no because the layers to will and vecna are endless. both sensitive, artistic, outcasted kids with some kind of supernatural connections. direct foils of each other (along with el) having vecna turn his loneliness into resentment and hatred for the world while will internalizes it and makes his problems smaller for the people around him. i can imagine vecna possibly even trying to draft will into his army, stating how no one will ever understand him, much like he did with el, and how they deserve to be punished just like his family.

but will is stronger than that, he cares so much for other people, even more than he cares about himself. thats where he and vecna differ the most. will is riddled by so much trauma but i can also see vecna being confused by will and his thoughts, how hes only ever thinking of others and leaving his feelings on the backburner of his mind. his trauma hardly haunts him because he realizes how much those experiences from past seasons affected others along with himself. he puts it away to focus on maintaining his relationships. the only place he falls short with that is mike. i think thats the achilles heel.

its true that will is Perfect for being vecna'd, but with the way he handles his trauma i feel like he really may be stronger against vecna than we might think. hes honest about his feelings, hes a team player all the while being completely self sufficient, and hes brave. all qualities vecna finds opposing. but, again, the only place where he falls short in those areas is regarding his feelings towards mike. and while i think its cheap to replace all his past traumas with a romantic storyline, i feel like it makes sense (and the duffer brothers love throwing in strange romance arcs in the middle of high intensity situations.) so basically, will and vecna both lack in the love department and vecna is going to prey on that.

Armand surgical malpractice meta (spoilers for TVA)

It’s, at least from what I’ve seen, a pretty popularly agreed upon conception that Armand’s mutation of Claudia b4 her death as described in TVA didn’t actually happen..partly bcus it’s such a drastic and grotesque retcon from her death in interview with the vampire so lots of ppl don’t want to address it as canon, and partly bcus it’s so bizarre and seemingly unprompted in context that it just seems more plausible that Armand would make this up as some sort of twisted shock value rather then actually do it. I used to buy into this theory and never rlly thought about it beyond that, and today for the first time I thought about it deeply and realized. Damn I rlly disagree! I think that Armand 100% canonically chopped Claudia’s head off and sewed it onto an adult body. I believe it happened as told. And I have many reasons !

First and foremost I don’t think that Armand is actually capable of lying so deliberately in this context. Interpreting most tvc narrators as potentially lying to our faces and intentionally twisting events to suit a narrative and a purpose of dictating our perception of them is, I think, accurate and justified, and smth I love about this fandom. Everyone is not to be trusted 100%, especially Louis and Lestat, who are said and implied many times to have completely fabricated some events in the books for the sake of painting a picture. Tvc serve as this over arching plot about multiple conflicting characters manipulating events of their lives to suit a narrative that we as the audience can pick apart and discover the truth within. Very much “this bitch said WHAT about me?? that dumb cunt is always spreading lies smh, it actually happened LIKE THIS” (they r both not telling the full truth). Armand however is very much an outlier here, and it’s part of what makes TVA so unique as a chronicle. It’s a big part of his character throughout the series, in TVA and leading up to TVA, that Armand’s way of thinking is so dysfunctional and his memory is so flawed (bcus of all his trauma) (and neurodivergence) (imo) that he isn’t able to fully conceptualize the events of his life as chronological and meaningful in the way that one would need to do to be able to write a memoir.

He can’t describe events in broad strokes, or wrap his head around a vast emotional impact in a way that is explanatory or intentional. Think of that conversation he has with Daniel in queen of the damned, where he explains that he isn’t capable of telling Daniel what his life in the past “was like” because that’s a concept incomprehensible to him. He only knows what happened, not what it was like, not how it affected him or how it shaped his personhood, what it means etc. It’s a form of dissociation almost. The vampire armand is the first time in Armand’s vampiric life that he self reflects beyond acknowledging events and his emotions in that moment, it’s the first time he attempts to make connections and understand himself in a way that is narrative and structured and not fragmented bits of history and A names. Part of this requires further dissociation. I definitely get the impression that since Armand is being so vulnerable in a way he is so unused to, yet is so significant, he is unable to register while he’s talking that not only David, but millions of people including every vampire in the world, will know what he says. He’s just laying himself completely bare, he’s talking and talking and only once he finishes realizes oh. Oh. everyone’s going to read this huh. It’s so cathartic he doesn’t consider that in the moment. It’s the first time he’s ever been capable of reckoning with his life in a self reflective way, of looking at it and explaining it and reasoning with it, structuring it in order, not fragments, etc, seeing the cause and the impact and touching on an overall conclusion (tho he never entirely gets there). These baby steps are so difficult for him already, and considering this part of his character I really think it’s a stretch to say that Armand would be capable of the thought process in his book of pure venting to go “maybe I should twist the truth here or change this or add this or lie about this so people will think of me this way or so Lestat can see this, etc” TVA is unreliable, more so bcus of how mentally ill armand is and how little he understands his own life and emotions, but not deliberately like iwtv and tvl. Armand even says that the book was for Benji and Sybelle, but it’s so unfiltered and horrific and vent-like that this sounds ridiculous. He doesn’t even have his stated audience in mind while he’s telling his story, let alone his broader audience. The audience was a complete afterthought, a barely registered consequence. So why would he lie about Claudia? How would he be capable?

it’s another common piece of conversation around this part of TVA where we go, Armand discusses how he never would want to tell this to Louis bcus he knows how badly it would hurt him, so why did he describe it so graphically? Well, cause of all I mentioned. It seems pretty clear to me that armand is almost haunted by the affair with Claudia, and he has no way of lying about this, so his descriptions seemed very much to me like a desperate bit of venting. He has never told anyone how horrific it actually was and it’s always been in his mind, so he just lets it all out. Makes sense, but the broader question is, if Armand wasn’t lying…why did he do that at all?? This I think is so interesting.

To understand this I had to think a lot about Armand’s motivations for killing Claudia at all, which is well, simply, revenge against Lestat and claiming of Louis without barriers. If Claudia dies Lestat will be sad and Louis will be mine and mine alone 👍👍 etc. but Claudia’s mutation was not rooted in either of these motivations, which is part of why it’s so shocking. He didn’t do it to hurt Lestat, lestat never found out. It just seems so odd and unprompted. But once I thought more about why Armand hates Lestat, and why he wants to hurt him by killing Claudia, it started to fit into place. Armand’s hatred for Lestat is rooted very much in his twisted resemblance to Marius that he perceives as being very strong and basically mocking. When he first sees Lestat in tvl he’s repulsed by him instantly bcus he sees him as this parody of Marius, this beautiful blonde man in striking red robes who boldly and carelessly defies the laws of vampires established by the children of Satan as if they are meaningless to him, revels in the indulgent world of humans like he belongs there, shamelessly as armand devotes himself to miserable repression. It strikes a nerve for armand, feels very personally offensive to him, like the embodiment of the traits that got Marius’s destroyed r coming back to mock him in his face. And then as he gets to know Lestat more deeply he only hates him more, bcus Lestat is not only bold and careless, but he’s immature and stupid, and he knows nothing. Armand in his horribly traumatized mind set registers Lestat as “like Marius” and takes this to mean “maybe he can save me, maybe he will teach me and free me from this hell, guide me and give me the purpose I need to be given.” But Lestat does not do this, lmfao. He actually destroys any sense of purpose armand had, rips him from his safety net, and when Armand begs for guidance, asks to be allowed to travel alongside Lestat so he can learn to be a person again, Lestat denies him. The only purpose he bothers to give him is the scraps, symbolic of his perverse indulgence that Armand despises, and fucks off. Lestat is grotesquely reminiscent of Marius, in the worst ways. It’s like his presence alone opens Armand’s eyes to how badly Marius has ruined him. He was the sun, the purpose, the guiding light, and then it was ripped away, and there was nothing else without him. Just a void.

So Armand hates Lestat for this very personal mockery of his own plight, and this hatred spirals into unbridled rage when Lestat returns to him and expects Armand to give Lestat the assistance that he denied him. Not only this, but Lestat found Marius, found marius and was granted guidance and love that Marius refused to give Armand after his indoctrination into the children of Satan. And Marius told Lestat to never ever do what he did, never make an Armand, because Armand was a mistake, he was too young to be a vampire, and now he’s a mistake he will never forgive himself for. And with this immense privilege that Armand spent a huge chunk of his life yearning for, guidance from Marius when he was his most lost, Lestat decides to disregard it. He decides that since Marius said it was bad to turn a child as young as Armand, he’d turn a child even younger then Armand, just cuz. He is once again the embodiment of Marius’s sins, the grotesque parody. Marius turned a teenager, Lestat turns a five year old. It’s almost cruel in how mocking it is, almost intentional in how personal. So Claudia is this child, this deliberate mistake made by someone who knew her turning would be harmful to her but was selfish enough not to care, then went on to regret it when he has to reckon with the consequences. Seem familiar? Armand sure thought so. So I imagine that being alone with Claudia, looking this deeply sad reflection of his own agony in the eyes, knowing she is about to die for justice against a warped parody of his Maker, for the sake of punishment for her own existence, I imagine this struck a cord of insanity in Armand’s fucked up mind, caused him to loose his absolute shit for just long enough to go what if I can fix her, what if I can turn this narrative around, give her the remarkable ending I know deep down that she, I , will never be granted. What if I can give her a body that will reflect her mind? What if I can make this abomination into a miracle? No wonder he pulled out the surgical tools 😭 No wonder he was so horrified by his own actions when he came to his senses, no wonder he refused to share this, kept it to himself for so long, until he finally broke and confessed it all in a desperate moment when he was too caught up in the dam breaking to realize he’d be exposing this horrific action to the world.

Armand sees Claudia as a repulsive mistake that should’ve never existed made by Lestat to deliberately mock him up until the surgery, when then for only a moment lost to time ended in blood she is another child who had her life taken from her too soon by an egotistical blonde man who thought he could play god with someone’s life. “They were done for anyway, he was going to starve to death in a brothel, she was going to die as a street orphan, the blood would be a service to them, a chance they never had” But they both know that’s a lie they tell themselves to justify the act of taking a child and molding it into what they please for fun, for pleasure, for companionship, just to see what would happen. Armand sees this for a moment and wants to give her a chance, give them both a chance, wants to see her as an adult, as someone who could have a life. And then of course, we know how that turns out 😭

It was quite a tiring day for Scaramouche. However, you, his next door dormitory neighbor refuses to let him rest.

"Leave.", Scaramouche said.

"No fucking way", you replied. You didn't want to go back to your dorm room, which was occupied by your sleeping drunk friends.

"Oh my fucking Archons, why did you even have them drink at your place anyway?", he said. He did have to admit he had a soft spot for you since you knew eachother since- who knows your parents introduced you to eachother when you two were very, very, young.

"You know I'm quite generous and I sort of had it planned out... I'll just sleep in my dorm with their stanky asses then". You turned around in quite a rush, but felt a strong grip on your wrist.

"I didn't say you couldn't stay", Scaramouche implied. "But you said- nevermind".

There you were, sitting on his bed while Scaramouche was on his phone. But little did you know he was viewing the posts of the friends that drank in your dorm room after partying. You thought about your current feelings for him amidst the creeping silence. Did he find you annoying? Does he want to stay friends?

Does he like anyone?

'Damn my thoughts became deep', you mentally said to yourself . You had a feeling of awkwardness and started to break the silence. So, you had a perfectly and maybe slightly sadistic idea.

'Find his ticklish spots.', is what you thought.

'Okay (Y/n), DO NOT, ABSOLUTELY DON'T FUCK THIS UP.'

"Hey Scara",

"What?", he said with an annoyed tone.

"Are you ticklish?"

Silence.

Scaramouche suddenly felt a slight heat creep up to his face. "So what?!", he remarked. "Oh so you are ticklish, or maybe you're ticklish somewhere...", you said as a devious smirk started to form on your face.

"Then... here!"

You started tickling the spot on his side, just above his waist. He then flinched and started bursting out into a fit of joyful laughter.

"Sto- mph!!" Scaramouche said, getting interrupted as he giggled in between syllables. "Ooh~! It seems that the all so mighty Scaramouche is all so sensitive and ticklish in this spot!~". Scaramouche tried to fit a frown in between his laughter, you were very, very lucky that he didn't lash out at you the first time you said something.

It was quite refreshing though, to both of you. You get to tease the man you like, and he spends another moment of being grateful you're in your life. Honestly, how come you're both still platonic friends?

You eventually stopped as Scaramouche was even more exhausted after laughing. A part of you expected for him to be upset, which was right.

Luckily, for Scaramouche, he knew all of your ticklish spots. "Why you-!", Scaramouche exclaimed as he reached out to the same spot where you tickled him. You bursted out into a fit of laughter as you tried to push him away.

"Aha~! Wait noho~! I'm sorry ok! I'll pay for it accordingl-" you were interrupted with more giggles and laughs. "You should, and you will", Scaramouche said while stopping his revenge to a halt and decided on your punishment.

"For your punishment, I've decided we confess some secret we have to eachother. I won't be unfair with you, so be glad I gave you this kind of punishment."

You were taken aback by his statement. Preparing yourself for this, you've decided to confess this one thing you've been hiding from him all these years.

"Fine, my secret is..."

"Is?" Scaramouche asked. He was curious about what secret you might hold.

"Is that, I've liked you since elementary...."

'What?' Scaramouche thought, a shocked expression painted on his face. He didnt expect this kind of secret, let alone something you've been hiding for years. To think that his feelings were returned by his beloved was the best thing he could ask for.

"Fine then, my turn."

You were getting anxious at the thought of rejection. You thought it was weird of you to just say it to him, but it's better sooner than later since you would become adults soon. You watched as Scaramouche took a deep breath and glanced at you longingly.

"I like you too, (Y/n)".

And there it was, the sentence you've longed for so long, the sentence you didnt think you would be hearing after years. You felt heat rise up to your cheeks as you looked away, embarrassed.

Scaramouche thought you looked beautiful, at this very moment. How weird, wasn'tit? Both of you thinking so similarly and lovingly of each other but ending up hiding it in the end.

Scaramouche reached out to your chin and lifted it up, urging your face to look at his.

"Let's date then".

Your heart was beating so fast, it even skipped a few beats as if it were racing through time.

"I- um-... I don't know. What if-"

"Don't worry about that, nevermind".

You thought he was going to kick you out of his dorm room and avoid you at that moment, but it was rather more of something you absolutely didn't expect.

"I don't like you (Y/n)," Scaramouche stated unfinished, "I've grown to love you", he said with a comforting smile, one you've always adored. It was almost like he was glowing at that moment.

"Sleep beside me (Y/n), let's sleep together."

You nodded as you kept your head down in embarrassment as you laid down with him, your fingers intertwined with his.

"From now on, we're not some platonic childhood friends. We're lovers."

Anyways. Dundie imagines and hcs and other things that pop into my brain about them because I think about them a lot and I hope someone out there cares as much about them as I do or likes them a normal amount and would also be as interested in reading this bullet point list I've made

They're very, very queer. I am just unable to tell you in what way but they ARE trust me

Duncan fell first AND harder. Sadie admits to it first.

They're long distance but they both always try to meet up whenever possible- esp Duncan, not that Sadie doesn't try bc she does but! there was this one time in like Christmas break where Sadie got a phone call from prison and it was Duncan telling her that he fit himself in a suitcase and illegally got into her hometown but don't worry he's gonna break out (she ended up getting him out instead)

Sadie (and Katie who she brings along when she can which is often) do Duncan's nails. He's been doing them himself prior and they're chipped and gross looking and are obviously ONE COAT only which they both say is stupid if he's picking BLACK nail polish like smh

I think Sadie, while bringing out his nicer side, brings out Duncan's awkward side just as much. She swoons easily over him but she's equally as unintentionally charming as he is smooth and it catches Duncan off guard.

Duncan grew out his mohawk after the show because at some point Sadie was trying to braid it while they were hanging out in this awkward point between their like friends and their feelings blossoming. She was a bit sad that she could barely make it into a braid and he. HE REMEMBERS!! and it's only barely braidable but it made Sadie sooo happy

Duncan and Sadie both like being little spoon. THEY TAKE TURNS!!

Sadie made him a little friendship bracelet and he's like so attached to it. He made her a skull in return and AUGHH they're so cute

In terms of love language, Sadie's the type to like giving words of affirmation (she really likes expressing herself verbally, always speaks what's on her mind about him and it's often nice, makes cute nicknames) and Duncan's the type to enjoy gift-giving (he's spraypainted her so many murals in random alleyways) (they both love that abt each other btw.)

Sadie calls him various things. "Duncey" sticks, obviously, but she's tried stuff like "pumpkin" and "sweetie" which he seems to like. She calls him snookums sometimes too and he comments on how they sound old and married. She blushes, he blushes, and they stare for a bit before going back to what they're doing.

Duncan tries to respond back by calling her stuff like his "main squeeze", "sunshine" and "charmer". He also lets her call him by his middle name when they're alone. (I think it's Tate. He looks like a Tate.)

Duncan thinks it's kind of corny but sort of endearing but. They do good night and good morning texts (Sadie initiated and he thought it was adorable and they haven't stopped since)

Duncan usually just sends her pictures of his random alley murals but figured out how to send stuff over to her house and mailed her a brick that he spray painted a small mural on for her. She has it on her desk (which she thanks god can hold it).

Sadie always ends up giving him small trinkets she like to make in return. Made him a little skull pin and gave it during Christmas and he's keeps it wherever he goes even when he doesn't wear it.

Duncan tries to tease her all the time and it seldom works and she usually replies in earnest which flusters him real bad. It's so damn cute.

But when he gets her OHO he gets her GOOD. She starts blubbering about and giggling. Which still flusters him so bad.

This especially happens when they watch horror movies together. Sadie's scared of most of them and clings onto Duncan for dear life when they watch it at home and like. He thinks it's so cute aghh!!

Their future domestic life is kind of bliss. They share an apartment, have a cat and a couple lizards and spiders, maybe. Whenever it's the other's turn to cook they always hug em from behind.

Whenever they visit each other or get to meet up they always leave something with the other person by accident. Duncan has multiple of Sadie's jackets and wears them sometimes and keeps forgetting to return them. Duncan usually leaves his shirts but Sadie actually remembers to return them.

Don wakes to a warm weight pinning him down.

It takes him a moment to remember where he is, what happened the night before and as he does, a small smile grows on his face.

Bobby is draped across him, head on his chest and arm at his waist. The only decency they have is the blanket covering them, but Don isn’t concerned about that. He runs his hands through Bobby’s hair, waits as Bobby slowly wakes. He makes a disgruntled noise, buries his face into Don’s shoulder before lifting his head at last.

“Damn sun,” Bobby scowls at the window and Don smiles at this. “At least it’s Sunday.”

Bobby kisses Don’s temple before snuggling back down, his mouth already running a mile a minute. “What do you want to do today? I was thinking about going to that diner by campus. Or we could go to the park. There’s the river too.”

In all honesty, Don doesn’t care as long as it’s with Bobby and goes to say as much. But before he can, the door to the room flies open.

“I’m sorry,” Shorty apologizes, eyes squeezed shut as he stumbles in. “I know I said you could have the room to yourselves but I forgot something.”

Don is frozen and Bobby doesn’t fair much better as they stare at Shorty fumbling his way to his desk.

“I’ll be out in just a second.”

“It’s fine,” Bobby starts when the door opens again.

“There you are, Shorty,” Chuck huffs. “Where the hell have you been?” Without even asking, Chuck enters the room and marches over to Shorty, still airing out his grievances.

Don all but whimpers and pulls a pillow over his head while Bobby tugs the blanket up to their chests. He and Bobby aren’t trying to hide their relationship but this isn’t how they wanted Chuck to find out.

“God damn it, really?” Chuck sighs and Don peeks his head out to see Chuck staring at him and Bobby with his hands on his hips.

“Got a problem?” Bobby bites as he sits up in the small bed.

“Yeah. Cause now I owe Joe a quarter!”

Bobby glances back at Don, confusion painted over both their faces. They had been careful, subtle, but now Don isn’t so sure.

“Chuck, what’s taking so long?”

Don dares to look and the remaining members of their team shove into the room, making a compact space even more claustrophobic. Trying to ignore the fact that he and Bobby are naked under the blanket, Don goes back to the sanctuary of the pillow suffocating him. Maybe this is all just a bad dream.

“Did you have to bring the whole goddamn welcoming committee with you?!” Bobby exclaims, but no one besides Don seems to hear him.

“Oh, hi, Bobby. Hi, Don,” Roger waves before turning back to the multiple arguments at hand.

Bobby curses to himself and Don can’t help the small laugh that leaves him. Of course this is the monkey wrench that life would throw at them. At least there is a hope of a silver lining and Don starts to relax.

“Uh, fellas,” Joe’s voice rises over the din, “maybe we should take this elsewhere.”

Don lifts the pillow just enough to see Joe give him and Bobby a polite smile and Don simply nods in return. It takes a few more attempts but at last, Joe manages to herd the team out of the room.

“Yeah, but what if it’s just one night?” Chuck is still arguing to save his money, but Don catches the exchange of quarters and how Joe seems to collect most of it.

“Have you seen the looks on their faces?” Jim retorts. “Love hath never been truer.”

With a final shove, Joe is the last one to leave the room and he turns back to Bobby and Don.

“Just don’t break each other’s hearts,” he winks.

Before Bobby or Don can say anything, Joe closes the door, scattered voices muffled in the hallway while the room itself is now too quiet. Don finally removes the pillow from his head to gaze at the ceiling and then at Bobby, trailing his fingers down Bobby’s spine.

“What the hell just happened?” Bobby stares at the closed door, eyebrows so tightly knit together Don thinks he’ll rip his face in half.

Don can only shrug, still in disbelief, still wondering if he’s just imagining all of this.

“Well, I guess that’s one worry off our list.” Bobby smiles down at Don before bringing him in for a soft kiss. “Now that we’re alone, we can take it nice and slow.”

Don’s stomach flips at this and he sighs as Bobby kisses along his jawline, climbs on top of him to bring them closer. Wrapping his arms around Bobby, Don melts into every touch, every breath that Bobby gives him. He’s floating away to a place where only Bobby can take him and a flame sparks to life inside his heart.

That is, until Shorty bursts into the room once again.

“I didn’t even grab what I came for!”

the universal hating on lin manuel miranda comes down to a few factors that most of the time have nothing to do with his actual mistakes:

their cringe history is reflected in him and they can't deal with it. let it be known that it is not lin who created miku binder jefferson. that was entirely a monster of our making. and somehow, his enthusiasm and willingness to interact with fan content (i remember everyone loving him for it) is worthy of punishment in relation.

he's an easy scapegoat to dump criticism on because people already feel so comfortable speaking on him. like you said, it's crazy that people will paint out lin manuel miranda, the guy who changed broadway and did so much for POC roles, to be the big baddie. he's made mistakes, and there's a lot we can discuss about hamilton's legacy, etc., but damn. where's this energy for everyone else? is it a case of "he actually tried, therefore we have material to latch onto and tear down?"

a lot of what he does is successful and in the public eye! it's crazy but i see people going "why is lin manuel miranda in everything" about projects from the 2000s, like yeahh he didn't just make hamilton and then disappear for your own convenience. if anything it's a statement about how a lot of his work, like it or not, is remembered over time. the reaction to him being in percy jackson was crazy to me because i KNOW for a fact that you did not see his dark materials or tick tick boom; at most you know him from moana and hamilton. and then complaining that he "threatened disney to be in everything they do" smh.

he's not your typical white boy of the month. this might be a loaded statement but sue me, i think it's true. POC celebrities have a limited amount of time in the sun compared to white celebrities. a white actor having multiple roles in a year is okay, and it means they're a hard worker. but when it's a POC actor, their presence is conspicuous. their presence becomes bothersome. public goodwill dries up so much faster. even pedro pascal, i feel, has been talked about with eye-rolls recently. i read a very interesting paper about this.

it's fun! the internet's chosen him as their punching bag, and there are no consequences to online hating if everyone else agrees. i bet a lot of people think they're just joking.

and all of this makes it such that if they do find out about some of his actual mistakes, it's a relief. i legitimately saw a tiktok comment section filled with bashing, and someone said "this is so hilarious but kinda mean, the guy didn't do anything" and someone said with "actually he did this this and this" and they replied "oh thank god, i don't feel bad now!" so it's not "oh let's see if this person improved" it's "phew! i have a legitimate reason to continue what i've been doing all along!"

it's crazy because i'm not even a lmm fan necessarily. i've just been in the musical community for years and noticed all of this happening surrounding his very popular work. you all will rue the day! 10 yrs later or so people are going to start making those "he deserved better" posts but i will not forgive or forget.

i don't know if you want me to respond to every single thing you wrote here, but i appreciate the message, especially when it comes from someone who's not really a fan - it only shows me that it's possible not to be in the fandom & still be respectful.

I think Shiv is just as much a victim of their marriage as Tom is, they’ve both wronged each other similar amounts in different ways. Despite this I think Tom effectively won the argument, when I say won I don’t mean that he felt better afterwards, or that he was more “right”, he wasn’t, smh “you won’t have my baby” Tom should’ve maybe talked properly to her about if she wanted kids before he proposed, as having kids is clearly something important to him. He may have been wrong or damn well misogynistic about some criticisms he had of Shiv, but despite this, for want of a better and less cheesy phrase he was saying “his truth” Shiv didn’t really do this or at least not as much as Tom.

When Tom screamed “You were going to see me sent to jail” I sort of understood where he was coming from with his anger here, because even though Shiv was right and he offered to go, and frankly there wasn’t much Shiv could do to help him in that scenario, I think the fact that she barely expressed any happiness and even tried to suppress his own somewhat when he found out he was in fact not going to prison, I generally think she was glad he wasn’t going to prison but it didn’t show at all because of her emotional repression, if I were Tom I would definitely grow resentment if my spouse showed apparent indifference over whether or not I was going to prison. But while I was watching in my head I was like ‘Shiv! He is painting you to be a complete villain, why don’t you tell him that when Logan asked you who you would rather take the fall for cruises Kendall or Tom, you said Kendall, you choose your own brother to take the fall over your husband’ of course Logan was just putting her through emotional torture and would have chosen Kendall anyway, because Logan does what he wants, but shiv doesn’t know that, she was probably under the impression that it was her choice, and she choose to save Tom at the expense of her brother, a level of dedication to him, that I’m not sure that Tom has shown to her at any point, despite being the generally more supportive spouse before his big betrayal. But then I thought of course she didn’t tell him that! If she had that would’ve have basically been a bigger love declaration then any “I love yous” she’s told him in the past, she’s not going to show him that much vulnerability especially when they’re fighting.

The only criticism of substance Shiv gave him was the “you took away the last 6 months away with my dad… you sucked up to him and cut me out” the rest of what she said was petty “your mom likes me more than she likes you, you’re a hick, you’re a snake, a social climber” while Tom told her she was selfish, insecure, broken and incapable of love. Tom was more horrible then she was, because to be that horrible you have let your emotions spill and Shiv was refusing to do that despite the tears in her eyes. Clearly out of everything Tom said what hurt her the most was when Tom said “I think you are perhaps not a good person to have children” (obviously this is a sensitive topic for her because of her traumatic relationship with her own mother, and also the fact she’s fucking secretly pregnant) Shiv could have given Tom reasons why he would be a terrible father or even flung the pregnancy in his face, instead, defeated she said “well, that’s not a very nice thing to say, is it?” To stop herself from breaking down in front of him completely she said “I don’t even like you, I don’t care about you” in such an unconvincing way that I think even Tom must have been able to tell it’s bullshit, but on other hand he is so insecure in his relationship with Shiv, and let’s be honest not without reason, that he likely took her word for it.

HONESTLY it does sound like god darling would've been good pals with the dendro archon, old and new. as the god of sand, they've always wanted to see the expanse of sumeru's desert... but they have to settle for paintings/written depictions of it. there are a lot of times where god darling just hangs out around the division of liyue and the surrounding nations. while they're not the biggest fan of staring at mondstadt because it reminds them of freedom they'll never obtain, staring at the sumeru skyline is peaceful. they'll sit on the edge of the chasm for hours and simply admire the lush scenery.

zhongli is getting in the way of a most precious god darling and kusanali friendship... smh... god darling would find her absolutely endearing; wanting to help her people but not feeling she's capable of doing so. it'd wreck their heart.

i love the thought of god darling becoming like. this parental figure to everyone they come across because DAMN they're old. they radiate grandparent energy. whatever the teyvat equivalent if this is has to be their signature dish or something, because they see anyone younger than them (which is 99.99% of the population) and immediately get the overwhelming urge to Dote.

Going off a semi-peaceful multiverse of course, cuz I like everyone kinda getting along—

Classic: personally always seen him as Bisexual, but more leaning towards a masculine attraction. So like a 4-5 on the Kinsey Scale huehue. Honestly don’t think he’d go to a Pride Parade unless someone dragged him there cbsjfbjsnf, so he’s probably just lazing around/being carried the whole way, and wearing a million Pride accessories cuz his friends/brother just keep piling them on while he’s sleeping lmfao

Red: Mostly the same as Classic, tbh. Though he’d probably be picking a lot of fights with anti-protestors outside the parade ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Blue: Pan, he likes anyone and everyone! As long as you meet his taco standards, gender plays no role. He’s definitely the energetic, supportive one at Pride that’s trying to make sure everyone feels happy and involved. He’s usually at the front of the parade, but also weaving through the crowd a lot. Someone says their family doesn’t support them?? Blue’s there to make you feel welcomed and valid no matter what. (ง’̀-‘́)ง

Lust: Demiromantic, Pansexual, and maybe Genderqueer. As in, he usually goes by he/him but doesn’t mind other pronouns, and will typically dress more feminine or masculine depending on however he feels. If he looks good, he looks good, gender expectations be damned. And I just think sexual attraction is one thing (kinda an important thing for his world, too), but being romantically attracted is rare. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ He be the one that’s always friendly-flirting at Pride, and complementing absolutely everyone. He’s totally dressed up with flare, but still stylish and in the colors of one of his flags huehue.

Ink: I go back and forth with Ink a little?? I kinda go by partial canon, seeing him as Asexual and Biromantic, but he’s not sex repulsed. I feel like with him making so many worlds and so many Lust variants, it’s more of a “yes this person is aesthetically sexy” rather than any actual feeling attached to it. XD He goes to Pride in a l l the colors. He’s probably passing out face paint and confetti poppers and other Very Messy Things too. Maybe he’s even painting people’s faces himself before the parade, honestly.

Error: Maybe Demiromantic, but otherwise boi be like Classic, just more grumpy and prone to anger. XD Idk if he’d really want to go to a Pride Parade, because of the crowds, but I suppose if he was he’d likely be in the waaaay back where no one else is, just people watching, maybe enjoying seeing a partner having fun themself and that’s it. … Or he’s on the sides of the parade threatening anti-protestors too, that’s probably a thing.

Dream: HMMMM thinking long and hard about the Dreamtale duo ngl. I just felt like they don’t really. Care about gender or anything at all, and probably didn’t have any of this in their village. I guess I can see Dream as questioning, but leaning towards Pan??? He’s probably been to so many Pride Parades though, let’s be honest. Soaking in the positivity and doing his best to cheer up anyone who’s scared or uncertain in themselves. I can see him educating himself in all the stuff he missed out on so he could lend semi accurate advice to anyone still questioning themselves. He be the therapist wherever he goes smh, but I’m sure there’s been multiple occasions that his friends have pulled him into the festivities as well. I can definitely see Lust and Ink making him dress up a bit. XD mayhaps…. 👀👀

Nightmare: mostly the same as Dream, but he’s had a lot more time to think it over. Idk, I’ve always seen him as Demiromantic, and then just not caring about gender at all. It’s the one thing he always respects in others because he just doesn’t understand mortals’ obsession with gender roles. He’s a murderer, but he’s a murderer that will get your pronouns right. He likely only goes to Prides because his boys go, lmao. He’ll do whatever they wanna do at the parade, within reason. That means no, he will not get his face painted, but they’re definitely able to throw some rainbow accessories and shit on him, even if he’s not happy about it. XD Gonna be washing the rainbow glitter out of his goop for MONTHS…

Cross: He be Bi, just like canon huehue. I’ve also been reading a lot of Trans Masculine fics lately, and I can see that. Idk if I’d ever outwardly mention it in a story, since I don’t personally know much about that kind of experience and don’t want to represent it wrong, but hey if you wanna see it in my fics go right ahead, I’m not against that at all! Cross probably swapped out his cape for a bisexual flag at Pride lmao, but he’s mostly there to accompany friends and/or partners, so he’s not super social with others unless they come up to him. A good guard against creeps though!

Horror: I was going to say Bi, but honestly, nah I think he’d be Gay. I just don’t see him being very interested in girls at all??? Femininity is fine, just not girls. He’s the big burly scary guy at Pride, I feel like he’d be getting a lot of attention he doesn’t know what to do with wheeeze. Might have also brought cupcakes or cookies tbh. Gotta make sure everyone isn’t skipping lunch and passing out during the parade.

Killer: Definitely Gay. The gayest of them all and he’s not ashamed of it. He’s probably causing a lot of chaos and arguments with anti-protestors or just general creeps, mostly cuz he finds their reactions funny. Otherwise he’s a flirty bastard and probably hanging off of Cross and/or Nightmare most of the day. Idk if he’d be wearing much flag/color wise, but he’s definitely trying to put stuff all over everyone else.

Dust: I’ve always seen Dust the most Classic like, so he’s Bisexual too for sure. He’s likely right beside Killer in causing chaos and threatening assholes, but he’s also staying by Horror so the big guy isn’t overwhelmed in the crowd. I’ll bet that Killer convinced him to make little poppers and actual fireworks, too wheeeze. Used safely, of course. Mostly. Probably. Sort of.

Fresh: AroAce. I just don’t see him as very interested in having partners honestly?? Doesn’t mean I haven’t liked some Fresh ships, but for the most part he’s chill being single in my AUs lmfao. Fresh probably brought so many things to the parade. He’s got huge rainbow flag that the crowd can carry over the top of them, a bunch of glow sticks for necklaces/bracelets, balloons, wigs, light up glasses, flags galore, anything and everything, all of questionable origin ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Honestly, I’m not usually a fan of having an entire group of characters identify under LGBT, because it’s not very realistic to me. Not that I’m against the people that do, of course! Do what you want, I don’t care. It’s just not how I roll ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿

But, all the Sans AUs are based on one dude, so it kinda makes sense that they’d all reflect him in some way, some more than others. And since I’ve always seen him as Bi/Pan, ya bet a lotta the AUs are kinda the same wheeeze. There are a lot of UT characters I see as straight, Sans just isn’t usually one of them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe that’s just me projecting onto my fav, but whatever, it’s fictional characters, why the heck not.

ANYWAY these are just my headcanons. It’s not usually a thing I pay much attention to, especially when reading other’s fics. I feel like it’s really up to interpretation most of the time, and that’s one of my favorite parts of fandoms XD

The archons have a chance to stake their claim on puppet reader. It does get funnier with the side quest potential because the Traveler would think it’s Scara, too, at some point. And gathering clues on Inazuma would be like collecting notes Fatui soldiers have written down and probably overhearing the shrine priestesses talking about a previous incident. Oh, and maybe a researcher from Sumeru who wrote down puppet reader’s legends? Even just small snippets would make Zhongli and Venti feel better. Or worse depending on what the Traveler picks up. Oh, and possibly having them on the Traveler’s team could unlock special interactions and dialogue post vision hunt.

Zhongli and Venti also referring to puppet reader as “child” so when Traveler meets Scara for the first time, they (and Paimon) have no idea why the archons are so fond of this brat.

Zhongli didn’t give his gnosis until after the archon quest so maybe he actively was making mora and still forgot to make some for himself. Ah, Venti is a special case given the winds. Perhaps he is compiling other clues as well. They really are looking out for puppet reader. SMH Ei, what would Makoto say.

Stake their claim sjfbsokeks I love the idea of confusing Traveler like it's us theorycrafting these absurd info despite barely having any crumbs to work with. The shrine incident would only appear after Inazuma AQ so this might end up like a continuous side quest per version haha

Them being on the team tho hmmm well if it's a side quest, they could make appearances instead or additional dialogues, it would be "About ???" until the official introduction. But yes! The confusion of it all would be so damn funny like, heartfelt Traveler trying to coax him to being good (probs during the Pardis Dhyai talk "Venti and Zhongli wouldn't want this, they care about you too" and Scara's like "who tf?" "Anemo and Geo archon?" "I've never met them in my whole entire life, wtf are you talking about, anyways time to zap Tighnari"

Zhongli forgetting his own savings? More likely than you think! And Venti definitely has some tricks up his sleeves in play too, and he'd talk about his memories about this mystery person during the festivals. Speaking of, Albedo making an additional painting of Reader for Irodori as a test draft, and be like "oh i met this person during the meteor incident, i think they were traveling with that person too" *points at Kuronushi, puts painting next to the five kaisen portrait to make it look like Kuronushi is walking towards this mystery person*

Bonus points would be drunk Venti pointing at the painting and be like "oh hey, you've found them, thank you for your help Traveler" then promptly passing out to leave a very confused outlander and Paimon

Overall, the most likely occurrence during the archon meet up with Ei, Zhongli and Venti pre-3.0 would be the two info-dumping about how the Fatui might be using puppet reader, traces of where they've been, erosion, all that shit - and Ei is all like "wait, they left the house?" "..." Woman's got zero clue

had some bobbles and bad jumps...and then started getting it back together

also kinda suffers from windmill arms...

Mikhail Shaidorov (KAZ)

literally have never watched mikhail ever, so interested to see how this goes

good technical foundation as far as i can see, nice flow on his jumps

def was struggling stamina wise at the step sequence towards the end...colorado really is unforgiving with the altitude difference

i feel like i saw his spartacus program at the very beginning of the season, so curious to see how it’s evolved

good recovery after the fall on the opening 3A. he’s also pretty speedy

I actually really liked the ending of Stranger Things 4. This whole show is definitely slightly repetitive and I think introducing a new character and then killing them every season is meh at best— Bob in S2, Billy (I know he was introduced in S2 but he was sympathetic in S3) and the Russian in S3, and Eddie in S4– but man did I nearly cry at Dustin telling Mr Munson about Eddie’s death. I can dislike the formula but damn they do it well, smh whyyyyyy.

With Byler— honestly I think if this whole season came out at once people wouldn’t have hyped the painting to be more than it was meant to be between the parts. I don’t think the pairing is endgame. I wish the creators wouldn’t keep talking about his sexuality and just let the story speak for itself. He’s very clearly gay. I assume in S5, he’ll come out as gay, and his friends, especially Mike, will reaffirm their love for him. At the end of the season maybe they’ll tease him meeting a boy who’ll flirt with him. And he’ll finally get a new haircut and he’ll start a new phase in his life :)

I don’t think it’s wrong for a character to spend time coming out in this show where it isn’t the main focus and set in the 80s. It’s fine. We can judge after they finish it.

Is trans ideology popular in your country? Ive heard there's been a backlash in the UK so now i'm curious about France... My country is unfortunately the type of country that follows whatever trend the USA is doing whether it's bad or good so the ideology did make its way into our schools, universities, politics and so on. But I feel the average person here is much less tolerant of it than the average american, like pretty much everyone believes it's a pretty radical ideology and very few people take the whole nonbinary stuff or neopronouns seriously.

Some serious stuff here has been passed like kids can now transition when they turn 14 (hormone treatment inc puberty blockers and surgery), you can also change your legal sex at that age too no transition of any kind neeeded for that, you just need to request the legal change in your papers from male to female or viceversa. Some dude even got to change his ID to mark X where his sex is supposed to be since he identifies as nonbinary (he's a bio male though).

Like i'm glad to be able to freely express my opinion with others since being critical of trans ideology is quite popular actually, but there are so many laws being changed since people still are very "to each their own". They just care if their own kids get sucked into the ideology but couldn't care less if others do, then they're like "as long as its not hurting anybody". So people tend to act apathetic about the way this agenda is slowly making its way into society since it isn't directly affecting them... Until it does. Then it's just too late.

France is still very TERFy lol

When abortion access got passed in the Constitution, french tra seethed about the fact that the bill didn't even include trans men or "people with uterus" (whatever this is) lol. When female members of the parliament celebrated the bill, they dressed in the "radfem colors" (violet white and green) 👀

I think trans ideology will have an extremely hard time invading romance countries because we have an extremely gendered culture. Even our languages are extremely gendered and gender neutral (singular) pronouns are nonexistent (the only attempt I've seen are those mixing the female and male singular pronouns in a single one, but it still puts genderless people in the female/male pronouns box). We don't have the equivalent of "it" or "they" in french. Everything has a gender, even objects or concepts.

Romance countries also have a very deep love for romance (duh), sex/sensuality and the human body. This comes from the Greek civilization they're the offsprings of ofc, but Catholicism plays a big part too. Catholics love some naked people. They couldn't help pulling out countless paintings of Jesus on the cross almost naked SMH lol. The chapel Sixtine is full of naked bodies too....

That's why in the psyche of those countries, trans bodies are unholy atrocities destroying God's work. Trans people won't be accepted like that out there.... And when they do, they have to be impeccably passing. I always found troubling how french people dissed the first lady (who's trans) on her looks, almost more than the fact he sexed the current president when he was still a 14 y.o boy.... Sometimes tells me if s/he was more passing people wouldn't be that mad, and I lowkey hate it....

Sometimes I feel privileged for being able to have critical thoughts about the trans ideology publicly because I know that women lost their jobs for that. One time I was talking to my colleague about a transathletes and we both agreed how men had some damn nerves and no shame for invading female sports like that. Like- it wasn't even a debate for any of us that those trans women were men and we both seethed against male audacity during the whole discussion lol Most women in France are crypto terf yall lol

But the pushing for trans ideology is definitely getting stronger. It's now possible to change your legal sex (but you have to be an adult I think). Not sure about whether minor can access hormones though.
