Thinking about Hades hitting up Nico by sending him ghosts, so chances are Nico would with his friends when suddenly he turns to the side with a surprised “Dad?”. The table shuts up bc Holy shit Hades’s here?? But he isn’t. Just a random ghost. And because ppl cant see ghosts as Nico does, all they see would be Nico staring at the air, listening intently until he nods slightly and excuses himself for family business.

Bonus point if Persephone adopts it too and now sometimes, Nico would look down at the small dandelion by his feet that wasn’t there just three seconds ago and proceed to talk to it like “Persephone? What’s up?”

Underworld siblings bonding about how beautiful death is would be such a nice topic to explore within the context of Thanzag and Anubico and having the goddess of blessed death as their sister(Macaria)

Every other person sees death as an ugly thing, the figure who takes their loved ones away, someone who took some people too early from this world, something that took chances away from people. Same thing with funerals, where people come to say goodbye for the last time to their loved ones, to never see and hear them laugh and enjoy life. But not Nico and Zagreus,

Zagreus thinks death is beautiful, majestic, gorgeous even, despite him dying a couple hundred times, he was head over heels in love with death, and he definitely agrees with people who say death is similar with love, because both looked really handsome and dateable, especially death.

Nico on the other hand was heavily interested in funeral rites and embalming, he finds the idea to preserve a loved one through ways and rituals that vary across the globe and pantheons to be interesting, which led to his encounter with the egyptian god of funeral rites and embalming.

And the pair of brothers, along with their sister, Melinoë, adored their older sister, Macaria, especially Nico, who lived the longest as partly mortal. Macaria showed Nico that even though death can seem cruel, but it can also be blessed and peaceful, such as death of old age, and even heroic deaths since she also helps guide those who died a heroic death to elysium or the Isles of the Blessed

Like Percy took (1) look at Nico, asked if anyone was gonna take care of him (as a guardian/parent), didn't wait for an answer and did it himself.

Hazel literally asked for family and Percy was all, "I'm right here!" Like peak protectiveness. He's so nurturing and caring, omfg. That cheek kiss scene was so cute.

And Hades owes it all to Percy. Like, he was so shitty to Nico before? Neglecting him and manipulating him, until Percy told Nico to convince Hades to help in tlo. Then when Hades was victorious and acknowledged by his siblings/the other Olympians he did a 180 with his perception of Nico (from how I understood it) and actually started being a father again. And if not for that, then he wouldn't have Hazel back (as his daughter/family bond) either.

Percy Jackson Headcanon

At some point Nico becomes a minor god.  Because his shtick was already “randomly show up, be overwhelmingly powerful, know more than everyone else but only occasionally share that information, disappear again” this changes virtually nothing about his behavior and he never bothers to tell anyone (maybe Hazel and/or Will.  Maybe).

It’s only years later when he’s bailing out some random demigod, gets mildly stabbed, and bleeds gold instead of red that the truth comes out.
