ENJOY!
They acted like he was a danger to society. All of them. You never really understood why, but that's the way it simply was at Samson University. Even the principle, grandson of the university's founder, mr. Samson didn't like to get close to him.
No one did.
The boy was in your class this year and somehow he fascinated you. He wore big baggy clothes all the time, usually they were black but once in a while he wore this big Red hoodie. It seemed to be his favourite. You wondered what he looked like in lighter clothes.
He bit on the end of his pen, a nervous habit of his. He nearly chewed off a dozen pens in only two months time. His legs bounced often and he twisted his rings a lot. Anxiety? Maybe.
A lot of people gossiped about him. Technically, 95% of the university gossiped about him. The other 5% were too wasted to even think. They said he was dangerous, cursed even. That he'd have magical powers that he used for evil causes; black magic.
"Have you heard about the unconcious girls found near the dumpsters? Must've been that creep."
Another story came to life in the back of the classroom. You slightly turned your head to see Elsie and Lando gossiping, again. They were your friends but you didn't always agree with them.
Mr. Patterson stood in front of the class and shushed them, even though he snickered a little bit. You swore you could see Wooyoung shrink with every snarky comment coming at him.
You couldn't believe someone so beautiful could ever cause any harm. He has deep brown eyes that seemingly hold the universe. His jaw is sharp, probably after weight-loss. He was chubbier when he arrived here. His nose is quite prominent, you liked it.
"Do you think he ever killed someone?" Elsie giggled from behind you. You glared at her, sighing deeply. "Elsie, you cannot just go around and say stuff like that, you know nothing about him."
"Oh, look who's a saint now. Why do you care, Y/N? It's just a little creep. I heard he-"
"Elsie, I don't wanna hear it," you sighed as you turned back. You locked eyes with Wooyoung for a split second. His eyes are so kind.
He looked away again, as mr. Patterson dismissed the class. You walked out first, pissed off at Elsie and everyone else who was being unfair to him. Were you blind? Stupid? Why couldn't you see it?
You saw him walking back to campus later that day. He looked like he was shaking. Maybe he was crying. Your feet froze, even when you wanted to be open-minded, you remembered the things Elsie said earlier. Maybe he was dangerous.
"Does anyone know the answer to question 4B?" Mrs. Milburn asked, looking into the class. Only Wooyoung raised his hand. "No one? Has no one studied at all?" She asked, disappointed and ignoring Wooyoung.
Wooyoung sighed and kept his hand up. "Mrs. Milburn. I am right here," he spoke. She didn't reply. He got up from his seat and stood in front of her, but mrs. Milburn backed away.
The whole class let out an 'ooh', maybe a few distant giggles, but you felt your heart sting. But it was so hard to step up and do something when your opinion was different from the others'.
"No one else has hair like that, you freak, you're probably gonna go back to the dumpsters again and hurt a few more students," Vince yelled from the back of the class. You saw something crack in Wooyoung's eyes this time.
The rest of that week he didn't show up in class.
It seemed like you were the only sane one, the only one who wondered where he went, why he had the blonde in his hair, like no one else. If he says he didn't dye it, would it be magic?
The week after that he showed up again, eyebags bigger than usual. He had the red hoodie on and you smiled softly. His gaze met yours from across the room but he froze when he saw your smile. You felt confused as he quickly made his way to the bathroom. Did you do something wrong?
Wooyoung got in trouble again the next day, the principal called him out on his hair, saying he shouldn't go around wearing that ridiculous color. Wooyoung tried to explain he couldn't help it, he was born with it and he couldn't dye it due to his sensitive scalp and his allergies.
You felt for him as all the people laughed at him, didn't understand him. Was he speaking the truth? Who was he? Was he the scary boy who had secret powers, or just an ordinary boy with a little genetic fault?
On Friday there was a party at someone's house; Cameron's parents were out so he invited the entire year to come party. You were there as Elsie had dragged you along. You kind of hoped Wooyoung would be there, just maybe.
And apparently he was, as chaos arose as he was acknowledged. "Get out you freak, you don't belong here!" People yelled. Girls screamed, running to their boyfriends. Wooyoung froze again. His eyes no longer sad, but just empty.
Wooyoung ran away, and as the others continued partying you followed him. He walked into the huge backyard and stood in front of the pool. You frowned as you got closer. Suddenly he jumped in there and you waited for him to come to the surface again.
Seconds passed and Wooyoung didn't resurface, and when you saw Wooyoung resisting gravity you didn't waste any more time and you jumped in, taking a hold of his waist and pulling him up with ease. The boy was light like air.
He panted and coughed as you helped him on the edge. "What are you doing? What do you want from me?!" He yelled. "I'm not gonna let you drown yourself, Wooyoung!"
"I-I wasn't, I was just... I wanted to escap- Did you say my name?" "Yes... Why?" "Nobody says my name," he whispered. "I'm sorry I didn't stand up for you when..."
"But you did... You're the only one who came even close to standing up for me... Or is this all an act? Are you trying to tempt me into hurting you like I supposedly did to the other girls?" He scoffed.
"No, no, Wooyoung. Please, hey let me take you home, get you some clean, dry clothes. Can I call anyone? Your parents? Siblings?"
"I only have my mom, I don't live with her," he explained. You sat next to him and laid your hand on his shoulder. "Can we still call her?" You asked gently.
"She's dying, Y/N, she suffers from Dementia and she's way too fucking young. Anyway, it doesn't matter. She doesn't recognize me and I scare her. So technically I am alone."
You felt your heart ache for him. "Come with me," you spoke. You stood up and reached out your hand. Wooyoung hesitated but took your hand in his. Before getting in your car you stole towels from Cameron's bathroom which you put on the carseats.
After a few minutes you arrived at your aunt's house. "I have the key to my aunt's house, she's on holiday and I'm babysitting her cats Mac and Whopper."
"Aren't those burgers?" Wooyoung asked as you got into the house. "Yep, she has an unhealthy obsession with them."
You ran upstairs to get some clothes from your uncle and you gave them to Wooyoung. He got dressed in the bathroom as you changed into your aunt's clothes in her bedroom.
Downstairs you made him tea and brought him food and a blanket. "Why are you doing this?" He asked, on the verge of tears. "Because I think you get unneccesary hate, it's nonsense. I know I haven't exactly done nothing so I'm not a saint but... I believe you."
"But you'll lose your friends if you're nice to me. Everyone will think you're crazy." "Then I'll be crazy," you smiled softly. "I can't let you do that, Y/N, I'm not that important. I'm just a freak."
You slightly brushed your fingers through his hair, stroking the blondes. They felt regular. He was just like everybody else. You smiled, but Wooyoung was crying as you touched his hair.
You took him in your arms and let him cry, cry out heavily, and you cried with him. "Nobody wants me, I could easily die, no one would miss me, no one. It's just hair! Why do they think I'm a freak? All those crimes happening... that isn't me!" He protested.
Nodding, you pulled him in even closer. "I know, I know, they're not making any sense. But I don't want you to die," you spoke gently. "I'll be there."
You held him as he slowly calmed down. You noticed he hesitated to eat. "Do you have an ED, Wooyoung?" You softly spoke, trying not to trigger him. Wooyoung fell silent, and it was enough to answer your question.
"Do you think you could take one bite?" You suggested, still holding him. "There's no point in it, I'm gonna die anyway." "Someday, when you're old, but not now. You're gonna live. Let's live, Wooyoung," you smiled.
You kept it on the low at first, your contact with Wooyoung. He scared easily and you didn't wanna lose your status at school like that. Yet you hung out with him all the time after classes, learning about each others' stories.
"You know that I've never had sex before because everyone thinks I'm dangerous?" Wooyoung confessed. You smiled gently and brushed your fingers through his hair. "Do you want to change that?" You grinned.
Wooyoung blushed. "I do, but I'm too full of scars, Y/N, no one could love me when I look like this," he sighed, "but I'm just a boy. I get feelings, I get excited, just sometimes."
Gently, you reached for the zipper of his hoodie, slowly bringing it down. "W-Wh-What are you doing?" He protested, covering himself up immediately, but you had already seen it. The boy was skinny and his arms were wounded, partly wrapped up in bandages.
"I'll love you no matter what you look like, Wooyoung," you confessed. You locked eyes and immediately knew. Wooyoung was putty in your hands.
Your lips collided and bodies intertwined as you made out with him. A tear fell down his cheek but he persevered, finally feeling loved, finally feeling embraced, finally feeling understood.
You brought him to your room and you undressed each other and laid naked in your bed. "May I touch you, Wooyoung?" You asked, and he nodded.
Your hand slowly wrapped around the base of his hardened cock. His body tensed when your thumb touched his sensitive slit. "Try to relax, try to let go, sweetheart," you cooed. You slowly pumped his cock up and down and he let out the most beautiful moans. As you sped up his moans grew louder, and you loved how vocal he was.
His cock was beautiful and thick, veins running from the base all the way to the tip. "You're so gorgeous Wooyoung, you're so loveable," you spoke as you moved your hand faster.
Wooyoung's moans got whinier, louder and he squirmed, signalling you that he was close to orgasming. You stopped and brought his hand to your pussy. You guided two of his fingers inside you, breathing heavily.
His fingers were long and skillful, picking up the things you liked right away. "Yes, yes just like that, curl them- Yes! Right there," you moaned, throwing your head back. Wooyoung's fingers sped up and hit your favourite spots repeatedly, making you moan out his name.
"That's so good baby, yes, yes, I fucking love that, keep going, keep going!" You cried out. Wooyoung panted and looked at you in awe as he watched you slowly unravel on his fingers. Just as you're about to cum you stopped him, sinking down on his rigid cock.
You moaned loudly and arched your back as you rode him, his hands sliding from your hips to your thighs. Your moans collided, creating a beautiful melody.
"Wooyoung, Wooyoung," you moaned, chanting his name over and over again. "Y/N, please! Please, I'm gonna cum!" He cried, body shaking ever so slightly, cock twitching inside you.
Before you could say anything he burst, cumming deep inside you and filling you up. You moaned, being send over the edge. You clenched on his cock as you came hard, orgasm taking over your body and mind.
You collapsed on Wooyoung's chest and he held you. You held each other, until the sun set that day.
As soon as you publicly showed your support and attention for Wooyoung, you were an outcast. Everyone thought he either kidnapped you and threathened you or he used his 'black magic' on you.
Now you were bullied as well and Elsie and Lando had completely turned their backs on you. Wooyoung and you were alone in this world.
You sat in a field on a Saturday in June. The sun was slowly turning the sky orange as it dropped lower and lower.
"Why don't we run?" Wooyoung asked you, taking your hand. "Run?" "We could run, we could travel the world, start somewhere new, somewhere we'll be accepted, somewhere we'll be loved," Wooyoung spoke as he caressed your cheek.
You smiled and looked at him. His smile was bigger than ever and he was dressed in white and blue, bringing out his beautiful skintone. He was lighter, enlightened even.
"You want to run with me?" "Let's leave everything behind, run into the unknown," Wooyoung smiled, "I am finally happier, now that I have you. I am not afraid, I do not wanna hurt myself any longer, I won't wear black, I'll be happy, and free!" Wooyoung exclaimed.
You laughed and took his hands. "Where do we go?" "Where the sun leads us, Y/N," Wooyoung smiled. And you knew, you'd be fine with him.
Your special boy. No longer misunderstood.

I wish you would write a fic where...
poly sinclair
or good ol' s/o almost dies
or sinclair almost dies and s/o saves them
feel free to ask for more details, once i start thinking i can come up with quite a lot of stuff
- 🔪
Alright, prepare to suffer. I combined all of these into one angst-filled rollercoaster, but it does end with one big family cuddle, so it's probably okay.
Never Again
Poly!Sinclairs x Hinge!GN!Reader
Wow so much blood and violence, murder, lots of profanity, reader does not die but is seriously injured and loses consciousness, so does a Sinclair, hurt/comfort, ANGST!!
Bo and Vincent had both instructed you to stay in the house, as per usual.  You knew the drill, you kept the doors locked, kept the lights off.  They couldn’t keep you away from the windows no matter how much each one of them pleaded or scolded.  You’d be damned if you didn’t at least try to keep an eye on them.
This group was a pretty standard one.  A mix of two male and three female victims, they had been easily separated.  You stayed upstairs while Lester drove two of the women to the house where they were promptly seized upon by Vincent.  Bo was keeping the others busy down at the station.
“Everything’s going okay?” you ask Lester before he hops back into his truck.
“Yeah, sweet pea, everythin’s fine.”  He smiles at you.  “I’m gonna tell ‘em those girls wanted to head up to the House of Wax so I dropped ‘em off, then Bo’ll bring the rest of ‘em over there and he and Vince will wrap things up.  I’m gonna go post up on the road outta town just in case, you wanna come wait with me?”
“No, I think I’ll stay here.  I want to be close in case I need to help or something.”
“Well, now I don’t know about that.  You can stay here, probably safer that way.  But don’t you go runnin’ out doin’ anything stupid.”
“I won’t.”
He kisses your cheek.  “It’ll be over soon, sweet pea.”
You stand on the porch and watch Lester’s headlights disappear down the hill.  The sun was just barely visible on the horizon.  It would be over soon, just not soon enough for your taste.  Rather than returning inside, you sit on the porch with Jonesy for something like half an hour, trying not to count the minutes, waiting for all three of them to come home.
Gunshots cut through the evening haze.
Your blood turns to ice.  Jonesy’s ears prick and she growls deep in her throat.  You know the sound of Bo’s shotgun.  That wasn’t a shotgun.
You scramble to your feet and throw open the front door, coax the dog inside with you.  Your limbs feel weightless with adrenaline.  The thoughts whipping through your head aren’t conscious, simply a string of decisions.  You take Vincent’s Bowie knife off a peg by the door, hooked it to your belt, and grab Bo’s keys.  He’ll have to forgive you for taking his truck later.
The engine roars to life and you speed down the hill toward the lights of the station and the crack of three more gunshots.
As you screech around the corner onto Main Street, the headlights illuminate a figure standing alone in the middle of the road, a gun in her hand, and two men locked in a desperate struggle fifteen feet away.  Almost of its own volition, your foot slams on the gas pedal, and the victim barely has time to turn around before you plow into her with the truck, sending her flying.
Before the truck has even fully come to a halt, you are out of the cab and rushing towards Bo and the victim he is tussling with.  The shotgun lies on the ground between them and the victim has a second handgun clutched in his right hand, which Bo is valiantly attempting to wrest from him.  You make it three steps before someone seizes your arm.
You whirl to face them, hand on the knife, and recognize Vincent.  “Vincent, what the hell is happening?!”
He doesn’t even bother signing.  The way he hauls you back towards the truck is unmistakable.”
“Vincent, stop – we have to help Bo – I can help – ”
A gun goes off so close to you it rattles your skull, once, twice, three times.  You watch, stunned, as a hole appears in Vincent’s thigh and then, as he sinks to the ground still gripping your arms, another blossoms in his shoulder, and blood spurts from his neck.
You scream, look over your shoulder and see the woman you hit with the truck, still sprawled on the road, wearing an expression of grim satisfaction.  As gently as possible, you lower Vincent all the way down and extricate yourself from his desperate grasp, fumble for the knife, and charge the unlucky bitch who used up her last shot.
You’ve never killed before, but it isn’t hard.  Even in your rage, you waste no effort, going directly for the throat.  She is dead within seconds, but you continue stabbing until her head is nearly disconnected from her shoulders.
“Cindy!” you hear someone cry.  You look up, see that the last remaining victim has managed to squirm away from Bo, whose expression of naked rage is fast draining into horror as he pieces together what is happening.
You start to stagger to your feet, bloodsoaked, vibrating with anger.  You aren’t thinking straight.  You only just register that you have made yourself a target before time stops and several things happen at once.
The last victim takes aim at you.  You begin to drop back into a crouch.  Bo breaks into a dead sprint.  The victim pulls the trigger two times before Bo is on him.  You don’t hear the gun go off.  You feel a sudden scalding fire in your side, a flash in your ribs, then nothing.
For what may be seconds or may be hours, you cannot see.  You cannot feel.  But you can hear Bo roaring profanities and the progressively wetter sound of the last victim’s head being slammed into the pavement again and again.
You do feel something, then – the whisper of fingers spidering across your wrist.
“Vincent,” you think you say.  You clasp his hand.  His fingers are cold.  So are yours.
You become aware again of your vision, of Bo splattered with gore and crouching in front of you.  His eyes flick frantically back and forth between you and his twin.
“No no no no no.”  He touches your cheek, grips Vincent’s arm.  “Goddammit, y/n, what were you…no, Vincent, keep your fucking eyes open.”  He slaps his twin across the face.  “Don’t you fucking do that.”  He lets go of you for a moment, props Vincent up against the truck.  “Stay awake, y’hear me?”
He comes back to you, hands hovering, not sure what to do.  He looks so distraught.  You wave his hands away.  “I’m fine, Bo…I’m…it’s not my blood.”
He looks at you in disbelief.  “No, darlin’…it is.  It is.  Vincent, goddammit!”  He shakes his twin, grabs your hand, tries desperately to keep a hold of two-thirds of his world as it slips steadily away from him.
Your vision starts to fade again.  “Bo….”
“No don’t you fucking do this to me, y/n!”  His voice is hoarse, bordering on shrill.  “Don’t do this to me!”
You reach for his face, want so badly to comfort him, but your arm won’t move, your vision is swimming….
“Jesus fucking Christ, what happened?!”  A new voice cuts through the darkness.
“Lester!” Bo yells.
You are dimly aware of someone hoisting you up off the ground, carrying you through space, setting you down on cold metal.  “Don’t worry, sweet pea, you’re gonna be fine, I promise.”
“…Lester?”
“That’s right, honey, we’re gonna get you fixed up.”
Your head falls back against the side of the truck bed.  The stars look like they’re racing down towards you and you flinch, waiting for the impact.  You hear Lester shouting again.
“Bo, you gotta help me, I can’t lift him by myself!”
Time dilates and contracts in the minutes it takes them to shuffle around the back of the truck and haul Vincent into the bed.  He’s no longer conscious.
“Where are the keys?” Bo asks.
“You’re not fuckin’ drivin’, climb up there with ‘em.”  Lester does not wait for a response, climbing into the cab of Bo’s truck without waiting to see if he listens.
He does, for once, leaping up and pulling the tailgate closed behind him.
The last thing you see before the vehicle lurches forward and you too drop into oblivion is Bo, defeated, sagging to the floor of the truck bed beside his twin.
When you come to, you are in your bed, and you are not alone.  You look to your left and see Vincent asleep on the other pillow, hair fanned out beside his face.  Sandwiched between you is Bo, also sleeping, his head tucked against Vinny’s shoulder, his hand in yours.  The pain doesn’t come until you try to move.  You groan, give up on sitting up.
Bo jolts awake, immediately alert.  “Are you okay, darlin’?”
“I think so….”  You groan.  “I don’t…what happened?”
He touches your neck, your face.  “You scared the holy hell outta me, that’s what.”  You meet his gaze, find a heartwrenching mixture of exhaustion, fear, and love in his baby blue eyes.  “I thought I was gonna lose you.”  His voice breaks.
You shake your head, feel the tears welling up, grab onto him for dear life.  He wraps you in his arms, buries you in his chest, murmurs your name over and over.  The pounding of his heart grounds you, comforts you, and despite how close it came, you cannot imagine an end to your life with these wonderful, fragile men.
“I’m sorry, Bo.”
“Shut up.”
“I’m sorry I scared you.”
“Shut up.  It’s over.  You ain’t ever leavin’ me.”  He presses his lips to your temple, fighting tears.
“You’re right.  You’re right, I’m not.”  You let out a long, shaky breath.  “Is Vincent okay?”
“Yeah.”  Bo’s voice is thick.  “Yeah, he’s gonna be alright.  Les…Les saved him.  Saved you too.”
“Where is he?”
“’M right here.”  Yawning and rubbing his eyes, Lester sits up and stretches, previously slumped in an armchair hauled upstairs from the living room.  “You’re all very welcome.”
“Come here, you.”  With a tired smile, he drags the chair across the floor so he’s close enough for you to reach out and touch him.  He kisses your fingers.  “Where would we be without you, Les?”
“Fucked.”
You laugh and even Bo manages a chuckle.
“You ain’t never leavin’ me either, y/n,” Lester says, and a shadow crosses his visage.  For a moment, you see how afraid he was, how hard he fought for you and for his brothers.
“Never.”  You squeeze his hand.
Vincent stirs, moans.  Bo is instantly attentive, but Vincent sleeps on.  His twin gingerly drapes an arm over his chest, curls up against him, shatters your heart with the expression on his face.
“I have a request,” Lester says.  “With all due respect, can we never do this again?”
“Absolutely,” you reply.
You stroke Bo’s hair, your other hand clasped firmly in Lester’s, and you pass the afternoon this way, connected together, safe and alive.

YOU GET IT
I get so pissed and annoyed with this fandom drawing art of Bo hating Vincent and being cruel as adults! Could I see Bo resentful or cruel at a young age towards his twin? Yeah, of course! But for near 20 years all they have is each other in a damn near toxic co dependent unhealthy way because of their shitty parents
BO WAS BLEEDING EVERYWHERE AND VOMITING IN THE SINK WITH AN ARROW IN HIM AND TWO VICTIMS ESCAPED ON THE RUN AND COULD ESCAPE FOR GOOD FOR ALL THEY KNEW AND VINCENT AS HEAD STRONG AS HIS TWIN WENT LOOKING FOR VICTIMS ALONE WHEN BO NEEDED HIM AS A TEAM
I'd be fucking pissed too!!!
And Bo STILL in that moment felt guilty for calling his brother a freak just to hurt him and tried complimenting and reassuring him.
Trust me, I am not good with forgiving ppl that can't apologize bc I personally suck up my pride and do it if I care but then again Bo goes out of his way to talk to Vince right away when my sister would've called me every name in the book, we would've argued and left without a word
And this man that suffered so much trauma and so much hate at such a young age STILL has a soft spot for his twin and STILL tries in his own fucked up way right away to make amends for snapping at him
I'm sorry, yes, Bo is shitty. He's a rapist, sadist, murderer, toxic, manipulative, controlling.
But I physically cannot see fanart of Bo abusing Vincent cruelly bc idc he would never. Istg ppl just saw Bo be mean to his brother in a shitty situation and since he didn't apologize (He tried in his way) then he must be abusive to Vince too! If anything they both resent each other yet if one dies the other might as well die too
No hate to the author who will be unnamed (I don't remember their name anyways 😅) but there was one fanfic of Bo beating his 'wife' reader because another man said hi to her and he does this regularly then ties her up when they got KIDS and I cannot see it. Not for a guy saying hi that was gonna get killed anyways. Could I see Bo 'taking what's his' to mark reader sexually? Sadly yeah his boundaries with women are non existent but a WIFE? He would have to be insane with jealousy and idc I can't see someone finally loving him and putting him first over his twin for the first time ever being his punching bag. A captive reader that develops stockholm syndrome and disobeys? Yeah probably bc he doesn't 'love' them. But a wife with kids???? Uh uh. That man would seperate his domestic life and violence as much as he could just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own renditions and dark material but I feel the fandom makes Bo way more hateful than he is
Carly was a woman he instantly looked at as prey and was a victim he knew was dying so if he had to have fun cutting off a finger or SA her in the basement then in his warped mind why not? That imo is ttly different than his brothers or fictional kids or S/o IM JUST SAYING!!
(Sorry for the rambling I have a hard time finding others that see Bo is more than the unreliable narrorator Carly is in the film that is done so subtly and Bo IS a pos that's its easy to overlook)
Also Vincent is shown to be strong and he kills more than Bo does in the movie, he could stand up for himself but he doesn’t, because Bo isn’t abusing him, not to mention him holding Bo’s dead beaten body and cry yelling to the best of his ability, they clearly care about each other.
I feel like people see that one scene and the opening and assume Bo is angry and abusive all the time (also people can write him however they want but I feel like I see a lot of people boiling his character down to just being angry and violent and mean) and he had behavior problems as a kid but just because he did and is mean in one scene doesn’t mean that’s just how he is, people change as they get older, I had anger issues as a kid (I now realize it was probably related to my ADHD I didn’t know I had back then) I acted out when I got mad, I was violent sometimes, now as an adult I don’t act out anymore, I don’t even get as angry, there’s no reason Bo couldn’t have changed or learned to cope as he got older, even with all the shitty toxic shit as a kid, once he was older he could have worked on it himself, we don’t know but like people just assume oh he was an angry kid with behavioral issues and he yelled at Vince as an adult and don’t take in any other context from the scene and decide he’s angry and has anger issues and that’s his entire character.
Also I agree he wouldn’t treat a wife like that, man was not given love as a kid he wouldn’t risk the person who actually loves him, plus we see he clearly cares about Vince, when he tells him ‘Ma would be proud’ he’d be the same way if he fell in love with someone I think, he’d try his best to make up when he did fuck up, he’d show he cares
Is Bo a bad person, yes he very much is, he does horrible things including heavily implied SA, and he has no problem murdering people, but he’s not rotten to the core with no redeeming anything who’s only bad with no good
No one take this as you’re wrong or bad for your interpretation of Bo, if someone wants to write him like that go ahead, you do you, it’s your writing and you should do what you want, I just wish more people looked deeper into Bo’s character and thought more critically instead of just accepting Carly, a victim who only sees a small window of the Sinclair’s life and behavior, as the truth
Actually I think it was one of your posts I saw that made me see Bo this way, you were the one who converted me lol

Some notable moments from the show (an evening with Bob Odenkirk, guest hosted by David Baddiel) on Monday:
Mike was created because Bob couldn’t shoot a fourth ep due to HIMYM conflicting, he commented that it ended up making a lot more sense because “Saul would never move a body”
Said Saul’s only real “human” (Jimmy) moments in BrBa in his opinion were 1. When he tries to encourage Jesse to go talk to Andrea and Brock rather than waiting in the car, he said “there’s no incentive or benefit for Saul, he won’t make any money and it’s a risk for Jesse to be seen” (imo Jimmy more than Saul speaks to Brock and Andrea anyway) and 2. When he’s telling Walt to just quit while he’s ahead, because “Saul doesn’t care, he doesn’t care if this guy dies or if he’s family dies, why should he?”
Said the Saul hair (“combover on top, mullet in the back”) was his idea after reading the script
His agent apparently told him “please do not say no” to breaking bad and his response was “well I’m gonna” and he turned to us and continued “because that’s how I am, I’m difficult”
The first scene he shot was the Walt and Jesse in the desert scene, he said it was during a sandstorm which didn’t pick up on camera but every time they opened their mouths they were full of sand.
The desert scene with Mike took 14 “gruelling” days to shoot, out in the ABQ desert.
They had a snake wrangler on to clear any areas they were filming in (and obtain a snake if one was needed) but during the desert trek they didn’t come across a single snake in the entire 14 days and the wrangler said it was because it was too hot. For the desert snakes.
His heart attack occurred during the Lalo/mcwexler confrontation scene in the final season, and parts of it are from after his recovery months later. It’s been said a lot, but hearing Bob personally say out loud that he was “out” for 15 minutes and that his training for Nobody saved his life (which he explained how and why in detail) was Wild. I lost my dad due to heart complications, I’m really glad he was able to pull through.
David didn’t know about the heart attack, he was taken aback and stated Bob looked “damn good” and we all applauded
He essentially confirmed that Kim likes Jimmy because she’s also insane. He said it in a very roundabout way (“they’re both damaged, weird loners” and “she hides it better but she was more into it than him at times” lmao) but that was the gist.
Credits Giancarlo Esposito as perhaps the best actor he’s ever worked with and spoke about the wine bar scene for a good 5 minutes. The women behind me whispered “Gus is gay” during this.
Said the first time he met David Cross the man turned up to his home holding a basketball (at around 27 years old) asking if Bob wanted to play. He replied that he’d just made a sandwich.
He’s a huge Monty Python nerd and kept speaking about it at lengths during random intervals. Someone in the audience shouted that he was saying “Python” wrong (because he’s, ya know, American and says it with an American accent) and he attempted to say it “properly”. He could say Python, he could not say Monty. He thought Python was spelt Pythun, though.
He then did the same when David said Ree-ah instead of Ray for Rhea’s name lmao
He said “I might be slow but I’m not stupid” and briefly chanted “slow is not stupid!”
Apparently hates parody comedy (doesn’t care enough about popular culture. Relatable)
Didn’t expand on it much (because Baddiel hadn’t finished the series before literally interviewing the main actor) but said one of his favourite scenes is the breakup scene, and that he loved when Saul was thrown in the trash, saying “he deserves it”
Told Vince to “beat the shit out of this guy” (JimmySaul) in bcs
Enjoys shooting in difficult locations or circumstances (man likes to suffer for his art ig lmao)
When asked about the piss drinking scene, stated “I refused to drink my own piss, I’m fed up of the taste, so I had the whole crew mix a little of their piss into the bottle so it was a complete mystery” did not explain what was actually in the piss jugs
His wife was just offstage the whole time which was very sweet
Called the Trumps the worst family in America
Didn’t think we have Marmite in the UK. It’s literally British aksjdhekdjf
David Baddiel doesn’t know about Dr Suess. Not relevant to Bob but wth.
Bob said he’s nothing like Saul/Jimmy many times and the central reason he said so is because “Saul needs everybody to like him, Jimmy just wants the respect and admiration of his brother, and I don’t care, I just wanna make myself happy”
His favourite show is BBCs Royle Family
We could submit questions during interval and he answered a couple, one was “do you eat at Cinnabon” to which he replied “no, I had a heart attack” lmao. Baddiel was surprised Cinnabon was a real place.
We all got a free copy of his book (tho apparently he didn’t know?) with our tickets so that’s cool. Will be reading in the next 5-60 months
He got 3 people up on stage to read him questions he’d written and one woman, Claire, was absolutely amazing and actually successfully matched Bob’s stage presence and energy when reading this (hilarious) script he gave her. The others did great too but Claire is the MVP of the evening
Right near the start he said the word cunt. I was thrilled.

Acting Up
18+, Stone Cold Steve Austin x Shawn Michaels | Bret Hart x Shawn Michaels one shot

Summary:
Steve Austin is getting tired of Shawn Michaels' attitude backstage. --- “It was Bret that broke the Heartbreak Kid's heart. If I'm gonna be honest, I didn't even know you had one.”
Shawn was really fucking annoying. In every way possible that a human being could work Steve’s nerves, Shawn did it. When people pointed out how good of friends they could be, Steve took notice. They did have a ton in common, from being from the same state to drinking habits to taste in women. They really should’ve been the best of friends.
But Shawn decided to Shawn it up backstage. He started throwing his status around making all kinds of crazy demands. His temper was at its peak and everyone suffered because of it. When he wasn’t ranting and raving he was half way to passing out due to his excessive use of pills. He could barely get his words out when he had to speak, his normally animated voice slurred and monotone. It was embarrassing. So no, Steve had very little interest in being friends with Shawn. That ship had sailed. Maybe one day down the line if Shawn got it together they could just drink a beer and watch some college football…
Shawn didn’t really give a fuck if Steve Austin liked him. That wasn’t his problem. All he had to do was go out there in the ring and cut a few good promos with him. If they got along after the fact, that was great. If they didn’t, fuck him. Shawn had enough friends. Friends who really liked him, too. Friends who hung on to his every word and were always willing to party all night with him. Even when his other friends left to go to WCW— well he didn’t want to think about that.
Sure, he still saw Kevin and Scott and Sean around. Whenever WCW had shows nearby they all met up at the closest bar to catch up on life. It just wasn’t the same as it used to be. With the way WCW was on fire, they were so up in the clouds that little ol’ Shawn was not as much of a priority as he used to be. He actually considered jumping ship to WCW too and was strongly encouraged to by them. Then Vince McMahon got in his ear like usual singing sweet words and promising him the world, so he stayed put at WWF. With each passing day Shawn wondered if that was the right choice.
He wasn’t the only one backstage thinking about leaving. Bret Hart had some shocking offers thrown his way by Eric Bischoff, offers that could have had him and his family set for life. McMahon started to counter with his own exorbitant counteroffers, which made Bret feel very wanted. They weren’t as good of a deal as Bischoff’s and it made Bret sit down to think about what he was still getting out of staying with the WWF.
If you would’ve asked him earlier in the year…? With no hesitation or second thoughts, Bret would have said Shawn was the reason he’d stay. Despite the surface level similarities Shawn and Steve had with each other, Shawn and Bret had a lot more in common. Things they would’ve never realized they shared until late nights spent together. The pair of lovers didn’t know how well they got along until they were stuck in hotel rooms with one another. Night after night of forced proximity led them to taking steps further into the physical territory, something that scared Bret shitless. None of it seemed new to Shawn. He guided Bret through some clumsy first sessions that eventually led to the best and most intimate sex he’d ever had in his entire life.
Of course as soon as Bret began to start falling for Shawn, Shawn began to act up. Bret couldn’t understand where the sudden switch-up came from. It’s not like he’d changed on him in any way. He wasn't as touchy as Shawn could be and would occasionally distance himself from him. That was just so any rumors wouldn't get started, not because he didn't care for him. Bret didn’t know how to react when Shawn got unhinged with him. He started claiming that Bret was just using him, that he was only around to use him as a toy. No matter what he said or did to convince Shawn otherwise he just couldn’t break through. So he stopped trying at all. As much as he liked Shawn’s personality and the way he arched his back up for him, all of that just wasn’t worth the drama. After their final explosive last argument the two of them iced each other out and only interacted when forced to.
At this point in his career Shawn didn’t care about being well liked. He didn’t have to be well liked by everyone. He had his crew. McMahon was still surprisingly on his side no matter what problems he caused amongst everyone. His supply of drugs and alcohol was flowing. He’d be fine without boring Bret Hart. There were plenty of men around who wanted Shawn. They would fuck him six ways to Sunday all day and all night. Bret may have been an amazing lay but he wasn’t that good. Shawn could find someone else in a heartbeat.
“Michaels, what the fuck? You’re still back here?” Steve appeared at the doorway of Shawn’s dressing room. He’d been walking around the arena looking for Shawn for what felt like forever. No one thought to tell him he’d still be in his dressing room because he was usually a lot better about getting to gorilla on time.
Shawn took the last few swigs from his bottle of whiskey. His eyes bounded over to Steve, first to look at the pissed off look plastered on his face and then to look down at his oiled chest.
“You dress like shit, Austin.” Burp.
“Man, this ain’t a damn fashion show. It’s wrestling. Get your ass together and let’s go, we’re on soon.”
“I’m together, I don’t need anyone telling me to get it together. Especially not you.” Steve was hot when he was mad. Well, Shawn thought everyone was hot when they were mad. It turned him on to know he could make someone that emotional over him.
Steve was surprised at how alert Shawn still was after having that whole bottle to himself. It only served to make him more angry. It’s not like he was about to pass out or was stumbling over himself. He was barely fucked up! The alcohol only heightened his bad attitude. He just wanted to be defiant. And for what? Just to say he got him upset?
“What is your problem? You’ve been even more of a bastard these last few weeks and you’re starting to make my job a lot harder. What, you’re mad the ring rats ain't chasing after you like they used to?”
Shawn shook his head. The groupies had lost their appeal a long time ago. If anything, he liked playing the groupie now. He liked being the one in awe at someone so much bigger and stronger than him. His cock twitched at the thought of Bret tossing him on many a hotel bed. Unfortunately, Bret truly was the best there was. It pained Shawn to admit how hard he got when he thought of him. He was just so good at knowing when Shawn wanted to be fucked versus when he wanted to be loved . Shawn’s eyes got even glassier thinking about the way Bret got in his ear during some particularly intense nights—
“Michaels!”
Shawn felt reprimanded. Almost like he had to straighten his posture and stand at attention at the way Steve said his name. So bossy.
“Lemme tell you something, Steve. The rats like me just fine. They always will, as long as I keep giving this to them.” Shawn grabbed at his crotch and laughed out loud. Drunk idiot.
“Yeah, right. So it’s not the ladies, huh? Must be someone backstage, then.”
Shawn’s face flushed. The bad thing about being out of his mind so often was that his emotions were harder to conceal. He was sure his erection was already extremely noticeable. Now he was blushing so badly his whole face was red.
“Oh it definitely is.” Steve laughed at him. “I knew it. The boys back there had been sayin’ some things but I didn’t pay them any mind. Now I know it’s true. Aw man, Shawn.”
Shawn’s chair hit the floor with a loud clatter when he got up to get in Steve's face. His breath was huffing out of his nose and his eyebrows scrunched up. He didn’t feel like being the punchline to anyone’s joke tonight.
“So the fuck what if it's true?”
“So the fuck nothing, I don’t give a shit.”
Shawn was deflated at Steve's acceptance. He was itching for a real fight. The pent up anger deep within him had been coming to a head in the last few days. There was no way he would win with Steve one-on-one and he knew it. It was probably for the best that he didn't start something he couldn’t finish.
“Okay. Yeah, it was one of the guys.” Shawn cleared his throat and took a few steps back from Steve.
“One of the guys…”
Steve had to really think on that one. It would be easy enough to believe that Shawn had hooked up with Hunter since they spent so much time together. That was too obvious, plus they were still good friends. Could’ve been Undertaker. Steve wouldn’t have been surprised by that. He opened his mouth to give his final answer when he recalled the way Bret Hart spoke of Shawn one evening while they stood at the catering table.
“If he wasn’t so pretty no one would’ve put up with his shit for this long.”
Realization struck Steve like lightning. Bret had said that comment with no semblance of jealousy in his voice. There was no hate either. What Bret did sound like though was a scorned lover. There was a lot of bitterness present within him. Steve didn’t even think twice about it at the time. It all made sense after a few minutes of thinking.
“It was Bret that broke the Heartbreak Kid's heart. If I'm gonna be honest, I didn't even know you had one.”
The anger started bubbling in Shawn again. He wasn’t even sure if it was at Steve or Bret this time. It came back with a vengeance.
“Actually, it probably didn’t go that way. Knowing you, you probably did something to piss him off and he got tired of you. You broke your own heart.”
Steve’s raspy voice saying such perceptive words was enough to send Shawn over the edge. He was back in Steve’s face again and ready to get in that fight, ass whooping be damned.
“Can’t even imagine the two of you together. I guess it does make some sense. Two crybabies in love with each other. I’m sure you were the one cryin’ more though. Even looks like you’re about to right now.”
“What is all this? You picking on me for a reason?”
“Yeah, because of your little love affair with Hart you’ve been even more of an asshole recently. You’re fucking everything up for me. If you don’t calm down soon I’ll make you calm down.”
“You can’t make me do shit.”
Shawn could not believe how fast Steve could move. He was thrown over the arm of the dressing room’s couch, face pushed into the cushion in a flash. One of Steve's hands pressed into his lower back while the other reached forward to push Shawn’s pants down, then his own. Shawn’s body squirmed with anticipation and the primal urge to run away.
“Bret said you were pretty. I’d never really thought about it before, but he was right. You are pretty. From all that hair on your head to the tattoo on your ass.”
Shawn was unable to handle anything Steve just said, from Bret calling him pretty to Steve agreeing with him. Shawn didn’t even think that Steve swung the other way and now here he was bending him over. In his self-absorbed mind he chalked it up to being so sexy that even straight guys wanted him.
“What the hell is going on?!”
“Seems like you can’t function if you aren’t getting fucked right. If I gotta be the one to do it since Bret doesn’t want you any more, so be it. You’ll be on your best behavior by the time I’m done with you.”
Shawn pushed himself against Steve and wasn’t disappointed by what he felt. Steve's dick rested heavily between Shawn’s ass, a pretty picture Steve would be sure to remember. He’d had a few fumblings in his past with men but never anything with someone as attractive as Shawn. Along with his pretty face, Steve had to admit that Shawn’s personality got him going in that kind of hatefuck way. Even when he was being a terror, something about the way he strutted around like he was the Prince of the WWF made Steve want to put him in his place. Nothing would be better than beating Shawn in the ring and making him submit in bed.
Shawn had a lot to say to Steve, he was going to give him a real piece of his mind as soon as we able to push him off—
The words died away immediately at the sensation of Steve pushing into him. It hurt at the start, the only thing lubing him up being the spit from Steve’s mouth that he’d rubbed on to himself. He was fucking huge. While he’d gotten used to Bret’s length over the months, Steve was a lot more girth. Shawn’s eyes crossed as Steve pushed himself deeper. The arch in his back threatened to fall.
“You better keep yourself up the whole time.” Steve ordered him. He had no plans of being gentle with him. He wanted to see how much Shawn could take. It turned out that it was a lot more than he expected.
Shawn writhed below with every hard thrust of Steve inside of him. Heat bloomed across his skin and creeped up past his neck. It was a gorgeous sight to see him all fidgety and needy. Punched out moans were followed out long, dragging ones when Steve slowed down and went arched himself deeper. Shawn liked to whimper, he noticed. It was cute.
Shawn's long hair flung itself back when he raised his head to readjust his position. It was hard to keep himself steady on his elbows with the way Steve kept pounding him into the cushion. Eventually he gave up and let himself fall into it. The fight was drained out of his body, he was ready to get what he deserved. Steve’s fingertips dug deep into the tanned flesh on Shawn’s hips, his pace already stuttering. He was just so tight and… eager for him. Like he was everything he had been waiting for.
Shawn managed to get his arm under himself to stroke his aching cock. As soon as he touched it he was ready to come, he was so sensitive. With the movements of Shawn reaching down to touch himself he managed to push himself even farther back on Steve. The breaths he exhaled were shaky as he matched the pattern of Steve’s thrusts to his own strokes. It only took seconds for Shawn to spurt out long ropes of his come onto the couch below him. His legs almost gave out when he finally released. It didn’t help that Steve had fucked him right through it. Shawn mumbled incoherently to himself while Steve kept going. On top of the alcohol making him stupid, Steve’s dick was also contributing to his blank state of mind.
Watching Shawn come was a sight to behold. His whole body contracted when it happened. His babbling after it was so weirdly attractive that Steve knew he was close too. All of a sudden Shawn was pushed off of Steve and onto his knees on the floor.
Steve was a sweaty mess. Anyone looking at him after the fact might have though he just got done with an iron man match.  It dripped down from his head and into his eyes. He quickly wiped it away with his free hand while stroking himself with his other. There was no way he was going to miss the sight of this.
Shawn blinked at him with big, wet eyes. God, he really was a crybaby. The smile on his face could only be described as delirious. Steve groaned when he came, hot spurts covering Shawn's lips and cheeks and nose. The most impatient man in the world would have waited an eternity if that’s how long it took for Steve to finish stroking every last drop from himself. He got a lot of enjoyment at being able to stare up at Steve's body.
“Alright,” It was taking a minute for Steve to catch his breath. “You gonna stop being a dick now?”
Shawn nodded in a daze. He so badly wanted to walk out of the room with Steve’s come still painted all over his face and find Bret just to show him that someone still wanted him. Doing that would guarantee that he’d never get to feel Steve inside of him again, so he restrained himself.
“Good.” Steve walked across the room to find a box of tissues to clean himself up with, then threw it in Shawn’s direction. He was impressed he still had the wherewithal to catch it even after getting his world rocked. “Stick around after the show, we’re gonna get a beer.”
“Okay.” Shawn could barely stand, let alone walk. He was happy he didn’t have to actually wrestle tonight. Steve waited for him at the doorway while he made his way over slowly. He was completely blissed out and easygoing and it made Steve laugh on the inside. Who knew it’d be that easy?
The two men talked casually with each other as they walked out of Shawn’s dressing room and down past Bret. He was standing in the hall building up courage to work things out with Shawn when he saw them exit the room. Instead of the usual look of contempt Steve had for Shawn, he instead looked relatively happy. Shawn himself was the most relaxed he’d seen him in a while, not since one of the last times they’d had sex…
Oh, shit.
Bret felt his heart drop into his stomach as soon as Shawn smiled his way. The skin by his former lover’s glittering blue eyes crinkled when he laughed at whatever story Steve was telling him. The Heartbreak Kid had struck again and with Stone Cold Steve Austin of all people. No, this wasn't over yet. Not if Bret had anything to do with it.

Least favourite elvis characters
Good question anon.
Since I haven't fully analyzed all of his movies yet, I'm just gonna the characters from favorite to least favorite for movies I did review.
1: Jodie Tatum
Tumblr media
I'm sure some of you are as shocked as I am that this almost universally panned film gave me the best Elvis character so far. Jodie when you really look at his character is the perfect main character to have in an Elvis movie. As much as I typically despise the cocky, womanizing jock type character, Jodie managed to have all of those character traits and not be annoying. Just by looking at his scenes alone you can write a completely new movie where he's the main character and you would have a significantly better movie. Everything you need to write a movie about a young man learning to become humble and set aside his differences with someone he doesn't stand for the purpose of achieving a common goal of uniting two worlds through marriage is right there. Saying that a side character genuinely deserves their own movie more than the actual main character is the ultimate compliment.
2: Deke Rivers
Tumblr media
It was so hard to pick between my number 1 and number 2. As much as I love Deke as a character, unless you want to write about him before the events of the movie or expand on what happened during the movie, Deke doesn't have that much potential for a story. His character arc is complete and he went through the most change out of any Elvis character. There just isn't really that much left to his story where you go "I want to see a sequel and see what happens next."
3: Scott Heyward
Tumblr media
This is the best character writing out of all of the cheap to make era Elvis films so far. Scott has actual depth by not wanting to use nepotism to get everything he wants in life. Scott acknowledges that he's in fact privileged but doesn't use that as an excuse to lord over the lower classes. As much as he admittedly doesn't understand having to make a dollar stretch and wanting to have a comfortable lifestyle, he doesn't shame Dianne for doing what she does. The only thing keeping him from being #1 is that it seems out of character for him to want to be with Dianne on a romantic level since she's actively doing the one thing he wanted to get away from. Unless we have a character arc explaining what changed, it just doesn't make sense.
4: Walter Gulick
Tumblr media
I admit that Walter doesn't have much of a character arc. But that doesn't matter to me, because the appeal of his character is his relationships with others. He's in the cynical world of boxing, but still has a wholesome outlook on life. Watching him interact with the done with life New Yorkers is incredible. Even though he knows they look at him strangely, he still has a high level of respect for not only the men but also women. It's honestly incredible that Walter isn't once tempted to be with anyone but Rose. Just a wholesome character with a good moral code and shows that not every character needs to have a significant flaw to be interesting.
5: Vince Everett
Tumblr media
As much as I find him unlikeable, I think his character has a lot of fanfic potential. Seeing this otherwise everyday man's fall from grace become one of the hottest artists in America only to suffer a life-threatening injury is such a wild ride. You can easily write introspective stories on why he became a jerk, how he felt when he though he lost everything, and see if his relationship with Peggy will work out.
6: Rusty Wells
Tumblr media
Definitely a dark horse of an Elvis character. I wasn't expecting to like him as much as I did. In the first half I thought he was just going to be somewhat of a Tulsa. But once he got in a bar fight with drunken frat boys just to keep Valerie out of trouble, he immediately became way more interesting. The face he makes when one of his band mates ask him about Valerie is so telling. He genuinely cares about Valerie's well-being. And watching the process of seeing this flirtatious man genuinely fall in love and want to stay in a committed relationship is a pretty good character arc for a cheap to make beach film.
7: Clint Reno
Tumblr media
I would've been perfectly fine with his character but the last 20 minutes of the movie or so has him go completely off the rails. Him losing his mind about Cathy potentially cheating on him can work as long as it's written well. Given his perceived age there's plenty of ways you can write this concept that shows a different side of Clint without making him completely switch to the "villains" side.
8: Charlie Rogers
Tumblr media
Had all the potential of being a great character yet the writers completely dog on him. As much as he has flaws, I genuinely couldn't care because everyone else in his movie were much, much worse. Him wanting to go back to the carnival makes no sense because of how terrible he was treated. I think if done well he can be an interesting character.
9: Glenn Tyler
Tumblr media
As much as I like the backstory and think he has the potential of being an amazing character, I don't think his story was handled well. Some of the decisions that he made don't feel like they fit with his character. He doesn't really love a lot of room to write introspective stories since we already have a full idea of why he's the way he is.
10: Mike Edwards
Tumblr media
I really like his dynamic with Sue-Lin. It adds a level of depth that makes an otherwise generic nice guy interesting. Even though he doesn't have a character arc, the conflict that he's put in is so engaging. This conflict doesn't end with him learning a lesson, but it allows him to show a different skillset that otherwise wouldn't exist. I still believe that his romance plot with Nurse Warren wasn't necessary but at least it still shows how not everyone who goes through an unexpected conflict end up having a complete transformation.
11: Tulsa McLean
Tumblr media
Tulsa is just a generic main character. He does have some comedic moments where he's sassy with his superior officer and "Tiger". Him being of Native American descent and having a lot of experience with women doesn't really add anything to his character. At least he does have a specific goal and the romance he has with Lili gives him an interesting conflict.
12: Rick Richards
Tumblr media
I just don't think he's a memorable character. The conflict he faces is a result of his own actions but it really doesn't matter because he doesn't learn anything. His romance is so much of an afterthought that they don't even kiss until the very end. We get more of a focus on the people he used to be with than focusing on him overcoming that past. You get more invested in the Hawaiian background and the Polynesian Culture Center than you do with him.
13: Josh Morgan
Tumblr media
The most boring Elvis character. His only goal isn't even his own: it's the Air Force who wanted him to go to the mountain. We don't learn anything about him outside of his distant relation to the Tatum family. His romance with Azalea doesn't give us any interesting dynamics and just feels pointless. He is a completely nothing character to the point where he shouldn't even be a main character.

Redacted ship songs?!?! 👀👀👀 LETSS GOOO @penncilkid
Sam/Darlin’
“This is a place where I don’t feel alone, this is a place where I feel at home.”
I’ve already mentioned Two by Sleeping At Last but this song, this song man. It’s probably my favourite song in all existence. It’s so beautifully conforming and mournful at the same time. It reminds me a lot of the inevitability of Sam outliving Darlin’ but celebrating the love and growth they’ve managed to gift each other. With Sam constantly referring to Darlin’ as being “like home” this song feels very fitting.
“Your hope dangling by a string, I’ll share in your suffering, to make you well, to make you well.”
I chose this song for very similar reasons to the previous one. It’s a bit more hopeful, upbeat (with a bit of a country vibe, it’s technically folk rock…) but Sam would 100% sing this to Darlin’!! Tell me I’m wrong 😤
Vincent/Lovely
“I look at you now and I want this forever, I might not deserve it, but there’s nothing better.”
“Feelings they come and they go, that they do, feelings they come and they go, not with you.”
This is a very pretty, very classy song about falling in love under stars. If that’s not Lovely and Vince, I don’t know what is.
Geordi/Cutie
“I don’t like to fight, I told you once, and here’s the twice.”
“I wanna kiss you, wanna hold you, wanna go in as a green light, but I’m a little over-complicating everything that feels right.”
The 22 Break and 22 Make albums by Oh Wonder go pretty hand in hand with each other and remind me a lot of the situation Geordi and Cutie are going through at the moment. 22 Break is a break up album (who would have guessed) but it highlights Geordi’s point of “trust has to work both ways”. The 22 Make album on the other hand makes me super excited for where their relationship might develop to. All I can think of when listening to this ablum is how we’re gonna get to listen to them fall in love with each other all over again, no telepathy, but as people talking!! God I love these two so much 😭😭
Elliott/Sunshine
“Nothing says I like you but not that way. Oh I know that it’s not hard, but I just can’t let down my guard, I’m not trying to say, that I love you, I just think that you’re cute.”
I imagine there was probably a bit of denial/mutual pining between these two before they got together. They’re definitely the type that turned down a lot of people like “We’re just friends 😅” but would secretly both wish that wasn’t the case. They also just deserve a happy, lovey dovey song!
Gavin/Freelancer
“I get messages from the stars, when you’re making love to me, I get messages from the stars, you must be from another galaxy.”
I feel like Freelancer enjoys this kinda music (my Freelancer anyways) and that this song reminds them of Gavin. The “you must be from another galaxy” is kinda funny considering he quite literally is.
“You lift my heart up, when the rest of me is down, you, you enchant me, even when you’re not around.”
Pretty self explanatory I think. A few of Disclosure’s songs are very intense and intimate (You & Me - Flume Remix, especially) it’s almost how I imagine Gavin feels feeding on pleasure. Not necessarily exclusive to just Freelancer but I’m not about to make another section.
Avior/Starlight
“Oh God I dread to know, that after everything, it’s only me who isn’t letting go. I saw you holding on, but for just how long? Oh, if you didn’t stay, I would wait anyway.”
Obviously from Avior’s pov. The pure dedication and hope that if he’s patient enough and holds out hope a little longer they can learn to love him again. The “if you didn’t stay, I would wait anyway” line hits so hard knowing they didn’t stay the first time. He waits cause that all he can do.
“Crack baby you don’t know what you want, but you know that you had it once, and you know that you want it back.”
Again, similar to the previous one. You know it’s good angst when Mitski’s recommended.
——————————
Anyways, gonna stop there cause this has already taken way too long to put together 😭 I had fun tho, I love sharing/assigning music to characters. (Also didn’t intentionally stick to canon ship, that’s just what I had more music recs for) Like always if you wanna join in, feel free!! :D

Debuting this thing so my twitter followers don't have to suffer me. I'm Jacob and I'm in BBCU hell. Having committed myself to another rewatch, I'm just gonna go ahead and lay out some ground rules.
-Given that a lot of really excellent work has already been done on Breaking Bad and masculinity I instead want to focus my analysis more on how this series handles criminality and the construction of mid 2000s middle class white suburbia. That analysis is going to involve a permanent content warning for discussions of
Racism
Police brutality
Law enforcement
Prisons
Addiction/criminalization of addiction
Anti-blackness
Disability/ableism
Misogyny
Homophobia
Potentially transphobia as I get more into the weeds with Jesse
With that in mind I think its important to lay out my credentials. I'm a white transmasculine bisexual American with a background in queer studies, as well as some critical background in postcolonialism. My work is influenced by non-white critics within my personal circle, as well as some lived experience with the American justice system, so I like to think I'm not talking out of my ass here about these topics. That said, in the very possible event that I overstep I am open to correction, apology, and reevaluation. I also want it on the table that my work should be interpreted as strictly within the bounds of the fiction. I don't know Vince Gilligan or Peter Gould or Gordon Smith and don't wish to credit them for a racial consciousness they simply may not possess, I certainly don't hear them talking about this on the insider podcast or in interviews. I'm going to have positive and negative things to say about how this show handles the construction of whiteness, but its worth noting from the outset that I have high skepticism that any of this was on purpose. Its just kind of an inevitable result when you make media this steeped in Americana. Americana is a LOT about race.
With the bonafides out of the way, I plan to upload longform recap posts based on my notes that I make while watching. No consistent schedule, just whenever I put them together. Lot of reblogs I imagine as well, both of the shitpost variety and other analysis that I find interesting or related to my particular areas of interest.
UPDATE: This needs to be specified apparently but no TERFs or gendercrits allowed!
And as always, we invite you to try the spice curls

bike ride today so i have roach thoughts to offer
roach comes back from duviri all sorts of confused and angry:
they did that? to themselves?
why did they do that? -> self loathing & hatred & also a smidge of fear of what they're capable of, fear of the apparent power of their own emotions -> will likely tune out of reality a lot to cope
a confusing mix of powerless & powerful (which are both somewhat invalid because it was always only their own imagination they were going up against - of course the duviri dax soldiers would always be stronger than them no matter how hard they tried, they were just built that way)
hatred and rage at all the time they've lost, wasted - all the suffering they've undergone for no reason (you survived buddy. that was the point)
shame and guilt for all of the above. you'll have to pry information about duviri out of them with a crowbar.
so when they come onboard ordis' shiny new(ly refurbished) squad-sized orbiter and find a bunch of people who are generally upbeat about their circumstances and somehow happy to see them (a danger, a liability) they just go. nu uh. and self-isolate to Not Contaminate the Vibe & not get their own racing thoughts too off track, because it does feel important that they process what happened, but they don't even know where to start and every time they try they go into a spiral - roach is very busy in their own head and generally angry towards people who try to interact with them (except for kelth).
and this hits wrong notes with several of the other residents. but then pule, who's taken being good at jokes to a professional level and knows it, tries to defuse the general permanent tension around roach with a stupid joke. and he miscalculates, very hard, and the joke does the complete opposite of landing - it pretty much explodes, roach explodes on him, threatens to stab him in Vulnerable Locations with Rumblejack, and then Disappears.
pule is very shaken (and feeling Horrible about this) so calls together the warframes (+ kelth) and they form a plan - they're gonna try see if roach would accept reverse transference therapy: a warframe soothing a tenno (equivalent). kelth brings it up with them because roach is most likely to take it seriously when it's coming from kelth. kelth does not tell them it was pule's idea.
roach is Very Tentative about it and mostly thinks it's interesting for the same reason that margulis locked away the tenno powers: they're afraid that they're out of control, and having a lens like a warframe to focus their power through sounds temptingly safe.
they first try out bruiser, but his raw power and ability to facetank most kinds of shit kind of causes them to go into a frenzy not unlike a duviri anger spiral - they go utterly berserk and bruiser is Not up for that so this test is called off.
next, they try out sufford. now, when i played the quest i obviously picked excalibur, so i think it'd be nice if roach also did that - let's say that in the main timeline, sufford has some Naps in between discovering the Zariman (post following about why specifically that point) and the new war, that kelth can't wake him up out of. helminth says he's just having some really deep dreams and kelth accepts that, still a bit suspicious. after TNW sufford doesn't have any more of these weird dreams so kelth kind of forgets about it (there's a Lot to keep track of). anyway, roach tries out sufford, and finds the same problems they had with him in duviri - he's too disciplined, too adherent to rules, too focused on stances and proper combat and - everything's just too fucking clean and cut neatly. battle isn't a fight with sufford, not even a dance - it's just a methodical routine. (this isn't to say that sufford doesn't enjoy his way of fighting - he does, a lot, and he enjoys the perfection he's brought his skills to - it's just not roach's speed)
vince isn't even on the docket for this one because he's not a fighter so they skip him altogether. he is Fine with this. i hope to wrangle everyone into a position where roach and vince Can just hang out together sometime doing something non-fighting, because i've literally defined vince as having cat energy and roach is also somewhat going in that direction, and i think that would be fun. but not for fighting.
verica has too much bullshit going on in her fighting style for roach to keep track of. there's- music and a ball rolling around and the beat and- nope. too much stuff that's only tangentially combat related. roach needs something simpler.
kali also isn't an option because- well. Reasons.
last is pule, and neither roach nor pule has been looking forward to this. roach, because they Don't Like This Guy since the stupid miscalculation of a joke, and pule, because tbh he's kind of scared after The Threats. but, sure, he can give them a show of how he works on a battlefield. and it's- the right amount of control over the battlefield, the right amount of self-support that makes him hard to down in addition to enough strength to dominate a decently sized group of enemies, and enough visual confirmations of his abilities - tendrils, maggots, infesting surfaces temporarily - that keep roach grounded into reality.
it also helps that pule can relate to feeling a bit like a monster - at least, in roach's case, on the inside.

i’d kind of assumed you really liked football cause of this verse so i’m sorry for making you suffer 😅 maybe this one is easier… are they all in the same year in university? and do they all have plans for when they graduate?
Oh no, i'm just big stupid and decided to make life harder on myself by writing characters who play a sport I absolutely never watched.
-
Lucas, Bella, Vince, Wendy and Jonah are all in their 4th year of university.
Vince's major is history and he's graduating this year. He wants to teach in the future and he really really likes working at the local museum, so he's not gonna drop this job.
Jonah and Wendy are med students, so they still have a long way to go. Jonah plans to be a cardiac surgeon and Wendy wants to be a neurologist, but her plans aren't as set in stone as Jon's are. She likes a lot of different fields.
Lucas is double majoring in political science and history and he wants to be a politician, like his mother was before him. He's going to be working in the next elections as part of a communications team and he's already involved with multiple organizations. Jonah aside, Lucas is the one who's got the clearest view of what he wants for his future (he's a control freak).
Bella's major is computer science and she's graduating this year, alongside Vince. She's not sure what she's doing after college, except that she really likes coding, so she's already looking for jobs in this area. She's more anxious about this than she's about her future with Lucas, feels like they're set in stone.
Leo's major is law and he's a year older than all of the guys, putting him in his last and 5th year. He's already interning as a paralegal in an office and he wants to go up. Unlike Bella, he's more anxious about his relationships than he is about his career. Leo's scared that once he drops out of the team, all of his relationships are going to vanish on thin air.

Every bit of that was beautifully written and there are so many little things that stuck with me, but particularly the speech about finding your higher power, leaving the world a bit better for having had you in it… and then “You can be my higher power. Stop drinking, [he thinks], so your Kauri will forgive you for ruining his life and tell God to let a bunch of shit go.” and Vince finding the strength to kill Owen with Kauri on top of him, Owen nearly killing Kauri being that final push. Vince saved both Kauri and himself when this whole time he thought one would always have to suffer for the other (starting with Kauri being bought by Owen because of Vince to the possibility that Nat and co could only save one of them and contending to being the one that gets left behind). But he did it, and now he gets to own Owen through that final act, and it’s payback not only for Kauri, but for himself too!! Because salvation for one is salvation for the other!! And Kauri forgives him and so he can start to forgive himself too!!! I just, I love this story and these characters so much, this arc was Biblical I tell you. I don’t know if I’m being as coherent as I’d like but Gosh it’s hitting.
Also what Jameson said reminded me of Song of Solomon. “You just can’t fly on off and leave a body. […] if you take a life, then you own it. You responsible for it. You can’t get rid of nobody by killing them. They still there, and they yours now.” It’s one of my favorite books and those lines have always stuck with me and I’ve thought of them a lot in relation to Jameson’s story, and now I’m so interested in how it’ll play out for Vince, with the same idea but inverted - where getting to own Owen in this way is a good thing, because it means taking himself back. But, like, probably still traumatizing, because murder. His therapist is gonna have a field day with this one huh.
Also also!! “Nat looks over at Vince, not at the three on the end of the bed, and he wonders what it costs her to care for him first and leave Kauri to Antoni and Jake. But when he meets her eyes, she doesn’t look like someone who would rather be holding anyone else. She’s looking only at him.” My HEART. This friendship means the world to me Ash. And oh, Jameson’s gonna be so proud. I never knew I needed this trio but it’s perfect.
Sorry for rambling so much. I’m full of love and tears.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Working with Vince's alcohol addiction and how he used it to sort of bury his sense of having lost himself in the attempt to escape Owen and live a life that pretends to be unscathed - and how giving it up forced him to confront the reality of what Owen did - became increasingly important to me as I worked with his drabbles. I think it's kind of fascinating to have this character in a universe like the BBU whose tragedy has no elements of sci-fi, but is genuine tragedy that weaves in and around the other stories.
Vince grounds the BBU, in a way.

xx11.a: The River, As I awoke from the campsite … I immediately noticed as The Jester had disappeared. No sign of The Street Rat, but as I went to get up and unclasp my hands from beneath my head … I feel paper … a note … from said drifter that read. “We’ve been through a lot of shit you and I. and to tell you the truth, I’d be dead ten times over without you always being there to save my ass or support me when I was down dude. in all honesty, I was ready to end it a couple of times. I’ve never said this before but… one night the smiles faded and I was ready to paint the wall with my little snub 357, It was a few months back when you went awol. I blamed you for a while… thought all the worst shit and painted you in a light that you would never be seen in and made myself believe in my own fucked up delusions that you were a person you most certainly weren’t… I know it’s fucked but I’d honestly never wanna tell you the things I thought and wished on you, because they were just fucking wrong and I’m embarrassed to have even been me in that moment… But I held that against you for a while you going dark, because in truth I’m just a little fucked up mentally as you know. But I’m sorry. I should have never ever said the things I did or done the things I did. I wanted to kill you off and just erase you from existence. But even through all your shit and downright wrong scenarios, you were going through… you were fucking there. And tbh… sometimes that makes it all the harder to know you which I know sounds weird dude. But it is just that I can’t ever see you not being there and I don’t know what the fuck I’d be doing without you. You really are my best fucking friend ever and I will fucking die on any hill or any battlefield you want me to. I don’t care what old mental residue is left over in that damn brain of yours that’s trying to choke you out, that haunts your damn dream and waking life or the hard pills you were forced to swallow that made you delta on us for a bit… I will stand just as strong as you have for me… if not harder because I will always owe you more than anyone ever. That night you yelled in my face and told me I was the problem and said you thought I was the reason everyone ODed back in the day… hurt like hot fire replaced my everything, and boy did I hate you in that moment as we’ve discussed, but that day when you came to me again… in all your suffering and heartache to come and ease my mind and tell me… You didn’t hate me, and you didn’t think I was a bad person, and you were just being immature and holding grudges and placing wild blame on someone that didn’t deserve it. I still to this day… have no idea how the fuck you had the courage to say that about yourself. I envy you so much dude… like I wish I had that ability and I’m going to actually try every fucking day to be more like you. Fucking everyone if they could see you now… would be in awe… because you are the goddamn goat when it comes down to people in general homie… I want you to know the only reason that there are two Vince brothers alive today to ruin the world a little longer… Is all you dude… no joke this time playa. I’m going off as you suggested… to live with The Knight. And help him recover from his shit and help out. I’m gonna fucking recover and be so much better dude… ALL FOR YOU!!!! Because you disserve to reach your Cloud of Dreams dude… I wanna be somehow as strong as you are mentally and emotionally even in your now broken state… I’ll be there whenever you need me… even if I’m not ready and in pain… from now on… I’m gonna support you as you do me and others homie… through shit thick and sludge like Salem, I won’t ever forget the promise we made when we were kids dude. We’re getting out of The City TOGETHER!… I fucking love you!. And I will be here for you whenever you goddamn need homie. And you bet your ass I’ll See you when I see you. Stay honest Teufel and I’ll see you where the sun don’t shine!” I was speechless … [To Be Continued]

ex malo bonum
behold, the dumpsterfire of a fic i’ve been obsessing over for the last week.
Fandom: Motley Crue Characters, pairings: demon!Nikki Sixx, demon!Tommy Lee, demon!Mick Mars, fallen angel!Vince Neil, Nikki/Vince, elements of Tommy/Vince and hints of Nikki/Tommy Rating: Explicit Warnings (please pay attention!!!): violence, non-con, drug use mention, alcohol mention, self-harm tendencies, suicide attempts, murder Summary: Vince thought he knew where fallen angels go and what they become. But he never expected to go through something like that. A/N: I’m not religious at all and my entire knowledge of Christian canon comes from Jesus Christ Superstar and Bulgakov’s Master and Margarita. I was making up lore on the go and I dare assume almost all of it is completely wrong. If you’re offended by this, please don’t proceed!
As always, huge thanks to @polska-tankietka for editing this, love ya!
Chapter 1.
Word count: 2677
Warnings (for this particular chapter): violence, suicide attempts mention, alcohol mention, drug use mention
“Did it hurt?”
“What?” Vince blinked and looked up from his shot of whiskey. He was already on his fifth, but was only slightly tipsy (must have something to do with the quick regeneration thing). The shitty bar where he was drinking himself into oblivion was dimly lit, and he had to squint to make out the face of a stranger standing behind his shoulder. The stranger’s voice was pleasant, but there was something… unsettling in it. Off-putting. Hostile.
“Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?” he repeated smugly. His hand crawled onto Vince’s shoulder and clutched it. A hot, blinding spike of something that felt like electric shock went down Vince’s spine, and everything became so clear he wondered how in the world he hadn’t seen it coming. In his defense, they were faster than he thought.
“It did,” Vince raised his head and looked the demon straight in the eyes, curving his lips in disgust. “A lot.”
The first was a car, a truck going down a busy highway with a very convenient pedestrian bridge over it. Vince figured out the right moment and jumped, his white Heaven robes flapping like wings behind his back. When he woke up they were no longer white, but a dark red, the color he would have assumed to be his blood if he had found a single injury on his body. But there hadn’t been any.
He had to change his clothes after that, partly escaping humans too curious for their own good, partly no longer wanting to be reminded of what he had had and what he had lost.
“Drowning your sorrows in whisky, huh?” The demon pulled up a chair and plopped down on it, his hand sliding from Vince’s shoulder down onto his arm and staying there, grazing over the skin with his claws occasionally, oh so carefully. Vince didn’t pull his arm away from the grip, although every fiber of his being protested to the touch. He could reach that one pocket of his jacket with another hand just as easily. “If I were you, I would celebrate.”
“You aren’t me,” Vince retorted indifferently, turning away from the demon and focusing on his almost empty glass.
“Not yet, sweetie.” The demon grasped Vince’s chin with his fingers and turned his head back to face him. Vince shook his fingers off his chin with clear revulsion. “What a pretty thing you are. You know that? Have you already come across the human concept of beauty?”
“No,” Vince said listlessly. He couldn’t care less about the small talk, but the demon’s intentions still weren’t clear to him and asking directly felt weirdly untimely.
“You will,” the demon promised, moving closer to Vince, almost breathing into his ear, and Vince couldn’t help casting a quick look over him. Despite the lack of light, the demon’s eyes looked unnaturally green. “They’re completely obsessed over it. Starving themselves to death, wasting their entire salaries on beauty products, painting their faces until they are unrecognizable, squeezing their bodies into uncomfortable clothes. It’s so much fun. How did you manage to get such a good-looking body, though? All the angels I met looked like middle-aged accountants at best. Heaven is really obsessed over its employees’ purity.”
“Random distribution,” Vince murmured and downed his shot. The demon waved to the barista and showed him two fingers. A few moments later two shots of whisky were sent their way.
The second time, it was the height. Vince stood atop a twenty-story building and looked down at the busy street beneath, and everything was so little and insignificant. He didn’t have his wings anymore, but he could feel the rapture of flying one more time.
Vince woke up in the hole on the pavement the shape of which resembled that of his body. He had only a few scratches and not a single bone broken. He kept touching those scratches for the next hour until they healed.
Last time there were no injuries. Progress.
“I’m paying, baby.” The demon pulled a wallet out of the pocket of his leather jacket and slid two dollar-bills the barista’s way. “Enjoy your downfall. Did you already get the concept of money? Those humans turned pieces of metal and paper into their literal gods. They’re ready to die for it. How many of them, you think, are ready to die for an actual God, like real Jesus Christ, nowadays?”
His name out of the mouth of this despicable creature was like a string snapping in Vince’s chest, badly cutting his insides. “Don’t you dare speak His name,” he hissed, jerking his arm away from the demon’s grasp and moving his chair farther down the bar counter. If his gaze could kill, the demon’s body would already have been sprawled on the floor under the counter.
“Or what?” the demon stretched out his hand and wrapped his fingers around Vince’s elbow again, dragging him back in place. The chair legs gritted across the floor loudly, and Vince felt like all the eyes in the bar were on them now. The demon’s claws, painted in chipped black nail polish, were digging deep into his skin, but this time Vince didn’t try to wrestle away from his grip. This creature isn’t worthy of your anger, he reminded himself. “You’ll tell him and he’ll punish me? Funny. He no longer needs you, honey. That’s why he got rid of you. Threw you out like a toy he got fed up with.”
“Shut up,” Vince bit his lip and looked away. Every word slashed his soul like a sword, leaving deep, bleeding, unhealable cuts. “Stop that. Just-“ too early, a warning flashed across his mind, but he shook it off. The demon was clearly mocking him, and Vince wasn’t going to put up with that. “just tell me what you want from me.”
The third time, there were drugs. He tried regular pills from the pharmacy first - he heard they can cause death when consumed in excessive amounts. He woke up in the public toilet of some fast-food restaurant, in the puddle of his own vomit, with people banging on the door and shouting. Then there were other drugs, which people buy not in clean, white pharmacies with smiling women in doctor’s robes, but in dark alleys and night clubs. People didn’t want to give it to Vince without money, and he could no longer use any of his previous powers, so getting them was one hell of a job. All of which was in vain, because Vince only got a short and sharp sting of pleasure across his body before descending into darkness, and then woke up, this time in a hospital, surrounded by dumbfounded doctors.
“Nothing much,” the demon smiled sweetly and almost gently tucked a stray golden lock behind Vince’s ear. The demon’s own hair was pitch-black and wild, framing the sides of his face and falling onto his forehead, but still not managing to hide the uncanny gleam in his eyes. “You’re a pretty little thing, and I like pretty little things. Let’s hook up, and I’ll leave you alone.”
“Hook up?” Vince frowned, and the demon laughed sincerely.
“Sweet innocence. Don’t worry, you’ll learn. It won’t take long. You’ll enjoy it. It’s one of the things humans do all the time, to have fun or kids or both, or aiming for one and getting the other.”
Vince gave him a long, hard look, for the first time this evening. He foresaw that – well, not exactly that, but something of a kind – and the blade dipped in holy water was now warming in the pocket of his jacket, reacting to the demonic presence. Killing a demon was hard and usually disapproved of by the authorities – the privilege of killing belonged only to high-ranked angels, ones who could withstand the temptation of sin inevitably coming with it. It was even harder for a fallen angel devoid of the Lord’s blessing. But it was possible.
His human vessel was shorter and weaker than that of the demon. But he had the blade. He had the advantage.
“Checking me out, huh?” The demon traced his fingertips along Vince’s jawline. Vince didn’t flinch back. “I gotta say, I am extremely lucky with my current vessel. It gets me all the chicks.”
“My human form is male.”
“Doesn’t matter. You’re pretty, you qualify. Blond too. Love blonds.” The demon grinned, his teeth slightly sharper than human’s, a little bit too many of them. Devil is in the details, Vince recalled.
“Why don’t you get any other human then? Why me?”
“Honey, what demon wouldn’t want to bang a freshly fallen angel? It’s not every day that we have visitors from up there. You reek of Heaven, blondie. There’s still a lot of it in you. I wanna know how it feels.”
The demon licked his lips, eyeing Vince up as though he wanted to eat him whole. Vince shuddered but didn’t look away. He wasn’t afraid of him, after all.
“Sweetheart, I’m not gonna wait for you to come to terms with it. Don’t test my patience.”
“What if I refuse?” Vince carefully moved the untouched shot away, barely brushing the glass with the tip of a finger. The demon didn’t comment on it, but his gaze lingered on the rejected whisky a little longer than necessary.
“Then there will be a very loud and unpleasant scene that will surely feature in every newspaper by the end of the day. I feel like you still don’t fully understand,” the demon leaned closer to Vince and almost whispered in his ear, “I will get you anyway. You can only choose how, by force or by your own will.”
Vince closed his eyes, suppressing the urge to grip the handle of the blade through the jacket. He knew, of course, that demons couldn’t be trusted with a conversation, let alone an agreement. He shouldn’t have answered him in the first place. On the other hand, in this case. the demon wouldn’t have left him alone and would have forced him to answer. He couldn’t get rid of him with God’s power – he was no longer able to use it, neither could he deal with him with the help of simple, brutal force. Because he, as any angel, was against violence in general, not because the demon was half a head taller than him and had claws and sharp teeth.
Maybe it was better to just submit. Maybe the demon would be too distracted during this “hook-up”, whatever he was going to do to him, and wouldn’t notice Vince pulling out the blade. Maybe.
Submit and just let him do whatever he wants? something whispered quietly to him inside his head, something the invisible presence of which Vince could feel but only now got to hear. So you would let the forces of evil run amok because you’re not supposed to beat them?
Yes, Vince cut the something off and turned to the demon.
“Alright,” he said quietly. “It won’t take long, will it?”
“It will take as much as I need, angel, and by the end you will beg for more,” the demon promised complacently and pulled him up from the chair. “Come on. My car is in the parking lot.”
“Isn’t that kinda… uncomfortable?” Vince raised his eyebrow, for a second actually trying to imagine two whole people trying to find enough room on the backseat.
The demon burst into laughter, but the grip on Vince’s arm remained tight. “That’s the point, baby! Quick and dirty, exactly what you angels deserve. Come on.” He headed to the door, dragging Vince along.
Once they were outside, Vince lingered a little to inhale crisp, fresh night air - most of the Earth smells were still new to him, and some of them were quite pleasant. The demon interpreted it differently.
“Nervous? Don’t worry, all virgins are. You at least will probably be the first fallen angel to get rid of his virginity so quickly. Some never even get to experience it.”
“Why?”
“Because they’re ugly as hell, haven’t you heard me? I’m telling you,” he turned to Vince and poked him in the chest, “I’m telling you, this vessel is gonna be your best asset on this Earth. Everyone likes beautiful people. It’ll make your life down here easier. Actor, singer, model, hooker – choose whatever you want. Oh, here’s my car.” The demon pointed at a black, relatively small car in the farthest slot of the parking lot. “Seems small, but I can assure you, it fits our needs perfectly.”
“Your needs.”
“Eh, stop playing Virgin Mary. Mary Magdalene had a much better time before Jesus showed up. The girl was going places.” The demon grinned at the sight of indignation on Vince’s face. They approached the car, but instead of opening the door the demon backed Vince up against it, grabbed his collar and pulled him into a sloppy kiss.
Vince didn’t get to know what it felt like. A belt wrapped around his throat and yanked his body backward, hitting his back against the car roof and pinning him down to it. Vince’s hands flew up to the belt, scratching on it in a fruitless attempt to loosen it, but the assaulter was strong, stronger than him. And a demon as well, because the mere touch of his hands sent another spike of hot, buzzing electricity down Vince’s spine.
“Hold him!” The demon who brought him here tried to grab his wrists, got a kick in the stomach and had to take a second to drag himself off the ground. The second time he tried to grab him Vince was prepared.
The demon gasped and recoiled, his hands jerking up to his chest where the blade was now buried, barely audible sizzling coming out from the wound. The one behind Vince’s back almost rushed to help him, loosening his grip, but was stopped by a fierce glare of then-green eyes, now a solid black. Instead, he grabbed a fistful of Vince’s hair and banged his head on the car roof so hard it dented - the head or the roof, Vince didn’t really understand, because the world blurred in front of his eyes.
The next thing he remembered was lying on the cold pavement, hot blood dripping onto his eyes. A stray lock was hanging in front of his face, all smeared in blood as well. His hands were tied by the same belt that had been wrapped around his neck. Two demons stood above him, both black-haired and tall, their eyes now pitch-black, both radiating rage so intense it heated up the air around them.
“Fucking bitch,” the one from the bar spit out. “Who do you think you are to use this?” he raised the blade carefully by the handle. It was still covered in his blood, which oozed slowly from the cut in his chest and stained his shirt. Apart from that, it didn’t seem to cause much harm. “You’re no longer the warrior of God, blondie. You’re the same as us now. Wanna see?”
He kicked Vince in the side to roll him onto his back and then drove the blade right into his shoulder. Vince thought he knew what it would feel like: he had tried cutting himself before.
He didn’t expect it to burn, the same way it did in the demon’s flesh.
The demons didn’t even let him scream out his pain. They put something sticky on his mouth and threw him onto the backseat. The new, taller one, whose face Vince hadn’t managed to make out, got behind the wheel, and the green-eyed one sat at the back with Vince, his hand gripping his arm firmly, claws digging into his skin and leaving deep red marks.
Vince didn’t notice the pain. Tears streamed down his face silently while he was frantically, desperately searching for that connection he had always had deep inside his soul, the connection to Him.
He searched, and searched, and found nothing.

ASTRO OBSERVATIONS PT.3
🦩Neptune in 1st and 5th people can often suffer from conditions like body dysmorphia due to an innate inability to see themselves as they truly are. keep in mind that this is not always the case but it is certainly very common with this aspect.
🦩In synastry, jupiter, uranus and/or venus in the 1st house is indicative of the planet person loving the house person’s body. jupiter likes and appreciates the ascendant’s body and usually goes out of their way to make the house person feel good about themselves, inside and out. uranus tends to be wholly accepting of the house person’s body which is usually a very welcomed feeling for the house person. venus usually sees the house person as their physical ideal.
🦩Aquarius MC natives usually do something first, then people follow. they’re trendsetters.
EX: Matisse Thybulle (20° Aquarius MC) is the NBA player who started “NBA Bubble Vlogs” and then many other players started doing the same thing.
🦩The house that the 8th house ruler falls in indicates your soulmate.
EX: 8th house ruler (Saturn) in 11th could indicate that your soulmate is one of your [older//male] friends.
🦩2nd house ruler in the 2nd house indicates spending money on or investing in things that bring you comfort. this is also a position indicative of emotional eating and emotional shopping.
🦩people with 8th house suns and 11th house suns tend to be very difficult people to truly get to know.
8th house suns are more outwardly mysterious so it’s less surprising when one realises they don’t know much about them.
11th house suns are seemingly more open and are very friendly. they relate to people in a way that gives others the impression that they know everything about them when they really don’t.
🦩mercury in 12th house people have others talk over them on a regular basis. they’ll be in the middle of a sentence and someone just cuts them off and starts talking about something else or they just get ignored completely.
🦩a lot of people with 10th and 11th house stelliums are actually introverts. they can be social butterflies when they’re ready and they do love interacting with others and meeting new people but social interaction can actually be draining for these people. these are the people who are the life of the party when they go to an event but then disappear and go into hibernation for 3 months after.
🦩moon square saturn in synastry is a lot more common than people even realise. many, many, many married couples have this aspect together! it may be a more difficult aspect to have but the people who have this aspect in their synastry usually believe that they’re gonna be together forever (and they usually are) so eventually they decide to work out their problems. i’ve noticed that couples with this aspect get closer to each other after experiencing any kind of hardship or tragedy; their bond is strengthened through overcoming things together. it’s not easy but it is an indicator of undying devotion.
🦩pisces and sagittarius placements get along way better than cookbook astrology gives them credit for. they seem to really compliment each other. pisces usually softens sagittarius up and sagittarius usually appreciates the pisces kindness. they accept each other’s differences really well and allow each other to be who they are. they give each other the freedom they both require.
🦩someone’s ascendant conjunct your midheaven (mc) may indicate that you look up to them. in a sense, they’re everything you’ve ever wanted to be…or they at least come off that way
🦩people with hard mercury-saturn aspects have deep and (kinda) monotone voices. they have a tendency to talk slowly; they take their time with their words. when explaining something they also have a tendency to say “uh//hmm//umm” or “do you know what i mean?”. they’re voices are also pretty recognisable
EX: Harry Styles (Aquarius Mercury @ 29° conjunct Pisces Saturn @ 0°) has a distinct, deep speaking voice. In interviews, he is known to speak slowly as if he’s really thinking about what he is saying or is about to say. he is also a frequent user of “ahm” in his sentences.
🦩virgo placements are really good at folding.
🦩MANY MANY MANY MANY musicians have neptune in 3rd. it bestows a sort of mesmerising musical talent to the natives who are blessed enough to have this placement. they have great voices and may also be gifted with instruments.
EX: Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Madonna, Kurt Cobain, Britney Spears, Harry Styles (again lol), John Mayer, Jaden Smith, Dua Lipa, Marvin Gaye, Louis Armstrong, Halsey etc.
🦩neptune in 10th natives can have a “can’t-do-wrong” reputation. people can see them as angels on earth even when that may not be the case. these people could also do some kind of humanitarian work for a living or be involved with many causes. many people with this placement complain about being seen in a way that isn’t who they truly are. neptune in the house of public perception tends to allow others to project whatever they want onto the native; they can be very misunderstood by people around them.
EX: Diana, Princess of Wales, Oprah Winfrey, Jesus Christ, Bernie Sanders, Walt Disney, Aaliyah, Gigi Hadid.
🦩women with their moon in a house ruled by a masculine planet (1st, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th) could have many male friends but have trouble maintaining some friendships with men because the male friend may develop romantic feelings for her. it happens A LOT.
the opposite goes for men. men with their moons in feminine houses (2nd, 4th, 8th, 12th) could have many female friends but one or a few of them may develop feelings for him. these are more private houses so she/they may never confess their feelings
🦩people with 10th house venus often attract and go for older partners and im not talking about people who are like 20 years older (ik that can happen but it’s a rare case) but people who are like right outside their age group so maybe 5-6 years older.
these people can also experience getting “hit on” by older people while they are very young.
🦩air mars gets a reputation for being lethargic, overly polite, non-physical and low energy but air martians just need an outlet to put their energy into. lots of athletes have air mars
EX: Kobe Bryant (Libra Mars), Kyrie Irving (Aquarius Mars), Bam Adebayo (Libra Mars), Tiger Woods (Gemini Mars), Tom Brady (Gemini Mars), Lance Armstrong (Aquarius Mars), Lou Gehrig (Libra Mars), Floyd Mayweather (Aquarius Mars), Marcus Smart (Aquarius Mars)
🦩lots of basketball players also have venus-mars aspects
EX: Kawhi Leonard ( conjunction in Leo), Kobe Bryant (conjunction in Libra), Jayson Tatum (sextile - capricorn/pisces), Vince Carter (sextile - pisces/capricorn), Steph Curry (trine - taurus/capricorn), Zion Williamson (conjunction in Cancer), Lonzo Ball (conjunction in Sagittarius), Magic Johnson (conjunction in Virgo)

sinclair brothers: life or death edition
[because i like suffering, so i make my blorbos and friends suffer too. had these terrible Thoughts™ after something lily said in the slasher server. also don't mind me keeping the circumstances of the deaths vague, because i really don't know in what situation saving only one brother would happen. bold is sign. warning for angst and death, specifically sibling death so i really ask you to heed the warning 💗]
okay so in the scenario where two of the brothers are in mortal peril and the third only has time to save one of them, who would they each save?
some answers are obvious. when lily posed this question she even said "obviously vincent would save bo, but would he hesitate?".
choose your fighter
vincent would save bo. end of conversation.
but no, really. i really, really wish he would have a moment of hesitation. a moment where he looks between the both of them, his twin and his baby brother and for a split second he doesn't know what to do. but he doesn't. it was always going to be bo, and they all know it.
sure, he'll feel guilty afterwards. lester is his baby brother, he loves him so much, but it was never a competition.
They're sat, side by side, in the truck. Neither had spoken for the five hours they'd been driving and Vincent would be happy if they waited another five. But he has no such luck.
"Thank you," Bo mutters, tiredly.
Vincent grunts, he doesn't know what to say. Doesn't know what Bo wants him to say.
"What we gonna do now?"
"I don't know."
"I..." Bo starts but trails off, hands clenching and unclenching on the steering wheel.
Vincent knows what he's getting at. "It was always going to be you."
"I know. I know, but... can't of been easy."
"You don't want me to answer that."
Bo hums. There are times when even he thinks Vincent is cold.
As they drive, the truck headlights pass over a dead deer in the road. Road kill.
bo would save vincent. end of conversation.
bo feels slightly more guilty than vincent ever would for not saving lester, but there was only one choice; bo couldn't manage without vincent. bo has always felt a lot of responsibility to take care of lester when their parents didn't, but he just can't lose vincent.
"Am I a bad person?"
"No, I don't think so. Not for this, anyway."
"But... I let him down."
"Would you have been able to make any other choice?"
"No." Bo doesn't hesitate in his answer. Despite his guilt, despite the horrible pit in his stomach, he looks over at Vincent and knows this is always what the outcome would have been.
There's a long stretch of silence. It stretches on like the dark, empty road in front of them.
"Thank you."
Bo nods, still slightly dazed from the nights events. It was always going to be like this.
Vincent shuffles across the bench seat and rests his head on Bo's shoulder as he drives. "We're going to be okay."
"I know," Bo sighs. "I shoulda tried harder though, I shoulda done more."
"He'd understand. You know that."
Bo sniffs, hard, and keep his eyes go back to the road. "That's the problem, isn't it? He knew I weren't gonna save him. He's always known."
Vincent lifts his head again, replacing it with his hand and he squeezes Bo's shoulder. "You need to sleep."
"I don't need --"
"We'll talk in the morning, I promise." Vincent hopes they won't. Hopes in the clear light of day that Bo might realise that he didn't have a choice, that he never had a choice and all of them were far, far too aware of it.
lester would save vincent.
although lester always been closer with bo, he has to save vincent.
bo would not be able to survive without vincent, he'd be a total mess. he'd be angry at lester for letting vince die and, all in all, it'd be no way for bo to live. it would hurt bo more to make him live without his twin than to have just let him die.
that isn't to say that vincent isn't equally as upset, he's angry that lester let bo die, but he definitely understands the reasoning. lester outright tells him that. and besides, vincent has never needed bo as much as bo needed him. it still takes him a long, long time to deal with it, but a long, long time is better than never.
"Why me? Why choose me?"
"You think if this was me and Bo standing right here it'd be better?"
Vincent moves to say something but he pauses.
Lester scoffs, knows its mean but he can't bring himself to feel bad, "Exactly."
Vincent sits on the edge of the bed, elbows rest on his knees, head in his hands.
The motel room is silent, apart from the tinny sound of the TV from the room next door. Lester takes the initiative and turns their own set on, flicking absently through the channels.
For a split second he pauses on Jerry Springer. Quickly he changes it over, settles instead on some Hallmark movie that nether of them are going to watch.
Vincent grunts, to make Lester turn around and face him, "You should have left us both."
"Ya think I didn't think about it? 'Scuse me for being selfish, but I didn't wanna be all alone and --" Lester starts, face twisting into a scowl, not out of any annoyance with his brother, but out of frustration. What the fuck was he supposed to have done?
"But I am. I am alone!"
Lester knows Vincent is just hurting, knows he doesn't mean it, not really, but it still stings. "I get it. I ain't never been enough for ya, for either o' ya, but we're here now and I'm sorry for it."
Vincent doesn't reply, simply leans down to unlace his boots, kicking them off before crawling under the starched covers of the musty motel bed.
Lester does the same, turning the overhead light off before crossing in the dark to the other bed.
It doesn't take long for Lester to hear the soft, muffled sniffles coming from Vincent's bed. He's glad the light is off, he doesn't want to see Vincent's shoulders shudder with the crushing pain of it all. Doesn't want to see how Vincent pulls the spare pillow to his chest and squeezes, searching for the solace he was so used to getting from his twin.
bonus: if lester saved bo instead
"C'mon we gotta - we gotta go!"
"No, no stop! Wait, I can - can get him, I can --"
"Bo, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! But we have to go, he's gone!"
"No!" Bo musters enough strength to wrench himself out of Lester's grasp, running back towards the museum but his knees buckle before he makes it. "No, please."
Lester strides towards his big brother. The man who always kept it in front of Lester, who always looked after him, even when he couldn't look after himself. Lester has long since been the one doing the looking-after.
He slips his arms under Bo's armpits and pulls him up.
Bo isn't much help, but he follows Lester's lead, down the gravel road and into the truck.
Once they're out on the road, Lester tense behind the wheel, they sit in what would be silence, if it weren't for Bo.
Bo cries. He'd made a point, ever since they were kids, not to cry in front of Lester. But now he couldn't help it, he's curls in on himself in the passenger seat and sobs. Lester can't help but keep glancing across, watching Bo wrap his arms around himself in search of the oh-so-familiar comfort of his twin.
"You shoulda - shoulda saved him. Shoulda saved him."
"I'm sorry," is all Lester can reply.

bro 👁👁 if u wanna talk more abt jodi and her parenting i would LOVE to hear it :D honestly you worded it much better than i could asdmsbf ty!!
THANK U SO MUCH IVE BEEN DYING TO TALK ABOUT THIS FOR A HOT MINUTE ok im gonna bleed this in with some of MY headcanons personally and some of the canon dialogue!! i’ll bold my headcanons so its easier to differentiate what im talkin about bopbop also this is SO long im sorry
also this makes it seem like i don’t like jodi i do!! (thats my mom in law hehe) but like... just some of the stuff she says points to deeper insecurity issues.
so in short: this is kind of a jodi analysis.
it’s def touched upon by multiple people that she doesn’t seem happy (her dialogue is full of ‘i wants’ and ‘i wishes) but i do think that’s not entirely the case, it’s just a classic mother thing to feel sort of (lack of a better word) trapped into motherhood and her responsibilities. and i def think kent being away probably worsened that.
with kent being away she was pretty much a single mother, and as seen in sam’s canon character, he has to do a lot to make up for kent’s absence... financially and emotionally, for both her and vince. vince needs a positive male figure to look up to to inspire him to be the best he can be, and jodi needs stability and help with her own responsibilities. sam tries to fulfill all of that and even some of his marriage dialogue (and his three heart event) it definitely puts stress on him.
so, sam tries his best! but in some dialogue and sam’s heart events you can see she still gets on him for things that makes him like :/ she still views him as a child occasionally despite being a full adult who is also sorta-parenting vincent, acting as some sort of doing-good role model for him, and i believeeee he says he tries to be his best specifically for vincent’s growth.
jodi still treats vincent like a child, but she still treats him better than she treats sam often. which kinda ties into the point i made about sam being the trial/error kid. i’ve headcanoned and i’ve seen others also say that kent and jodi got married straight out of high school. u kno typical military stuff. this also kind of explains her sort of ‘trapped feeling’ dialogue since it seems like she didn’t get much time to explore the world or maybe even explore herself as an individual. caroline likes gardening, marnie loves animals to death, and robin knows woodworking/a trade but jodi... just has regular ‘housewife’ things like cooking and cleaning.
Tumblr media
^ like this doesn’t sound like someone who had a CHOICE in what her life has turned out to be. and i think sam got the BRUNT of that.
Tumblr media
and here ^ she’s kind of immature in some of her dialogue, esp since (like u said in ur post!!) that sam caught on to it and has reacted negatively to it. i would venture to a point and say she most likely suffered with post-partum depression for sam especially if she felt trapped with kent as she does in game. i def think that with this and in canon, sam was probably used as her guinea pig for parenting. obviously no one is a natural born mother but if kent had just gone away in the military and she had sam, i can definitely see where some resentment for kent and sam would come in... along with resentment for herself for getting herself into that situation.
which that kind of train of thought could be an explanation for some of her self-deprecating/wants and wishes dialogue. once the issues of raising sam had kinda smoothed out, and he became old enough to realize exactly what was going on with his father/the war and his mother’s reactions to that stress, she probably already figured out how to parent vincent. esp since sam and vincent seem so similar (adhd imo) what didn’t work with sam jodi was able to figure out.
but going back to how she treats sam! i do think she would still kind of hold some resentment. obviously she loves sam but she still views him as a child, despite how mature he really is... like in his marriage dialogue and his three heart event. i honestly think his whole sunshine/golden retriever boy personality is ofc true but. partially true. i think he does it as a save face for how he really feels, which is anxious (about his fathers return and vincent growing up).
but one of the first tags i put! def more headcanon-y just from the stuff i mentioned above. jodi definitely gives me the ‘weaponizes basic needs’ in an argument type of mom. u kno the whole “i feed you, you have a roof over your head, i put clothes on your back” kind of manipulation. which.. yeah jodi you should! i think she’s very insecure about herself and very anxious over her situation and is at a constant state of trying to prove to herself her own worth. like.. the only thing she is/does is be a mother so when sam (or not so often vincent) fuck up, she takes it personally because raising those two is the only thing she really does. if she sees herself as a failure there... then what as she spent her life doing (instead of travelling/having hobbies/etc)
kids naturally fuck up she learned through sam!! one of the things my mother told me all the time while growing up was that it was “her first time ever being a mother” and i think jodi would honestly... have those same thoughts. she’s tired and overworked and on top of that has to raise two boys as a ‘single mother’. i think she’d snap easily on sam from too much pressure, whether he was younger (by accident) or as he got older (on purpose). it seems like there’s little room for accidents on anyone else’s part in her house.
like sam’s four heart event. ignoring the obvious why-the-hell-are-you-handing-me-an-egg issue, sam very obviously drops the egg on accident, and jodi storms in and creates an issue out of it. which... it’s an accident. it seems out of character for sam to drop the egg on purpose and cause an issue for his MOTHER. obviously he does stuff that makes lewis mad on purpose, but he doesn’t do stuff like that to jodi. but she still gets upset over... his hand slipping.
and his ten heart event. why don’t we talk about that more often? from her dialogue its hinted at that she thought he was ... y’know... but still had said if i recall correctly!! “i’m coming in”. there was no question and it gives sam no option to tell her no. so it seems she has that kind of ‘control’ in their house where she can just invade sam’s privacy (granted.. she knocked but still) even when she thought he was doing THAT. idk i don’t like the “i’m coming in”... it seems like she is not giving sam the further consent for her to enter his room (or private space)
ok this is long i need to wrap this up but bottom line she loves her kids. of course she does! but i think sam definitely gets treated ‘worse’ and kinda has as the firstborn/oldest. jodi, with her kids, finally has some control of her life back since she is their mother and they have to listen to her. she doesn’t know exactly what she’s doing still, and once one of the boys (sam) messes up she takes it as a personal attack since the One thing she does in her life is be a mother. this was very long but thank u !!!! i love doing a lil character analysis
