and once the little girl is settled on the couch and still asleep, you take Melissa into the kitchen. You wrap your arms around her neck and look her in the eyes.
“I love you,” you whisper as you press your foreheads together.
“I love you too,” she tells you quietly. “And El.”
“You’re so good with her,” you tell Melissa softly. “So good.”
She hums before kissing you gently.
“How do you feel about being ‘Mommy’?” you ask your girlfriend.
Your girlfriend’s eyes well with tears again. “Like I’m on top of the world… that little girl of yours… wow.”
“That little girl of ours,” you correct her. “Ours.”
As if Ellie knows the two of you are talking about her, she whines out from her place on the couch. “Mommy! Momma!”
Motherhood never stops, and the two of you head into the living room to hold your daughter together.

Still Untitled
[jungkook x reader] [ 1k+ fluff]
A/N: Something short and sweet. I initially wrote a lil bit of smut, but it came out a bit perverted and I don't think it fits the character of Jungkook in this fic. I still have no title for this, but I'm so glad to receive such great lovely feedback!
Untitled
-
Before you can talk yourself out of it, your feet are walking towards Jungkook.
A breathy and meek hi leaves your mouth, the sudden greeting has him turning around to face you. Before you can backtrack, your hand extends to offer a carton of banana milk to Jungkook.
You're not sure if you're glad he's being super quiet, but wanting to get this done in one go, the words swiftly fly out of your mouth.
"I'mreallysorryaboutlastnightImistookyouforsomeoneelse," you expel in one shaky breath.
Jungkook looks perplexed, probably unsure what to make of the sudden apology, you assume. You were contemplating if you needed to elaborate, but as soon as Jungkook took the milk from your hands, hesitantly—you observed—your legs were quick to find their way back to your space and hide behind your propped up easel.
Had you stayed a second longer, you would have witnessed Jungkook break out a childish grin and blush. His hold on the carton was so gentle, one would have thought he was holding something far too fragile than a drink.
-
The class had passed quickly, which you were thankful for, for the first time. As soon as the clock hit 5:00, you rushed to bag your stuff—no plans of staying extra hours for today. You're still mortified from yesterday and while you don't think a lousy apology makes up for your misplaced accusation, you also don't have the courage of facing Jungkook.
At least, not now, you reason to yourself. Promising to scrape more courage for next time.
In your haste of leaving, you forgot to unhook the strap of your tote from the chair and as you lug your bag behind you as you speed walk, the chair topples and your things tumble out and scatter to the floor, much like the smithereens of your dignity.
A whispered curt curse is heard from you before you rush to pick up the rolling colored pencils.
"Here," Even with your head downcast and eyes glued to the floor, you know whose tattooed hands are handing your pencils towards you.
"Thanks," you clear your throat and glance at the man you wronged. "I got it," you softly say, a subtle way of shoo-ing him away, once again.
You stood up abruptly after shoving everything inside your bag. You see Jungkook lift the chair upright and thank him. You get a response in the form of a smile.
You made three streps before you heard your name called. With obvious reluctance, you face Jungkook and raise your brow in question. Afraid if you open your mouth, something judgmental comes out. Or maybe just that you choke from the clawing embarrassment.
"Do you wanna get coffee?" Jungkook adjusts his backpack on his shoulder. This time, he's taking Namjoon's advice. Just ask her to go out, even if it's just getting coffee after her class. It's a better way to get to know each other. Pick up lines are lame, his hyung said which earned a loud yelp of disagreement from Seokjin. Still, Jungkook thinks Namjoon made more sense.
Plus, he remembers those times whenever he sees you on campus, you always held a cup of coffee. And today, before class, he noticed you had nothing with you other than milk—which even turned out to be for him. He'd get all giggly later, for now, he has a bigger daunting task.
Throughout the class, Jungkook was internally hyping himself up to ask you for coffee. He almost felt pathetic when he saw you quickly pack your things and rush out, already thinking he'll have to run after you. But lo and behold, the universe bought him time.
"I-It's kinda late for coffee, don't you think?" You covered your uneasiness by clearing your throat and pretending to look at your watch. It was too quick of a glance to read the time, he notices. He knows you're evading him. Panic rushes into Jungkook. While on good days, he prided himself for thinking on his feet—those days helped him win rebuts with Seokjin—this moment would have been the one time where the words he uttered couldn't be more nonsensical and embarrassing, "Well, drinking coffee before bed will keep you awake at night is a myth, anyway." The words trailed off one by one as it reached the end, but you heard him loud and clear.
You were to quick to mask your visible confusion by pursing your lips, as if considering what he just said. But Jungkook knows how stupid he sounded. There was no redemption from this.
But just when Jungkook was ready to wave the white flag, he heard you snort a laugh. He looks up and sees your lips break out in a grin—one you tried to hide with an adorable nose scrunch, but your amusement still shone through with a tight-lipped smile. Then, finally, you look at Jungkook and this moment, he'll forever remember because you're looking at him with adoring eyes.
"Fine, then," you agree, lips still toying an amused smile. "Since you're so desperate for coffee you're making stuff up. But I'm getting a decaf."
Your turn and walk towards the approaching evening, and Jungkook follows suit with a lovesick smile.
-
"Wait... you thought I was Kim Jongkook?!"
You sheepishly smile, your fingers on the table scratches the surface, an anxiety tick. But you also look like someone desperately digging for a hole where you can escape to. You want to be away from this awkward confrontation where you have no excuse, no rebut.
“It really was an honest mistake. I’m sorry for lashing out on you.” Your head hangs with shame as you apologize for the nth time.
Unbeknownst to you, Jungkook noticed and took note of your tick. He really was just teasing you, enjoying your adorable puppy eyes, even more so that it's directed towards him. But perhaps, he had his fun. He smiles and comforts you—saying it’s fine and he understands. Right as you look up at him, your names are called for your ordered coffees.
In the same breath which he decides he wants to always be this close with you, he's also unsure how much he can hold back from wanting to just kiss you. And so, as much as Jungkook didn't want to break away from the moment, he stands from his seat, “I’ll get it. Just… you won’t leave, right?”
You would think he was teasing, making a jab from the couple of times you walked out from him, but seeing his pensive eyes had you retracting your assumption. “I’ll be here,” you smile reassuringly.
-
Your trip for coffee, but as per Jungkook's delusion—your date— lasted longer for hours. Small conversations were shared between the tiny round table that held your cups of drinks. No more hole-scratching on the table and downcast embarrassed eyes.
Jungkook thinks his heart may burst from happiness.
Unfortunately, your phone pings, breaking the bubble that enclosed you and Jungkook, one that temporarily kept you away from the outside noise. “Oh, sorry. That’s my alarm.” Your eyebrows furrow as you glance at your watch. This time, really looking at the time, Jungkook observes.
“I should be somewhere now, actually.” As you quickly gather your things, Jungkook matches your pace—grabbing your littered cups and tissues on the table, picking up the proof of your shared evening.
“This was really nice, Jungkook. I now partly feel bad for judging you too quickly,” you tease as you watch him trash the stacked cups.
“That’s not good enough,” Jungkook crosses his now free arms, biceps bulging that were not missed by your eyes. He sees the trail of your sight and that was just what he needed to be confident enough to ask for another coffee date. One that you agreed to without hesitation.
He grows giddy and excited. Wanting tomorrow—Thursday—to come sooner. He doesn't mind if the day ends quickly now as you part ways. And it isn’t until you round a corner that you both stop turning around to check on the other.

☆Re2r Leon☆
Leon shuffled into the living room, setting down a cup in front of you on the coffee table.
"I made you some tea with honey in it." Despite always having a pitcher of tea in your fridge, you and Leon had a specific tea for when either of you got sick.
"Thank you." You sighed, grateful for the hot drink against your throat as you picked it up and sipped on it. As you set the cup back down, your face contorted, and you clenched your teeth.
"Are you okay?" He asked. "I can go get you some Tylenol."
You smiled up at him, he was so cute worrying about you like this. "I'm okay, my Dayquil is just wearing off."
"Whats going on?" Hesitantly he sat down next to you.
"Jaw is sore for some reason." You mumbled.
Leon got up. "I think you need more medicine." He heard the way you spoke and could just tell that your nose was stuffier than this morning. He quickly walked back into the kitchen and got a pill for you, picking up a tissue box on his way back.
"And you need your throat spray." He whispered to himself as he handed you what he was holding, then he walked off again
Leon heard you groan as you blew your nose into a tissue before you called out to him. "That stuff tastes like the way a tire store smells!"
Leon laughed to himself at your words, walking back to the living room where you sat. "I'm sorry, Angel, but you have to take it."
He set the bottle down on the coffee table and heard you whisper under your breath, "Take it, my ass."
"I'm an adult, I get to say when I don't want that nasty stuff."
"Angel, please..."

☆Re4r Leon☆
"D'You need anything, Sweetheart?" Leon asked, entering the bedroom and sitting next to you at the edge of the bed.
"No, thank you." You whispered, glancing up at him from your phone.
Leon's hand rose to pat your thigh that was under the blanket. "How did you even get sick? He asked, referencing the fact that he didn't even know where you went or who you were with while he was away.
"I visited mom, and apparently, S/N was sick." You sighed.
Leon let a chuckle escape his lips, he knows how much you hate germs and being around sick people. You watched how he got up and walked to the other side of the bed, lifted up the covers and got in with you. "Le, I dont want to get you sick."
Leon chuckled again. "I don't care." He wasn't lying, he didnt care if he got sick from you, as long as he was near you. (If you got him sick, then that would mean you would baby him and take care of him, and that doesn't sound too bad.)
You also took notice of how he shuffled closer to you and placed an arm around your back, making your head lean up against his collar. His other arm reached up for your face, turning it towards him so that he could give you a kiss.
"Nooo, Leon dont-" You tried to escape him but he cut you off with his lips on your own.
Leon broke away, giving you a small smile. "I don't care if you're sick."
"No, it's just that I blew my nose earlier and snot got on my lips."

Maybe something for Harry and Yasmine where she takes care of Harry? Like he gets super sick or something. I feel like she would love the chance to look after him bc he is always so caring towards her
Harry leans on the counter, his eyes heavy but open enough to watch Yasmine pour some medicine into a tablespoon. She brings it over to his mouth, hovering it in the air with another hand under the spoon to catch any drops.
He smiles, leaning in with his mouth open. The medicine goes down his throat smoothly, but he can’t help but pull a grimace. “You know,” Harry says after a cough, “the medicine comes with a measuring cup.”
“My mom always would pour it into a tablespoon. It was the perfect measurement. You’ll just have to take it a little more frequently, but that’s better than waiting six hours. You wouldn’t want me waking you up in the middle of the night right?”
She turns away to the sink to wash the spoon. Harry slinks forward, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, putting his burning cheek against her cold one. He groans appreciatively. “I never mind you waking me up.”
Yasmine’s hands falter briefly before finishing up. She puts the spoon aside and leans back against him. “You’re too warm, Harry. You need to rest.”
“Why are you avoiding saying I’m hot?” he grumbles back playfully against her neck.
Yasmine shivers, running her hands over his strong forearms. “I’m serious, Harry. Come.”
She manages to wrestle out of his hold (despite his state, he’s still got a mean hold), taking his burning hand. She leads him to the living room, shaking him off when he latches himself back on her frame. He lands on the sofa, tilting his head back with a congested sigh. “I’m not tired,” he says, sounding both nasally and childish.
“I’m not telling you to sleep.” She takes a nearby blanket, wrapping him up in it, tucking the ends under his chin. His green eyes watch her movement carefully. “I need you to sweat this out.”
Harry wrinkles his nose. “Can you not talk so sexy to me?”
Yasmine rolls her eyes and sits beside him, grabbing a pillow. She puts it on her thighs and then pats it. “Come.”
Harry doesn’t need to be told twice. He all but flies closer to her, lifting his legs to lay horizontally, resting his head on her leg. Instead of facing away, however, he presses his nose to her stomach and sighs again.
“What hurts?” Yasmine says, running her fingers through his hair. The sweat has made it go slightly greasy, but she doesn’t care.
“My head.”
So Yasmine gently starts rubbing his temples. He hums with relief, closing his eyes.
“I’ve still got to cancel class.”
She says, “I’ll handle that.”
“Mm. My email is open on my laptop. Be nice to them.”
“I am nice,” she scowls.
“Mhm.”
Yasmine continues to rub his head, dipping down to his neck and shoulders to hear that groan of relief. He sneezes once, and then spends the next several minutes shivering.
“When I was younger,” Yasmine says softly, thumbing through his eyelashes, “and I had a terrible fever, my mom would wet some paper towels and put them on my forehead and under my arms. If you continue to get sicker, I’ll have to do that.”
“Mmmm.”
“It always felt really good, but I think that was only effective to bring my body temperature down. I was still sick afterwards.” When her hand rubs his back, he breathes deeply. “Maybe you have strep. Let’s go to the clinic tomorrow.”
Harry opens his eyes tiredly, going against all his big talk from moments ago. “I’m perfectly satisfied with my hot girlfriend nursing me back to life.”
Despite herself, Yasmine smiles, cupping his warm cheek. “I can only do so much, you know?”
He takes her hand, kisses it, and tucks it under his chin for safe keeping. “You do more than enough for me on any given day,” he says hoarsely, turning his head in to cough. “Just seeing your face is so…so–” he coughs and coughs and coughs, “nice.”
“It was real hard to say that huh?” Yasmine laughs quietly, and at the sound of her laugh, Harry looks back up at her.
“My throat hurts so bad.”
She can’t help it, so she says, “My poor big baby.”
“You act as if you’re on your deathbed when you have a cold, Yasmine.”
“I don’t need to be coddled though.”
Harry gives her a meaningful look. “Yasmine, I have to block off my calendar when you get sick. It’s like there’s a tornado in my house. You are so incredibly clingy and annoying, it’s like an alter ego or something.”
Yasmine says, “All right, that’s enough.”
Some quiet moments pass by with Yasmine just caressing Harry’s face. Then he says, “I want an ice cold coke right now.”
“Keep dreaming,” she answers.
“I want those cold spicy noodles you make.”
“Nope.”
“And an ice cube to munch on.”
“Nope.”
“I want to pinch your cheek so hard.”
That startles Yasmine, but she recovers quickly with her signature frown. “I hate when you do that. It hurts.”
“Good.” He smiles slightly.
She goes back to massaging his head. At some point, her legs go numb, but that’s around the time Harry’s breathing evens out, signaling he’s asleep. She lets him stay there, admiring his face and curls as she scratches at his scalp, wishing she could bend down far enough to kiss him.
“I love you,” she murmurs to his sleeping form, giving his curls a gentle tug. He shivers, as if the message has reached him even in his sleep.

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You couldn’t remember the last time you’d gotten sick. Not an exaggeration, you genuinely couldn’t remember. Maya had a stomach bug a few months ago and she had assured you that you would end up getting it, basically promising that you would soon be joining her on the bathroom floor.
Not to brag, but you hadn’t. Instead, you’d managed to take care of the firefighter and Carina, who had succumbed to the same illness only hours after Maya. Your girlfriends were incredibly glad that you hadn’t gotten sick, both because they needed help (though they’d never admit it) and because you were….somewhat of a pain when you got sick.
It didn’t happen often, it practically never happened, but when it did you got hit hard. And when you got hit hard, you got a tad whiny. They both agreed that you had the right to be overdramatic when you got sick it was never a minor cold, it was the flu, pneumonia, food poisoning, strep, and even chickenpox. The three of you were all confused about that last one, but you had been holding onto your girlfriends with everything you had.
The morning you woke up with a stuffy nose and a sore throat you knew that you were in for a week of hell. The alarm blared in your ear, pleading with you to turn it off and get ready for the day. The sound hammered against your skull, pounding nails of fire into your brain. No matter how much you wanted to, you couldn’t make yourself get up. You couldn’t move, your stiff limbs absolutely refused the orders to move.
“Y/n, turn it off,” Maya grumbled, nudging you in the hip with her knee. She was wrapped around Carina with one of her legs draped over your torso. The woman was practically the definition of a bed hog, but you couldn’t help but enjoy it. The way she starfished out across the mattress was so cute (most of the time).
When you didn’t move to quiet the alarm, she sat up, groaning loudly as she smacked the stupid device.
“I do not know why you’re complaining, it’s your alarm, Maya,” Carina said in response, a yawn following immediately after her sentence. The blonde smacked her phone until the blaring stopped and you let out a sigh of relief, curling back up so that you were a small ball.
“Y/n? Are you okay bambina?” The brunette asked, sitting up beside Maya. You sniffled in response, rubbing your knuckles against your runny nose. A harsh cough erupted from your lips, your chest burning and your body convulsing with each expulsion of air.
You leaned over the bed and spit a glob of mucus into the trash can, wondering what was wrong with you this time. The crackling in your lungs and what was probably a middle-grade fever suggested bronchitis. You’d heard Carina talk about medicine enough to diagnose yourself pretty well over the years.
Tears sprang to your eyes and you touched your throat, the light probing of the skin causing more pain somehow. You turned to squish your face into the pillow, trying to seem less babyish than you felt. Every time you got sick your emotions went absolutely haywire and it was humiliating.
One of your girlfriends (probably Maya, she was closer) laid a hand on the nape of your neck and gasped softly. You could practically see the worry on her face even though you were facing away from her.
“Car, she’s burning up.” The blonde murmured, getting a soft curse from Carina.
“She came to see me at the hospital the other day. It was overrun with flu patients.” The Italian replied, looking a little pleased with herself for remembering the expression. You rolled over, your lower lip quivering as you looked into the loving faces of your girlfriends.
Carina leaned across Maya and laid the back of her hand against your forehead, her expression souring. She tucked a few strands of hair behind your ear and rested her palm against your cheek lovingly.
You pulled away to sneeze into your pillow, the loud sound wearing you out even further. You honestly couldn’t remember the last time that you had felt so sick, but you knew that it would probably end in hospitalization if you didn’t cooperate.
You began to cry in earnest, shaking with coughs as your sobs irritated your throat and lungs. Maya, who wasn’t always the most physically affectionate, pulled you into a tight hug, allowing you to tuck your head under her chin, against her chest.
“Okay, babe. You chose the right time to get sick because Car and I both have the day off. Just lay back down and we’ll get everything taken care of. Does that sound good?” She murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head.
You sniffled and nodded into her chest, beginning to feel more comfortable with the idea of being sick. It was almost frightening to think that you would be alone, but knowing that the women you loved would be there to make sure that you didn’t die was nice.
“Did you feel sick yesterday Y/n?” Carina asked, prompting you to think back to the day before. Now that she’d mentioned it, you’d felt sort of heavy yesterday and a bit tired, but you’d chalked it up to a poor night's sleep the day before.
Maya had had a particularly bad nightmare and had woken up screaming. It had just been the two of you so it had fallen to you to take care of her, to calm her down. It had been a long night for the both of you, after she finally fell back to sleep you had remained awake just in case the blonde needed you again.
“Kinda.” You rasped, wrinkling your nose in shock at how your voice sounded. It was the first word that you had spoken during the conversation and you truly hadn’t expected to sound as bad as you did, especially in just one word. It was congested and hoarse and grated against your raw throat.
“Geez, that doesn’t sound great. I’ll go make you some tea, see if we can sort that out a bit.” Maya pecked your forehead before slipping from the bed and padded out of the room on bare feet, seeming to forget about the slippers which she typically wore.
You rubbed your nose against your fist and frowned over at Carina who was scooting closer to you, wearing what you liked to call her ‘doctor face’.
“Carina-”
“Hush. May I feel?” She asked, gesturing toward your throat. God, she was preparing to give you a full exam. You loved her very much, but you hated medical professionals. You coughed into your shirt and forced yourself to sit up, a rush of dizziness flooding through your head as you did so.
“Yeah.” You mumbled, giving a weak shrug. Carina placed her hands at the base of your throat, probing swollen glands with incredibly gentle hands. She moved up to under your eyes, frowning slightly as you winced when she pressed there.
“Your sinuses feel a bit swollen. Did it hurt?” You nodded and leaned forward to lay your head on yer shoulder.
“Oh, cara mia. In a few hours if you do not feel any better we can go to Grey Sloan and get you seen.” She said gently, rubbing your back in a comforting manner. You didn’t want to go to the hospital, but if she was right about a sinus infection you knew that you wouldn’t have much of a choice.
“Alright, I’ve got chamomile tea with lemon and honey and a thermometer,” Maya announced, walking back into the room with not only that but also a bottle of what may be the most vile thing on earth: cough medicine.
“Thank you.” You managed, taking the steaming mug gratefully. You blew on the hot liquid and took a careful sip, a soft smile spreading over your cracked lips. It was the perfect temperature and although you couldn’t taste it, you were sure that it was amazing. It soothed your throat and that’s all that mattered.
“Of course babe, it’s the least I could do. What’s with the face, Carina?” The blonde asked, nodding toward the Italian woman who was gnawing on her lip with worried eyes.
“We are going to end up in the hospital. It’s always the hospital with this one.” She grumbled, squeezing your elbow affectionately. There was no real malice behind her tone, just mild annoyance mixed with concern.
Maya chuckled and sat back on the edge of the bed, scooting you over a bit. She dragged the thermometer across your forehead, resting it on your temple as the three of you waited for the beep.
“We’ll try to avoid that this time, right Y/n/n?” You cracked a smile and took another sip of the tea, settling back into bed. For now, you weren’t going anywhere. “Oh, by the way, I snuck the medicine into the tea so you’re drinking it all.”
The look on your face must have been priceless because both women started to cackle, Carina even going as far as to double over as tears came to her eyes.
“That was uncalled for.” You grumbled, eyeing the drink in a new light. It wasn’t like you could taste the medicine, but knowing that it was in there made you hesitant to drink it. Part of you debated trekking to the kitchen to dump the whole thing out.
“Drink it all and I won’t help Carina make you soup later.” Maya threatened, reminding you of her utter lack of skill in the kitchen. She had given you and Carina food poisoning once over bad lasagna and you had vowed never to eat something she cooked again.
“Fine, I’ll drink. But I want cuddles. Will you give me cuddles?” The brunette on your left wrapped her arms around your waist and kissed your collarbone, pushing her nose against your skin.
“Of course bella. All of the cuddles. We can watch whatever movie you want and I’ll make Pastina with Maya locked in another room.” Carina chuckled, nudging the tea a bit closer to your face. You took a deep sip, almost finished with the mug.
Now that you knew it was in there what was left of your sense of taste was picking up on the medicine. It was no longer the best thing that had happened in days, it was now disgusting.
“You can’t taste for shit, stop complaining. Come on, one more sip and you’re done.” With a slight eye roll (which you regretted, it hurt) you took one big gulp, finishing the rest of the medicated tea.
“You win.” You rasped, shoving the mug back towards Maya, who was wearing an amused expression on her face.
“Thank you, my dear.” She singsonged, taking the mug as she leaned forward to kiss your forehead.
A non-fever-related blush crossed your cheeks and you hummed quietly, curling back up under the blankets. For now, you could relax. Maybe it would get worse, but even if it did, these two had your back. Dating an EMT and a doctor could really come in handy.

Strep throat
----
Jonah was still sleep drunk as he stumbled into their living room, barely looking around as he went for the coffee machine. He didn't feel human until he was almost done with his first mug.
Once he was filling it up a second time, he finally noticed Leo was gone. Jonah frowned, cradling his mug and walking out of the kitchen area to peek at the balcony. No Leo there either.
"Leo?"
No answer, except for JD's soft little steps in the hallway as he had attracted her attention. She rubbed herself against his ankles, meowing, and Jonah crouch down to pet her.
"Did you see Leo?" he asked, then opened a smile when she pressed her face to his instead of answering him in any form. He kissed her between her ears, scratching her under the chin, "okay, I'm gonna take that as a no..."
He filled up her bowl and then went to the bathroom to take a shower, wondering where Leo could be at such an early hour of the morning.
Jonah was busy combing the tangle teaser through his hair to make sure it was all lathered with conditioner, when the bathroom door opened. He rubbed a hand against the foggy glass and raised his eyebrows.
"Where were you?"
Leo shrugged, "gym," he answered quietly, stripping off his sweater and removing his socks, before his hands went to his pants. He finished stripping, entering the shower area.
Jonah let out a huff, "gym at 7 AM on a Sund-" but the rest of his words got swallowed by a kiss. Leo looped an arm around his neck, pulling them both under the hot water spray and Jonah let out a content noise, kissing him back.
"Fine," he sighed, cupping the back of his boyfriend's head and pulling back just enough to breathe, "fine, I guess."
Leo muffled a little giggle against his neck, planting a kiss there, fingers curling on Jonah's hair and pulling him back in. Jonah's hand dropped from his shoulders, down his naked back, then resting on his ass.
The blonde let out a chuckle, which quickly morphed into a cough and Jonah laughed, pulling back and tugging Leo out from under the water that was clearly drowning him.
"Sooo sexy," he teased, thumping gently on Leo's back, only for his boyfriend to let out a whimper and his hands dart up, cupping his throat.
"Urgh... hurts," he gasped and Jonah frowned, his good mood sliding off of him just as the hot water was.
"What's up with your voice?"
Leo didn't answer him, only kept coughing for another two minutes, his whole face turning red. In the meantime, Jon rinsed the conditioner off his hair and shut off the water, grabbing a big fluffy towel and draping it around his boyfriend's shoulders.
"Okay, out-" he forced Leo to move, pushing him to sit down on the closed toilet, "look up, it'll help."
Leo obeyed, looking up at the ceiling and coughing as Jonah fixed his posture and forced his arms up too, clearing his airways. He let out a heavy sigh once air started flowing normally, curling up, "sorry."
"Don't apologize. What's wrong with your voice?" Jonah rolled his eyes, wrapping a towel around his own hips and crouching down in front of him, "open up your mouth."
"Don't go all doctor on me-"
"Wagner, open up," Jonah glared at him, touching his throat. He cringed as he could feel that Leo's nodules were swollen, "I can tell you're sick already, so no point hiding it."
"I wasn't hiding," Leo scoffed, but opened up his mouth. Jonah hit the secondary light in the bathroom, then tilted his boyfriend's face so he could see better and let out a groan.
Leo's throat was red and swollen, dotted with little white points, "great, that's just great," Jonah sighed, pulling back, "that's a sore throat alright."
"Uhm," Leo whined, tugging on his towel, his hair lying limply around his face, "amazing."
"Yep," Jonah stood up straight and helping Leo up, pushing him towards the bedroom. He got dressed quickly, before rushing out of the room and returning with the first aid kit.
"Under your tongue," Jonah instructed, handing Leo the thermometer and the other man looked terribly annoyed as he obeyed.
37.5ºC, Leo stared at the thermometer, trying to remember if that meant a fever or not and coming to the conclusion he needed to buy his own thermometer. Jon took it from him, letting out a sigh, "not that bad. Tylenol and get under the blankets," he said very matter of fact and Leo groaned.
"I wanted to make out," he whined, causing Jon's frown to clear up in a soft smile.
"I'm sorry you're horny, but we're not doing anything while you're sick."
"Because you hate me," Leo whined and Jonah rolled his eyes at the theatrics.
"Yeah, sure," he smoothed the blonde's hair back, before focusing on finding the tylenol in the first aid kit, "take these."
Leo obeyed, pouting and rolling on his side, curling up under the blankets, "I'm bored, this sucks."
"I bet," Jonah shrugged, squeezing his arm, "get some rest."
Leo glared at him, his blue eyes dazed with fever, but didn't say anything. After nearly fifteen minutes of him huffing and puffing, getting interrupted by some horrible coughs, while Jon absently minded petted his hair, finally Leo seemed to fall in some uneasy sleep.
Jonah let out a sigh himself, leaning in to press a kiss to his overly warm forehead and getting up from the side of the bed.
With Leo asleep, Jon decided to catch up on the reading he never had the time to. He sprawled on the living room couch and a few moments later, JD let out an offended meow over being abandoned in the bedroom and jumped on the couch, curling up on his lap.
Jonah was sucked in by the book, so he didn't feel the hours passing. He only broke out of his trance, when his stomach growled loudly enough to spook JD and she pressed her pawls to his belly, starting to knead it.
Jon grinned, turning JD around and scratching her tummy, "I'm not a kitten, don't go kneading on my sweater you fur ball," he teased, "it's cashmere."
She meowed again, jumping from his lap and starting to speed across the living room, being hit with the zoomies. Jonah rolled his eyes fondly at her, getting up to fix himself some lunch.
While he waited for the frozen meal to heat up, he decided to check on Leo... And found an empty bed.
Jonah frowned, hunger forgotten, walking further into the room, "Leo?" he called, checking the opposite side of the bed in case his boyfriend was fallen on the ground.
Jon expected to find him in the bathroom, but he wasn't there either. He wasn't anywhere in the apartment.
"LEO?" Jonah called loudly, searching for his phone. It rang and rang and went straight to voicemail.
"For fuck's sake," Jonah groaned, walking to the front door and noticing Leo's car key were missing from the bowl. He simply couldn't believe the man had snuck out without him noticing.
However, as he got down to the parking lot and saw Leo's spot empty, Jonah was forced to deal with the fact this was a reality. He was going to strangle his boyfriend.
"Hello?" Lucas sounded all breathless and happy as he picked up the phone, which was a welcome change that Jon would have appreciated more if he wasn't going out of his mind with worry.
"Is he there?"
"Who? Leo?"
"Of course it's Leo!" Jonah snapped, walking to his own car, "he is, isn't he?"
"Sorry, Jon," Luke chuckled, "I'm not even home, Bell and I are about two hours out of town for some geeky cosplay thing-"
"It's not cosplay!" Bella yelled in the background and Jonah let out a groan.
"Nevermind, I gotta go."
"Wait, Jo-"
He hung up before Luke could try and snoop, getting in the car and slowly driving out of the garage. Jon kept his eyes open for Leo's car plate, scanning the streets.
It didn't help that a thin snow had started to fall.
"This fucking guy," he whispered darkly, hitting the steering wheel when driving back to the building, stomach squeezing with worry. Jonah was equal parts furious and concerned out of his mind.
He was sitting there, trying to come up with something, when his phone rang. Jonah picked it up without even looking at the screen, seething.
"Leo, when I get my hands-"
"Whoa!" Vince's voice interrupted him, a chuckle present in it, "that's a nasty tone to use with your boyfriend, man."
"Oh shut up," Jonah groaned, leaning forward and resting his forehead to the steering wheel, "why are you calling?"
"I got your boy on my couch," Vince said lightly and Jonah's shoulders dropped with relief, only for his brows to furrow.
"In Doveport!?" he exclaimed, "that's four- HOw-"
"No! Nononono, Wendy's couch. Remember you guys were supposed to come over for dinner?"
Jonah did not, in fact, remember that until that very moment. Still, it was only lunch time, there were hours before they were supposed to meet up.
"Yeah?"
"I think the kid's scrambled brain thought it was time already. He's got a raging fever," Vince sighed and Jonah's heart squeezed in worry. He started the car back up, driving out of the building once again.
"How is he?"
"Coughing up a lung every other ten minutes," Vince sounded worried, "really warm."
"I'm going over, I'll be right there... Thank you."
"No problem, dude," he could almost hear Vince shrugging.
True to what Vince had said, Leo didn't look so well. He was curled up on the couch, half sitting-half lying down, and there was a mixing bowl next to him. He was waxy pale, with sweat glistening on his forehead.
"Leo," Jonah sighed, barging in the room and completely missing on Vince, who was sitting on the coffee table and staring worriedly at the blonde, "what the fuck was going through your mind?"
"I was bored," Leo rasped, pathetically, curling up even more, "I don't feel well."
"Yeah, no shit?" Jon rolled his eyes, looking around the room and only then noticing Vince. It was almost funny that the first time he laid eyes on Vince in three weeks had to be like this.
The man raised his fingers in a seepish hand wave, "He's almost hitting 102," he said, gesturing to the termomether in his hand, "I don't know what to do. I was gonna call Wen-"
"Dooon't," Leo groaned, his head lolling and Jonah let out a scoff, sitting on the arm of the couch and pushing his sweaty hair away from his forehead.
"Where is she, anyway?"
"Yoga class," Vince shrugged, "Leo was lucky I was even here, I was supposed to have tagged along."
"Bloody hell," Jonah whispered at the frightening mental image of a super feverish Leo just lying in the cold hallway, "okay, help me here, baby. We're gonna cool you off-"
"Shower?" Vince guessed, springing up, while Leo shook his head vehemently.
"No- nosh-sh-" Before he could finish that sentence, he was hit with a coughing fit. Horrible, lung aching coughs, that caused him to whimper, hand darting to his throat as if he could help anything.
His pale face turned red and his coughs wet, then a burp slipped in the middle of one. A retch.
"Shit-" Jonah held him by the shoulder, to stop Leo from folding in half, but he was too distraught at the moment for any rational action beyond that.
"Here," Vince grabbed the mixing bowl, pushing it before Leo just in time for him cough up some bright yellow bile and a lot of water.
Leo let out a pained whimper, panting over the bowl, almost like he was about to cry and Jonah turned his face away from the bowl, but kept the other man pressed to his side, an arm around his shoulders.
"You're okay, baby, just take a breath through your mouth-"
"It hurts," he whined, rubbing his chest, "I don't think..." he let out another little burp and lunged forward, bringing up more vomit, this time out of real nausea, not just from the incessant coughing.
Leo groaned loudly, not bothering to straighten up, a line of spit hanging from his bottom lip and tears down his cheeks, "I don't feel good."
Most of the puke was just cloudy water and Leo had almost nothing in his belly, so it really didn't smell, but that didn't stop Jonah from bringing up a fist to his mouth to muffle a queasy burp, squeezing his eyes shut as he could feel his belly contracting with sympathy nausea.
"You done?" Vince asked and Jonah felt Leo jerk as he nodded weakly, then the mixing bowl was taken away and the blonde fully collapsed against Jonah, dirty face be damned.
He pressed his face to his boyfriend's chest, groaning, "Jon, do something..."
Jon's heart squeezed and the annoyance at his boyfriend running off melted away, shelved for another moment, as he turned so he could better hug Leo and rubbed his back in circles.
"We're going to bring that fever down and then get some meds in you, okay? You'll be sleeping this off in no time," he promised, helping Leo up from the couch and the other man groaned, slumping against him.
Jonah wrapped an arm around his waist, digging his foot down in order to hold him up, "Vin?"
"I gotcha, I gotcha-" Vince sped back to the living room, holding Leo by the opposite side, "c'mon, kiddo."
"Wendy'sssnever gonna let me live thissdown," Leo slurred, his head hanging, his voice even raspier and Jonah let out a snort, while following Vince's lead towards the only full bathroom.
"As long as you stay for dinner, she won't mind," Vince teased him, causing Jonah to let out a surprised chuckle and Leo to groan even louder, pressing his overly warm forehead to Jon's shoulder.

When did you swallow glass?
Tumblr media
Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin x f!reader
Part of the Spitfire Universe but can be read alone.
AN: Self indulgent fic because I was sick again and it was terrible.
Jake knew something was off the second he stepped into your temporary home.
It was quiet. Too quiet.
You weren’t in the kitchen blaring music while you cooked dinner like normal. You weren’t even asleep on the couch with the tv on.
Your car was in the driveway so he knows you have to be home. Have to be.
He looks around in all the downstairs rooms and couldn’t seem to find you. Didn’t even see anything amiss with the house either.
He headed upstairs and walked into the bedroom. He almost walked back out if not for the little bit of hair that was peeking out of the blankets that were piled on top of you. Strange. You’re a freeze baby, always cold so you’re always putting your chilly feet on him in bed, but this is excessive. It’s California and the air conditioning was barely running. Jake’s going to have to turn the thermostat down in a bit or he knows he’s going to sweat to death.
He walked over to you and tried to pull the blankets away from your face but you buried your face further into the blankets with a whine.
“Baby? Can I see your pretty face please?” Jake asked you gently.
Some shuffling came from the blankets but no face peeked out.
“No? I can’t see you?”
More shuffling.
“Pretty please? I missed you all day,” Jake said as he tried to peel the blankets from your head again.
He finally was able to see you and noticed you looked… off. Your eyes a little watery and slightly droopy. Your skin looked a bit clammy. He immediately pressed the back of his hand to your forehead.
“You feel warm. What’s with all the blankets?” He asked softly.
“So cold,” you said as you wiggled your body to further cover as much of yourself as you could under all the blankets.
He nodded and headed to the hallway closet and got the thermometer and with a little encouragement got it under your tongue.
After about 30 seconds the thermometer beeped and it was just as he suspected, a fever.
“Can you sit up for me?” He asked and you shook your head.
He sighed. You hate being sick, not that anyone really likes it but you despise it. You hate laying around and doing nothing. You especially hate having to rely on anyone, even him.
He scooped you up a little and moved you more towards the middle of the bed and sat down on the edge of the bed, “You have a fever. Any other symptoms?”
You nod. He sat for a second and waited for you to continue but you just continued staring at him.
He chuckled, “Do you want me to list some and you can nod or shake your head?”
You nod.
If that was the case then you must have a, “Sore throat?”
You nod.
“Bad?”
You nod.
With the pile of blankets he can assume, “Chills?”
You nod again.
“Headache?”
You nod.
He quickly got out his phone and started typing in the symptoms he has listed off.
“Do you think it’s a cold?”
You shake your head.
“The flu?”
You shake your head again.
“Okay next on the list: strep?”
You nod.
“Ohh baby you poor thing. Why didn’t you text me?” He asked as he set a hand on your forehead and brushed your hair back.
You shrug and just stare up at him pitifully.
“Well, looks like we’re going to the doctors. Get your shoes on,” Jake said as he stood up.
You groan but follow his order and crawled out of bed to put your shoes on. You threw on one of his sweatshirts and Jake couldn’t help but think how adorable you are is in his clothes. There’s just something about seeing his wife in his clothes that he absolutely loves.
He got you out to the car and it didn’t take long until he was pulling into the med center. He checked you in and filled out your form for you while you leaned back in your chair a little and closed your eyes.
When your name was called you got up to follow the nurse but stopped at the door and stared at Jake until he got up to come too.
“Sorry didn’t realize you wanted me there too,” Jake said as he caught up to you.
You nod and follow the nurse into the exam room.
Once inside the nurse takes your vitals. Confirms that Jake was right and you do in fact have a fever.
She starts to ask you about your symptoms and you stare at her and then at Jake for a moment. It hurt to talk. It hurts to do anything involving your throat. You pull out your phone and type on it before passing it to Jake.
He gives you a funny look and then reads out loud, “It feels there’s glass in my throat. I have a headache and I feel tired but mostly it’s the glass pain.”
The nurse laughs and thanks Jake before getting a throat swab out for a rapid throat culture test.
The machine doing the throat culture wasn’t even on for five minutes before it was flashing positive for Strep A.
“That makes sense why you feel like there’s glass in your throat. Hopefully some antibiotics will make it stop. The doctor will be right in to give you the prescription for those and get you on your way,” the nurse says as she’s walking out of the room.
Jake thanks her for you and leans over and kisses your forehead, “My poor baby. You should have texted me. I would have come home sooner to take you to the doctors.”
You shrug and sigh. You didn’t want to bother him at work. To be honest you were just hoping it all went away but after a nap it just felt ever worse.
The doctor soon came in and confirmed the test and you were out the door quickly with Jake and your prescription.
He dropped you off at home before he ran out and got it along with a giant box of popsicles and a blue slushie for you.
The next day you were still a little bit iffy but finally the day after that you were feeling more like yourself.
Jake smiled seeing you out of bed in the morning, “No more glass?”
You shook your head with a smile, “No more glass.”

Chapter 17: The Episode Bedeviling Bodies Part 1
FNAF Cryptid!Sun/Moon x Cryptid Hunter!Y/N (SFW)
The parking lot where you’ve stopped the vehicle is hazy and distant as if you’re visiting it in a dream. A faded neon red sign promises hot pancakes in cursive lettering. The truck stop attached to the small restaurants is lifeless, packed with a few silent semis. You breathe in. You turn slowly and face Moon’s eclipsed expression. You unclamp your fingers and lower your trembling hands into your lap. Minute by minute, your fists become lax.
Word Count: 13,800~ Warnings: Mentions of death, mentions of child harm/death, mentions of child abuse, mentions of heart-eating, and anxiety.
A/N: Wow, boy howdy, it's been a hot minute, huh? I want to apologize for the month-long wait. I had an interesting time finishing my finals while dealing with strep throat, and then a brother's wedding. This episode ended up a touch longer than I anticipated as well. I am, however, very happy to say that I've got everything ready to go for this last stretch! This is a four-part episode, and there's also a little epilogue to wrap it all up. Be warned that these parts are very dense but there's just a lot to get through.
You go to a diner with a demonic cryptid, figure out what was right in front of your face the whole time, ask for a vow, and give chase to an old friend.

Part 1
Part 2
Tumblr media
Anger.
It’s the only emotion Klaus could feel as he stared over the landing to the front door, seeing his brother there with his girlfriend and a duffel bag.
‘Come on brother. Katherine missed you, besides, you think I’m going to trust anyone but you with her when she’s ill? I need you to look her over, I think she might have strep throat.’
He rolled his eyes so hard he nearly saw his brain, Katherine got a sore throat more than a child who puts everything in their mouth and one can only guess why.
‘Alright. Living room.’ He walked down the stairs, grabbing his bag and grabbing his flashlight and a tongue depressor. Katherine plopped herself down onto Klaus’ lap as she always had and he quickly saw that her tonsils were swollen. ‘Swollen tonsils and a fever.’ He noted. ‘Anything else hurting you sweetheart?’ She shook her head, toying with Klaus’ hair comfortably and he thought nothing of it, Elijah having her trained to do everything he said to and he had always ensured she was comfortable with his siblings. Klaus sometimes thought she saw him as a fun uncle who gave her lollipops. ‘I can give you a script for an antibiotic but if this keeps happening the tonsils will have to come out.’ Elijah nodded, sighing and just as he was about to respond he was cut off.
‘Daddy?’ Everyone turned to see Y/n beside the couch staring at Katherine on his lap, tears filling her sweet eyes. ‘What-wha…?’
‘Oh, no! No, no! This is Katherine, I told you about Elijah and Katherine yesterday, remember? I’m checking her throat because it’s sore, that’s all.’ He showed her the small piece of wood before shoving Katherine onto the couch and jumping up to lift his Kitten into his arms, her crying face too much for him to bear. ‘It’s okay Princess, Daddy’s all yours, you know that…don’t you?’ He whispered and she sniffles, nodding her head.
‘Sorry…’ her sniffles were squeezing his heart painfully.
‘No sorries Babygirl, I understand what it looked like. Daddy would never do that to you.’ Y/n wrapped her legs around his waist and held to him tighter.
‘Want you to love me now.’ She mumbled and his eyes widened. Since yesterday morning she had been needy for him but he couldn’t say he minded as she was just as needy for his tongue and cock as she was for his snuggles.
‘Do you want my tongue or my cock, hmm kitten?’ He watched the blush on her face grow but didn’t allow her to hide in his neck. ‘Come now love, you’re not being a very good girl by not telling me what you need, are you?’
He knew that would get her. She’s far more desperate to be good than she is to keep herself from being embarrassed. ‘Cock…’ She mumbled.
‘What was that?’
‘Want Daddy’s Cock!’ She whined loudly from where she was now pressed to his jugular. Klaus could see his brother staring at the girl in his arms and he could practically see him drooling leaving Klaus with a smirk on his face as he sat in the loveseat and settled Y/n on his knees while he freed his cock from the pajama pants and boxers.
‘Come on Princess, I know you have no panties on under my shirt, show Daddy’s guests what a good girl you are for me.’ He could see how nervous she was but he could also see how turned on she happened to be and he loved it. She lifted her shirt to show him her pussy, leaking against his pants and he could practically taste her sweetness. ‘You can do it.’ Her hand took ahold of his cock and pressed it to her dripping hole before sinking down onto him, encasing him into her slick heat. ‘Oh Princess…’
‘Daddy…so good…’
‘Keep going.’ He told her before looking passed her back to his brother. ‘Is there anything else you needed or are you going now?’ He wondered, ensuring his brother sees how good a girl he had gotten himself, the same brother who said he would never have a girl as obedient as he did since he worked so much.
‘Oh, I think we’re going to stay for a night or two, I’m intrigued by your girl, I’d like to…get to know her more.’ Klaus knew exactly what his brother meant and he wanted to stab him in the eye.
‘No.’ He stated with finality while thrusting up into his girl and dragging a needy moan from her throat making his brothers eyes harden.
‘Niklaus…’ He knew he wasn’t going to win this, not since Elijah had let him fuck Katherine after he took her, they had made a deal a long time ago before Klaus could have imagined Y/n and he owed his brother a “turn”. He held up one finger behind her back and his brother smirked, clearly happy to have won before Y/n whined desperately letting him know she was close as she tightened on his cock.
‘Tell Daddy what you want Babygirl? Tell me!’
‘Want Daddy to fill me up! Want Daddy’s babies! Please Daddy?! Please?!’ She cried out loud, too high on her own pleasure to care about anyone else right now and he was living for it.
‘Fuck Princess! Daddy’s gonna plug you up and keep you full forever! Gonna get my baby growing in this belly by tomorrow. Fuck!’ He cursed, cumming and pressing her down onto him as far as she could go as she clamped down on him herself.
She snuggled into his neck right away, exhausted from only sleeping a few hours through the night.
‘Such a good girl for me, aren’t you?’ She nodded into his neck frantically. ‘Daddy’s good girl is tired, isn’t she?’ She hesitated before shaking her head slowly making his fingers dig into her flesh. ‘Don’t you dare try and lie to me, I can see it-‘
‘Yes Daddy. I’m sleepy.’ She admitted and he smiled, tilting her head and pecking her lips and lifting her into his arms. ‘My daddy?’ She asked and he just smiled.
‘Of course Babygirl, I’m all yours, no one else’s. Now let’s get you something to help you sleep with no bad dreams, hmm?’ He laid her in his bed and fished out a white pill to hand to her which she took, immediately trusting him and making him feel a bit bad for what he’s about to do.
They cuddled like that in his bed with her resting on his shoulder until she was truly out cold and snuggled into his side. He pulled her shirt off and laid her onto the covers carefully before kissing her lips and leaving the room and going down to get his brother.
‘She’s asleep, out cold. Don’t hurt her, I don’t want any marks, and if you finish inside of her I will cut your heads off, both of them starting with your cock head.’ He tilted his head, confused.
‘Why am I hiding this? I want her to know-‘
‘I don’t treat my girl like you do Kat, if you want this she never knows, that’s the deal. If you want to argue I’ll stop treating Kat and you’ll have to take her to a real doctor, the kind that asks questions about scars and kidnapping victims.’ Elijah glared before shrugging angrily and moving to the stairs.
Klaus didn’t want to watch his brother fuck his girl but he couldn’t leave them alone either, ending up on the couch in the room and hating himself for indulging in Katherine when Elijah had first taken her. If he hadn’t he wouldn’t have to share his precious Princess with anyone ever again. He had to remind himself more than once that he couldn’t actually kill his brother as every noise he made was like nails on a chalkboard to Klaus. He wanted to ask himself how Elijah allowed other men to fuck Kat without a second thought but he knew that wasn’t accurate, it was only ever him and maybe Kol, and it was because it helped Elijah have total control over her, letting him know his girl would do anything to make him happy. Klaus thought he would have wanted the same thing but while he wanted total control over her, she gave it to him willingly.
By the time Elijah was done Klaus was very close to having to hide his body and his big brother seemed to know not to push anymore, thanking him for the checkup before getting the fuck out of his way. He would check in in a few weeks and they would be fine again, of that they were both sure.
Klaus cleaned Y/n up before dressing her in fresh pajamas and holding her to him, sleeping beside her once again before she woke up, hungry.
‘So I was thinking that I should maybe look for a job today? Do you get a newspaper or-‘
‘Why would you want to do that?’ He asked, not wanting her out of his sight, especially not while she carry’s his child which he’s sure she will very soon.
‘I can’t just live off of you, and I need to go-‘
‘You need to go upstairs and relax, you need to spend the rest of your life happy and healthy and all mine. I don’t want to share you.’ He wrapped his arms around her waist, holding onto her with his chin on her shoulder. ‘You’re mine. Especially with my baby in here.’ He rested his hand on her belly and she giggled.
‘I’m not pregnant.’
‘We don’t know that yet. And with how often we seem to be trying you will be soon. Stop trying to leave me, I’m not your ex, I want to take care of you, not control you.’ Thank God for Klaus she doesn’t seem to know the difference.
‘In that case I wish I still had my phone, an app could have told me when I’m ovulating.’ She joked but he instantly got excited.
‘Get your cute little ass up to my bed, I’ll be there in a minute.’ He smacked her ass and she squealed, running toward the stairs. He quickly cleaned up before going to his office and opening her phones period tracking app to see the dates she’s ovulating. As he did he realized they were right in the middle of the 5-6 day window and he turned off her phone, hightailing it back up the stairs to his room to find his girl laying back on the pillows. He closed the door behind him, locking eyes with hers and smiling as she blushed, lifting the shirt that covered her to reveal her pussy to his eyes. ‘So perfect. How is it that you have such a perfect little cunt?’
‘Daddy…please?’
‘Please what? Tell Daddy what you want.’ He warned, lifting his shirt off and spreading her legs.
‘Babies…want Daddy’s babies! Please? Please Daddy?‘
‘Is that it? You want Daddy to fill you up?’ He lined his cock up with her hole and thrust into her roughly. ‘You want Daddy to fill your pussy up with my cum?’
‘Yes Daddy! Want you to fill my hole! I’m so empty Daddy, never felt so full with you-‘
‘Oh Babygirl. You haven’t felt full yet, Daddy’s gonna fill you up until you’re leaking out around my cock.’ He thrust down into her hard and he wasn’t set on making her cum like he was before, all he needed right now was to pump her full of his cum until there was no room left and so that’s what he did. ‘Gonna fill your belly up Princess!’ She whined as he pinned her, thrusting into her before cumming and making sure not to spill a drop before beginning to move again.
‘Daddy.’ She whimpered, pulling him down to kiss her before he began biting at her neck feeling her tighten around him but ignoring it as he needed something else right now.
‘Daddy’s here. Gonna plug you up Princess, Daddy’s gonna shove a plug in this pussy and keep you full of me. Just let Daddy use you!’ She whined, crying out as he thrust harder. Her eyes were rolling back in her head and he loved the drool that was leaking from the side of her mouth.
‘Babies?’
‘That’s right Princess. Daddy’s gonna give you babies, gonna fill you up with them.’
‘Yes! Please fill me up Daddy!’
‘Don’t worry Princess, Daddy’s gonna give you his babies. You’re gonna hold them right in here for me like a good girl!’ His hand rested on her stomach as he bit into her neck again.
Klaus filled her pussy up 9 times that night. When he needed a break he plugged her pussy up before he went right back to fucking his cum into her until there was no chance in hell she wasn’t having his baby. Y/n wasn’t bothered for a second that he was so focused on filing her, it actually seemed to turn her on even more.
Either way Klaus is 100% sure she is pregnant, and if by some miracle she’s not, he has 2 more days to get her that way. It’s going to be a fun few days, and his girl was never getting away from him now.

Pairing: aether x reader
Summary: you have strep and aether is here to help, but you need a distraction from the pain.
Warnings: pussy eating, eh hickies, nothing really bad but there is a small hint of piss but it's not allot
Author note: this is my Christmas gift to and from me, and also to my friend eli
“I made your favorite,” Aether said softly as he opened the door with his foot to your bedroom.
“Oh..” you whine as you spot the trey in his hands, while sitting up in the bed you don’t let the blanket leave any skin exposed.
“Oh, I got more blankets and brought them in here earlier but you were finally asleep.” He chuckled as he set the tray beside you, “Gonna have to use your arms.”
You whine and slowly take them out of the warm cacoon. A shiver runs through your body as you get chill bumps.
“So has it gotten better?” He asks as he unwraps the civil-wear.
“No,” you say in a whisper, throat too scratchy to talk.
Aether hums, and he watches as you dip the spoon in the bowl swirling it with warm soothing liquid before taking it to your mouth. The way it slides down earns a moan.
Aether looks at your too Half above the blanket nest, you weren’t wearing clothes so your breasts popped out above the cotton sheets like a frame.
Aether watches your expression as he lays the backside of his hand on your chest, then slides it down to start groping it. “I think you still have a fever, very hot.” He said sadly before brushing over the nipple.
You whimpered as he touched, but it felt good nonetheless as chill bumps covered you again.
Aether sat a bit closer to you as he moved the trey to straddle your hips as both hands massaged each breast. He pushed some of his quintessential magic into you so you would ease from the pain-bearing sickness.
You stiffen but melt into his touch, your hands slide on top of his as you feel over his veins. His fingers rub deeply into the flesh of your breast as he squeezes the nipples until it turns purple. He starts to grab harder as he looks into your eyes.
You squirm as his magic starts traveling down to your cunt, making the already hot organ drip with arousal as the folds slide against each other. Your clit buried in flesh starts to poke out as your clenching hole squelches as you move.
“Aether…” you whimper, almost unheard.
The ghoul nods, he rubs his horns against your head before crawling under the blanket and gently licking up your vagina's hot slit before he pulled apart your folds like book pages. He breathed heavily against your core that clenched around nothing.
Your clit poked out of its safety and throbbed. Aether rubbed the point of his tongue against the small hole of your urethra. He prodded at it until your clit brushed against the top of his nose, earning a loud moan from you above
Aether took a deep breath before taking your clit into his mouth, swirling around the hood with his tongue before unraveling it and sucking on the bare little bud.
He continued sucking until your squirming legs squeezed together on both sides of his head. He took it as a sign that you wanted more.
You cried out as he slid two fingers into your tight vagina. Aether worked your clit and hole as his other hand gently massaged your urethra with the pad of his thumb as little beads of urine dripped out from her holding off an orgasm. He brought his lip down to collect it
She squeezed around his fingers before squirting, sliding down his throat just like the hot soup previously.
He quickly escaped the sheets for a breath of air as he realized he was being suffocated by plush thighs and lips.
“Think you need a little distraction, little bunny?” He said deeply as he pulled down the zipper of his jeans and pulled out his aching erection that leaked with cum.
You bunch up the blankets around your ears and nose as you nod with knitted brows, and watery eyes pleading as she spreads her legs.
Aether chuckled as he let go of his cock to take off the rest of his clothes, it sprung back up with a glistening glow of cum coating his girth as it leaked from his tip.
The ghoul got back to his spot under the ocean of fabrics as he poked his head out at the top to kiss her collarbone before sliding into her vagina.
You whimper as his thrust opens you up more, his cock pushing against your cervix lightly as your inner walls rub against his penis as he pulls out and moves quickly back in.
You whine as he starts to ram into your heated cunt at a quick speed, rough pubic hair rubbing against your overstimulated clit.
He slams back into you as he bites down on your chest between your breasts, a purple mark beginning to form as he sucks harshly. Over and over again he did that across your breasts before his hands wrapped around your waist.
His balls slapped against the bottom of your ass as the base pushed deeper and deeper with every new thrust. You were filled to the brim with his penis, it glided across all of your pleasure spots and weak ones. Your urethra throbbed as you held back another orgasm. Some liquid flooded aethers cock and your pussy as you orgasmed unintentionally.
The big ghoul doesn’t stop pounding your tight and swollen vagina before licking a long stripe up your cheek. His forked tongue played with your bottom lip before kissing you passionately.
Aether hammers your cunt with 4 large and forceful thrusts as he slowly pounds your vagina full of his sperm. Hot seed coating your walls as it drips down your hole and to your ass.
“Fuck.” He grunts as he gives one final shove before more ropes of orgasm fill you both
You gasp for air as you realize how long you were holding it. You breathe heavily as Aether plops down on your chest, head in the crook of your neck.
“I…I-“ you stutter to find words to say.
“Shhh, shhh little angel, you will feel better soon.” He says as Aether caresses your cheek.
You whine but nod, turning over to cuddle into his chest.
“Filled with medicine now,” Aether smiled wickedly

The Nightmare (Gregory House x Reader)
Tumblr media
Request:
writing-multifandoms
Hi, I just had a pretty intense nightmare. Can I please request House x reader where reader stops sleeping due to nightmares and House notices and helps and eventually they just one day end up passing out from exhaustion and they are asleep on his shoulder? Sorry if that's too long! Thank you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Today, like for the passed week or so was not good. Recently you barely got enough sleep from all the nightmares you've gotten, and it's even worse when your basically needed to the hospital 24/7 waking up early as 5am and staying late at 1am . "Ms. Y/L/N, we got a patient for you in room 231. It's a little girl with a high fever and is growing rashes on her body." One of the nurses said to me making me nod. "Uh… sure, yes… yes… Okay." You said tiredly rubbing your eyes as you walked you way to the room. Before you entered in the room you quickly fixed your hair and forced yourself a present and soft smile ready to show your not at all dying from lack of sleep.
"Good morning, Mr and Ms, Phylis." You said nicely as the two greeted you back. "So… anything?" Ms. Phylis asked worriedly as you checked all the little girl Amy's tests which showed she had a mild fever. "She's all good for now, nothing severe. Once we figure out what she needs, we'll be giving her amoxicillin to help with both her skin and her fever." You explained to the two. "What does that do?" Mr. Phylis asked making her sigh as your brain couldn't remember what they do.
"Uh… It helps kill the bacteria and helps with ear infection, strep throat, pneumonia, skin infections, and more." You said sighing hoping your not mixing up different medication. "All right, thank you doctor." Mr. Phylis said as I nodded and checked Amy's IV and left the room to turn in some papers to House.
Like before, when you stood outside is door you quickly made a soft look and tried your best not to look tired and entered in House's office. "Got some papers for you to sign." You said softly to House who looked at you weirdly. "So are you now a late drinker?" House asked you making you look at him confused. "No… What makes you think that?" You asked him a bit offended by him. "You're eye bags are very dark, your concealer isn't doing it's job." House said making you look away from him to look at yourself in a mirror close by and saw how your eyes bags were indeed showing itself.
"Shit…" You said as basically everyone, every doctor, every nurse, every patient you've seen all basically saw your eyes. "Wow, Ms Y/L/N you said a bad word." House said making you roll your eyes annoyed at his rudeness. "Okay, yes I haven't gotten enough sleep… But I didn't drink… I've just been having a hard time sleeping for the past--" "Few weeks, yeah. I've noticed." House said getting up from his office chair walking towards you.
"How do you know?" You asked while House lifts your face up to face him as he inspects your eyes more. "You're my employee of this team, and I must say, you are very terrible at hiding things." House said to you making me sigh in annoyance. "Look, I'll… I'll try to get more sleep. I just can't." You said so pissed off, but not because of House and stuff, but it was because you barely got any sleep for the past week or so. "Then what is the issue for your lacking of sleep?" House asked you. "It's just hard to sleep recently." You said fighting with your fingers.
"By the look of your posture and your attitude… You can't sleep because of nightmares… Your always anxious… you magically one day can't sleep right… any time something bad or off happens you pinch yourself probably to make sure your not dreaming… So… you got those nightmares… huh little kid." House said making you both shocked and pissed at him. "Look, if your not gonna help, I'll deal with it myself and continue my job." You said walking towards the door to leave his office. "What would you do? To help your nightmares?" House asked but genuinely curious.
"Maybe some sort of pill? Prazosin seems to be my best option." You said thinking about going to the pharmacy to get some. "No, you're not." House said suddenly confusing you. "When did you start telling what I can and can't do in my personal life?" You asked him. "It's been weeks you've been having this, and you are for sure the one person I know who'd get quickly dependent on any pill… making you and addict." House said softly at the end but to you… you just got annoyed. "Look… you have no say in what I do to help myself." You said angrily opening the door and left to continue to work.
-Time Skip-
It soon got late and your basically at the verge of passing out. So you walked over to the washing stalls and started washing your face to wake yourself up as you're going to be staying at the hospital longer then usual. As you stared at yourself at the mirror your pager rang making you look and saw House as paged you making you sigh in annoyance not wanting to talk to house.
"What?" You asked entering his office. "Whoa, you look way worse then earlier today." House said making her roll your eyes. "What is it you need?" You asked him. "You're going to rest here." House said using his cain and pointed at his couch. "I can't sleep, I have patients and paper work to do." You said but felt a hit of exhaustion making everything blurry and you soon started feeling your body move left and right. "I think you should sleep. Can't have you pass out on your patients." House said getting up from his seat and quickly helped you down on his couch as he sat down next to you. "I'm fine…" You said weakly but you and him knew you're tired. "Just rest." House said to you as you closed your eyes and let your boy finally relax. Soon enough you slowly felt your head resting on House's shoulder which would freak you out but at this point you didn't give a shit and got that sleep you needed.
As you slept on House's shoulder, he just sat there a bit awkwardly but also quite fine with you there. Recently House himself even noticed how much kinder he is towards you and how he'd let you get away with things that would usually piss him off. And sleeping on his shoulder would be that… But he just continued looking at you and didn't move not wanting to wake you up, looking at you in a loving way as he too slowly closed his eyes to rest.

As soon as your eyes opened you felt it. The burning throat, feeling cold but hot at the same time, a headache. You knew it was strep that, something you caught quite often since you were a child. Quickly you got dressed and made your way to the nearest pharmacy to get some medicine along with some throat lozenges, tea, and some ice cream to help soothe your sore throat. When you finally got back to your apartment you were surprised to find your boyfriend Taehyung laying on the couch watching tv.
“Hey Y/N, I was wondering where you went to.”, he said while getting off the couching walking towards you. Quickly you put your hands up to stop him, “No Tae, you better stay away from me. I have strep throat and I don’t want you to catch it. It’s probably best if you go home.” “Why didn’t you say something? I could’ve stopped and got you something on my way here.”, he asked. “It’s okay. I’m all set but you really should go. You can come over in a few days when I’m not contagious any more.”, you said sadly because you really didn’t want him to leave. “Alright Y/N, I really hope you feel better. Let me know if you need anything.”, he said before blowing you a kiss.
The trip to the pharmacy really took a lot out of you so you quickly took some medicine and then got under your blanket to try and sleep this off. About two hours later you woke up after hearing a loud crash coming from somewhere in your apartment. “Great, this is the worst time to get robbed.”, you thought to yourself as you tiptoed down the hallway. Thankfully you weren’t being robbed but what you saw still made your heart jump, but in a good way. Taehyung standing over the stove stirring a pot while reading something on his phone. “Babe what are you doing here?”, you asked. He jumped a little before setting his phone down and that’s when you saw the recipe he was reading. “I’m making you soup. I’m sorry it’s probably not that great. I tried following the recipe the best I could. My mom and Jin both recommended it for a sore throat.”, he said while grabbing a bowl out of the cabinet.
“Here, drink some water. You need to stay hydrated. I added some lemon and honey. It’s supposed to be good for your throat.”, he said while placing the cup in front of you. Happily you sipped on the warm liquid, “Tae I told you not to be here. You could get sick.” Gently he placed the bowl of hot soup in front of you, “I know but I’m willing to take that risk. Plus I spent yesterday with you so I probably already have it anyways.”
“I’m sorry. I really hope you don’t get sick.”, you said feeling terrible. He smiled, “Don’t be sorry Y/N. I went to the store and got you some more stuff.” You watched him walk over to the entry way and come back with a bag. “The medicine you bought didn’t have a fever reducer so I got you some of this medicine that does. I also saw you bought ice cream but didn’t get chocolate syrup and everyone knows that is essential so I got some. I also got you this. It’s the most important tool to feel better.”, he smiled. You laughed and reached out to grab the stuffed teddy bear he was holding, “Thank you Tae.”
After you finished your water and soup he took you into the bathroom and turned on the shower. He handed you two tablets, “Put these on the floor of the shower. The hot water will dissolve them and they’ll mix with the steam. Take deep breaths while you’re in there as they’re supposed to be good for your throat and also help relax you.” You nodded and slowly stepped in the hot shower following his instructions. The shower helped you more than you thought and you were now laying comfortably in bed with Taehyung rubbing your back.
“Thank you Tae. You really didn’t have to do all this for me.”, you whispered. “It’s no problem Y/N. I just want you to get better. I hate knowing you don’t feel well.”, he said before placing a kiss on the top of your head. “I just really hope you don’t get sick. I would feel absolutely awful.”, you said snuggling a little deeper. “We’ll deal with that later if it comes to it. Just get some sleep Y/N. I love you.” “I love you too.”
It didn’t take long for you to drift off thanks to Taehyung keeping you comfortable. The following morning you felt just the tiniest bit better but it was better than not at all. You felt Taehyung start to stir but you froze when you heard him start to cough. When he said good morning you could hear how scratchy his voice sounded. You internally kicked yourself for not forcing him to leave yesterday. Slowly you looked up and were greeted with big brown eyes and shy smile, “Guess it’s a good thing I made so much soup yesterday huh.” Playfully you rolled your eyes before throwing on your robe, “Yes it is Tae. I’ll go heat some up for breakfast.” Taehyung nodded, “Then ice cream for lunch?” “Anything you want babe. Get some rest. I’ll come get you when the soup is done.”, you laughed before placing a kiss on his cheek.
