Is very confused when he finds a jar sealed with wax in his jacket pocket, so he looks up the ingredients that he can see inside and does not like the way his stomach fills with butterflies when he reads that they’re common ingredients in protection and good luck spells.

After constantly joking about it, you ask if you can actually put a love spell on him to strengthen yalls bond, he agrees because he honestly doesn’t expect it to affect him, not that he doesn’t believe in you or your abilities, but because he already loves you so much, he didn’t believe he could feel anymore love for you than he already did.

And plus he’s not gonna complain when you have him on his back, writhing under you as you you milk him for all he’s worth because you need his cum for the spell, he’s so fucked out after it that he can’t even remember you asking him in the first place.

happy tara maclay day !!!!!

hii so i just suddenly remembered that today is october 16th aka tara maclay's birthday!! so happy birthday to my favourite fictional character ever, here's a little very rushed and very unofficial essay for you <3

so i already knew about her and her unfortunate fate since way back in season 3; i looked at a website about willow's best fashion looks, and her second from the top (before vampire willow ofc) was her and tara's look in once more with feeling. it said in the description, "lets just ignore what happened in seeing red" and ofc my curiosity took me to the buffy wikipedia synopsis, telling me all about her death. so that wasnt the best start.

but i fell in love with her just like willow did. i squealed during new moon rising when she confessed and blew the candle out. i melted during family when they danced together (on her birthday just like today!!). i cried at their first fight in tough love. i sobbed at the end of tabula rasa when tara left. i was so so hopeful at the end of entropy (i even wrote a fanfic on it that yall should defs check out). and i sobbed for hours. hours. after seeing red.

i loved her little friendship with dawn, with anya, with buffy, with everyone.

the way her character has changed me and made me realise things about myself is something that no other character has done.

her and willow made me realise that i was in fact NOT bi and actually lesbian. her sweet demeanour made me into a kinder person, although a bit more of a pushover. i loved her so much that i began to almost love myself. because i realised that there were parts of me that i had in common with tara. and i began to love them.

i became so so so in love with her. i watched every amber benson interview. i bought every piece of buffy merch because she made me love buffy. i bought the buffy tarot deck because i thought maybe she would be proud of me if i tried witchcraft.

she became a part of me. profile pictures, tumblr urls. i cant even explain how much i love her.

and then with the new audiobook im falling back in love with evil tara… her little evil laugh and her low voice is so aaahhhhhh. and her and drusilla make the cutest power couple.

she deserved more than to be shot dead by warren mears. she deserved the world. she deserved better than how willow treated her in early season 6. she deserved everything sweet and kind and beautiful in the world.

basically in conclusion she is a perfect angel who can do no wrong and if you say one bad thing about her i will come for you grr

no but all jokes aside, she means so much to me. truly. i havent finished the audiobook yet but i hope tara and willow are living in a mystical house in the woods into their old age with lots of cats.

I do have to ask, though, why you're so loud. What kind of info are you trying to retrieve? Are you that loud when you go into a demonic karmic's head? Because...yall gotta be more stealth than that. What are you doing that may require the need for a door to enter? Let go of the 'ego', in a sense. become something that can go in-between the cracks if you can't let go of it completely. AND REMEMBER to keep your thoughts/emotions locked up tight until after the 'trip'/travels (another way cards are a very useful tool. They can help you retrieve it/go back in without going back in/seeing froma window, not going in a door ((but you'd need to make the trip first and get yourself a window)). Thoughts/emotions makes it easy for someone to do the reverse on you. It's tracking without even needing to trace the 'magical' signature. Just a personal one.

Don't feel bad if you did, it's not the end of the world. But did you do anything to symbolize a separation of the day before? If not, it kind of counts as the same day in a way/for certain things. So even if she isn't awake, she still would be able to follow you. It's hard to explain. It has to do with how time just works in spirit in general.

Like, once, as soon as I finished recording a video I got all the doors slamming around and all that/it was very busy up there for like 30min. It was allowing that window of time to cover for anyone's window of time, should they use one based off that reading. It still happens, but there are ways to make it more quiet/so I don't notice. I think now it happens a lot when I am sleeping. Or listening to something that will mask the sound.

There's something about access for a day at a time that is important with these kinds of things. Each new day needs a new 'access'/ entrance. But it's also more than that. I think people like her are very limited/can only access on days with certain energies. If there is nothing really special about today astrologically, there are other ways to get an energy to match depending on where you live. Again, harder to explain. Those who may know more/have been (actually) practicing this & not simply perceiving it may have an easier time explaining it.

It may very well just be that it is the weekend/a SUNday. There's a lto of energy in the grid because of general conference, too. And the eclipse building up. Idk if somebody else thought of this and I just heard it but, Saturday sounds like 'Saturn'.

Oh yeah, I just looked up the etymology. I forgot that the weekdays aare based off of scandinavian (and that area) things. Why do you think some were chosen over others? Monday=moon. Saturday=sun. But Tuesday=A god of war/sky specifically, and not just...sky. Wednesday=Odin & Mercury, etc... You can look it all up yourself.

It is easier on Weekends to convince 'spirit' that it counts as a single day, too.

How A Witch Met the Bloodline

*Late night idea for the Strange Magic series that I had.... And, no this isn’t a Roman x Reader thing*

So many things passed through your mind this late at night; emotions, thoughts, and even feelings as you trekked through the darkness. The crisp, autumn night air bit at every piece of skin it could....for you were without your coat and the night only chilled you to the bone. You were passed the feeling of cold....and your magic.....well....it only warmed your hands. The little spark of flame between them as you stepped on crunchy leaves and twigs that easily snapped underfoot. 

The shake in your limbs, however....were not from the cold. They were from the fear that had been struck through you upon the man that had been in your cottage. 

You were trying to sleep in your room when you heard quiet banging. You paid it no mind as you thought it was an animal outside or something. But the second you heard a bottle crash to the floor and drawers opening from the other room, you jumped out of bed. 

The fire in the fire pit had been stoked, so the cold air of autumn had seeped into the cracks of your little cottage, already causing goosebumps to form on your skin that the noise didn’t do first.   

When you had opened the door, saw the man where he didn’t belong there trifling through drawers and upon your shelves of ingredients, it made you gasp. Your belongings strewn everywhere’ ceramic bowls and glassware broken into bits upon the wooden floor. The man that had trespassed into your home was very uncaring for them....for he wasn’t in need of them but of something else. 

Your trespasser heard you and you didn’t have your wits of what spell to use as the man presented a knife. You could barely think with the roaring of blood in your years. He charged you, the blade aimed at you. Like a viper’s tooth aimed at prey, it was to lash into your skin. But your wits came about you and you possessed the blade with magic, commanding it out of his hand and into yours. The man had lunged for you, to grapple his knife from your grasp but, you had a strong grip upon its handle. Without thinking though.....without the care for safety, you swiped the blade at the man....and it caught him in the throat. The price to pay for trespassing upon your homestead. But the blood, spurting every which way, upon your dress and skin...the hot liquid made you freeze. You watch the man grasp at his throat, to stop the bleeding but nothing could be done. He faded in moments, dying at your feet, choking on his own blood. 

The sight of the man dead had your heart frozen in your chest. Had a sinking feeling something bad was going to happen to you. 

Your heart kickstarted at the thought that the body needed to be disposed of. It needed to be done fast. 

Upon inspection of the man, you noted his face, who he was. You had made it apparent to know everyone in Meadow Creek. Everyone who had arrived shortly after you to this stead, you had greeted every one of them and they all knew you. For you were the first settler here. You knew them all. And this man...this man you knew. He was a farmer on the other side of town. He was very spiteful of you and his family was the same way. They suspected of your gifts, your abilities, but he never had concrete proof and neither did anyone else in town. But if he was suspected to be gone, his family would come for you, especially if they knew he had came to your place. They’d come too. With pitchforks and torches, they’d come and claim you to be the witch they thought you were. An evil one. But you weren’t. You could never. 

Without knowing what to do, you left your cottage, seeking a beaten path to the very outskirts of town beyond your cottage. For you knew someone who could help. 

But the trek there, without shoes, without a coat in the brisk cold was almost a bad idea but your fear had warmed you enough until you knew you were halfway. You were still thinking with fear, hoping the family of the farmer weren’t already after you. But you had no other option...it was done. 

The person you were seeking was still a ways away but you needed their aid now. 

Raising your hands to your mouth, you howled into the dark night. It was a distress call, something the person you were searching for had taught you to do when you were in trouble. Because you were...or you would be if anyone else found out. And you were scared and was closed to sobbing. You just needed help from the one person who would understand.

A werewolf, the leader of his own kind, in a settlement on the outskirts of town, deep in the woods to be away from other people and close to the mountains. You needed his help more than ever. 

After a couple moments of silence, you called once more. In moments, an answer called back. You gave the howl another distress call, one to say of urgency and that you needed their help. There was a quick howl from the receiver. It told you they were on their way promptly.   

Because if anyone would aid you....would help you and ensure your safety, it was the Anoa'i family. Especially the eldest of the group. 

And you desperately needed his help. 

However, his aid would never stop, unbeknownst to you at the time the werewolves had settled in Meadow Creek. You never would’ve guessed that the moment you had stumbled upon them and their secret, you would hold them as an ally, offer kinship and help with your own little secret. In exchange for herbs and medicine and your other “special talents,” the Anoa’i family offered you protection, meat from the deer they hunted, and aid when you needed it most from townspeople if it were to ever be known you were a witch. 

That little secret wouldn’t be out until you aided the mayor, making him grateful for witchcraft instead of fearful of it. But that wouldn’t come to pass for another couple hundred years. 

Until then, the werewolves that lived closely were your only friends as the you two shared secrets of things considered “monstrosities” from those of lesser minds. 

As generations and generations of Anoa’i came, the first of the bloodline had vowed to hold you as an ally. And you....you vowed to aid the bloodline when they needed it. A loyalty dating for a little over 300 years now in the present. This is how you came to know the pack leader of today. The one who now sat at the head of the table where his forefathers sat before him. The one who gave the orders and kept his pack and family in line. 

This was how you came to know Roman Reigns. For your loyalty to his bloodline had never faded. 

Not even to this day. 

Before yall start. NO!!! This isn’t a Roman x Reader thing. This was an idea I had to answer the question of how and why you would’ve known Roman in the Strange Magic Series. I thought it would be a cool idea to involve some history and back story since....I’m pretty sure I’ve never mentioned it. Alright soo ik bdsm/dominant & submissive relationships have so many gender roles that differ from couple to couple, and how each person partakes in that role as individuals in a relationship are different.

As people we all like different things as well and we all SHOULD know what we like as individuals and in a real COMMITTED goal oriented unbreakable successful dom/sub relationship each person knows everything that their person likes and should naturally forget about knowing his or her own likes because each of you got that on lock and can please there person without them telling you when its needed and how to do it or what they are in the mood for..

I am a dominant. But for me I'm a bit different from most . Growing up as a kid very familiar with poverty, I didn't have very many friends so what attention I got was being laughed at for having such bug feet being so young plus I was the tallest in my class up till the end of middleschool, I had long lanky arms a good bit of baby fat (as ma use to call it) and long legs with goofy ass knees so I hated shorts because back in elementary where the bullying started, I may be wrong about this but I don't think Walmart could carry any and1 basket ball shorts that covered my knees nor could we afford It honestly. The kids would call me things like "jolly green giant, sasquach, big dumb (especially if I had to read out loud.. I'm not a good out loud reader) big retard or just tard.. that line of name-calling cease to exist come my 5th and 6th grade years.. mind u I spent an extra year in 4th grade soo I was just adding more fule t on the fire for my later years.

My mother, a single mom of 2 terrorists that worked her hardest to make sure we had what we needed and by doing so came overtime hours after working solid 12s 5 nights a week so she now worked 7 12s a week to get her ot in and be home in the morning to feed us and get us off to school so she can relax and sleep. Like any exhausted human, if there's something that can help you feel good enough to work 7 days a week and be able to parent with the bare minimum sleep, I think most would consider the option heavly. And then addiction..... sooo yeah more hell in school. Long story short .. I got tortured in school. It subsided in the last 2 years before I quit my jr year. But anywho my friends consisted of band in 5-6 grade football and wrestling in 7-8 -9-10 (injuries wrecked my entire school also didn't help my popularity non. And lastly jrotc my freshman year in high school. And a ton of females did band and jrotc (basically a free period lol) so I got tight with females in school while the dudes bullied the fuck out of me... I learned how to be a gorls best friend, do hair, nails, make up. Whatever I needed to learn I did... then sports was where I learned that most men are pigs weather its in a locker room. Or at home she another huge plus and can relate to females. I learned how to gossip and and learned any and all kinds of things girls like from fat free foods to why yell what those socks that look kinda like jon boats or canoes yaknow the shortest socks and adult human could even wear def entirely to short to even be related to ankle socks and how do yall keep them things on your feet while in shoes?!?! Some welfare witchcraft type shit goin on there ima throw that out there 🤣 hell my moms almost died one day she asked me how her hair looked after she curled the sides of her hair on either cheek but she curled both sides to the insides of her cheeks and I told her teacher try curling them out it would look better and she was stunned that I knew what I was talking about . Long story short I took so much time knowing whT makes yell tick, physically, mentally, stomachally ;p, definitely sexually.

Sooo on to this i watched ole ma get beet on by men my whole life and when I tried to fight em off her ( almost every fight that got physical between my mom and a man) there i was right i. The middle of the action knot knowing what the fuck ima do next i was only 11 so I took moms beating more than once.

I've been beaten on by females, alot... yea big ole me.. absolutely refuses to hit back. and ill die that way.

All these events me me the dominant that I am today... I'm strong and I will fight even if I don't want to. I am a protector. My person will feel safe, I can't take fear away ofcorse but I promise she won't be fearful of me.

As for myself--people that follow me should know off the bat that (romo) shipping and / or smut are not my goal or primary purpose to RPing. I’m here to write a story first and foremost. While romo and sex may be a part of that story and may be pretty important part for SOME muses, I hate the idea that it is the end all be all. Romance or sex is NOT a need. You can live fine and dandy without it, but that’s all a rant on amatonormativity for another day.

I’m not a huge fan of it due to being sex-repulsed most of the time, though I have done it a few times, in private disc.rd RP which is the only place I’ll ever do it and only with Mun’s I’ve known for a while and trust. I’m not against it though, don’t get the wrong vibe, I just don’t do it often compared to other RPers and don’t like to do it just for the heck of it? It is kind of “simpler” RP I suppose because it’s not as tied to a character arc usually or some intricate plot? So it can be a nice break from the latter here and there, but I still like there to reason behind it if that makes sense? Like, use it as a chance to explore the orientation of the muses or deepen or harm their intimacy levels with each other, establish boundaries between the two of them, etc. Not just write it because “ooo hawwwttt” 

Though have it be noted with plotting I’m not against more complex things or muses figuring out where they stand on this matter. 

I.e. my Jou muse is Aromantic but not Asexual, so for example I wouldn’t be against exploring him being conflicted at first with sex and romance appearing inherently connected and then realizing after a one-night-stand he finds another character physically attractive, but he’s not in love with them. But again, with plotting.

When in doubt, (and this goes for shipping in general as well) if we’ve been mutuals for a while and have some interactions and chemistry between our muses ask, and just be clear with me instead of trying to drop hints or whatnot, that confuses me more and usually aggravates me tbh. I’d rather people just be up front about things so there’s clear communication.

Salt thing though: I will say I dislike blogs that revolve around sex and romance for the most part. Like... don’t yall get bored? IDK like... seems kinda lazy to have the only reason your muse interacts with others is in a romantic or sexual manner. What about friends? Enemies? Character arcs? Family? Self-improvement? There’s so much more to explore! But I know, I know sex and romance sells so 🤷‍♀️ that’s enough to be a selling point for some people and all they care about. Glad those blogs are having fun I guess, but that’s not for me. I just with those blogs also wouldn’t advertise themselves as “being open to more things than romance <3″ when really all they care about and respond to IS romance/smut?

6. On ‘burnbookisms’/anti-blogs.

Do those exist? I’ve seen those confession blogs but obviously they don’t name fandoms or names. Given that the whole “burnbook” concept comes from a group of fictional bullies in a movie like... seems to not be the best thing imao. I understand having a bunch of pent up salt or whatnot, but to me you should just either keep it to yourself or only vent privately to someone you trust.

9. On OOC posts.

I don’t mind them for the most part so long as they aren’t excessive? Like I REALLY don’t need mood updates of the mun 4 times a day. I used to follow someone who did that kind of thing far too often and it just got exhausting to follow them after a while, especially if they’re feeling bad and it’s not tagged as negativity or something. I’m an over sympathizer and it just makes me feel like a shitty person if people put some passive-aggressive “no one wants to write with me” or shiz like that. Please don’t do that.

10. On URLs.

For the most part I don’t care? But things that are easier to spell and remember are always nice?

I dislike things that are clearly something someone plugged into google translate that likely aren’t correct or applicable within the context of the culture (i.e. some pet name in Japanese as a URL along with the muse’s name doesn’t make sense because they don’t really use names of endearment like they are in English). Speaking of, I also tend to dislike URLs that are like “other muse’s name boyfriend” or having the muse’s orientation in the URL or anything along the lines like that. It hella feels and makes the muse out to be SOLELY defined by their partner/orientation which is : / ew.

I don’t mind people using x’s in their URLs especially if the one they wanted was taken but also like?? Choose one letter ok? Either change all the O’s to X’s or all the C’s or something. When the X’s are just speckled around randomly I can never remember how to spell it 😩

I kind of want to put together a group of people who will do spells for other people - who have donation posts up. Is that. Bad? Would that go against consent stuff if I organized a group of practitioners who a) know what theyre doing and b) want to help and did spells to help their situations improve? What do yall think. Because obviously not everyone can donate but we have magic, it’s our craft. And using it for revolutionary reasons is important to me. Would that require asking the people? This branches a new section of “consent” for witchcraft I hadn’t considered but I’m kind of leaning towards “yes you’d need to reach out and ask first”?

Oh man I took accounting in grade 11 and it was the WORST I still did really well but at what cost ya know. Do you have to take stats? Ok, guys let’s get this straight! What about me and my projects now?

Some of you know that things are getting easier for me. Slowly but surely! First of all: Thanks to everyone who has been worried, cheered me up and texted me. Honestly, you are golden! Now that things are more or less settled into something resembling normalcy, I am taking things back into action.

Regarding Art/Commissions: I haven’t been able to do much. During all this time I couldn’t carry around my drawing tablet and well, that happened. Just yesterday I was able to try a sketch of Ladybug from my A Feral Lady fic and I’M SO SLOPPY! Suddenly my desk feels so uncomfortable and hard to draw in. Just give me some time to get used to it again and I’ll finish pending commissions along with art I feel I owe myself and to you all, dear wonderful people who still follow me for my art and I haven’t posted much *sobs*

Zines and other collaborative projects: Luckily some were on hiatus or during process that didn’t need me so they weren’t hindered much if not at all by my absence. Anyway, I’ll join again during the next days and share whatever I’m allowed to about them in due time. I’m very grateful of my friends from those projects for being so understanding over my situation and I’m very sorry for my absence, I’ll return... with weapons!

Regarding Fics and AUs: NOW THIS IS FUN! While I couldn’t take my huge drawing tablet, I certainly was able to take my laptop with me! And you see, I did a lot. I’m not a fast writer at all. And I try to get everything betaed now since I don’t completely trust I’m translating my ideas from my mother language correctly to English but I do what I can to be able to share it with yall ♥ Let me name them, give a summary of it and then tell you what I have in store for it!

Princess Scoop: Pairing: Marichat “A new superhero joined the party. Rena Rouge is a passionate ally with scary reporter and fox tendencies. She was starting to get used to her newfound lifestyle when she discovered something incredible called Marichat.”

Now, let me remind you this was written before Rena Rouge was introduced so it has a non-canon origin to Rena. I honestly have a lot written about this but the third chapter was a huge challenge and ended up split into three parts. And yeah, that’s why it’s been eons and I haven’t posted it yet. But soon, guys, soon. All that writing won’t go to waste. Besides, when I started it I had too specific expectations and I kind of messed up, but now I’m working it in a more relaxed way.

I know you better than that: Pairing: Daminette “Years ago, Marinette started exchanging emails with Damian as a favor for her uncle Alfred. Her first impression of the kid? Annoying and cold. Today, she wouldn't change him for anything. His friendship helped to keep her afloat during hard times especially after becoming Ladybug. Now, Marinette and Alya prepare for a flight to Gotham to meet the frowny bird.”

Chapter 3 is ready and soon to be posted! I have a lot of ideas for it and actually made a huge and wonderful document to plan the story so I’m pretty pumped up! Little secrets from the document along with future sketches will be shared in my Patreon!

A Feral Lady: Pairing: Ladrien “Mister Adrien Agreste has moved to his father abandoned estate in front of a gorgeous forest in the hopes to make new friends, connections, good business and hopefully meet a lovely woman to marry. He never expected this to be the start of close encounters with grievous dangers, witchcraft and fantasy stories becoming real. Who is this mysterious disappeared Miss Marinette he keeps hearing about? And most importantly, does the Werecat that lives in the forest mean him ill will?”

The first chapter is- finally- ready! Actually, it’s been for a long time but I was just very unsure of it, I did some minor adjustments and I think I just should go with it. The second chapter is half-written and I have several original songs for it written too. So what is this fic about? A Feral Lady is basically Beauty and the beast with Jane Austen's influence BUT taking everything from Beauty and The Beast and kind of inverting it. Like I mentioned above, I am doing art for this and will be posted in Patreon before being released here along with the first chapter.

Akumapocalypse: Pairing: Lovesquare Since this AU is kinda huge and I want every single miraculous active, I decided to wait for more info about the characters on S3 to dive into it. Now that there are few miraculous we don’t know about, I was able to easily readapt what I had done with the new info and I can get creative with the others (unless we get leaks while I work in this!) Basically, this AU is pretty much what the name implies, the end of the world at the hands of Akumas. I’ll keep everything else as a surprise!

Oneshots/Other multi chapters: I miiight have mentioned some but honestly, I’m not big into those as much as the others mentioned above. Still, I might finish some one-shots soon and post them between the others, between those there is an akumanette idea, one about Master Fu, another cool and weird one idk how to describe but is basically about Marinette in a hard position and having to create an awful web to protect her identity (?) And I got one very cool multichapter Marichat! But before these, I want to prioritize the others first. Still, if anyone is hungry for the Marichat one, I might be swayed to jump from my headcanon document to a full first chapter. As a very loose way to put that one, I think I’ll call it “Chains” And it will be about an Akuma called The Chainer actually “winning”. Paris is severely damaged and people try to live the aftermath of the Akuma permanent magic. One of the big consequences is that Adrien “disappeared” leaving only Chat Noir and he is forced to live a new life as Chat 24/7.

Current Witchy Goals

hello!

ive decided that in order to stick to my goals for the future, i will publicize them! by publicizing my goals, i hope that everyone who decides to follow me on my adventures will hold me to them. without further ado, my goals!!

Finish my tarot deck. Ive been attempting to make a large tarot deck for almost two years now and recently the cards i had finished got ruined. i am determined to actively work with my deck and finish all of the illustrations ASAP. its going to be a pop culture based deck, with a fuck load of cards. more than double the standard. the deck is based in pop culture, with the major arcana being vocaloid/song based and the minir arcana being based on different anime. im still looking for anime to add so if you guys reading this would like to see any anime illustrated into a deck, lmk?

Incorporate witchcraft into my daily life. I should have accomplished by now, and im ashamed to say i have not. I have my reasons, but ultimately, i still want to achieve this. even if its just carrying around a crystal with me everywhere or blessing my drinks before i drink them, thats still just as good as doing a full blown ritual. I say that because in the end, i do rituals and spellwork to make myself happier and to improve myself. If smaller tasks can give me the same feeling of happiness and accomplishment, i should do it.

Let go. arguably the most important of these three goals, letting go. ive held on to so many things my whole life; my mental illness, my abuse, my history with attempting, everything. Ive held onto the expectations others have of me, the disappointment they felt when i fell over and over again, ive kept it all with me. i think its time that i relieve myself of that pressure and move on mwith my life. its time that i stop caring so much about what others think and focus on what i think. my opinion of myself is the most important opinion i could ever have. i want that opinion to be more kind. more forgiving. more me. i want to be happy. i want to feel better. i feel that the way to do that is to allow myself to be me and just. let go.

My reaction to pretty much the whole episode

Y'all!!!!!! Both good and bad! I was just super excited and glad for it to be back. And so shaken by all the changes and the mysteries!So in general I would give this episode 8/10. Only because I save my 9 and 10. But back to my normal format of these things. I'll start with 3 things I liked and 3 that I didnt although, I'd say it is less dislike and more on the fence.

For real's though, Macy's internal Harry has my theorizing mind going off and I loved all the double meanings in thier interactions (macy and real harry too) I mean the" I am not leaving you" was nice, but Delirious-Macy-mind-Harry saying "i am different do you like it?" And Macy being all like "yes".

I mean okay various meanings here

1. Obviously it isn't really Harry so of course mind harry is different

2. Macy's perspection of Harry is changing (level of attraction to Harry is growing)

3.But --I am putting on my theorizing cap on--I feel like since the poison hit Macy but had her trying to go home then 1) mind Harry (maybe possibly evil twin Harry hmmm..) may be trying to seduce Macy to the dark side or to fully embrace her demon side since he keeps telling her to come home or 2) mind Harry is death since she was poisoned and her attempts at following the voice almost got her run over by a car. So coming home is like death saying come back since you were technically dead.

Maybe evil twin Harry, mind harry, or Death as Mind Harry has only taken Harry's form because it is the best way to get to Macy, meaning the internal attraction is already strong). So it is also an ominous "I am different" in that realm.

Who knows? I love the mystery though!

And of course while the poison siphoning scene and the "macy please" is going to drive all us Hacy fans crazy for a bit. My favorite bit of dialogue is actually the last bit before they enter the house. When Macy tells harry there is nothing here and Harry all sexy over the shoulder looks at her and says " are you sure?" . . .

DOUBLE MEANING!!!! At least I took it both as the house, but also at thier relationship. Anyways moving on.....

2. Mel! Mel is queen. I am just gonna say that one of the things I didn't appreciate about the OG was that all the ladies (including super witch Prue) complained about thier jobs and wanted to have some normalcy. And listen I sympathized when it came to thier romantic lives (although most of it was thier own faults), sometimes it was just like "you are literally saving peoples lives, I get needing some me time but can you not act so flippantly over literal life or death of another person". So I really appreciated that Mel was ready to step up and was already acting as a leader. I know people like to compare her to Prue and for sure she shares some qualities, but Mel really is her own creature and has more openly embraced witchcraft and not complained about it (so far) unlike all the OG ladies and her sisters.

3. No powers. Okay? One of the primary issues in season 1 was that the girls were kinda over powered. I felt it was mostly Macy, but arguably Mel and Maggie as well. So now as they have to work to get them back and possibly discover new types of magic or avenues for magic, I think there is room for growth and character development as well as world building that wasnt there before. At first I was like, oh heck no! And no fair Macy is the only one powered! and obviously with either her demon side and/or evil twin Harry trying to get at her (sisters as well) she is going to have another big storyline. I just hope (and I feel confident in hoping this time) that these storylines will connect meaningfully and not just last minute. It feels like they are on a new tract and I am digging it so far

Now on to my on the fence list . . .

1) Witchness Protection. I dont mind the premise actually and think it is really clever. I just dont know how I feel about leaving Hilltown. While Hilltown wasnt really developed much the university was nice and I am sad that Lucy wont be a part of the story anymore given that Maggie cant go back and they basically are super far from home if michigan was 5 hours away. At least they get to keep the house and I assume Harry gets to live there now, unless he move into the base.

2) the Seattle setting. I think that it very much harkens to OG (which was set in san. Fran.). So I was just on the fence on how it was obviously cutting more ties to the OG and yet incorporating others. I think the san fran setting worked because since it is a real place that most people can imagine without ever visiting you can have broad shots do relatively little work trying to establish the setting. Not that it is easy, but creating fictional towns requires more work to be good. You have to establish the towns character the residents and general layout or else it might as well be any town. So in some ways the seattle base and constant travel will be easier than developing a town which will leave some more time to character and lore building. I will probably end up liking it but just on the fence while watching.

3. Evil Assassin's orbing. So I dont know if anyone noticed but it seemed to be a combination of Harry's new orbing effect and the old Dark Lighters smokey effect (arguably parker's shadow demon effect) The center was the orangy (from my screen) orb effect that Harry had (I like it better than the swirling in and out of last season). So obviously leaves lots of questions, and I an looking forward to that, but on the fence because of . . . Reasons. I'll just tell you. While I like the new orb effect better than probably the OG and the first season of the reboot, changing the effects always kind of takes me a moment to get used to. And now that the evil assassin has it's own type of orbing it is just more orbing effects and my brain is gonna take a moment to catch up.

How did y'all feel about it though? My fellow Hacy fans did I miss something? Please let me know what yall took away from it!

New to my reviewish lists (appreciation bullets). Things that I appreciated even though they are either small or not elaborated fully.

Harry still likes a good party! Nice to see Harry while getting more serious slice of the pie than the first half of the season is still funny. And I liked that he liked parties

Demon/witch war. So I mean I listed all the wars a war was the most realistic and natural course in previous posts and I cant believe I missed the one they seem to be going with. Elders offered protection as a government with them gone and whitelighters gone (arguably the hands and feet of the elders) witches are vulnerable to attacks. I new they would be and that demons would attack as the government fell but I was mostly thinking organization wise. I didnt think about the obvious omg witches didnt just lose a governing body they lost the built in protection that body provided which again should have been a DUH! Thing to realize but I miss it.

So the start of a rivalmance between Maggie and Jordan....definitely different from Parker if that is the direction they are heading. I am a sucker for a rivalmance

Love Triangle between dark Harry, Macy, and Harry. . .I didnt know I needed it until now
