here's the thing about playing around with generative "ai" aka applied statistics based on stolen data: even if it's just for teehee haha laughs and funtime for you, even if you're not using it to replace real talent in a professional setting, it's a tacit endorsement of these shady as fuck, unethical training models and companies that will happily use your teehee haha generated memes to sell their tech to others who will then happily replace real creative people with technology that seeks to undermine them and then have to rehire those people at half the pay and with none of the credit to fix the absolute sludge they're generating in place of a proper job. and that's the optimistic outcome because the alternative is they say "good enough" about this meaningless, lowest-common-denominator sludge and send it out to consumers as is.
even if you're just the consumer in this system and not one of the creatives getting undercut, why in the world would you want to read or watch or interact with something that no one could even be bothered to make themselves? why in the world would you want to encourage that future?

It's making me extremely worried to see all of these AI art tools capable of making 'art' that looks more and more human made as time goes by (which also is only possible because they were fed thousands of actual real artworks without the artists' permissions) and I can see companies taking advantage of these programs to avoid paying artists a single cent and ruin the livelihoods of so many people in the process.

pochettino saying he hasn't spoken to the chelsea owners in months is kinda going back to what i said after the 5-0 loss to arsenal, boehly is not the correct man to be owning a football club. if ur no longer speaking to the manager yet ur keeping him on then what's the point? ur clearly not happy hence no contact so sack him, mind u it's too late in the season to do anything but still
also chelsea's failures aren't just down to the mess higher ups, pochettino is a shit manager too u can't have a team that heavily reliant on one player (palmer) n play the way they did the other day

I had a guy from a nonprofit accuse me of getting enjoyment out of making things difficult for him because I couldn’t just remove taxes from his order. One of the sales tax regulations in his state specifically says he needs to pay for the order with nonprofit funds directly, but he wanted to pay with his own personal card. I explained to him that this information is on his tax exempt form and that by signing it and submitting it, he’s agreeing to those terms so if he does something differently, we’re required to charge sales tax. When I asked him if he had the tax exempt form on him, he said yes, but when I asked him to pull it up so I could show him where the information is, he claimed he couldn’t do this on his phone because he was driving 🙄 I gave him multiple other solutions, but he didn’t like any of them because they would take longer and he needed to place his order asap. He started talking about other companies would just do it for him when he tells them he’s tax exempt, and I hate when people do that because what am I suppose to do? I don’t work for them. I can’t make accusations about other companies. This is the biggest issue we have with nonprofits and it’s frustrating as hell when they start insulting you just because you say no. He told me that I’m deliberately making things harder than it needs to be and that I must enjoy doing this.

CAMP NANO DAY 8/9
(please see tags for trigger warnings)
[first three chapters] [AO3]
============<×^-^×>============
It had been a long time since Bruce had been this unbalanced by the thought of a conversation. He was unafraid to admit, if only to himself, that he was terrified about the kinds of things he'd hear from the young woman now sitting across from him. On the way to his office, he'd asked her if she felt safe and comfortable talking to him by herself, or if she'd prefer having his youngest adopted son sit in with them, and while she was understandably hesitant to let an unknown fifteen year old sit in on their discussion, he'd also seen the way she'd unconsciously relaxed when she saw Tim walk in.
"Before we start, my name is Timothy Drake-Wayne, please call me Tim, and you have permission to hug me, cling to me, cry on me, or even squeeze my hand tight enough to break it. Whatever you need to do to get through this discussion. I'll even leave for snacks if you need to say something intensely personal or that you feel I shouldn't hear," his son said with a small, supportive smile. Bruce was so proud of Tim, he'd come so very far since first coming to them. "I'm very well used to standing in as an emotional support person when a foster kid gets comfortable enough with Bruce to want to tell him exactly what happened wherever they'd been before coming here, and I'm perfectly content to keep doing so for as long as I live here."
Bruce watched as Jazz processed everything Tim said and caught the question in her gaze before she'd even opened her mouth to speak it. "Tim has decided he wants to work with CPS when he gets older, take his own experiences with the system and use them to help improve it. I do whatever I can to help him, to help any of the children who find themselves in my care, achieve his dreams," he explained softly, pride warming his heart and voice. "I'm not sure how well you remember him, but my first adopted son, Dick, recently decided to open his own gymnastics studio here in Gotham. His experience with you and Danny when you lived with us really left an impression."
Jazz nodded in understanding before glancing at Tim, reached for his hand, and took a fortifying breath. "My—the Fentons are… scientists, inventors, innovators, they—they discovered, independently, an entire species of interdimensional beings with incredible powers and such a rich mixture of cultures, and… and they decided those beings were unnatural, that they were evil and needed to be experimented on and exterminated. They created a portal to these beings' home dimension in our basement without following any sort of safety regulations or protocols." Jazz took another breath, swallowing as she looked down at hold on Tim's hand. "Th-the green on me and Danny when we first got here, it's called ectoplasm. It's basically the lifeblood of these beings, it makes up almost their entire bodies. Their dimension is full of it, as any excess they produce gets shed off into the environment around them.
"When the Fentons created their portal into the Infinite Realms, they didn't realize they'd installed a secondary switch that also needed to be flicked for the thing to work. A switch that was on the inside of the portal shaft and could only be reached by physically going inside it." She shuddered as she tried to bite back tears. "I wasn't home at the time. I was tutoring a fellow student in English at the local fast food joint. Danny was at home with his two best friends. Mom and dad had left the day before to track down the supposed "ghost" that had caused their magnum opus to fail to work. He should have been safe.
"I got a frantic phone call from Danny's friend, Tucker, telling me I needed to get home ASAP, that Danny'd had an accident and wasn't waking up. The student I was tutoring asked me what I was waiting for, to get going, and so I did. I—by the time I got back to the house, Sam and Tucker had managed to drag Danny away from the portal, but i-it was pretty obvious what the accident was, I mean… the portal hadn't been on before I left…"
Bruce had a bad feeling about where this story was going. He'd seen the product of lab accidents too often to be able to con himself into thinking it could be going in any other direction. He almost stopped her from continuing, but while she was very obviously distressed, the process of telling him, of telling them, seemed to actually be doing her some good, so he kept his silence and watched as she clenched Tim's hand even harder for a brief second before relaxing her grip almost entirely.
"Sam was fussing over Danny's prone form, trying to make him more comfortable on the steel flooring without moving him too much, while Tucker was pacing between the two of them and the swirling mass of green that was the portal when I got there. As soon as they saw me, Tucker was on me with tears in his eyes. "We thought he'd died," he said. "The screaming—we thought he was dead. We're so sorry, he could have died—we're so unbelievably sorry,"" Jazz quoted with a strained voice. "Sam's makeup was running from how much she was crying. Sam never cries, and there she was, kneeling over my barely breathing baby brother, nearly sobbing in terror and guilt. They—Sam had apparently dared Danny to go inside so they could get a picture, and while in there, Danny tripped, and he hit the secondary switch. The Fentons had apparently not turned the other switch off after the thing didn't work the first time, and Danny ended up paying the price of their stupidity. He was alive, he'd survived, but now he's rightfully terrified of anything to do with electricity above what comes out of your stranded wall outlet. Only, come to find out, Danny hadn't survived. Not entirely… not unchanged."
Knew it, Bruce thought wearily as he leaned back in his chair. He resisted the urge to rub his hand across his face or run it through his hair and instead just continued to listen to Jazz's tale.
"The combination of all that electricity running through him, killing him, as a portal made pretty much entirely of ectoplasm opened up literally right on top of him changed Danny on a molecular level. He's no longer fully human. He's now something called a halfa, half human and half… half ghost."
============<×^-^×>============
FINALLY got that finished! I sincerely apologize for not getting this out yesterday, I had to take a general health day due to both my lactose intolerance realizing, three days after the fact, that I'd eaten dairy and decided it didn't like that at all, and my sleep schedule being crap the past two days (-_-;) that's why today's post says "day 8/9", I'm counting it for both days since I *did* start writing it yesterday (^~^;)ゞ
For anyone reading this directly after day 6 but hasn't read any of the reblogs of day 6, this is actually chapter 4 of this fic, not chapter 2. I have two amazing co-writers who have each written an amazing chapter for this fic, which can be more easily read on AO3 by hitting the link up at the top!
Also, due to this fic having two co-writers for it, from now on, when I post a new chapter for it here on Tumblr, I won't be linking back to my previous chapter, since there will be two chapters between each of my own. Instead, I'll be linking back to the first post back on day 6 and to the AO3 version, where the entire fic will be readily available for reading.
Also also, because this is being co-written, any and all updates for this fic will be highly sporadic at best. Please don't harass me or my co-writers for quicker updates, we're all very busy people working together to write this purely for fun.
Have a wonderful morning/day/night everyone!

Tips from an autistic teacher about communicating with education professionals
So, some context: I taught Primary for 1 year, and had lots of interactions with parents with all kinds of concerns about their kids. I also remember being in high school and college/university and being too nervous to approach my teachers/tutors with any problems I had until the situation was dire.
For those who don't work in education, I can appreciate how needing to speak to your child's teacher about something can be intimidating, especially if your and/or your child are neurodivergent. And if you are a student, it can be equally as scary.
It's true many teachers are overworked and underpaid, but the vast VAST majority would move heaven and earth to help you. However, there are lots of things you can do to help them to help you, so here are my top tips.
Tell them ASAP if there is a problem - alerting the teacher to a problem or concern as soon as it arises gives them the chance to nip it in the bud before it becomes a big deal. If there is a bullying concern or something you don't understand, they would much rather you told them straight away so they can do something about it than have you or your child suffering in silence for weeks or months. We are generally an observant bunch and are looking out for issues, but some things do fly under the radar. Even if it's not something they can do anything about straight away - like if you think your child is showing signs of autism or adhd but they mask heavily at school - they can bear this in mind and pass it onto other relevant members of staff so it is 'flagged' up for the future.
If your issue is complicated, be sure to put it in writing - chances are you have access to a messaging service or at least an email address. Even if you have raised your concern with the teacher face to face, having it in writing is helpful for both parties. It provides a record that the issue has been raised and passed along as appropriate, and it helps remind the teacher about what has been discussed so they don't end up forgetting about it among the million other things they have to do.
Be specific - it may seem obvious, but there is no point in having a casual chat and then throwing in a bombshell at the end. Make sure to give as much relevant detail as you can about what your issue is, and if you want to raise multiple concerns then it is doubly beneficial to put them in writing.
Think about what your desired outcome is and come with a proposed solution - this is a psychological thing, apparently, but people are more likely to be sympathetic to your concerns if you can demonstrate you have thought about how you would like it resolved. If you want your child put forward for an autism assessment, make sure you actually say this. If you know you are going to be late handing in an assignment but can give your teacher an alternative date you will hand it in, tell them this. I can't guarantee they will always be able to fulfil it, but knowing what you would like to change or happen makes it much easier to sort things out rather than just guessing.
IF THERE'S SOMETHING GOING ON OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL THAT'S HAVING A NEGATIVE IMPACT, TELL THEM!!! - I CANNOT stress this enough, especially when it comes to little ones or neurodivergent children who may have limited means of both communication and emotional regulation. Being hungry, tired, stressed etc can have an enormous impact on behaviour/ability to learn. Even a simple message or email giving the heads up your child has had a poor night's sleep because the house flooded or whatever and might be a bit grumpy that day can be a huge help to the teacher, who as a result of having this information will be in a better position to be patient with a child who is struggling. For bigger life changes such as divorce, birth of a new sibling etc, this is even more important so that your child's teacher and the school can, if necessary, put measures in place to support your child through this transition. Communication really is key.
Remember to be kind and considerate - teachers are humans and make mistakes like everyone else. Equally, there are many circumstances they have to deal with that are totally out of their control and frustrate them just as much as they do you. As I said at the beginning, the vast majority want to help you and/or your child in any way they can, and being kind can make what is a very stressful job just that little bit less.
So, there you have it! I hope these tips gave you an idea for how to communicate with teachers effectively.
Oh, here's 1 more bonus tip - if you have anything to ask that is more than just a quick question, be sure to schedule a meeting with the teacher to ensure they can devote enough time to deal with your issue. Catching them at the beginning or end of the school day generally isn't a good idea as they're very chaotic times and they likely have other meetings/appointments/deadlines they will be thinking about.
Your support is much appreciated xx

Mama's Boy - Chapter 1
Simon "Ghost" Riley x Petra "Mama" Mayfield
Next Chapter
The buzzing of her phone made her groan. Green eyes opened to glare at the glowing red numbers on her alarm clock. 0200. She’d only just crawled into bed about twenty minutes ago.
A tired hand snatched the phone off her nightstand, hitting the answer call button and holding the phone to her ear.
“Mayfield..” she mumbled, still half asleep pulling herself up onto her elbow and trying to blink sleep away.
“Mama,”a gruff male voice with an accent answered. Petra sat up, awake in an instant hearing her callsign. “We need you. ASAP.”
It took a moment for the voice to register in her brain. Captain Price. Shit. It was never good news when he called. Petra’s feet hit the floor as she tucked the phone against her shoulder and searched for her uniform, pulling it on just as quickly.
“Big guy?” she asked, already knowing the answer. Price wouldn’t be calling her if it wasn’t.
“A-firm,” the captain said. “He’s already walking his stubborn ass back to his bunk.”
Of course he was.
“Two minutes Captain,” Petra said. She hung up after that, taking an old scrunchie to tie her dirty blonde curls back with, it wasn't regulation but she didn’t have time for that.
---
Exactly two minutes later, Petra is banging loudly on the door of the soldier she’d been woken up to deal with. It was a miracle no one else stepped into the hall to see what was going on, though she suspected the rest of the team already knew. She impatiently tapped her boot on the concrete floor for only a few seconds before opening the door.
“Lieutenant!” she barked. She saw him there, half leaned against his bed, removing his gear. A balaclava clad head turned to look at her, the skull plate that was typically worn over it still in his hand. Ghost was, well, large. He stood head and shoulders over Petra's head and she swore it was a miracle he fit through any door on base. He looked like shit even in the dark. Petra turned the light on, revealing just how bad it was.
Lieutenant Ghost, hunched over, was covered in blood, a gash in his side the source of it all. Petra’s hand flew to the zipper on the medical pack she’d carried with her, the other hand slamming his door shut behind her as she stomped inside.
“Sit.” she ordered, the far larger man quietly obeying, sitting on the bed with a grunt. The medic wasted no time making her way to him. She could feel his heavy gaze on her as she knelt at his side, watching her every move.
“M’fine,” he said quietly before being silenced by the small blonde digging through her pack.
“Shut the hell up,” she said. Petra was furious seeing such a serious wound that he’d apparently thought could go without treatment. She pressed a sterile cotton pad to the wound, applying pressure to stem the bleeding. Ghost clenched his jaw at the pain in his side. “Blade or bullet?”
“Shrapnel,” he said in that damned British accent, she could feel the scowl behind his mask as his eyes still bore into her. The medic’s only response was a sharp exhale through her nose. That accounted for the size at least.
She lifted the cotton pad, now stained dark red with his blood, the wound was long and broad, being about as long as her hand against his side. It didn’t matter how well she treated it, it would scar. Not that it made much difference on Ghost, he was already covered in more scars than even he could count. Thankfully though, the bleeding had slowed significantly. That was a relief.
She moved to her pack again, this time producing a clean cotton pad and a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, she dampened the pad and listened to the hiss that escaped the lieutenant as she cleaned the gash. Petra quietly offered words of comfort, the way she often did with recruits that came to her with far less serious injuries on her last base. She didn’t look up to see the disapproving look in his dark eyes.
Once it was cleaned, Petra found the wound, despite how large it appeared, was shallow enough that stitches wouldn’t do it any good. She carefully bandaged it, being sure not to wrap it too tightly around Ghost's ribs.
“There,” she said, giving him one last look over. “That should do ya..”
“Thanks doc,” he said quietly. She could've sworn he sounded tired.
“You know I was finally getting some sleep when Price called,” she said, starting to put her supplies away. “A full week of round the clock work down at the clinic and the moment I finally curl up in bed, I have to come hunt you down because- for some reason! You thought you could just sleep this off??” Petra stood, adjusting the pack over her shoulder again and placing a hand on her hip. “You could've died, you know? Bled out and shit.”
Ghost was quiet, he almost always was, as Petra ranted at him. Telling him what an idiot he was for refusing medical attention. She reminded him of a small dog, barking up at the larger breeds simply for existing. Her uniform was disheveled, hastily put on he gathered, and her hair was only half in the bright pink scrunchie that attempted to hold it back. She still looked like the fiery medic he too often heard reaming out Gaz after the sergeant fell out of a helicopter and somehow survived for the second time since she arrived on base.
“You look tired Mama.”
Ghost's voice cut through her rambling, halting it. Petra stared at him, fire still in her eyes. She groaned, wiping a hand down her face.
“Just… make sure you get the bandage checked in the morning,” was all she said as she stalked out of the room, slamming the door as she left. She fished her phone from her pocket. 0245. If she was lucky she could get back to bed and get some sleep if she skipped a morning shower.
---
The next day Petra felt like her boots were filled with lead as she counted supplies in the clinic. She was at least slightly more out together than she'd been last night, her hair in a more reasonable bun and her uniform straight, though the bags under her eyes gave away her exhaustion. Supply counting was tedious and only made it harder to stay awake.
The medic found herself reminiscing about simpler days as she made notations of what would need to be ordered. Standing on a regular old base, in a regular old clinic with a full team of medics to work with as recruits and trained soldiers alike came and went with nothing more than a few scrapes and bruises. Days where she could find sleep easily and often. Nothing like the task force’s base. Here she was basically alone, caring for the team of five and the clinic with nothing but the faint ringing in her ears to keep her company. Petra made a mental note to petition Price for a second medic.
She didn't hear the heavy boot falls as they came up behind her and a gloved hand placed a Styrofoam cup of coffee on the counter in front of her. Petra looked up, finding a familiar pair of deep brown eyes staring back at her from behind a balaclava decorated with a skull.
“You still look tired,” Ghost grumbled. He didn't look so great himself, though he hid it far better than Petra did. In place of his black combat gear, he wore an equally dark hoodie and jeans. Must be nice to have days off to dress casually.
Petra chewed the inside of her cheek, biting back the bitter thought. She glanced down at the coffee he delivered. Black, probably no sugar. A rare kindness.
“Thanks,” she mumbled, placing the clipboard she'd been holding down next to it. “Let's look at that bandage.”
She waved him over to a chair and Ghost sat quietly, lifting the hoodie so Petra could inspect her work from the previous night. The bandaging looked hastily done and sloppy, but no worse than when she’d had to tend wounds in the middle of a gunfight. She chewed the inside of her cheek as she removed the layers of gauze and medical tape. At the very least, she'd properly cleaned it. The gash still looked fresh but it was clean and it didn't bleed much after she bandaged it.
“We'll need to keep redressing it over the next few days,” she noted to herself aloud. Petra stood and turned to her cabinets of supplies. “How's the pain?”
“Can hardly feel it,” Ghost replied, this time not looking in her direction. She was grateful for that this time.
When she was finished redressing the wound, he had turned to look at her again, quickly looking away when she noticed. The medic turned, disposing of her gloves in a bin nearby.
“I don’t need to offer you a lollipop like I do for Roach, do I?”
Petra smirked, almost certain that had earned her a chuckle from the usually serious Ghost, but the only hint she received was the way his eyes crinkled behind the balaclava.
“I’m starting to understand where you got your name from,” He rumbled, the tiniest hint of humor in his voice. He stood up to his full height, stepping just a little closer to her. She barely came up to his shoulder. “You really worry about us.”
“Someone’s got to Ghost,” Petra replied, her tone softening. She had to shuffle half a step back to look up at him and not just stare at his broad chest. “Besides, what kind of medic would I be if I didn’t care for my soldiers?”

Drinking Water & Staying Hydrated
On this account we cover how to do things that are "common sense" for the people who dont know. Shame-free. Today, we'll be covering some tips and tricks for drinking more water when you're unmotivated to or simply forget.
If you were to ever find yourself lost in the wilderness, the first thing you would wanna look for ASAP is a source of water. Humans need around 8 glasses (~2L) of water a day that our bodies can function right! It's very important, as dehydration can lead to constipation, kidney stones, overheating, exhaustion and generally a really bad mood!
Water helps to..
• keep your joints flexible
• regulate your temperature
• clean your insides via sweat/urination
• digest, salivate, transport nutrients
• carrying oxygen to your cells
• maintaining electrolyte balance
And much more. We're made up of around 60% water, after all. Though, drinking that much water every day can be a very tiresome chore for many of us, especially those who struggle with executive dysfunction and mental illness. Never fear: we've compiled a big list of little actions you can take that might help you drink a little bit more water in a day. Don't worry if 2 liters of water sounds like a big step! Even a few sips more makes a big difference. Progress is not linear!
────────────
1) Switch it up - Water is obviously tasteless and for many people this deters them from staying hydrated when they could opt for something more sweet or exciting like a juice or soda. Luckily, there are dozens of ways to spice up your drinks. Hundreds of artificial flavorings exist; MiO, Sunkist, Starburst and other more affordable off brand water enhancers can transform your drink into something more flavorful. Whether you want something tart like lemonade, savory like iced tea or sweet like fruit punch, there's an enhancer that will fit your taste.
If you would prefer something more natural, there's countless recipes for fruit infused water. Cucumbers, lemon slices and mint can give your water that subtle boost you need to encourage hydration. Below we'll link some recipes if you'd like to try them.
For some people, its not so much the taste, but more so the texture. If you're a soda lover, opt for some sparkling water instead, flavored or unflavored. Brands like LaCroix, Sparkling Ice and Bubly can all give you the same smooth sipping of a soft drink while helping you meet your water quota for the day.
If none of these sound like something you're interested in, you can always opt for making tea instead, hot or iced. If you like cold drinks, you could make a whole pitcher and keep it in your fridge for easy access, whether its chamomile, matcha or plain old Lipton.
2) Make it fun - Making yourself genuinely want to do something is a great way to tackle executive dysfunction. If you're able and open to spending some extra money, buying yourself a fun new water bottle can make you want to use it and carry it with you. Personalization is another way to make a new water bottle even more fun or enhance one you already have. Add dishwasher safe stickers, customized beaded/braided handles and marked timestamps.
A free, more low effort alternative to make drinking water fun is to download an app such as Plant Nanny. Its premise is simple - drink water and in return you water an adorable plant in app. With your help, they'll grow up and you can slowly collect them all. Its a bright, colorful, interactive game that will help you visualize your needs and be rewarded for taking care of them.
3) Eat your water - If the action of drinking is something you struggle with, opt for eating water-rich foods. On top of being a great way to meet your water goals, it comes with more nutrients, vitamins and fiber than regular water while leaving you feeling filled. Below are some fruits and veggies you can snack on that will leave you feeling more hydrated.
Cucumber - 96% water
Celery - 95% water
Spinach - 93% water
Watermelon - 91% water
Cantaloupe - 90% water
And much more!
For something more fun, you can always make some popsicles with coconut water (94% water) and fruit. Pop those in the freezer and have delicious ice pops ready to go in a few hours.
4) Reminders and Encouragement - If you dont have an issue with drinking water but you often forget, a gentle push in the right direction may be all you need. Ask your friends or family for motivation and reminders. You can even challenge them or work towards goals together! Theres nothing better than some friendly competition.
Apps like Waterminder, Waterllama and Habit Tracker can all send reminders to your phone and help you track your progress. If you dont want to download an app, you can always just set some alarms as well. Plant Nanny, as mentioned above, is a fun alternative to this that brings gaming into the picture.
5) Passive Influence - Making some small changes to your routine can make drinking water passively a lot easier. Keep your water bottle on you, carry it from room to room, that way its always easily accessible when you're thirsty.
Switch out your regular snacks for something spicy or salty. Get a bowl of pretzels and a glass of water at the same time and you'll find yourself drinking it with ease. Potato chips, lays, fries or salted nuts are all great options.
If you cant find yourself able to replace your regular beverage with water, challenge yourself to drink a glass of water before you have one. Keep water bottles (plastic or reusable) next to your regular drink in the fridge so you remember to grab both. Another quick way to get some added hydration is adding extra ice to what you usually drink. About 8 cubes is a cup of water!
Always get a glass of water before bed so you have something to sip on, and in case you wake up feeling thirsty. Its a good habit to also get a glass of water right when you wake up. Thats already knocked two glasses out of the way for the day.
Another great idea as a passive, unscheduled reminder, is to drink water every time you use the bathroom. Theres no shame in leaving your water bottle in there as a gentle reminder when you walk in.
────────────
Most importantly, more important than drinking 8 glasses of water a day, is to be gentle with yourself. Its okay if you struggle with drinking even one glass a day. Just trying to take small steps in the right direction takes a lot of strength. Try some of these tips out, even if you don't think they'll work for you. Who knows, one might change your relationship with water before you know it!

Ferrari need to get their shit up asap because with the amount of street tracks being introduced, our favorite dutchman could be retiring as soon as... 2026??? (Jk) I know we were all saying this as a joke, but charles leclerc in fast car could actually be the one thing keeping max from retiring
Ahhhhh not Max retiring 😬 Hopefully that is not 2026!! Although I now like to think of it as Max retiring from F1 and not retiring altogether because he is definitely going to be getting involved with other racing series. It will be incredible and exciting to get to see what he can do and for him to show off his talents in stuff like endurance. Honestly I can't wait to see what overall racing legacy he will create so when the day comes that he says goodbye to F1 I am sure we will have so much excitement left to come from him.
But in regards to Max v Charles - I just really hope we get a few seasons where we can really see them battling it out. They both see each other as their 'rival' and I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean it really positively. I remember at the start of 2022 how excited they both seemed to be about their battles and I think they are friendly enough and respectful enough now to really relish the challenge of trying to beat each other week in week out.
Who knows what will happen this year or next - Ferrari might start catching Red Bull (particularly towards the end of this year and into 2025) but in 2026 with the new regulations its going to be a whole new playing field so maybe we will get that epic rivalry that they seem destined to have (and I am sure they will both love it)
But I agree with you - we need a super competitive Charles keeping Max on his toes to counterbalance the street tracks and sheer amount of races!!
Thanks for the ask anon ♥️

it's good to see you around again, I missed reading your long ILY posts, hope you're doing better too :) if you ever share your thoughts on the latest couple of episodes (including fp) here, I'd be super excited to read them! I'm really curious how you think the timeline is gonna go from here - especially relating to Shin-Ae and Nolan since it feels like they are the last pieces that need to fall into place so everything is ready for the post-timeskip story to go down. like you, I was so sure Nol and Shin-Ae were going to have some kind of reconciliation before he goes to jail but WELP rip 3 day extension. Poor guy though, Yui showing up in his hospital room must have been extremely triggering, it made sense that he did everything to get outta there ASAP. It's worrying me that this series of negative interactions (Kousuke, Alyssa, Yui) could've undone everything positive Shin-Ae Dieter Soushi Nana did, and now therapy during jail time could either have a positive or negative effect, so Nol is a Schroedinger's cat for now.... At least some things got cleared up and Shin-Ae is now starting to understand the root of the problem (= Yui) (and it actually really makes sense that she had to figure it out herself instead of Nol telling her - the boy obviously isn't ready to talk) so we made some progress.... But istg with this upcoming separation arc 2.0 it feels so much like we're gonna be back at ground zero after the first time skip. Fingers crossed they reconcile in whatever way before the big time skip though. we need a somewhat positive conclusion to this arc before season 1 ends, because if not then what was all this build up for, and why now? What about the realizations? the "convince me"? What about "if you won't let me have you"? If their reconciliation is only going to happen after multiple years of "conflict" between them that would be so cruel....
AND SHIN-AE STILL HASN'T GOTTEN HER BANDANA BACK and now he's stealing her lines too SDGDADSF;SDF
Waaaahhhhh thank you, friend!!! As you can probably tell, I'm still trying to get myself back here fully and figure out how to balance everything, which has always been a struggle ;~; I really may resort to telling my friends to ignore me and yell at me until I get certain posts written up so I'll stop procrastinating because there are SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT EPISODES I WANT TO RECAP AND TALK ABOUT!!!! BUT THE ORGANIZING MYSELF!!!! IS THE PART THAT'S SO DIFFICULT!!!!!!!!
One of the great things about the ILY discord server is that we have this very constant, active conversation going on at all times so it's SO easy to be very present and active, but I also find that it means it's more difficult for me to regulate myself, or I'll have that feeling that I JUST talked about something and so when I try to write about it over here, it feels like a hollow echo and I know that's just because I was just having the conversation so that's just something I need to work on dealing with lol
But I want to answer this before we move so far away from when you asked this!!!!! As expected, there are FP spoilers ahead for eps 246 through 249!!!!!
I!!!! DO NOT KNOW!!!!!!! LMAO Like. GOD. I feel like quimchee has thrown us curveball after curveball and when we sit down and think about how long this period of December 21 and the post December 21 arc has been, how much the story has weaved around?! There are so many things that have occurred that I NEVER expected and, like you, it's just everything I thought has clearly gone out the window. Part of it, I think, is the result of quimchee having to change the arrangement of her story, and god I would love to pick her brain about the things that changed, since Nol's injury was supposed to happen at the formal itself, we never would have had this extended period of hospital time, and it seems like everything about Nol and Shinae coming to realization with their feelings would have played out in a wholly different way than what we ended up getting, so on some level I think this is partly that quimchee, too, is sort of throwing herself cureveballs in that there are things she knows needs to happen and she isn't sure where or how to fit the other elements in? But that's just my guess.
On the one hand, I do feel very "WHAT WAS THE EXTENSION FOR IF NOT FOR RECONCILIATION?!" but beyond Stalkyoo, we have gotten a LOT of good stuff out of this period of time. We see Kousuke facing his cognitive dissonance for, perhaps, the first time, and the revelation that Yui has been drugging him (and likely for a long time, given the way Hansuke describe the dosage Kousuke had and that it merely knocked him out), and more than that, making those connections between Nol and Yui and tea, and wanting to face him. I'm STILL proud of him for wanting to go back and see Nol again, even after he couldn't face him, even after Hansuke found him on the floor of a public bathroom hugging a toilet from the remorse and guilt and perhaps shame of the realization of the ways he has hurt people - has hurt Nol! - who didn't deserve it. We have seen that Rand and Yujing are, in fact, working on something behind the scenes, that Rand is facing Yui as a real adversary now, not just someone who has been resigned to endure her for so many years now, but to actually fight against her. The entirety of Nol's birthday celebration could not have happened the way it did had he not been in the hospital, since he would have had to turn himself in, and while maybe the original plan was that they celebrated his birthday with Minhyuk's coming home party, I'm.... not sure if that would have been the case?
But at at any rate, I do acknowledge that despite the fact that it feels like Nol might be back at square one, that he and Shinae are back where they started in 151, such significant events HAVE taken place that I think will still affect the narrative future of ILY. I still feel strongly that part of Nol's trajectory is coming to terms with the fact that he does, indeed, belong here. That he isn't someone who wasn't meant to be, that he doesn't belong here. He belongs, and he deserves love. He is someone, not nothing. I still think one of his greater arcs will involve coming to embrace this, and while the negative events - Kousuke, Alyssa, Yui - feel like they could be setting him back, he is now equipped with knowledge and feelings he wasn't before. It can't hurt him the same. In fact, I think part of why his confrontation with Alyssa went the way it did was because he had had this experience with Shinae, Dieter, and Soushi, it illuminated everything that was so wrong with his relationship with Alyssa, how neither of them really know each other. It's that sense of foiling that allows him to put his foot down and say enough is enough. Even before it was revealed that Alyssa had come with Yui, it was clear that Nol was over the visit. Don't get me wrong - I understand why he couldn't see that Alyssa clearly was not well, that she was uncomfortable, that she had come to him with no one else to go to, much as he'd gone to Kousuke in the past when he lost his mom, and I also understand why he did the same thing Kousuke did and turned her away. But the point I'm getting at is, it feels like there was a shift. That birthday celebration illuminated something for Nol.
So it's kind of like, while it feels like this might have undone the progress Nol made, it can't undone the revelations he's had, and in that same way, it cannot cast shadow on his enlightenment. He is not the same Nol he was a week ago. Too much has changed, he's become aware of too much, and as such, he is going to respond differently to what comes his way, and while he may continue to try what he had originally intended, I think the difference is that he's now been made aware of things that impact the choices he makes.
But largely I don't really know what I expect just yet. I think it's very pointed that the lawyer reminded Shinae that she has his phone number; I don't think that would be called out if it wasn't going to be important in some way, but in terms of how are we going from here to there? Unsure lol. I think there HAS to be a resolution of some kind, whether it's a reconciliation or not, because Shinae is on this momentum swing that isn't going to stop until she crashes into something or she comes into a force of nature that stops her. Nothing, no one, has been able to reach her or get through to her, and I know it's just because of how much she's hurting, but she's lashing out at people and hurting THEM like a street cat swiping at people trying to help her. She's so terrified of losing Nol, especially now that he came back, especially now that she gave him the option to leave and he didn't and it rekindled that hope she gave him an opening to leave when it would have been easier and he didn't which just made it worse, because so much more was at stake. She can't stop fighting she can't stop trying because she cannot bear what it means to lose him for real this time, not when she finally had him back, not when that realization has come to her even if she won't admit it. She needs him, so what's going to make her give up?
Something has to transpire, whether it's a reconciliation or Nol pushing her away and really shattering her heart or something awful like that, to bring her to a halt, because I can't imagine how we would move into our mini time skip to spring/graduation with Shinae like this, right? So I think there must be some kind of resolution. My foolish, hopeless self wants so badly to hope for reconciliation but esp after 249 I am SO torn. I have two thoughts.
a. they reconcile. She can reach him, and convince him, and even though he is so afraid, he is also someone who folds in front of her, he struggles to resist her. He told her to convince him and boy she can convince him and even though he tells himself he isn't sure if these feelings are real because what if it's just because she's NICE to him I think hearing her confess her feelings would tell him how he feels and give him the answer.
b. But the alternative feels like a parallel to Nessa and Rand, because Nessa, too, was hurt over and over by someone who kept getting her hopes up and getting hurt by him. Shinae gave Nol the opportunity to leave and he didn't, he stayed and doing so sparked her hope, made her feel things, they shared these tender, intimate moments together and forced that realization to come to mind, but for him to push her away again, for her safety, to make choices on her behalf even though she's told him she hates that and she doesn't want him to. Imagine her pulling a Nessa and calling him scum lfkjajkfkjfjkfaj ;A;!!!!! Imagine her so angry and hurt and resentful and saying awful things she doesn't mean and GOD I feel like it can go only one of these ways because what ELSE is going to stop her in her tracks?!
And I really want a reconciliation because parting like this sets them up for SO. MUCH. STRIFE. Because we know one way or another Shinae is going to end up taking Yui's offer and if Nol leaves on these terms, he would end up thinking she's following in Alyssa's footsteps doing so, not understanding WHY she's doing, not understanding that this is Shinae's only way of protecting herself, learning to speak Yui's language and play her game.
and idk I know I'm a hopeful optimist reading a webtoon that proves to me over and over that I cannot be a hopeful optimist but LMAO GOD I WANT SHINAE TO CONVINCE THAT DUMBO
I've said it before that convincing him doesn't mean they have to get into a relationship. Just. Reconcile. She's so afraid of LOSING HIM, thinking that once he slips away he's out of her grasp, her sight, for good, that she will lose the best thing that happened to her and I WANT THAT RECONCILATION. I want her to convince him, for both their sakes. So that he knows he has someone he can go back to. So that she knows he's not just throwing her away. So that she doesn't have to fear losing something so precious and important.
Am I foolish and hopeful for hoping for that outcome? Maybe, but it won't stop me LMAO because as delicious and angsty as Shinae and Nol following in Ressa's footsteps with Nol hurting her again and leaving her so hurt and angry is, I want to see them on that same page. I want to see Shinae convince him - convince him why he is so important to her, and that his feelings are real. That's the thing, right, like.... you can tell yourself that your feelings aren't real, but if the person you like confesses to you, your heart will inevitably betray you and respond to the confession. Nol fears for Shinae's safety but important puzzle pieces are falling into place. She has figured what he fears the most - and if she thinks hard enough she'll realize how she can use that to her "advantage", in that Rand has told her Yui will never let her go, that it doesn't matter if Nol leaves or not. It goes back to my oft repeated sentiment of them needing to be on the same page, to be a team, because his absence will not protect her. And between what Rand told her, plus her anecdotes about Kousuke's birthday and how Yui treated her even before the formal, and what Yujing told Nol about Kousuke being drugged by Yui, maybe, just MAYBE that conclusion that wasn't only him all along will finally hit him. I know he can't change over night, that he has so many deeply ingrained fears that won't be easily assuaged, but I have to hope that a confession from Shinae can convince him that the alternative is worse. Convince him to fight along side her ;A;
I go back and forth on this thought but I think this is strongly what I feel right now. That reconciliation could still be around the corner, even if it's just an admission and a promise to not push her away. Shinae is tired of people acting on her behalf, tired of not getting a say, and especially in something that involves her heart, her feelings?
Go fight girl and maybe bite him if that's what it takes ;A;
STEALING HER BANDANA. HER LINES. HERT HEART. THIS MAN DESERVES TO BE LOCKED AWAY

Employers in ND Games Rated By Likelihood of an OSHA Violation
On a scale of 1-10, a 10 meaning holy shit OSHA needs to intervene ASAP and a 1 meaning I would generally be fine working here. Also I just took Employment Law so I’m gonna be that nitpicky person that recognizes that only employees, not independent contractors, are subject to OSHA regulations.
SCK1: The pliers being used to fix a gas leak later swapped with a ladle is not a great solution, but what’s more concerning is what kind of godforsaken gas is coursing through the veins of that kitchen that if he doesn’t have something supporting it for 3 seconds the ENTIRE building is engulfed in flames? Are they cooking on a stove using methane gas? 9/10
SCK-Remastered: Organizing all those unrelated books is probably a pain in the ass for Aunt Eloise but not a safety risk. Getting pistol whipped by your “boss” who isn’t even an actual cop probably sucks but Nancy was functioning more as an independent contractor. I don’t remember what happens in the boiler room exactly, but I don’t think the chains on it were by design, and there was definitely a way to cool that place off if needed, so no -major- hazard. 4/10
STFD: The ability to lock that soundstage so that not even security or the fire department can get in is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The threats and stuff that Rick get probably don’t matter because he’s an independent contractor (although -maybe- an employee if he’s getting contracted season after season??), but the security overall is sus given how easily Owen Spayder snuck in. Imagine if they had some kind of sexual harassment complaint and the offender is just showing up to work under a fake identity. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dwayne was doing that already as Owen. 8/10
MHM: Everyone’s probably an independent contractor so honestly OSHA probably wouldn’t even care about that questionable chandelier. The biggest hazard in the place is asking people about gum bo fu but that seems more of an interpersonal than work environment problem. 1/10
TRT: The spinning 3-step-bridge that those chains to get into the tower activate seems like a disaster. I don’t even know where that pit goes. To the laundry facility? Also the obvious steps sliding that gets Lisa at the end. But if you keep all but the most trained employees out of the tower area and elevator shaft the rest of the place is just a hotel. 3/10
FIN: The rickety lights aren’t great, but the place was gonna get torn down anyway. The wardrobes that lead to each other seems like a sexual harassment claim waiting to happen, the literal actual guillotine could cause some problems, and what the fuck was that cooler that Maya is in at the end? Nothing major that couldn’t be fixed, but as is I’d like some investigation. 5/10
SSH: Hahahah that fucking rock solid structure with stairs with no hand railings and then you walk outside and there’s still no railings even on the BRIDGE over WATER and then it makes you walk around in the dark?? Who is the poor employee who has to restock those glowsticks when they run out? Or someone drips a lil bit of water out of their water bottle onto the stairs? When they make the staff schedule for this place they better factor in the regular trips to Nurse Bluefoot’s because everyone’s gonna be getting head injuries. 9/10
DOG: We still don’t fucking know what Ranger Akers really does for work, Emily seems to run her own basic retail business, idk how Red Knott is funding his escapades. I’m gonna hope that Mickey Malone had his employees enter through the non-graveyard route that wasn’t pitch black, but I’m also really loving the idea of a speakeasy employee snitching on OSHA because they’re not getting enough bathroom breaks or something. (OSHA wasn’t formed until the 70s) 1/10
CAR: After working at a theme park this game is extra funny but like the very concept that these pieces of actual heavy machinery could just be activated at inopportune moments by a single user? Even non-malicious employees could end up fucking murdering each other because there’s no secondary accountability to these machines. Shut this place down and redesign every ride holy shit. 9/10
DDI: I doubt OSHA would figure out how to get into the tunnels from the Hot Kettle. I don’t even know who’s really in charge of the lighthouse but I think as long as they got decent training it’s not an issue. Katie’s boat and Whale World are probably fine unless Katie sends employees down to slip on the thawing fish water. 1/10
SHA: I think….all is fine? The fucked up chicken has a clear warning, the horses are taken care of by someone who’s definitely competent, Shorty’s food is probably ass but I don’t think it’s like a medical hazard. I don’t know what the fuck Mary uses to polish agates but I assume she wears proper eye wear. 0/10
CUR: The only person working a job here is Ethel, who is probably independently contracted, but I don’t think she has anything to bitch about except Nancy going down a slide and walking out of a door. 0/10
CLK: Tubby Telegrams was like the original Postmates (so, independent contractor). The tetanus nail “tip” Nancy gets isn’t great but not worth looking into. Jim Archer’s bank is vanilla as hell. We don’t get to see any of the Lilac Inn’s dining area or kitchen. What we know about the kitchen is that it fully burns down if someone leaves the stove on, but it was the 30s so was anything really safe? 0/10
TRN: Let’s maybe assume John Grey is actually an “employee” and he’s there to find ghosts for his TV show. If so, he gets a sweet ass ENTIRE CAR to himself. The engineer has nothing to complain about. I think Fatima, the mortician at the crypt who jizzes himself over Camille’s, and any and all employees at the Copper Fork seem to be working in similar conditions to your standard fast food place. 0/10
DAN: Within 3 seconds of walking into her new job, Nancy gets a plant pot thrown at her head and is expected to act like it’s no big deal. She has to pick up cockroaches which is nasty but not a health risk (I think?). Getting kicked in the titty by your boss probably violates some rights, as is the questionable reimbursement policy regarding items haggled for at Pont Neuf. 6/10
CRE: Contrary to popular sentiment, Big Island Mike’s Immersion Excursion is not a sweat shop, but is in fact a vacation experience for the whole family (just like a sweat shop). No one knows what the hell is happening at the HilliHilli but those protective suits seem like they’re probably keeping people safe, though there’s always the lingering possibility of the Hilli HIlli Homeboy himself losing his shit on you. Dr. Kim just has you pick up bug poop which is fair given you’re working with a bug doctor. I wish there was some place at her camp to wash your hands, but we can’t have everything, can we. 4/10
ICE: The strangely unsupervised and unquestioned use of firearms by Ollie is conce
(that’s all I had written for ICE in the Google Doc I found. I’m laughing because honestly I think it sums it up pretty well so I’m just gonna leave it. I don’t know why that was the only one left incomplete)
CRY: There’s pretty much no employees in this game, since Renee is independently contracted and everyone else seems to be their own boss. Even if Lamont has a couple of employees that place doesn’t seem like it screams safety hazard, even though the sink is kinda gross. 0/10
HAU: Also no employees but maybe Donal has some sort of agreement where he sells his soul to be able to wank off around the Good People on a weekly basis. Giant chunks missing from a building aren’t great, but that sheep shearer seems to have some pretty good guards and safeties on it. The bar is just a bar. 4/10
RAN: Yet again no real employees. Maybe the monkeys work for each other? I would say their conditions are safe for monkeys, but I don’t know how they get up to the top of that cliff and communicate to those at the top to stop chucking rocks for a second for the next shift to climb up and swap out.  2/10
WAC: Paige seems to have a pretty sweet set up even though her hours are wonky and she has to be wandering around the building at godforsaken hours to catch other people wandering around the building at godforsaken hours. It’s not great that the training for the snack shop it’s just a three-ring binder but it also isn’t like there’s crazy tools involved. 2/10
TOT: The volume of electronic equipment Nancy is asked to fix with no prior training is pretty dangerous, especially when she’s asked to fix an actual literal electrical socket. We know Scott was sending people out into storms they weren’t supposed to be in so I’d say even in the storm chasing industry this team was not following generally accepting procedures. 8/10
SAW: Given that someone literally died by slipping and falling accidentally (allegedly) while cleaning the baths I’d say there’s definitely some unsafe protocols at the Ryokan. Some more railings around the garden would probably be ideal, as would maybe at least a sign by that fire in the middle of the lobby. 7/10
CAP: I don’t know how to classify the tunnels and the forest because I think Nancy is warned to not go into them whatsoever and just disregards that guidance, so I’m not sure the castle as an employer is responsible. The only person really put at risk is Lukas and he’s not an employee so OSHA wouldn’t give a fuck. 3/10
ASH: Again, a lot of people who are their own employers. Also just like a not super dangerous game in general? It’s just a town and there was an arson but that doesn’t have to do with the working conditions, but everything else seems to be up to par for the 21st century. 0/10
TMB: Idk why the fuck the scaffolding collapsed but maybe we should investigate that. Also random cobras? And sand storms? And Egyptian death traps? Fortunately this game takes place outside of the US so OSHA doesn’t have to worry about this(yes I’m being arbitrary with which games I don’t care about because of their non-US location), plus I assume most were independently contracted anyway. ???/10
DED: I mean Nancy wasn’t supposed to go into the lab and start sticking her hands in all those chemicals. Like all things considered it seems like the people authorized to access the dangerous things generally have adequate training to do so. Yeah, a dude got murdered using that equipment, but maybe if they just included a safety or required turning on the coil to be a two person job that could’ve been prevented. 2/10
GTH: The Thornton business really did have its own Triangle Fire so that’s basically the gold standard for “holy shit we need government oversight here.” I don’t really know where the employees are supposed to have been working but since everyone seems to have seen spooky things on the island I’ll assume everyone was within reach of the carbon monoxide, which is an obvious hazard. 10/10
SPY: To the degree that Nancy did work for a terrorist organization she was independently contracted, as probably everyone else was. I don’t really know how OSHA works in terms of national security related government jobs where the idea is you know you might die. But given that this whole game was about a “non lethal” threat I guess it isn’t -that- bad. But getting crushed by the trash thing was probably not ideal. 4/10
MED: I have no idea what the employment situation is where ONE GUY can just “take over” the ENTIRE crew and the entire show??? If this wasn’t a children’s PC game this would be some Morning Show kind of story about how Sonny abused that power. But it’s not. And this game makes no sense. But, I would send OSHA in to figure out what the fuck the plot of this game was. 10/10
LIE: Literally has a set with actual lava and actual handcuffs and actual puzzles you have to solve to get off of the set??? 100/10 call the police too
SEA: Really not sure who’s all working for who here (like I think we’re working for Dagny AND Magnus technically since they’re in a partnership and Dagny hired us) but I can’t remember anything much more dangerous than general sea-faring hazards and if we were Nancy we probably would’ve had adequate education or training to take care of ourselves. 3/10
MID: I don’t know why a passageway in the cemetery leads to the courthouse bathroom, but that aside most things seem to meet similar standards to ASH. The ergot poisoning is weird but doesn’t seem to be tied to a specific employer. 1/10

hey!! i've been watching your amazing top surgery recovery on insta and i'm wondering if you have any tips/secrets to recovering so quickly??! i've been looking into top surgery but have been so intimidated because everything i've read about the recovery process makes it seem like it'll take months and that's something that's not realistic for me with my limited support system + limited time off work but goddamn i would love to get my tits chopped off asap. i read something about how you gotta b
continued: be prepared to not physically be able walk around or lift more than a jug of apple juice for like two months post-op and that's been scaring me off top surgery cuz that's just not sustainable for me!!
Yeah, so I do think some people are really really overstating how incapacitating the procedure has to be, and that some of that is a holdover of doctor's historical approaches to treating patients.
Like historically, wealthy pregnant women were sometimes in bed nearly the full duration of their pregnancies, and just in general medicine used to believe that the best way for a patient to heal was for them to be lying down doing as little as possible (and being as compliant and inobtrusive as possible), and I believe that might still color some surgeon's recommendations today. Even though we know that gentle movement and maintaining function where one can is good for healing!
Now, my experience with surgery has been far and away better than that of anyone I've heard of so far for a couple of reasons, some that are within a patient's control, some that are not.
The first thing is that I have a high pain tolerance and love moving around, I need to move around to feel good, it's just very helpful for my mental health and sensory regulation. Even when I have the flu or COVID, I still tend to lift weights and take walks -- maybe at a slightly diminished capacity, maybe taking a day off if I feel incapable, but I generally want to move and find it easy to start moving quickly even when I'm sick or in pain.
2. The second piece is, you guessed it, my activity level. Before surgery, I was lifting weights for a half hour each day, five days per week. I'd been doing roughly that amount for a couple of years. I also live in a city and don't have a car so I walk a lot, take the stairs when I can, go out dancing sometimes, and just generally stay pretty active. We could chalk this up as a "choice" but that would be to ignore the fact that I'm capable of doing that much activity and I enjoy it. If I had kids, a 9-5 office job, physical disabilities that impacted my ability to exercise, elder care responsibilities, or anything else, I couldn't work out five days per week. But I personally can. And that has either been good for my health, or is just a signal of the fact that I am in good health.
3. That brings us to the third piece: I don't really have any health issues that get in the way of healing. I get over colds relatively quickly, and aside from a bout of anemia and severe burnout in my mid 20s and some knee pain that I gave myself from using a standing desk for two long that seems to never go away, I've made it to 35 without too many scratches on the vehicle.
Right now I'm probably in the best health of my life, both because of my activity levels and just really finally getting on top of cooking myself meals most days of the week, lots of like fish and veggies and rice and quinoa and shit (I used to survive on power bars far too often. they're still nice. but cooking dinner regularly has made me feel more nourished and strong). Again a lot of that is being lucky enough to have time to do the things that help me feel good.
4. Before surgery, I was hydrating and fibering like a mother fucker, up until midnight the night before my operation, when I was supposed to begin fasting. I also went two weeks without any alcohol, weed, cigarettes, delta 8, or any other substances, and no medications other than my testosterone. I also quit caffeine several months ago which has had a DRAMATIC impact on my mental health and improved my eating and hydration as well. Three hours before surgery I took a prescribed anti-nausea pill, and a celebrex (a prescribed anti-inflammatory, basically it dulls nerve pain a bit) as advised by my doctor.
5. I chose to work with a surgeon who does not use narcotics -- this is a huge one. Opioid pain medications pack a whallop, and if you need them, you need them, there's no shame in that -- but I think the American medical system is still skewed towards using them too willy nilly compared to most other parts of the world. They make you groggy, slow down your digestion, can make you depressed, make you nauseated, and just generally keep you from moving around and eating, and you really do want your physical system to be moving and metabolizing so it can heal you.
I would not have been up and walking around the day of my surgery if I was on opioids. The day after surgery I was able to stream for three hours, ride the train to my post-op appointment, and walk to a restaurant a few blocks away for dinner because I wasn't loopy or medicated at all. And I truly did not need them. Because I wasn't on opioids I was also able to shit the same day I had surgery instead of battling bloating and constipation for days, which most guys describe having.
Rather than giving any hard core pain meds to me, my doctor used numbing injections during surgery, which blunted the pain for the first 48 hours post-op, which is the worst period healing wise. Beyond that, he put me on antibiotics and a celebrex in the morning and at night. I've never felt much pain at all.
At this point, my pain is like.. less than a period cramp? Similar to muscle soreness from working out? I feel fragile because my skin is stitched together, so it's not like I could run a marathon or climb a rock wall, and I can't cook or carry anything over a milk jug. but I can walk around, shower, take the train, open light doors, get dressed, feed my chinchilla, stuff like that.
6. My surgeon encouraged movement. Many surgeons tell you not to lift your arms above your head for weeks, but this can result in you needing physical therapy afterward and losing mobility in general. Now if that's what your doctor tells you to do, you should listen to them, but my doctor told me he wanted me to maintain range of motion. I am allowed to open cabinets, shampoo my hair, and reach above my head to grab things -- GENTLY and SLOWLY -- and i do very very light stretches. In the weeks to come I'll need to weigh two competing concerns against one another: the desire to maintain mobility, and the desire to have thin scar lines. I'm still being very delicate but I am using my arms all day and sometimes raising them.
Now, I can't promise you that any of this will happen for you. And since you mentioned wanting to be as independent as possible, let me tell you: do not push it! you will need help! Not getting enough help will dramatically increase your risk of complications! I have someone with me to lift heavy objects, cook, wash the dishes, help me shower, open heavy doors, and to tell me to slow down when i'm going too hard.
The people i know who did have complications got to that point because they didn't ask for enough help. You will need to take time off of any labor intensive job, and you wont be able to move furniture, make your bed, do your laundry, cook a meal, carry groceries, or do other intensive things for a while. I understand the motivation to get back to 'independence' as quickly as possible, but you can't guarantee that will happen.
This week, I will be doing some light work (grading and reading copy edits) because I am able to, and because I'm high energy enough to be getting bored. But I couldn't count on that. I told my boss and my editor I'd be offline for at least two weeks, more if I had complications. Since I didn't, I'm bouncing back way sooner, but it would not have been healthy for me to set out with that as the expectation. I needed to mentally offload the stress of having a job or I wouldnt have healed as well as I have.

As much as I complain about the (at its core, justified) backlash to corporate AI going in counterproductive-at-best directions here, I would like to take a moment to talk about what I would like to see done about the problem of corporate swarming all over AI as a moneymaking fad.
First, I must address the true root of the problem: as we all know, a lot of the types of people known derogatorily as techbros jumped ship from cryptocurrency and NFTs to AI after crypto crashed...multiple times. Why AI? Why was it the next big thing?
Well, why was crypto the previous? Because it was novel and unregulated. Why did it crash? Because of the threat of regulation.
It is worth mentioning, at this point, that the threat of regulation ended up doing massive harm to people who used crypto for reasons OTHER than speculative investment scams. This included a lot of people who engaged in business that is illegal but lifesaving (e.g., gray-market pharmaceuticals), and people who engaged in business that is technically legal but de facto illegal due to payment processors hating it (e.g., porn and other online sex work) - i.e., a lot of extremely vulnerable people. Stick a pin in this, it will be important.
AI is a novel and largely unregulated field. This makes it EXTREMELY appealing to venture capitalists and speculative investors - they can fuck around and do basically whatever they want with little to no oversight, and jump ship the moment someone says "all right, this is ridiculous you CANNOT just keep pretending it's a rare fluke when your beefed-up autocomplete chat bot makes up garbage information, and the next clown who decides that a probability function trained on the ableism and pop-psych poisoned broader internet is a viable substitute for trained mental health counselors is losing any licenses they have and/or getting fined into bankruptcy." They've always been like this - when technology is too new for us to even know how we SHOULD regulate it, the greedy capitalists flock to it, hoping to cash out quick before an ounce of responsibility catches up to them, doubly so when it's in a broader field that's already notoriously underregulated, such as the tech sector in the US right now.
That tendency is bad for literally everyone else in the process.
Remember what I said about how the crypto crackdown hurt a lot of very vulnerable people? Well, developers aren't lying when they say that AI can have extremely valuable, pro-human applications, from AAC (which it's already serving as; this is, imo, THE most valuable function of ChatGPT), to health and safety - while we absolutely should not entrust things like reading medical images and safety inspections to AI without oversight, with oversight it's already helping us find cancers faster, because while computers are fallible, so are humans, and we're fallible in different ways. When AI is developed with human-focused applications in mind over profit-focused ones, it can very easily become another slice of Swiss cheese to add to one of our most useful safety models.
It can also be used for automation...for better, and for worse. Of course, CEOs and investors are currently making a hard push for "worse".
That's why I find it very important to come up with a comprehensive plan to regulate AI and tech in general against false advertisement/scams and outright endangerment, without cutting too deep into the potential it has for being genuinely good.
My proposals are as follows:
PRI. VA. CY. LAW. PRIVACY LAW. PRIVACY LAW. As it stands now, US law regarding online privacy and data security - which is extremely pertinent because most of the most unscrupulous developers are US-based - is at best a vicious free-for-all that operates entirely on manufactured "consent", and at worst actively hostile to everyone but corporate interests. We need to change that ASAP. As it stands, robots.txt instructions (and other similar things, such as Do Not Track flags) are legally...a polite request that developers are 100% allowed to just ignore if they feel like it. The entire mainstream internet is spyware. This needs to change. We need to impose penalties for bypassing others' privacy preferences and bring the US up to speed with the EU when it comes to privacy and data security. This will solve the problem that many are counterproductively trying to solve by tightening copyright law with more side benefits and none of the drawbacks.
Health and safety audits and false advertising crackdowns. Penalties must be imposed on entities who knowingly use AI in inappropriate and unsafe applications, and on AI developers who misrepresent the utility of their tools or downplay their potential for inaccuracy. Companies using AI in products with obvious potential hazards, from robotics to counseling, are subject to safety audits to make absolutely sure they're not cutting corners or understating risks. Developers who are found to be understating the limitations of their software or cutting safety features are subject to fines and loss of licenses.
Robust union protections, automation taxes, and beefing up unemployment/layoff protection. Where automation can and cannot be used in the professional sector should never be a matter of law beyond the safety aspect, but automation rollouts do always come with drawbacks - both in the form of layoffs, and in the form of complicating the workflow in the name of saving a buck. The government cannot make sweeping judgments about how this will work, because it's literally impossible for them to account for every possibility, but they CAN back unions who can. Workers know their workflow best, and thus need the power to say, for instance, "no, I need to be able to communicate with whoever does this step, we will not abide by it being automated without oversight or only overseen by someone we can't communicate with adequately, that pushes the rest of our jobs WAY beyond our pay grade" or "no, we're already operating on a skeleton crew, we will accept this tool ONLY if there are no layoffs or pay cuts; it should be about getting our workload to a SUSTAINABLE level, not overworking even fewer of us". Automation taxes can also both serve as an incentive for bosses to take more time considering what they do and do not want to automate, and contribute to unemployment/layoff protection (and eventually UBI). This will ensure that workers will be protected, even when they're not in fields as visible and publicly appreciated as arts.
In conclusion, the AI situation is a complicated one that needs nuance, and it needs to be approached and regulated in a pro-human, pro-privacy way.

Aglobaltrade Review
Is Aglobaltrade Legit? After taking a look at their website, it shows that they do not fall under any regulating agency. That is a MAJOR RED FLAG!! That should be enough for you NOT to invest with them. And they also work with websites that offer “Automated trading software” which is another red flag, as this kind of websites are infamous for scamming schemes.
So, Aglobaltrade is just another unregulated forex broker, which means the customers aren’t protected, and there is highly likely they will get away with your hard-earned money and there will be no regulating agency to hold them responsible.
How does the scam work? Usually, unregulated forex brokers work in the following way. They will call people to persuade them to make the initial minimum deposit. And they will try any conceivable method in order to make that happen. They will offer deals that sound too good to be true. Like we will double your initial deposit or you will make hundreds of dollars per day easily. Please don’t fall for anything they say!!! It is a SCAM! After making the initial deposit, they transfer clients to a smarter scammer, called a “retention agent”, who will try to get more money out of you. Also, one thing we need to add here is: don’t trust the good Aglobaltrade reviews you might see online. They pay websites and services to improve their online reputation by posting good reviews about them.
Withdrawing funds You should submit a withdrawal request ASAP, because your funds are never safe with an unregulated broker. And here is when things get tricky.
If you want to withdraw your money and it does not matter if you have profits or not, they will delay the withdrawing process for months. If they delay it for six months, you won’t be able to file a chargeback anymore and your money is gone for good. It doesn’t matter how often you remind them or insist in withdrawing your money, you will NOT get them back. And if you signed the Managed Account Agreement or MAA, which is basically authorizing them to do anything they want on your account, they will lose all your funds so there won’t be anything to request anymore.
How to get your money back Aglobaltrade? If you already deposited your money with them and they refuse to give your money back, which is very likely to happen, don’t worry, it might be a way or two to get your money back. First of all, you need to keep the emails as proof that you have been requesting the money back from them but they don’t give it to you. Or they delay the process for too long, with the intention of not refunding your money.
The first thing you should do is perform a chargeback! And you should do this right away! Contact your bank or credit card provider and explain how they deceived you into depositing money for a non-regulated trading company. Mention also that they refuse to give your money back. This is the simplest way of getting your money back and is also the way that hurts them the most. Because if there are many chargebacks performed, it will destroy their relation with the payment service providers. If you haven’t done this before or you are not sure where to start or how to present your case to your bank or credit card company, we can assist you in preparing your chargeback case. Just contact [email protected] but don’t let your broker know they you read this article or that you are contacting us.
What about wires? If you sent them a wire, there is no way to perform a chargeback on a wire. For this step you need to raise the fight to a different level. Tell them you will go to the authorities and file a complaint against them. That will get them to rethink the refund possibility. Another thing you can do is prepare a letter or email for the regulating agencies. Depending on where you live, you can search google to find the regulatory agency for Forex brokers in your country. After that you can prepare a letter or an email describing how they deceived you. Make sure you show this letter or email to them, and tell them you will send it to the regulating agency if they don’t refund your money. If you don’t know where to start, reach us at [email protected] and we’ll help you with this step as well.
Make sure you leave Aglobaltrade reviews in other sites Another way to hurt them and save other people from falling victims is to leave bad reviews on other sites. See what other sites have posted reviews about Aglobaltrade, and describe shortly what happened. If you fallen victim, please leave a review and a comment on this site at the comment section. Also, when these people change their website, they tend to call the old clients. So, if they call you from a new website, mention it in the comment or let us know about it. That would be really appreciated by us by our users. Also, if you get phone calls from other companies, please put the name of these companies also in the comment. Or you can send them to us and we will expose them too.
Aglobaltrade Review Conclusions Making the Aglobaltrade review was our pleasure, and we hope to save as many people from losing their hard-earned money. A good rule of thumb is to carefully review all the Forex companies and any other company for that matter, before you perform any transaction. We hope that our Aglobaltrade review has been helpful to you. If you have any questions or you need an advice about the withdrawing process, feel free to contact us at [email protected] If you like to trade, please do it with a trustworthy, regulated broker, by choosing one of the brokers listed below.

hey there, I hope you don't find this as annoying but can you tell me if I got the gist of the event's story right? I haven't done the EX stages yet so I dunno if there's more information there. So basically, years ago, Shangshu FedEx was supposed to deliver a cup that can make other objects alive but they got ambushed, leading to Innkeeper and Pole-guy to have a bad relationship, years later, Mr. Lee is tasked by his friend to find it in Lungmen and then deliver it to Shangshu. Rhodes Island, mostly Kroos and Mr. Nothing, unfortunately, or fortunately, gets involved when the Escort Association has a run in with Mr. Lee because Ms. Du wants to prove herself as a worthy heir to the association (but also wants to sabotage it but only to prove a point that their old ways are outdated?), then cup hijinks activates and... The Dragon sisters come in, but that's bad because the sui regulator says they're not supposed to go outside their territories? They have a bit of a talk, and then all of a sudden, big Lazer Dragon appears on the peak, we somehow defeat it and everyone's sorta made up with each other while Ms. Du is going to Yumen for some reason after having had a talk with her goons?
The parts that I'm confused on are: what is the cup exactly? I vaguely remember the sui regulator/Taihe saying that it contains a piece of a deity, but then he says something about the grand tutor dying in Lungmen but then the grand tutor is revealed to be alive after IW-9 (or was it a different grand tutor?).
Who is Shadow Lee????? I mean I love my fishman but I'm confused if this is just the cup taking an aspect of him and using his appearance to do some mindfuckery but the real Mr. Lee defeats it with a Go match in Dusk's painted world?
The Goblet contains the soul of the Second Brother, the second oldest brother among the 12 Sui Siblings (Nian and her brothers and sisters)
It is not the Grand Tutor that dies, but the Grandmaster of the Ministry of Rites. They entered the prison of the Sui Sibling chained up in the Yan capital, even if there was currently a rule that no one should be allowed inside. The Grandmaster was killed, further enforcing the government's opinion that the siblings were extremely dangerous and needed to be dealt with ASAP.
Shadow Lee was the soul of the Second Brother, Sui-Xiang, inside the goblet, possessing Lee as he kept holding on to it. Eventually, Sui-Xiang planned to swap places with Lee's soul and take over entirely, betting it all on a game of Weiqi. Realizing that if Sui-Xiang incarnated they were all probably dead, everyone put aside their fighting to coach Lee, who is terrible at board games.
After his defeat, Sui-Xiang, locked inside the goblet again, tells Ling that humans are malevolent reatures, and she's making a mistake by throwing her lot in with them. Ling goes "Cant hear you im drunk lol" and leaves the goblet at the pavilion.
