It truly was. IMO Garfield was a disaster and Holland's is annoying. "Mr. Stark! Mr. Stark! Mr. Stark!" Maguire's Spidey felt the most real and his casting when taking into account who Peter Parker actually is was totally spot on. Also Raimi's films helped kick off the entire MCU before it was ever a thing so they were doing something right.
