How about a Valentine's day story in a Blue Lock x Japan U20 match with manager y/n? Like while in the match and the breaks y/n gets lots of chocholate, flowers or gifts from the male fans which causes the players to be jealous and also some of the fans go even far as kissing y/n hand like a gentleman. The players had no idea that y/n made chocholate for both of the teams. She is kinda shy and scared to give them because she thought the boys wouldn't like the taste of the chocholate, the shapes of the chocholates or the color of the packets.
🩷🌱: Happy Valentine's Day, anon! This was such a cute idea, I hope you like what I wrote! Thanks for the request!
Warnings: Reader uses she/her. Requests are open
⚽️Blue Lock belongs to Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura⚽️
"Oh, damn. There are a lot of people here today!" (Y/n) gasped in surprise as she looked at the stadium that was more packed than on the previous match. Today, the JFA had organized a special match between the U-20 and Blue lock. It was nothing serious, and more meant as an entertainment program for Valentine's Day. The board members of the JFA thought it would be a good idea to organize the event as a cash grab for the holiday,which (Y/n) had to admit was a good idea. The ratings and money from the merch shops will definitely give them extra money.
'Greedy bastards.' She thought while side-eyeing the board members while she stood next to Anri and Ego.
"(Y/n), what's with that bag you brought?" Ego questioned as the boys were warming up. (Y/n), confused for a moment, looked at the item and then blushed in embarrassment while scrambling for words.
"I... I made some chocolate for the players of both teams." She whispered to the adults, which caused Anri to squeal at the cuteness.
"That's adorable! When are you giving it to them, though?" She raised an eyebrow.
"I... I don't know. I am a little embarrassed about the possible attention I might get from them... If only I could somehow avoid it." Anri and Ego kept quiet for a moment as they thought of a way to help her. Well, it was more Anri who did the thinking while Ego was busy monitoring the interaction between Rin, Sae, and Shidou.
"Ah! I know what we can do!"
"You do?" (Y/n) raised an eyebrow as Anri happily nodded her head.
"How about you anonymously leave the chocolate in their locker rooms while they are on the field. We should go there once the game starts." Anri suggested, which made (Y/n) smile at the idea.
"Sounds great! Is that ok with you, Ego-san?"
The said man thought the whole idea was stupid, and he wanted to say so, but once he saw the two give him puppy eyes, he sighed and nodded his head.
"Fine. I will just inform the other coach that you will be going into their locker room. Don't be gone for too long." The man said as the two cheered and thanked him.
"Keep it down-"
"Uhm, is someone named (L/N) (Y/n) here?" One of the maintenence staff members asked as he approached the trio.
"Why?" Ego asked bluntly, causing (Y/n) and Anri to facepalm.
"There are some fans who want to see her." The man answered as (Y/n) raised an eyebrow.
"I am her. But, what do you mean by fans?" She asked the man, and Anri and Ego looked back with the same amount of curiosity.
After explaining it to them, (Y/n) followed the older man to the field where some people were. To be fair, they weren't om the field, but on the stands close to it.
'Good God...' The girl gulped as she saw some guys and a few girls looking back at her in excitement while holding some gifts, she assumed at least.
"Don't take too long." The man warned as (Y/n) nodded her head.
"H-hi. How can I help?" (Y/n) wondered as the group smiled, holding out some gifts to her.
"Hello! I brought you these flowers-"
"Happy Valentine's Day! Please be my-"
"You look very cute today! Hope you like this chocolate! It's handmade-"
"I found these flowers! Heard you liked them-"
"Take mine instead!"
"My chocolate is way better!"
"I got you this plush toy!"
(Y/n) watched in shock and confusion as the group showed the various gifts that were meant for her by the sounds of it.
'Why... why are they giving those to me? I am not a player.' (Y/n) thought as she slowly approached the group, not wanting to be rude or anything.
"Th-thank you. You all shouldn't have brought me anything. I am really honored." The group stopped arguing as they watched the manager bow and smile at them.
'So respectful!'
'She looks so cute!' The group thought as they started arguing who will be the first one to give her a gift.
'Ahh... I hope nobody sees this mess. I don't want the attention to be diverted from the players. It's their day.' (Y/n) thought as she went to take the items, thanking everyone individually.
Meanwhile, what (Y/n) didn't notice was the players had already noticed the ruckus that was going on, and they were less than pleased.
"Who are those losers now?" Sae raised an eyebrow, not liking what he wa seeing. The same could go for Rin, who was silently growling as he saw (Y/n) accept those gifts, even going as far as smiling at the people.
'That's my manager. Don't get so comfortable with her.' He thought as Shidou was for once not sporting his usual cocky smile.
'Now, why is she paying attention to those nobodies?'
Aiku was about to speak up, but the 4 froze up when they saw one of the guys take (Y/n)'s hand into theirs and planting a kiss on it.
"Ok, that's about it. I have had enough." Aiku cleared his throat as he walked over to where (Y/n) was, the trip following close by as the rest of thebtwo teams glared daggers at the boy.
While that was going on, (Y/n) was getting more and more uncomfortable with the attention and tried to cut this gift giving short.
'Why did they even give these to me?' She still wondered, unaware of the 4 players approaching her.
"T-thank you again for the gifts. But, I really need to go now-"
"Can't you stay a little longer?"
"Yeah, the game didn't start yet."
The group protested as (Y/n) tried to find a way out. The gifts were too much for her to hold for so long.
"I'm-" She started speaking, but got interrupted by the familiar monotone voice Sae had.
"Having fun? Good, fun is over." (Y/n), surprised by his appearance turned around to scold hin for the rude tone.
"Don't be so rude, Sae-" But, she pretty much cut herself off when she saw the murderous looks Rin, Sae, Shidou, and Oliver were giving the group.
'What's up with them?!'
The game had eventually started after a good 30 minutes and Anri meanwhile dragged (Y/n) away to put the chocolates into the locker rooms. The chocolates were pretty simple. Milk chocolate with a few decorations, all wrapped up in colors that reminded her of the boys. It was pretty cliché in her opinion, but she hoped they would like them and not suspect her as the culprit.
'I really tried to make them look as different as possible.' (Y/n) thought as she put the last one into Neru's jacket pocket, blushing at the thought of them discovering her.
'That would be something I could never live down.'
The game had ended with the Blue Lock team winning after the time got extended to a whole 105 minutes, (Y/n), Anri, and Ego could see the team was exhausted, so they told them to take their time in changing and showering. Meanwhile, the trio would take care of the press or the gifts the Blue Lock team was receiving, which was something (Y/n) ended up taking care of.
'All these gifts look so much better than mine...' She thought, trying not to look sad as she wrote down what was for who. She didn't need fans going after her or spreading rumors.
'Well, at least I hope they taste good.' (Y/n) thought nervously as she took another gift, wondering if they found the chocolates by now.
Blue lock room 💙⛓️
"Hm? There is something in our pockets?" Otoya wondered as Anri giggled while closing the door.
"Yep! (Y/n) made some Valentine's chocolate for you guys! Don't say I told you, tho!" With that, the woman left the teens in a shocked state. That soon disappeared as they quickly looked through their pockets, and sure enough, the chocolates were there. All neatly wrapped.
"Woo-hoo! This is like the first time I got one! She even wrapped it in my favorite color!" Bachira cheered as he looked at the yellow wrapped item. Otoya quickly unwrapped his and took a bite.
"It's so good!" He cheered.
'Ahh! I can die now happily! Wait, is this (Y/n)'s way of confessing?!' Otoya thought as Karasu and Kurona took a bite from their's as well.
"It tastes the right amount of sweet. The decorations look adorable as well." Karasu chuckled while blushing.
"Just like her..." Kurona silently said as he continued eating his, trying to savor the taste as long as possible. Isagi, who took the time to read the message she wrote on the chocolate blushed and smiled.
'You did an amazing job!' He read, feeling his heart beat quicken when he saw the heart at the end.
"She is the best. This tastes amazing." He mumbled, earning nods from Niko and Hiori, who were sitting next to him.
"It does! It does! The packaging are adorable, too. She really put a lot of thought into them." Hiori said in adoration.
"You think she will bake for us one day?" Niko wondered with a red face as he read the message over and over.
"I mean, we could always ask her. (Y/n) is nice, I am sure she would." Reo announced, earning nods from the rest.
"I hope it will be a chocolate cake. Didn't have those in a while. She really made my day with this." Gagamaru smiled warmly, not used to getting chocolate on Valentine's Day from anyone. Nagi kept quiet as his face was a uncharacteristic red shade. The whole time he was staring at the wrapping paper while taking small bites of the chocolate.
'I am keeping this one forever.'
Barou was a blushing mess along with Tokimitsu, so they decided not to say anything as they ate their chocolates. Both were flattered and happy over this surprise. It was better than winning the match in their opinion.
"It has a really good taste to it. Not too sweet and not too bitter. She really thought of everything. So cute." Yukimiya smiled brightly, earning a nod from Aryu.
"Well, it is (Y/n) we are talking about. She is amazing and thoughtful." The brown-haired boy added in. Rin was looking for once relaxed and felt happy as he ate his piece, enjoying every moment of it.
'So good. Definitely better than winning against my brother. I love her so much.' Rin thought, his face turning redder. There was a silence in the room for a while, the team busy eating and thanking (Y/n) mentally for the gift. But, that silence was soon cut off by Chigiri.
"Now, we need to think of some good presents for White Day. Some that will make her forget about the gifts those people gave her today."
The rest of the team quickly nodded their heads.
The U-20 room 🇯🇵2️⃣0️⃣
"Huh?" Shidou hummed as he felt an unfamiliar item in his pocket and quickly fished it out, only to freeze up when he saw what it was. It was a neatly wrapped pink present, and by the shape of it, it was definitely chocolate.
"What is it, Shidou?" Teru asked, noticing the boy's frozen state.
"I got chocolate." The boy answered in confusion as he showed Teru the item, causing the rest of the locker room to look at him.
"You?! Why did you get chocolate?" Sendou yelled out, jealous at the blonde, which earned him a grin from Shidou.
"Probably because the ladies like me more."
"Hm? I got some as well." Sae pointed out as he showed the the team his burgundy wrapped item.
"Ha? And you two didn't put it in there yourselves?" Niou asked skeptically.
"Why would I do such a pathetic thing?" Sae questioned.
"You guys mad that you didn't get any?" Shidou snickered, earning glared from Sendou and Niou now.
"Hey! I got some as well! This is rare for me!" Neru said in excitement as he found a beige wrapped item in his pocket. Now this was a surprise for the rest.
"You as well?" Itsuki and Miroku mumbled as they discretely went through their pockets, only to find chocolate int them as well.
"Hey! I got some as well!"
"Me too!"
"This is weird..." Hayate said silently, blushing as he stared at his present as well.
"Woo-hoo! Hey! I got chocolate as well!!" Sendou blushed in excitement as he took put the present from his jacket pocket. Oliver, who also found a green and purple wrapped present, stared at it in confusion as Teru started eating his chocolate.
"It tastes good as well! It also has some cute decorations on it."
"Mhm!" Niou nodded as he ate his along with Hayate and Neru.
"But still, who put it into our pockets?" Sae asked out loud, earning silence instead of an answer.
"It certainly is weird. We didn't notice anyone near our stuff." Miroku chimed in as their coach walked into the room.
"Ah, I see you found those chocolates. Eat up and let's go." The team stared at the man in horror for a moment as Oliver spoke up.
"Please don't tell me you put these into our locker room."
"Yuck!" Shidou shivered at the idea, earning a glare from the coach.
"No, I have better things to do then make Valentine's Day chocolate." The man rolled his eyes.
"Blue Lock's manager made those for you, as surprise or something. She put those here while you guys were playing. Now, stop acting like school boys and pack your stuff." The man ordered as he walked out of the room, leaving the team in a stunned silence.
'The... The manager...made these for us?!' The team thought as they slowly started blushing at the thought.
"Aahhh~" they sighed happily as Sendou spoke up.
"Lucky bastards at Blue Lock probably get this treatment all the time." He said, sounding jealous as the rest tried to ignore that thought, opting to just enjoy the sweet gifts.
"Achoo!" (Y/n) sneezed as Ego looked at her in confusion.
"You ok?"
"Yeah. I think I am just getting sick." She said back, oblivious to what had happened in the locker rooms.

The Company
Newest Recruit
Story Building and Fluff
Tumblr media
Chapter 8
3,160 Words
(You and Mina’s family have a talk about her enjoying the company. Jessica goes to America to buy her new home. A new set of trainees arrive to the company from a different company.)
After talking to Mina and the choreographer, you ask them for an appointment to talk to her parents. Mina agrees and calls her mom to see when the best time to talk to them both.
You return to your hotel and talk to your assistants about recruiting her into the company. As you’re going over some possible offers, you can make you receive a phone call from the choreographer telling you that Mina and her family can meet tomorrow evening. I am glad about the rapid response and that you prepared everything for your meeting.
It’s the following day, and you’re standing in front of her house and ringing the doorbell. It doesn’t take too long for the door to open, and you see an older female, assuming to be the mother. “Good evening; you must be here because of Mina, correct?”
“Yes. Thank you for inviting me to your home.”
“Come, take a seat. I’ll call Mina and her father over.”
“Thank you,” walking to the living room and sitting on the couch.”
You see Mina walking down the stairs to the living room, “Good evening,” she shyly waved her hand. She sits on the couch across from you and waits for both her parents to arrive.
From the kitchen, Mina’s parents and the choreographer walk to the living room with drinks and snacks.
“Sorry for the wait; we wanted to bring snacks for us to enjoy.”
Once everyone is seated, you introduce yourself as the CEO of Olympus Entertainment, surprising everyone. Knowing some information about the company, the choreographer briefs the parents on the benefits offered to the trainees and the education they get.
Both the parents smile when they hear about the great benefits offered and the chance to finish their education, unlike other companies.
“We like that your company allows them to finish their studies. We want Mina to finish her schooling if possible,” says Mina’s dad.
“Yes, we understand that joining the entertainment business isn’t what some parents see as an ideal job. Here, out of our company, we want everyone to receive higher education in case the trainees decide to change their career path. We also allow them to gain experience in the field by applying to be staff in our company.”
Her parents seem a bit more comfortable hearing that there is a backup plan just in case she doesn’t want to continue. You go over on why you want Mina in your company and what you are willing to offer.
“I’m glad you think highly of our daughter and her talents. She’s been a good girl, and we think she should make this decision on her l own,” says Mina’s mom.
Mina shyly speaks up, “I want to go. I’m a bit nervous, but I think it’d be nice to meet other people who enjoy dancing.”
“Are you sure, Mina?” asks her dad.
“Yes, Ceo-nim complimented my dancing a lot, so I don’t want it to go to waste.”
Her mom then asks, “Okay, then it’s decided. Please take care of our daughter and her future.”
“I will.”
Mina and her parents sign the contract. You congratulate both of them and assure them they won’t regret it.
“Do you need her to fly to Korea now?”
Take care of your schooling and enjoy a small break. I’ll personally come and you all to the company and give you a tour and see our facilities.”
As you’re about to leave, Mina walks up and grabs the edge of your jacket, “CEO-nim, I won’t disappoint you,” as she plays with her fingers.
——————
It’s been a few days after signing Mina to your label, and you have been preparing for her arrival. During the week, you also had Jessica living with you after collecting her items from her apartment. She tells you about her plan to return to America and set up her own fashion brand.
During her stay at your place, Jessica has looked online for possible houses to buy during her stay back in San Francisco. “What do you think about this one?” she asks.
“That one looks nice; it has a nice backyard, and it's not directly in the middle of the city.”
“I like this one too, but it seems busy.”
“You said you want to relax, so maybe something where there are not too many tourists.”
“It has been nice to see them in person.”
“If you want, I can schedule a few open houses; I’m almost done with what I have to do.”
“But how are we going to get there without getting noticed? I don’t want the public to see me like this.”
“We can take my plane there.”
“You got a plane?”
“Yes, I don’t want to go through the hassle of chartering a plane, so I just bought one myself.”
You arrive in San Francisco two days later and go to multiple open houses. Most of these homes are in the millions, but you’re willing to spend that much for your child. After a few days of looking, Jessica makes up her mind, and you sign a contract to purchase the house. The both of you stopped by her parents' house to drop off some items before heading back to Korea. Jessica is about to open the door when you hear, “Jessica, is that you?” Out comes a younger version of her, her sister. She looks at you in annoyance and says, “Is that the guy that knocked you up?”
Jessica reacts and smacks her, “Shut up!” The sister runs back inside as Jessica tries to hit her again but fails. “Sorry for the rude girl over there, but that is my younger sister, Krystal.” You try to introduce yourself to her sister, but she ignores you.
“So, I heard from Mom and Dad that you bought a house nearby.”
“Actually, he bought the house,” she said as she looked in my direction.
“Hmph… that’s the least he could do after getting you pregnant and causing you to get kicked out.”
“Krystal, be quiet.”
“But it’s true. He was the cause for everything.”
“It’s partially my fault, too, not just his.”
The two of them continue to discuss with each other, and you say, “I’m going to be heading back to the airport. I’ll be back to help you move in. Also, send me the information on the fashion line.” Jessica turns around and kisses you on the cheek before you head out.
————-
A bit over a week has passed, and you are headed to Japan to pick up Mina and her parents.
They board the plane, and during the flight, you give them the rundown of what they will see during their stay in Korea.
“After arriving, we can have lunch and tour the campus. I will lead the tour while your items are taken to the hotel I reserved for you during your stay. The second day would be reviewing some fine details about Mina’s stay and looking at the dorms she would be staying in. You then have the next few days to tour around and do as you wish, and the company will pay for it.”
“Ceo-nim, you don’t have to do that,” says Mina’s mom.
“I want to. Mina is the first idol I personally recruited, making it a special moment. Plus, your daughter has a lot of talent, so it would be rude of me not to respond in kindness.”
Mina and Mina’s mom smile while her dad agrees that his daughter is worthy of such consideration.
You all arrive at the company and walk into the main building. You take them through the meeting room, cafeteria, and main practice rooms. The next stop is the education center, where most trainees have classes to finish their education, take extracurricular activities, or want to study.
The last place is the large building where I have practice rooms for small to large groups or for individual practice. “The place is so big and new,” says Mina’s mom.
“We want all our trainees and idols with the opportunity to succeed, so we provide them with the best, anywhere from education to mental health.”
“What about security, like the safety of the trainees and idols?” asks dad.
“The campus is normally closed to the public. Most areas require a security clearance based on the position you have in the company. For example, we separate the trainees and idols to prevent any potential conflict, such as education builds and dorms. Since most of them have a regular schedule, we tend to know where they are at. If there are any irregularities, we use these bracelets to know where they last were since they are used to access building doors.”
“What about if they get sick? How do they get treatment?” asks Mina’s mom.
“We do have a health center that can deal with common issues and is planning to build an in-house hospital for all company employees, trainees, and idols.”
“Seems like you all have things figured out,” says Mina’s dad.
“We want to ensure the safety of everyone here and make it as easy for them to concentrate on their goals.
After the tour, all of you go out to dinner before calling it a night. “I’ll leave you all for the night and see you early in the morning. You’ll get to experience our cafeteria and see the dorms.”
————-
Early in the morning, you meet Mina and her parents outside the cafeteria. “Good morning.”
“Good morning, Ceo-nim.”
“How was your sleep?”
“It was great; the beds were really comfortable.”
“That’s good to hear. We use the same mattress for our dorms here.”
“You hear that, Mina. Make sure not to sleep in too much,” says her dad.
“Otōsan… not in front of the Ceo,” whines Mina and covers her embarrassed face.
“It’s fine; I sometimes enjoy a good rest.”
The four of you head to the cafeteria. Mina is surprised by the number of food options that the area offers. “We offer meals three times a day and have cafes and small shops throughout the campus. You can even order a custom meal if given prior notice.”
Mina walks to the line, gets various dishes, and walks out of the line with a gummy smile.
“Seems like our daughter is going to get accustomed to here in no time,” says Dad in a joking manner.
We all laugh, and Mina turns red again from her dad teasing her. We continue to have breakfast. When we are done, we head out to the dorms where she will stay.
“The dorms are not that far away but separate from the rest of the campus. We have multiple types of dorms for those who are over of age and who are not. We keep them separate since they have different schedules and rules. Once placed in a group, you are moved to a large dorm based on the number of people within the group. They have a kitchen and more space to get to know each other better and build relationships.”
“So does that mean I get to room with another person?”
“We actually have a room available that is meant for two, but you’ll be using it on your own. Obviously, when we get more trainees, we will pair you up with someone who has similar interests.”
As we walk down the road to the dorms, her parents are amazed by how well-maintained they look. Mina cannot help but comment on how they look like college dorms and is excited to see her own dorm. “Is this my dorm?”
“Actually, yes. The one on the left.”
You take out your phone and call the dorm manager. She came outside and introduced herself as the one in charge of managing the building and dorm RA.
She leads the group to the second floor of the building and into the unoccupied wing. “You won't be in this wing, but we are going to use it as an example. Here are the shared bathrooms with multiple stalls and showers cleaned frequently. You are all divided in wings so there are not many who use the bathrooms. There are also individual restrooms throughout the building.”
She then walks to a room and opens it, “This is an example of a double room; there are two beds, a large closet for, and a table.” The parents walk around and seem to like the room, “it’s big. I think you’ll like Mina,” says her mom. “Next, we’ll see a triple room, and it’s much bigger than the double.”
After the demonstration, the manager walks the group to the dorm that Mina will be occupying. “This will be your room, Mina. It’s a double, but you won't have a roommate as of now. We expect a new round of incoming trainees, so you might be paired up soon.”
“Look, Mina, it has a nice view,” says her dad.
You comment, “I think you’ll like it. You are more than welcome to return tomorrow so you can help with the move-in process. Let’s return to my office and discuss some minor details.”
You are all in your office and take out two large folders, a copy for the parents and one for Mina. “These will be your copy of the contract, the expectations and the list of benefits, and some of the options we offer in extracurricular activities. Also, we don’t ask for any payment from the parents, and it's covered by us until they debut. After that, we do take out a share of what was invested for training.”
“That sounds more than reasonable; I heard of other companies asking for large amounts of money upfront,” says the dad.
“Yes, some do, but since we are a new company, we want to separate ourselves from them.”
As you and the parents talk, Mina looks at the extracurricular catalog and tries to decide on what she wants to join.
“Do you have an idea, sweetheart?” asks Mina’s mom.
“There are so many options, I can’t make up my mind.”
“It’s okay, Mina. Take your time; choose whenever you are ready.”
Her mom looks through the dance section and says, “I see you don’t offer Ballet.”
“Yes, unfortunately, we don’t have many trainees that practice. It was something that we wanted to have and actually have a room for it, but it's not completed.”
“What do you think, Mina? Do you still want to practice ballet?” asks her dad.
“I don’t know. I want to try other dances, but I also want to continue.”
“If you want, we can complete it for you. I would be more than happy to see you dance again.”
“See, Mina, the CEO himself said that we want to see you dance and is willing to finish its construction just for you,” says her dad.
You see, Mina thinks about it and fiddles with her fingers, “Do you really like my dancing, Ceo-nim?”
“Yes, I really did.”
“Umm… if you like it, then I’ll be more than happy to continue.”
“Aww, sweetie, that’s good to hear,” says her mom.
“That would be amazing, Mina. Then, I’ll make sure we finish the construction of the studio. You’ll be our first user so it would be like your personal dance studio, haha,.”
“See, Mina, your own studio,” says her mom.
“Thank you so much; I’ll try to live up to your expectations of me,” says Mina shyly.
After that conversation, a member of the trainee team came in and explained the clearance system and the bracelet that Mina would be wearing. This will give her access to her room and other facilities. “We have your information in our system. This bracelet serves as a smartwatch and access key to your room, the buildings you are cleared for, your health profile for the health center, and the cafeteria.”
Mina confirms her information, and the bracelet activates. The team member puts on her bracelet and shows her how it works and what type of data it shows on our end. “This information is kept on our private servers and are not shared anywhere. So when you scan it in a certain location, it only shows based information and nothing else. Try using it here.”
The screen shows Mina’s basic information as a trainee and a picture. “Okay, it seems like you’re all ready to move in.”
—————
It’s been a few weeks since Mina moved into the dorms, and she’s been slowly adjusting to her new environment. You call her a few times a week to ask how she is doing or if she needs anything. Like always, she’s shy and soft-spoken.
Today, you called her to your office to give her some news that will affect her position as a trainee. “Good morning, CEO-nim. I’m here because you wanted to see me.”
“Yes, good morning Mina. Come over and talk a seat.”
“Is something the matter?”
“Yes. I have been in contact with JYP Entertainment, and we are going to collaborate. The company will receive a couple of its idols as part of an agreement. You will be placed together with them since you’re one of the newest trainees.”
“Do you know how many trainees will be coming over?”
“There will be fifteen others; some of them have trainees for a long time while others have just a few years.”
“Does that mean I'll be getting a roommate?”
“Yes, they should be arriving within a week, so try to make them feel comfortable.”
————-
“I hope you treat my trainees well,” says Park Jin-young.
“Don’t worry. They’re going to enjoy their time here.”
“I hope so.”
You then step forward and introduce yourself, “Hello, everyone. Welcome to Olympus Entertainment. I hope you enjoy your time here and build friendships with those around you.”
All the trainees from JYP, in unison, stand up and say, “Thank you for having us, CEO.”
“All of you already know why you’re here, but, as a formality, introduce yourselves.
“Hello, my name is Im Na-yeon.”
“Hello, my name is Yoo Jeong-yeon.”
“Hello, my name is Hirai Momo.”
“Hello, my name is Minatozaki Sana.”
“Hello, my name is Park Ji-hyo.”
“Hello, my name is Myoi Mina.”
“Hello, my name is Song Min-young.”
“Hello, my name is Park Ji-won.
“Hello, my name is Kim Da-hyun.”
“Hello, my name is Son Chae-young.”
“Hello, my name is Chou Tzu-yu.”
“Hello, my name is Lee Chae-yeon.”
“Hello, my name is Kim Eun-suh.”
“Hello, my name is Jeon So-mi.”
“Hello, my name is Lee Chae-ryeong.”
“Hello, my name is Natty.”
“Welcome once again, all sixteen of you.”

read more here
Hongjoong:
onlyfans creator, solos of him masturbating or nudes. weirdly artistic? like camera angles on point, edited to perfection, color graded. rarely, if ever, collabs with others. occasionally posts erotic photography of one unidentifiable woman. his subscribers aren't sure what to make of it but pictures of them together are some of his best work. daylights as a photographer and has some of his work in small galleries across the city.
Seunghwa:
amatuer porn star, makes homemade couple porn or something with a close female friend. domestic/bf vibes in every video. v soft with each other even when they're having rough sex. people assume they're actually dating bc of the insane chemistry even though they never show their faces. its his fun dirty little secret no one in the office knows.
Yunho:
boyfriend for hire. specializes in "turn your brain off for the night, i'll handle it." rent him to be your date to an event or just for a night on the town. doesn't always sleep with his client (his discretion) but usually cuddles and will spend the night. just trying to pay off his student loans since being an analyst pays shit. big yunho bc he has a big... u kno? and loves hearing the women he sleeps with rave about it. has had several repeat customers and older women that recommend him to their friends.
Yeosang:
audio erotica. just aside hobby for him. tbh 9/10 times forgets to record or that he even has the account. started bc a girl he was seeing freshman year of college told him she wanted a video with the sound on and he didn't know what that meant but she liked his voice enough to let the completely black screen slide. posts sporadically but always makes waves when he does. people have offered him money for custom audios and he always turns them down.
San:
fetish model. shibari, leather, latex. you name it, he's most likely modeled it. has portrait of himself (unrecongnizable, facing away just his back criss crossed with ropes, hands bound at the base of his spine) hanging in his apartment. his friends think its weird since they know he's the one in the picture but most of the girls he brings home just think he's into some freaky stuff. started bc he would nude model for the art classes at his college when he needed fast money for weed. people assume he likes really kinky sex bc of his job but he prefers vanilla sex most of the time bc his job is so kink heavy. works as a fitness instructor as his 9-5, and had a few people recognize him but most are cool and leave him alone
Mingi:
nsfw twitter creator. videos, pictures, sliding into dms. mingi does it all and enjoys the comments of people thirsting over him even if he's one dick among thousands. for his day job he works in a sex store and flirts with the exotic dancers who come in to buy their costumes (turned down every single time, there's even a pool for how quickly he'll strike out). the one girl that flirted back still lives in his brain rent free bc all she did was smile and he folded like origami. now when she comes in mingi has to remind himself not to drool.
Wooyoung:
cam boy brat, sugars on the side. likes being degraded by his audience when he's bad. lover of milfs, and has a sugar mommy he sees once a month. loves being wined and dined by her and then loved on at her fancy apartment uptown. started doing both in college to pay rent, now works at a dance studio and keeps it up bc the extra cash is nice. enamored with taking pictures during sex. has a collection of polaroids with his current FWB that he cherishes more than anything (always carries one in his phone case). toyed with the idea of having her come on his streams but he doesn't want to share. he should probably look into that more.
Jongho:
dungeon dom (IDK), the kind thats a look don't touch dom. if you need a session to work through your stress, go to him. sexy spanking, punishment spanking, therapy spanking. he's got the knowledge and know how. has a strange collection of vintage dvds and magazines. rare stuff that he treats like art rather than smut. jongho i never want to speak on your name im sorry

Haikyuu Characters' Informal & Formal Speech
Something I find interesting about different languages and cultures regarding sociolinguistics is the entire idea of formality. Of course, there are ways to sound more formal/polite in English and ways to sound more informal/rude depending on word choice (synonyms). But with a language such as Japanese, it's the grammatical structure itself (verb endings, vocab) that changes to convey varying levels of formality.
An example would be:
大丈夫? (informal) vs 大丈夫ですか?(formal) = Are you ok?
daijoubu vs daijoubudesuka
これは本だ (informal) vs これは本です (formal) = This is a book.
korewahonda vs korewahondesu
In a school setting, the younger grades (kohai) will use formal speech with the older grades (senpai) as well as teachers: meaning 1st years will be formal to 2nd and 3rd years, 2nd years will be informal to 1st years but formal to 3rd years, and 3rd years can be informal to both 1st and 2nd years.
This is easily shown in basically any anime but this post will focus on Haikyuu since it's the one I'm most familiar with.
Karasuno: Kageyama and Tsukishima definitely hold a very high level of politeness towards their senpai as they always speak formally towards them and also always call them "full surname-san" (Azumane-san instead of Asahi-san, Sugawara-san instead of Suga-san, Sawamura-san instead of Daichi-san, Nishinoya-san instead of Noya-san). It makes sense for them since in general their personalities are quite strict and rigid. Hinata also speaks formally to his senpai but calls them by their more usual names (Daichi-san, Suga-san, etc) and he tends to forget to speak formally out of sheer excitement (not because he's trying to be rude) so he ends up adding on the formal desu copula to quickly change his informal sentence to be formal at the last second. You might think that Tanaka and Nishinoya are pretty relaxed when it comes to formalities due to their crasser personalities but I would actually say it's more the opposite. They're both characters that really like upholding the entire senpai-kohai relationship and it shows in that they are always respectful to the 3rd years and use formal speech (it's also shown in how they both loveee being called senpai and specifically Nishinoya's relationship with Asahi). They still call the 3rd years by their more common names so they aren't as rigid as Tsukki and Kageyama when it comes to names though. The scenes in season 1 when Noya and Asahi were fighting (specifically the storage room fight) were surprising in particular due to Noya changing to informal speech while arguing with Asahi (his senpai).
some other random formalities I've noticed in the other characters: as mentioned in the anime, Kenma doesn't like any of that hierarchy stuff which is why Hinata is able to continue comfortably speaking informally to him even though Kenma is a senpai. The shock and immediate apology of Hinata when he finds out Kenma is older than him is sensible in the cultural context since there are many people who would get quite offended and angry if a kohai were to be speaking informally towards them. Although Kenma is never shown directly talking to any 3rd years (other than Kuroo, which he speaks informally to since they're childhood friends), I assume he would still speak formally since even though he doesn't find formal speech necessary he would still be aware that others would care about it. When it comes to Mad Dog, a small part of me expected him to be completely informal to everyone since those kind of characters are usually like that in anime but he still keeps a pretty formal tone when talking to his senpais which pleasantly surprised me. As far as I remember watching season 4, I don't think the Miya twins use formal speech when talking to Aran. They don't call him Aran-san or anything either, just Aran-kun, which could be another example of childhood friends not needing formalities even with the age gap.
EDIT: i just remembered that Kageyama is so damn polite that he doesn't even differentiate between the Miya twins by their first names, he calls them both "Miya-san"!
If anybody wants a particular character/school to be discussed in detail then just send me an ask and I'll try!

meeting and falling in love with sugawara koshi.
strangers → friends → lovers suga x reader
word count: 2k
warnings: not proofread sorry it was too long and i didn't feel like it
a/n: i might make a "dating sugawara koshi" for this! i'll link it if/once i do ^^
Tumblr media
suga had always felt like the guy who was so close, yet so far.
you both kind of knew each other because you both went to karasuno and you were kiyoko’s younger sister.
you knew him, and he knew you. however, you had only ever briefly said hi a couple of times, and you had stopped by the gym a few times to give your sister a lunch, a message, or to take her home. he was nothing more than an acquaintance. and due to the fact that he was a year older than you, you assumed that he probably viewed you as shimizu’s little kid sister, which honestly, he did at first.
one day, however, he came over to your house along with daichi-san and asahi-san to study with kiyoko.
he came way too early, (like way too early even for him) so both daichi and asahi weren't there, and your sister was out running errands because she hadn't anticipated that he'd be so early, so she wasn't there either. when he came, you were in the middle of a destress-cooking-sesh (that's what i call them bc i have little cooking sessions to destress)
you couldn't really let one of your sister's closest friends stand outside your house, so you let him, served him some tea, and got back to cooking.
since there wasn't much to do, he just watched you cook while the two of you made small talk.
he was amazed at the skill, precision, and passion that went into the food that you made.
you let him have it because you didn't really want any, you just wanted to cook.
mans was blown away.
it was possibly one of the best things he had ever eaten.
something about the food brought the two of you together, and the room became instantly less awkward. the more he learned about you, the more he realized that you weren't actually a little kid. sure, you were in nishinoya's year, but you had a summer birthday and you were actually the same age as him. plus, despite you in the year below and him being pretty smart, you two somehow were taking some classes of the same level. the more he talked with you, the more he realized that you weren't as little as he initially thought.
the two of you began noticing each other more and more in the hallways. you had always gone the same path to your classes, but the two of you were for some reason only now noticing that you took the same path.
the two of you began to talk more and more, gradually learning more about each other's interests and personality traits.
suga was kind. he was sweet, understanding, compassionate, and had a dorky sense of humor. he was gentle, soothing, caring, and had a very high EQ.
you began visiting the volleyball practices more often, both to support your sister, but also because getting closer to suga made your curiosity in the volleyball club grow.
maybe suga hadn't realized it because he had known you since you were in middle school, but you were gorgeous. i mean, you and kiyoko share the shimizu bloodline, how could you not be absolutely stunning? but perhaps it took tanaka and nishinoya pointing out in a very loud and straightforward manner that you were indeed beautiful was what made him realize it.
you often brought homemade food for you and your sister when you went to the gym to watch, and suga found your lunches so intriguing. your food was thoughtful, smart, complex, and delicious. you would keep in mind kiyoko's preferences, what would and wouldn't be good in a packed bento, and how you could find new flavors with spices, ingredients, and techniques.
when you offered him a bite for the first time, he happily accepted and was in awe of how delicious it was. the first time he ate one of your bentos consisted of odeng, kimchi, oi muchim, kongnamul muchim, hobak bokkeum, mu saengchae, and myeolchi bokkeum, (these r some of my fav korean banchans if ur wondering! im korean btw) an onigiri with a smoked spicy anchovy filling, and extra spicy mapo tofu made with a homemade vegan meat. you offered him some because you got carried away and made too much, but you hadn't expected his reaction.
you hadn't expected his eyes to light up the way they did when he tried your mapo tofu. you hadn't expected him to comment on the flavors of each banchan you made and for him to tell you why he liked that one in particular. you hadn't expected him to be in such awe at the flavors and textures in the onigiri. you hadn't expected his enthusiastic and animated reactions. you hadn't expected him to be so cute.
wait. cute?
from then on, you began bringing extra accidentally on purpose so that you could give some to him while tanaka and nishinoya whined in the back about how it wasn't fair that he got to eat the food made by a goddess. he caught on quickly and began accidentally on purpose forgetting to bring a quick snack to fuel him through practice. it was the kind of thing that the two of you never mentioned you were doing, but you both knew you were doing it.
before you knew it, you and suga were hanging out outside of school. you had a sleepover with him once when you stayed over at his house too late. you were constantly meeting up to hang out, study, or just be in each other's presence. he comforted you at your lowest moments, and you did the same for him. when you were on the verge of tears and all alone, you would facetime suga and cry on camera with him. when exams were stressing you out and you were neglecting your health, suga would pull you apart from your studies and into the biggest hug. when suga was feeling doubtful of his volleyball skill, you would reassure him that despite him not being a genius setter like that kageyama guy, he had things that made him special and set him apart. (no pun intended im sorry) when suga felt incompetent and unimportant, you reminded him that humans are living imperfections, and that he was only human, and doing great. (your food also helped the situation) suga had quickly become your best friend.
and it wasn't until one day when your friend asked, "so, shimizu-chan, what's up with you and that third-year on the volleyball team? are the two of you, like, secretly dating or something?" that it hit you.
you had the fattest crush on sugawara koshi.
at first, you didn't know what to do with this newfound information. with yourself.
you began overanalyzing every interaction the two of you shared.
every conversation, every touch, every text.
you began noticing every detail about him.
his pretty brown eyes.
his fluffy grayish hair.
his gentle smile.
his mole under his left eye.
the way his eyes lit up when he ate your food, or when you two were talking about something really interesting or funny.
the way he let out a soft, breathy laughs whenever he found something hilarious.
the way he studied so diligently and somehow wordlessly inspired you to do the same.
suga liked disney songs. when you two studied together, you would listen to disney tracks. it helped him focus, and the two of you would occasionally take healthy dance breaks whenever the best song ever came on.
suga danced and laughed when he got nervous or felt embarrassed. it was his way of shaking it off and coping.
suga liked ballroom dancing with you for no reason. he would wordlessly turn on an elegant ballroom type song and he would sweep you up with his hands above your hips and your arms around his neck. (he got consent the first time) it didn't matter before, but now that you had realized you had a crush on him, it made you feel slightly giddy.
suga taught you how to pepper (if you don't know what that is, it's when two people pass-set-hit to each other! im a competitive elite vb player if ur wondering :) also i started playing vb before i watched haikyuu. idc if u don't care bc im just saying that i liked vb before it became popular and it's a point of pride hehe) so that the two of you could pepper together.
suga was really happy when you told him you wanted to learn how to play volleyball. he taught you the basics with patience and kindness, and it made him so happy that you, a person that he held very dear to his heart, wanted to learn about the sport that he held very dear to his heart.
suga cried easily. he had a big heart that was broken easier than most people thought. he was good at putting up a strong front for others, but he was just as soft as asahi when it came to certain things on the inside.
you loved suga.
you couldn't deny it, or try to erase your feelings at this point, because you were very aware that you were in love with sugawara koshi.
and you know what? you were fine with that. you felt confident that he didn't like you back, which was sad at first, but you got used to it. you loved suga as a friend too. all you had to do was not take the crush too far, and make sure he felt comfortable. you were perfectly happy to stay the way the two of you were and remain status quo.
until you weren't.
it upset you that every time suga did something cute or attractive, you couldn't just kiss him and embrace him and tell him he was adorable.
it upset you seeing your friends happily in love while you had to suppress your feelings just so that you wouldn't lose him as a friend.
it upset you that you were feeling such emotions when you had promised yourself that you wouldn't take this crush too far.
it upset you. this whole situation upset you. however, you didn't have the courage to confess to him, so you would have to be content with your current situation.
until one day..
"what?" it took you a moment to process what suga had just said.
"i.. really like you, shimizu y/n."
you froze. you didn't know what to say. it hadn't felt out of the ordinary when suga texted you to come outside to that special spot behind the trees for lunch. you had expected the two of you to eat lunch as per usual, but that was not the case. instead, you were greeted by a red-eared sugawara koshi with a bouquet of flowers and chocolate covered strawberries confessing his love to you.
" you are beautiful, smart, kind, funny, sweet, and the best girl i have ever met. you're my best friend, and i'm so glad that you share shimi- uh, kiyoko..?'s blood, because i don't think i would have met you otherwise."
his face and ears were a bright tomato red.
"so, uh- if you don't feel the same way thats totally cool and i respect that, but i just felt like i nee-"
you enveloped suga in the biggest hug and gently whispered, "i like you too," in his ear.
you didn't know that it was physically possible for ears to get any more red, but they did. he teared up a little and hugged you back. tight. life felt crazy at that moment. he had finally won the girl of his dreams. he needed to hug her tight just in case this was a wonderful dream, and she would disappear if he let go. so he did. held you tight as tears fell from his face in bliss. he knew that this moment would be the start of a beautiful adventure.
and it was.

Thinking about the fact that during the gusu lectures arc Huiasang has apparently been going every year for the last 3 years, but he isn't older than the others. He can't be any older than Zixuan because Meng yao is canonically younger than Zixuan, yet Huaisang calls him "san-ge" which means Meng Yao is older than Huaisang. So maybe Zixuan is way older than the other kids there, except in the novel it was mentioned that they were all around 15 to 16. And Huaisang also calls himself around Wei Wuxian's and Lan Wangji's age. Which means Nie Mingjue has been sending Huaisang to gusu summer camp since he was like 12 years old.
I'm relatively sure that you're just supposed to chalk that up to nmj's general gung-ho-ness about Huaisang and training like wowww he's so intense! HOWEVER. We are not here to take the easy route we are here to overthink. So I have 2 alternate headcanons.
1. Nie Mingjue went to the gusu lectures at an unusually young age himself.
So we know Nie Mingjue's father died when he was between the ages of 10 and 15, generally assumed to be a little on the older side of that spectrum, 14 or 15-ish. Considering that he was, you know, allowed to acually inherit the sect and it didn't topple down, nor did a coup occur or did any of his advisors use him as a puppet ruler. And I'm not sure a 10 year old is capable of handling all of that. We also know that Nie Mingjue's father got wounded in a night hunt that Nie Mingjue was present for, as he saw his father's saber shatter himself, and that it took 6 months for Lao Nie to actually die from his injuries. During that entire timeframe, and afterwards- as I presume sect leaders don't exactly have the time to leave their sect for multiple months to go study- Nie Mingjue could NOT have gone to the gusu lectures. It could be true that he didn't go at all, we're not told this. But IF he ever went, he must've been unusually young. 13 at the eldest.
If that's true, it'd provide him a reasonable motivation to send his brother at a younger age as well. "I did it too and I was fine, Huaisang! It's not that hard if you actually work for it"
or, alternatively:
2. He didn't want him to be in gusu in the same year as the Wens.
Nie Mingjue has a longstanding grudge againt the Wens for his father's murder and very good reasons to NOT trust them with his family's safety. He definitely wouldn't like his little brother to be out of his sight for a multiple month-long stretch with one of Wen Ruohan's sons right there. We don't know Wen Xu's exact age but since he wasn't in the archery competition he's at least 1 year older than lan xichen, which means he's at least 3-4 years older than Huaisang, so sending Huaisang early would mean avoiding Wen Chao, who was his age, without running into Wen Xu. Sadly, due to Huaisang failing the 2 years before, he's ended up in the same class as Wen Chao anyway. And not sending him again after failing for 2 years would mean giving up, and was probably considered a disgrace, so Nie Mingjue had to bite the bullet.
There's definitely other options I'm not seeing but both of these are fun to play with and rotate around in my head.

Hello! I am catching up on les mis letters and I think the October 7(???) chapter mentions that none of the les amis are wearing ties. Can you tell me the significance of this? I know nothing of FRev ✌️
Sure! I assume you mean this line:
They reached the Quai Morland. Cravatless, hatless, breathless, soaked by the rain, with lightning in their eyes.
A quick Obligatory Mention that Les Mis is not set in the French Revolution, but in the post-Republic years of the early 19C ! Which is of course mostly relevant here because instead of imagining a bunch of sans culottes
Tumblr media
(1842 black and white art of two sans culottes, rather pretty and idealized, by Emilé Wattier)
Tumblr media
( a color picture of a sans culotte on the left and maybe far right, with a culottes-wearing drummer between them. All are wearing phrygian caps and republic cockades, and seem to be going off to fight together)
You're instead looking at a group more like this, Fashionwise:
Tumblr media
Révolution de 1830 - Combat devant l'hôtel de ville , an idealized portrayal of revolutionaries in 1830, fighting outside the Hotel de VIlle, by Jean-Victor Schnetz (you can really zoom in on it at the Wiki page!) I wanted to bring that--again, highly idealized -- pic of 1830 in because it shows not just what people were wearing, more or less, but how that was being socially interpreted! You've got a lot of different hats here--top hat, workers' caps, bandanas, soldier's hats, etc. And IDK how much you know about fashion in this era, Nonny, but I bet you can start picking out a pattern to who's wearing what.
Especially the way that cravatlass people in workers' caps and bandanas and Phrygian caps are, by and large, turned away from the camera, or have their faces in shadow, while the composition leads us to a central, heroic figure--a student-type in obvious Fashionably Respectable clothes, with a great big cravat. There's even an older man in a nice top hat, with a saber, looking and gesturing to him! THIS is our Central Guy, a good bourgeois type the presumed viewer can feel safe with! Even the heroic worker (hat apparently missing, but he's in overalls, then as now a garment linked with labor) who's swooning into the central student's arms has his eyes shadowed , though at least we see most of his face.
You could write a whole paper on this painting alone, but the barebones relevance here: a bourgeois audience is going to have very different reactions to people who are visibly of Their Class than the scaaaaary, faceless Working Class. And in the real world where combat and crowds aren't as neat and shiny as this painting and the little details like shoes and socks and fit of the trousers and so on is going to get lost in the dust and distance, one of the easiest ways to read a man's social status is hats and cravats -- who's wearing them , what sort are they wearing, etc.
So on an immediate, practical, level , losing the hats and cravats is a bit like "rolling up your sleeves"-- ditching or loosening restrictive clothing before doing hard physical work. But on a social/symbolic level, it's a way of erasing differences of status and social standing between the barricade fighters. Hats gone, cravats gone, everyone soaked by rain and covered in mud, there's no easy distinction between Enjolras and Feuilly--or between a porter and a poet.
Which is all very egalitarian and symbolic and all--but to the sort of reader/ viewer who the painting up there is targeting, it's also very scary, because now there's no obvious sympathetic "leader", no easily-spotted reassuring figure to make them think it's all being organized by the Right Sort of people. It's just a scary,lower-class, undifferentiated mob.
Both these factors, the symbolic equality and the perceived mob nature of the uprising, are very relevant to the rebellion in Les Mis!
..and also it's just SUPER awkward to try and do hard physical work with a tight binding loop of fabric around your throat, or without losing most hats. The Struggle is Real, there.

OKAY SO I KINDA FIGURED OUT AN IDEA FOR THAT STAR SANSES X READER STORY.
this is a lot. i am so sorry.
anyhow...
you live in the underswap universe. and one day, you meet a skeleton by the name of papyrus. papyrus is a chill guy who seems both really lazy and really funny. you two become friends quick, and best friends even quicker. you then meet sans, papyrus’ very cool and magnificent older brother, who you gain a crush on fast.
you met the rest of the gang. alphys surprising you with her fascination of anime, undyne being wary of you but loosening up thanks to pap, asgore giving you a big old dad hug when you met him, and ex queen toriel gifting you a slice of butterscotch pie. and then finally you meet the human who helped the monsters reach the surface, they were an absolute sweetheart (you wish you could say the same for that dog cat hybrid - she threatened you when you first met the two of them).
the six seven of them became an important part of your life and quickly. the skelebros more than anything.
you’d spend all day talking to papyrus, in many different ways. whether you both are texting each other all day, sending dumb vines and laughing at the most ridiculous puns that stretch could find. or when you’re both on discord vc with each other first thing in the morning, talking about things and just staying on call all day doing your own things until late at night, where you both fall asleep when you two planned on staying up. or when papyrus comes over to your house and vice versa.
he likes to tease you about your crush on his brother all the time. especially when you pop up to their house unannounced, the smirk that papyrus gives you always makes you glare at him to stop so sans won’t notice. you don’t want him to find out, especially since it’s just a teensy little crush.
there’s something about blue that just drives you to him. one, he’s cute. but his personality is what got you falling for him. he was fun, expressive, caring, a little bit of a daredevil, and many other things. he was your type and you loved talking to him. he had so many hobbies and you had a fun time playing along, even if you personally wasn’t a fan of one or two.
like said previously, they all became an important part of your life that almost every day of the week was filled with silly and fun activities with the seven of them. you grew so close to the skelebros that their house even became like a second home to you. might as well be your first one as you barely sleep over there anymore.
but eventually, things start to get a bit... weird.
sans had a job. he told you he was a guard somewhere but he never really explained further than that, which was fine with you. it wasn’t important where he worked so it didn’t concern you much. you assumed he was a security guard for some kind of mall or even for the queen, seeing as he referred to himself as part of the royal guard multiple times.
he attended work every sunday. any other work days depended on various things but he was always mandatory for sunday. his hours were a little interesting. sans leaves for work at around 6 AM, sometimes even 5 which puzzled you plenty. he told you that he’s finished with work around 6 PM, and that riding back takes about an hour which means he’s home by 7.
but sometimes he gets back later than that.
sometimes he gets back at 10 PM. and then other times, he doesn’t come back home until monday near 12 AM which at that point just means that he’s coming home at tuesday. his excuse would be that he was at a friend’s house which you find weird but don’t question. he’s allowed to have other friends, and what he does with them is none of your business.
but recently, sans would be out the house early sunday morning and then he’ll come back 5 days later, tired and scuffed up. the first time that happened you were worried sick and you texted him any second you could, asking if he was okay - which he would respond to whenever he could.
paps never seemed worried about it which bugged you a bit. when you brought it up to the guy, he shrugged and just promised you that he would know if something bad happened to sans.
so when 5 days past and sans stopped responding to your messages, you began to grow antsy. on the 8th day of waiting, you decided to go back to your actual house, promising papyrus that you’ll come back and that you just need a couple of days by yourself to distract yourself - which he understood.
you had a hard time doing that though. every second, you were worrying about sans and whenever you’d think of something else, sans would just find himself right back in your thoughts.
you slept that night terribly. you usually slept with no issue, with no dreams or anything, but that night you had a terrible nightmare. which showed with great haunting detail, sans, papyrus, and the rest of your friends getting hurt by some dark figure - the area around you covered in darkness with some parts appearing to be glitching as if in some video game or hazy and red?
on the 9th day of waiting for sans to come back or at least answer your texts, you went back to the skelebros house, hoping that seeing paps with calm you down. and that night you slept worse. your dreams filled with you being wrapped up in something tight and constricting, all while a dark figure different than the previous one laughed at you with a snarl as he - it - they choke you.
you shoot up from your bed, heaving and gasping for air, coughing hard as if your nightmare was actually real and you were actually being choked. your head is pounding and you can hear your ears ringing and oh god, how your throat hurts so much. you try to make it in the kitchen to get yourself some water, papyrus seemingly in his room seeing as he’s not laying down on the couch where he usually naps. but once you walk into the kitchen, your fragile human body gives up - hitting the floor as you pass out.
you’re gifted this time with uneventful slumber, no nightmare or weird dream for you now. but eventually, you feel something rubbing against your cheek. or someone.
trying to wake up your body and convince your eyes to open, you can hear the hushed whispers of people around you. the person who was caressing your cheek - who you noted wasn’t speaking - moved to play with your hair, either making an attempt to braid it or curling it with their fingers.
this wasn’t paps. who’s messing with your hair? they feel familiar but they still don’t at the same time. the hushed whispers continue and that’s when you notice that one of them sounds like sans! but wait, that means that sans wasn’t the one touching you.
that’s when you open your eyes and you are faced to face with a skeleton that looks a lot like sans but isn’t. he’s a totally different skeleton. he looks taller than sans. he’s shaped softer than sans - which is a weird observation to make seeing as this guy is still a skeleton. his whole color palette was purple and sans wasn’t a huge fan of purple. then that’s when the skeleton spoke.
“hey blue, your friend is awake.”
confused about what’s going on, you raise your head up from their lap - because yes you were in their lap - and are shocked to see two more skeletons, one being sans and the other looking just like him but not him at the same time. unlike the purple one, he wore yellow and blue and he seemed to wear more comfortable clothing, your eyes landing on his spacey themed jacket.
turning your attention back to sans, he made a move to speak but you quickly shut him up, rushing to him and wrapping your arms around him and squeezing hard. which he returned just as.
once you two finished with your hug, you stepped away from him. looking at the other two again, the one whose lap your head was laying in, standing up from the bed and making his way over to the spacey one. the four of you stared at each other and just when you opened your mouth to ask something, a puddle of ink appeared on the floor and you watched as someone quite literally jumped up from it.
he, like the other two, looked just like sans except he was shorter than sans. and you noticed a splash of ink that was on one of his cheekbones which you questioned was permanent or not. his outfit choice was less.... fashionable than the others but you weren’t here to judge. he also seemed to be holding this big brush which confused you but once again, not there to judge.
he introduced himself as ink, apologizing for taking so long as he had to take care of something first. and when you squinted your eyes at him in confusion, he asked if you guys had the talk yet.
turns out. that the multiverse exists. damn it, you should’ve watched spiderverse because this was all so confusing. sans and papyrus and the rest of everyone else were apart of some alternate timeline. you were apart of an alternate timeline. and something in the multiverse was happening? some weird glitched skeleton guy that was heavily known for destroying universes was planning on eradicating yours and others and for the past few days, blue has been gone that long because he was fighting with the other hims in hopes of stopping the guy’s plan. or at least prolonging it.
once they got that out of the way, they each took to introducing themselves to you. even sans. the one who was playing with your hair was named plum, the spacey one named comet - go figure - ink already introduced himself but chose to do so again, explaining who he was with great detail. and then finally, sans turns to you and says his name is blue - which you are going to have to get used to. they mention that there’s someone else but he will be there eventually.
a few hours pass and you watch as the four of them interact with each other, paps - who told you he was nicknamed stretch - being there to help you understand their dynamics.
eventually, it begins to grow dark outside. and right when one of the others make a comment on how it’s getting late and they should probably leave is when a small burst of light appears in the room and there appears another skeleton. who looks a lot like sans blue except he’s taller. taller than the other sanses, but still shorter than paps stretch. but he looks almost identical to blue. which was weird because plum, ink, and comet still looked different from blue, but this guy didn’t. the only difference was their height and clothes.
he apologizes for being late, saying that he had to take care of some things in his timeline that couldn’t wait. he then sets his eyelights on you and introduces himself as dream, giving his full title and everything. you are a little flustered at his appearance, and it takes stretch elbowing you for you to snap out of it and introduce yourself as well.
one of the others speak up from behind dream and ask dream what exactly took him so long. to which dream announces that his brother and the rest of his gang are looking to cause trouble again in the multiverse.
and now, you’re awkwardly shoved into this multiverse drama that you never wished to be apart of.
lucky you.

I had a question about something I had always thought of as odd is in Kuroshitsuji. Ciel and Elizabeth had been betrothed since childhood, and that on its own isn’t that weird. But then I remember that Vincent married Rachel (who is not related to him like Ciel and Lizzie are) for love and they didn’t even meet until they were older, and the same is presumed for Frances and Alexis. Do you think that there might be any plot related reasons for why the Phantomhive family (particularly Vincent and Frances who likely arranged for this) would have chosen to have those two marry? Perhaps anything related to their lineage?
Reasons for marriages
Well, let's back up... slightly... about why Vincent and Rachel get married. I'm not saying they don't love each other, because they definitely do. It's just that I'm not exactly sold on the idea that's the only reason he proposes and she accepts. At the time, and particularly among the nobility and royalty, marriages are pretty much never just for love; they are nearly always strategic... and it's just wonderful if there's also a love connection.
Someone like Vincent Phantomhive, the queen's watchdog, has to choose a wife wisely. She doesn't necessarily have to be in the best physical health, but she must have certain qualities, especially regarding personality and intelligence. They meet in the first place through her father, who probably counts among the "evil nobles" already. I've said this... somewhere, quite some time ago... that Vincent probably makes it known he's looking for a wife, and everyone in his network makes suggestions. He agrees to meet the ones that sound the most promising. Of course, his associates with young maiden relatives are going to try to get them married into the Phantomhive family, unless it would be too much of a peerage downgrade.
That said, Rachel's father probably would have been okay with Vincent choosing either of his daughters. It's just that it was definitely customary to marry off the oldest daughter first. Besides, I think Angelina is about 15 when Rachel is 17/18. Vincent canonically (because Yana-san says so) is already self conscious about the age gap between himself and Rachel -- about 6 years. So, it really puts things into perspective how unrealistic Angelina is to ever think she might have a chance with Vincent. He is nice to her but probably sees her as a kid, and he speaks to her in third person just like Rachel does. Like "Angelina's hair is lovely...", etc. to her, not to someone else about her.
Anyway, Vincent meets with Rachel a few times, where they get to know each other better, and they decide they are a good match. More importantly, Vincent must decide that she fits all his criteria... whatever that might entail. Then, given the formalities of the time, Vincent asks Rachel's father for his permission to propose.
For Francis/Frances and Alexis, it seems they meet during a fencing challenge... where she clearly prevails. And he falls madly in love with her, not just for her skill but also presumably because she's beautiful. After that, I have to assume he woos her until she accepts his proposal. Her mother is dead by then, and her father is... well... I think Alexis is led to believe that her father is also dead. They likely don't ask for anyone's approval... besides perhaps Vincent, with him being official head of the family by then, and he has no particular reason to say no. She gets bumped up in the peerage, too, so it's a bonus.
With Ciel and Lizzie, yes. I think there is a strategic reason for betrothing them... which probably happens as soon as the twins are born, if not before. It strengthens family ties, financially, etc... but it could also be a matter of special lineage -- say, a known reaper in the direct line of both kids. And Lizzie, from a very young age, is being trained to be the perfect wife of the queen's watchdog; that's something else her mom and Vincent might have planned as early as possible.
Notice that we've never heard about a betrothal for Edward. It could be that he's also betrothed and we've simply never heard, since it's not important to the story. Or it could be they didn't bother to arrange a marriage for him, since the Phantomhives don't have any daughters -- this would strengthen the idea that Ciel and Lizzie's betrothal is strategic. Personally, I hope he gets to marry for love... and I hope he ends up with Paula, despite the fact she's not in the peerage. He could raise her status, and that would be nice. Honestly, I hope that... after all this is over... Lizzie gets to find someone for herself and marry for love.

I thought what you said about using Granite Falls as part of your Moonwood Mood storytelling was an neat idea. I would be interested to hear more about that!
Sorry it took me a minute to type up the response to this ask; I would absolutely LOVE to expand on this, thank you so much for asking!! I will warn you that this ended up being quite a longwinded explanation of my personal Werewolf world lore, so I'm sorry about that in advance! 🙈😂
Tumblr media
Let’s get into it! ↓
I've talked about how I don't treat sim worlds as isolated entities in the past, but I've never gotten deep into that - I'll start there so my Moonwood lore makes sense!
Basically, I see Granite Falls as a location within Moonwood Mill. To go one step further, I actually don't even see Moonwood Mill as its own isolated "world" but rather as a small town within a bigger city within a bigger state within a country and so on. Think of Granite Falls as a large property within Moonwood Mill, and Moonwood Mill as an industrial, dying small town that is within driving distance to its larger city counterpart Evergreen Harbor, and all of these places exist in the same state. For me, the states these worlds are a part of are usually real-life states! Of course not all the worlds feel "American" to me (Selvadorada, Tomorang, Mt. Komerebi being perfect examples) but the ones that do usually get categorized this way in my mind.
For example: San Sequoia and Del Sol Valley are the easiest and most widely accepted representation of this idea. I treat both of these "worlds" as large, neighboring cities that exist within the same state, much like their assumed real-world counterparts Los Angeles and San Francisco which both reside in California. Another example is San Myshuno which I've seen a lot of players think of in the same way they see New York City, which resides in New York State. Moonwood Mill, Granite Falls, and Evergreen Harbor all function this way in my mind and would all share the same state! (I'm not a geography whiz, so I've never given it much though which irl state they would be a part of, but with the greenery, industrial, and dreary/rainy vibes my money would be on Washington or, alternatively, I personally see them being in a state that falls somewhere in the Appalachian area, like West Virginia!)
Okay, that's the long explanation I had to get out of the way before I jump into this next lore part... sorry! I'm getting to the good stuff now though, I promise!
Granite Falls and Moonwood Mill are on an even smaller scale than the San Sequoia/Del Sol Valley relationship, in my opinion. To me, Granite Falls feels like a national park or forest/nature preserve that surrounds Moonwood Mill and therefore ultimately falls under their jurisdiction. HOWEVER, the primary caretakers of Granite Falls are technically an independent commune... better known as "The Moonwood Collective."
I don't think there's enough room in the town center of Moonwood Mill to accommodate two whole wolf packs AND the handful of human locals that remain. Additionally, when you take into consideration the canon growing tension between these two packs and their various different ways of life, I have a hard time seeing them effectively coexisting in such close proximity. Besides that, Modern Moonwood Mill in its broken down, industrial, haphazard state suits the Wildfangs more than The Moonwood Collective - I can see the influence that the Wildfangs have had on the area, but where is The Collective's influence? Even the layout of Moonwood Mill and the lots which are located within walking distance of the rowdy dive bar screams Wildfang energy to me.
We also know that The Collective is much older than the Wildfangs, as it was formed back when Moonwood Mill was just beginning to have settlers and refugees who were fleeing from conflict (the big magical war between spellcasters/vampires/werewolves). Referred to only as "Moonwood" back then due to the area's obvious connection to the moon's energy, the founders of the town established The Collective - in the sims lore, it seems to imply that The Collective is the first pack of its kind to organize werewolves into a hierarchal structure with the goal of encouraging self-sustainability, diplomatic communication, and communal contribution within its wolf members. In my mind, I've always seen The Collective as people who reject societal comforts and embrace naturalism, self-discipline/emotional control, herbalism and holistic medicine practices, minimalist living, homesteading, community caretaking, things of that nature... and there really isn't anywhere in Moonwood Mill specifically that conveys that kind of influence. Granite Falls, however, sure feels magical with its sprawling plantlife and natural oddities... that is a place that could support their lifestyle!
If you look at the maps of these two places, it isn't hard to imagine Granite Falls as the wooded area close to the Moonwood Lunvik Lake, the spot where werewolves can "awaken the wolf" if they swim there during a full moon, because Granite falls is surrounded by various bodies of water AND mountain structures on it's right side... just like the mountain structures and woods that frame Moonwood Mill in the upper left hand of its map! Let me give you two shitty graphics I made to help illustrate what I mean:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's not a one-for-one perfect comparison, but it's so damn close that it feels natural to see the worlds as complimentary! Especially with The Collective's connection to the ancient spiritualism of the original wolves and mooncasters, it just makes sense that they would opt live in a commune-esque community on the outskirts of Moonwood Mill, as opposed to being right in the epicenter of town. This way they're close to the sacred Lunvik Lake, just far enough outside of society to seclude their true nature, but still close enough to help the remaining human locals. I even have a silly headcanon that the "Big Foot" of Granite Falls is actually just the pack-less werewolf Greg, as we know he lives secluded, deep in the forest...it just makes sense that people might see him raging in wolf form at night and be like "Oh shit, big foot!"
With the Wildfangs being a newer pack that is more open to embracing the wolf parts of themselves, they wouldn't feel the need to "hide" and pull themselves out of society in the way that The Collective does. That being said, they also wouldn't have the resources, structure, and defined communal space that a very old pack like The Collective would have... therefore they're just scattered around Moonwood Mill in their family homes, the trailer park (some people do a motel instead - I can see both working well), and so on. Some lots even tell their buyers to ignore the "howling in the distance," and because the Collective hides their true nature, I feel this must be referring to the Wildfang's full moon antics and their willingness to "embrace the beast."
Either way, It seems to me that The Collective has always believed it best to stay hidden, so it makes sense that they would form their community on the outskirts of Moonwood Mill not just for their own safety, but for the safety of the human locals as well. I think they likely relocated to Granite Falls years before the Wildfangs existed and when a huge uptick in human settlers came in, chasing the riches associated with Moonwood's mines or, more likely, the mills which the town would be eventually named after. But as time went on and the town went to ruin (some people theorize due to the wolves, some people theorize the town's natural industries just became less profitable in the age of technology), people abandoned it and opted to move to the newer city - Evergreen Harbor. (See, we came full circle!)
That kind of leads us to where I'm at in my game, in "modern day." A lot of time has passed, and Moonwood Mill has changed dramatically since its inception. I prefer to imagine that the remaining human locals are not fully aware of the werewolves living among them with 100% certainty, but there are legends and stories. The oldest locals cultivate and pass down not just the stories but the protective practices to their children and grandchildren as well: don't go into the woods on a full moon, if the woods get quiet out of nowhere stay calm and find the closest way out, close all the blinds when it gets dark, don't go out on a full moon, bring the animals in or secure them in the barn for their protection on full moon nights, if you hear a whistle in the woods do not whistle back, and so on. Unfortunately, those stories, wives' tales, and superstitions tend to attract potential enemies to werewolf-kind: rogue vampires seeking to harm werewolves and even occult hunters. HOWEVER, by retreating into the woods, The Collective are closer to what they believe is their spiritual source - Lunvik Lake - where the original mooncasters created werewolves and Myshupotamians worshipped the moon. By being closer to their source, they are strengthened and therefore able to keep out potential threats, protect their own pack, and watch over Moonwood Mill as a whole more effectively. I don't think the Wildfangs are particularly interested in this part of their Lyncanthropy - its something uniquely embeded in the history of The Collective and why it was created in the first place.
LASTLY, my Moonwood Mill/magic world in general is actually years ahead of where we start in game, and in my mind the magic world is on the precipice of another war (a long anticipated response after the destruction caused by Operation Eternal Flame. Vlad isn't one to take losses, and the Spellcaster/Vampire tensions are still very much palpable). I'm not going to get fully into all that, but I will say that the Wildfangs are a far more established pack, still led by their alpha, Rory (albeit a much older, wiser Rory) and The Collective is led by Rory's adoptive brother, Jacob Volkov, after their father (and former alpha of The Collective) Kristopher died. Although the tensions between the Wildfangs and The Moonwood Collective aren't as severe any more, they do still have trouble coexisting from an occult governance/council perspective. Again, I have a whole lore about occult governance as well, but I won't get into all that either haha. The TLDR is that there are two big issues between the Wildfangs and The Collective at the present moment: the first being how Rory has gone about growing the Wildfangs (by recruiting pack-less werewolves outside of Moonwood Mill, something The Collective has always been against since its inception) and second, their willingness to work with spellcasters if another occult war breaks out.
Okay... I'm done now! I'm cutting myself off! That may have been more than you were looking for...I'm truly sorry!!!
I hope I managed to answer your question (and some). Thank you for asking me about this, I literally never get to talk occult lore and it is one of my favorite things to explore in the sims!! I feel like no one cares about my occult headcanons and such... but sometimes that's all I want to talk about lmao. If I had the time and talent to make a story about this very topic, I WOULD! But for now this is all I have to offer <3
Thank you again for this ask, it made my week!!

since sans is of another world, is papyrus from another world too? are they from different worlds but just so happened to end up in the same one, or does papyrus belong to the world of undertale while sans doesn't?
things we know about sans in deltarune:
he has a younger brother, presumably kris' age or not much older considering he's very protective of him and acts like leaving them to hang out alone "in his house" would be irresponsible
that or he's just weird about his adult brother for no discernible reason. which I sincerely hope isn't the case because come on
ironically, while the skelebros house sprite in undertale is named sans' house, the one in deltarune is named "paphouse".
the game value that checks whether you've already talked to sans about his brother in ch1 when you see him again in ch2 is called "paptalk". it's not his full name, but i believe it's safe to assume that sans' as of yet unnamed brother in deltarune is still papyrus.
naming yourself or the vessel after papyrus in the goner maker sequence will get the prompt "an interesting coincidence" and the steam page (i think?) for deltarune says he's "busy" so it's highly lilely he'll play a role in the story.
still, like you said, part of the evidence that sans comes from deltarune is that he dies in a way that's different from every other character in undertale. papyrus included.
something else weird about his death: he's the only character who has color (red blood) in his sprite in the battle screen, which is strictly black and white. this is very obscure and likely means nothing, but there's a weird comment in the undertale crosstitch book about how you can color the battle sprites if you want to diversify things but they "won't be canon". what an interesting thing to say, why would they feel the need to specify that...
thing is, papyrus' death remains much more similar to ye average undertale monster death. so... what's up with that?
papyrus and sans showed up to snowdin one day out of the blue, though it's not explicitly stated, they most definitely got there together.
"where do skeletons come from" is a question posed more than one time, if jokingly, such as by the baby bunny in deltarune
the snowdin residents had never seen them around before. which can also mean absolutely nothing, because they didn't even recognize us as humans lmao
undertale papyrus appears to have never seen the sun before
there's always the "forgettable" check description in the genocide run that haunts my every waking hour.
which is a theme that recurs both in deltarune (the song "don't forget") and in undertale through sans' workshop and the hidden drawing with "don't forget" scribbled on it.
sans has an attack called "gaster blaster". in one of undertale's patches, a bit of dialogue was added when checking the box of attacks in his room if you abort your geno run with his fight about how with his special attack "you surely would've been BLASTED to..." with blasted highlighted in yellow. yeah. safe to assume he has those too.
his paper with Toby's original concept art/details about him had a bit about him having a [REDACTED] named [REDACTED], right under another line that read "has a brother named comic sans". if we take this mysterious presumed relative to be gaster, then his connection to him becomes even stronger
papyrus has a negative reaction to the CORE specifically (he gets inexplicably sad when we call him and he can see it in the distance) but also hotland in general.
Gaster created the CORE and "fell into his own creation". from the way it's phrased, it's highly likely it WAS in fact the CORE, even if it's just vague enough i have my doubts
i really have no idea! I'm heavily inclined to think that the papyrus we meet in undertale is NOT from deltarune/the papyrus we'll meet there, while sans is the same person. this opens some pretty complicated questions to answer, especially from lack of evidence as we're still in chapter 2 out of 7 and we haven't met papyrus yet.
what happens to deltarune papyrus by the end of the game?
if papyrus is from undertale, what happened to UNDERTALE'S sans when deltarune's version got isekaid
exactly how long ago did all of this go down?
sans likely worked with gaster at some point after arriving in undertale, where they found out about the anomaly "our analysis" (which is mostly flowey's work after being resuscitated ie: not in deltarune. the "our" also couldn't have been alphys instead because she gives no indication of being aware of the SAVE powers, the anomaly or time manipulation—though she DID study alternate universes! and she knows sans! interesting coincidence). if so, how is gaster involved with the fate of deltarune NOW, when sans is still there? sure, he was shattered through TIME and space, but wouldn't that constitute a paradox? of course, unless we take "another Him" literally and this isn't the same gaster as the one from undertale
if we go "papyrus is gaster" instead, why does he respond to "papyrus" in deltarune too, why isn't he just gaster (and why does the name "gaster" still crash the game)?
all in all, i DON'T think we have enough material to work with, especially with papyrus. sans had his arc, his lore you could find and piece together with a satisfying conclusion ingame (think of the narrative payback that's finally reaching the workshop behind their house) while papyrus', while still being as much if not even More befuddling, was... all over the place. unexplained. incomplete. you can't piece back much of anything about his past. which is why i have SUPER high expectations for him in deltarune. he's clearly being built up for SomeThing,and i think it's going to be a lore arc just like sans had in undertale, all to himself, while his brother is off having his hotgirl customer service summer with the local goats and... presumably getting sucked into another universe. whoops!
here's a link to the crosstitch page comment, courtesy of @undertale-encyclopedia (you're a godsend to theorists everywhere, thank you so much)
if you're interested in the otherworld/deltarune sans theory, then i cannot recommend @megaderping 's two videos enough, which showcase both its proof AND the contradictions and issues it brings up (HERE'S the original, and HERE's an addendum after some discussion on the previous video). she gathers and mentions pretty much EVERYTHING that made me believe in it in the first place, AND the bits that make me doubt my interpretation of it, though surprisingly i DON'T think they touch on the blood business, which is curious because it's such a big controversy even now. i also owe them and their discord friends credit for the "papvalues" discoveries in deltarune's code, as my hacking and cracking skills are non-existent.

The ¥1,000,000 Question (Demon Slayer)
Tumblr media
(Was gonna use a gif but they were all pretty heavy with flashing lights)
Okay so- I searched high and low in my inbox, checked both my phone and my desktop, and checked the drafts to see if somehow it ended up there, and yet...I can't find the ask for this request. To whomever requested Lee!Kokushibou, Ler!Akaza- I hope you like it! :D

“Ahehehehaha! Noohoohohohoho!”
“Yeeeeeees~” Akaza mocked playfully, fingers tapping gently across Rui’s belly and sides. “This is what you get for being such a sneaky brat- did you really think I wouldn’t see all those threads you’ve been leaving around?”
Rui couldn’t respond, far too giggly. Akaza chuckled as he let the spider roll away, catching his hands when he jumped up and tried to tickle him back. “Whohohoa there.”
“Heh, gotcha!!” Rui giggled, hands making grabby motions at Akaza’s belly while he struggled to break out of his grip. “Are all the Upper Moons ticklish?”
“All of them? No idea.” Akaza pulled him into his chest once more, tapping his fingers along his belly. “I know the brats are- as is Douma. If you pinch his neck he’ll scream like this.” He pressed into Rui’s belly, earning a squeal. “I don’t know about the Gyokko and Hantengu- they don’t like playing the way we do.”
Rui giggled helplessly as the tickles came to an end once more, slumped against Akaza’s chest. “Whahaht about Lord Kokushibou? Is he ticklish?”
“No idea. I never tried.”
“You never tried?” Rui turned so he was looking at him properly now, tilting his head curiously. “How come?”
“He’s not really the touchy-feely type. I don’t think he’d appreciate me just going up and tasering his ribs.” Akaza laughed softly, the idea so absurd it was hilarious. “I’d probably get scolded or worse doing that.”
“Hm…” Rui hummed, tapping his hands on his lap in thought. “Well…why not ask him if he’s ticklish? Worst thing that can happen is him choosing not to answer.”
Akaza went to respond, but…nothing came out. Rui wasn’t wrong- in fact; he was fairly dead on. Kokushibou wasn’t the type to react violently to a question- he had the patience of a saint and answered most if not all of Douma’s own inquiries. Would it be so different for him? “Who told you you could be so smart?” Akaza reached out, ruffling Rui’s hair.
~~~
In theory it worked flawlessly- the whole asking thing.
In execution though…
“Akaza.” Kokushibou’’s voice rumbled in his bones, shaking him to the core. “You’ve been staring at me for the past half hour. Is something the matter?”
Shit- he’d been caught. Akaza straightened, searching for words. “I eh..hey.”
“Hello to you too.” Kokushibou turned to look at him, six eyes breaking down his walls. “Yes?”
“I…” Might as well just get it out of the way. “Hey, Kokushibou, are you ticklish?”
Silence. Akaza regretted it the second it came out of his mouth, feeling those six eyes burn holes through him. He went to take it back-
“Yes.”
Akaza’s jaw hit the floor. His gaze snapped to Kokushibou, finding no anger or lie in his expression. If anything, the older demon seemed amused. “You are?”
“Last I’ve recalled.” His lips turned then, eyes clouding in thought. “Of course- that was back when I was human. Many things change when you’re turned.”
“Yeah, but Rui and I are-” Akaza began, slapping a hand over his mouth at the confession. Kokushibou’s mouth twitched, amusement returning. “Forget I said that. Well…you’re ticklish. Never would have known.”
“So it seems.”
“Great. Thanks Koku.” Akaza stood, stretching out. There; he accomplished his mission. Now he could report to Rui. “I appreciate it-”
“You don’t wish to try?” Kokushibou asked, nearly taking Akaza out when the stripped demon whirled around, shocked once more. “I assumed since you were asking you’d want to try it.”
“You….you’re serious?” He gaped, not trusting his hearing. Did Kokushibou just give him permission to tickle him? In response, Kokushibou turned so he was properly facing him, hands folded neatly in his lap and body relaxed- inviting even. It was clear as day; he was serious. “You’re not gonna chop my head off?”
“I have no intention of tricking you, Akaza.” The older demon almost sounded hurt. Akaza shook himself free of his thoughts before nodding, taking a seat before the other.
“Okay…wow. Never thought I’d do this before. Alright…is there anywhere you don’t want touched?” Akaza asked, waving his hands around. “Besides the obvious?”
“Anywhere is fine. You have my consent-I’ll let you know when I’ve had enough.” Kokushibou nodded, waiting. Akaza nodded again before raising his hands, willing them to stop shaking.
“Okay…here we go!” He snapped forward, going right for the ribs. That usually got a reaction from Rui.
At first- nothing happened. Kokushibou was like stone. Akaza almost gave up.
But then…
“Hmm! Hmhmhmhmhmmhmhhmm!” The older demon puffed out what sounded like deep chuckles, lips firmly closed but twitching in the corners. Akaza was amazed- holy crap it was WORKING. Feeling bold, he pressed in more, skittering his fingers up and down the other’s sides. “Mmmmmphehehehehehe!”
“Seems like you’re still ticklish, Kokushibou!” Akaza could feel himself grinning, delighted in the reaction. His hands stopped shaking so much as he let them wonder, seeking out new tickle spots. “What about here? Or here? Perhaps here?”
Turns out- Kokushibou had quite a few tickle spots. The sides of his stomach proved to be quite sensitive to prods, and the center of his armpits made him double over with a snort. His neck- oh man his neck! Very light scribbles against the base where his neck met his shoulders made him giggle like a child!
Granted- Akaza noticed, that spot made almost every demon in the moons react like that.
Perhaps it was Lord Muzan’s own tickle spot?
Scary. Back to Kokushibou.
“Ahehahahha! Ahehahhahhahahahha! A-Ahahhahakhahahahhahzahahhahha!” The six eyed demon called out for the first time, fist balled up against his Hakamas. His smile was small but genuine, and his laugh was rich and deep. “Thahahhat’s enohhoohohough!”
And thus, the tickling had come to an end. Akaza retracted his hands and scooted back, giving the older demon space. Kokushibou was still doubled over, hair falling and shadowing his expression as he tittered out a few more residue giggles. “Seems like we answered the Million Yen Question.”
“Y-yehhes…I suppose we hahave…” Kokushibou huffed, smiling through his bangs. “I have a question of my own for you, Akaza.”
Every nerve in the striped demon’s body tensed for an entirely new reason. “Oh?”
“Yes. It seems rather unfair that you get to tickle me…but I don’t get to tickle you.” Those six eyes bore into him again, but Akaza didn’t feel dread of fear this time. Instead, he twitched with anticipation. “So, I must ask…are you ticklish?”
“.....I think we both know the answer to that one.” Akaza laughed, starting to back away. “But I assure you- I’m not nearly as fun to tickle as Spidey-squirt, or even that rainbow idiot! They scream like little babies, you know-” He booked it, running for the door.
“So I’ve heard.” How’d Koku appear so quickly and silently? Akaza had no idea. All he knew is a hand was grasping the back of his vest and he just let out a sound he wasn’t proud of. “Humor me- let’s see if you do the same.”
Thanks for reading!
WIP Game Snippet (and Last Line Challenge)
So I'm starting at the bottom of my WIP Game snips this time--below you'll find my 25 sentences for Operation Groundhog AU (plus a little extra).
This is also gonna serve as my response to @frostbitebakery's tag for the Last Line Challenge!
Rules: in a new post, show the last line you wrote (or drew) and tag as many people as there are words (or as many as you feel like).
Open tags for that one. I've tagged too many people recently LOL
-
It’s not the Captain that finds them later, sitting in a little break room they’re definitely not supposed to be in and waiting for news. It’s one of the Admiral’s flag aides.
LCDR Sam Silenski, he introduces himself. Early forties, maybe, boxier build of a man who spends a lot of time behind a desk and makes up for it in a gym, a dark sweep of brown hair mixed with gray. One of the more senior members of Admiral Kazansky’s staff. His handshake’s firm when he shakes Ice’s and then Mav’s hands, gives them both a smile. “The Captain asked me to grab you two on the way out and get you back to base,” he says. “There’s not going to be much news tonight.”
“But it’s going okay?” Mav interjects, when Ice can’t manage to find the words to ask.
Silenski shrugs. “I have permission to inform you both that they avoided a respirator,” he offers. “Which is good, because the Admiral--” his eyes catch on Ice, and he clearly amends what he was going to say. “The Admiral doesn’t like being out of commission that long. He’s had to call in his deputy exactly once since assuming command, and… it was… not an enjoyable experience for anyone.”
Mav snickers, elbows Ice in the ribs. Ice finds a ghost of a smile to give him.
Silenski walks them out to his car--a beat up jeep, shit all over the back seat like most cars Ice has seen. The guy looks mildly embarrassed anyway when he realizes, glancing at Ice like he’s expecting Ice to have especially stringent back seat-related standards. Ice opts not to mention that he thinks he left a gym bag with dirty clothes in his own car’s back seat before he deployed. He thinks he’s getting a sense of the mystique his older self’s been cultivating with his staff, and he doesn’t want to ruin it by being too human.
It’s a weird thing to be thinking about, but it’s better than--
Well. It’s just better.
Ice ends up taking the front seat, by virtue of having longer legs. It’s a relatively quiet trip back to the assigned housing they’d shoved Ice and Mav into at the start of last week. Mav and Silenski make small talk--baseball, and San Diego weather, and a little of what being a flag aide is like.
“I have a good job,” Silenski says, shrugging. “Good pay, interesting work. A boss who maybe could stand to take a vacation occasionally.”
“I don’t think Ice’s had that word defined for him,” Mav jokes, grinning.
“What’s a vacation?” Ice asks dutifully, and Silenski snorts.
“Alright, alright, I’ll tell them to update the betting pool,” Silenski says, and pulls up to the shitty little bungalow Ice and Mav are sharing. “Ah, Kazansky.”
Ice pauses, door open and halfway out of the car.
Silenski looks at him for a minute, mouth twisted up, and then nods. “It really is a pleasure to meet you. Sorry about the weird circumstances.”
Ice nods. “You too,” he says. “Thanks for the ride.” He gets out and closes the door before the conversation can turn to… anything else.
The Flower Prince: Gather 'round The Campfire
Prompt- At first, he felt prideful of the praise his teammate [Sakura] was getting from the Prince. But the moment he saw the blush on her face and the arm around her waist, pride was no longer what he was feeling.
It was Naruto who had found a safe place to make camp, a small clearing surrounded by massive trees nestled next to a cave where they could sleep, a small stream only a five-minute walk away. Daiki, ever eager, was instructed by Kakashi on how camping worked and how they would set up their camp. Sakura was quite annoyed that Daiki had decided on camping- she had already made detailed plans for what she’d do once they’d arrived at the Flower Village. Said plan involved convincing Sasuke to come with her to try some of the festival games and watch the fireworks, something she’d assumed they’d have for Daiki’s return. Building up the courage to do so, she made her way to the stream where Sasuke was fishing to ask him.
Approaching the focused boy she noted that he seemed hyper-focused on the flowing water, like he was lost in thought. “Sasuke-kun?” she tentatively asked. Sasuke glanced at her an indication for her to go on. “I was wondering when we get to the village would you want to-” A huge splash cut her off as both she and Sasuke turned to the source of the disruption.
“Eh?!” Naruto whined as he brought his head up from under the water. He stood, his new attire fully soaked and the firewood he had been instructed to fetch now wet rendering it useless for a fire.
“Naruto!” Sakura yelled, concern just as evident as the suppressed laughter, “Are you okay?” She had made her way over to where the jinchuriki had fallen in. He nodded in affirmation and complained about someone tripping him even though no one was near. After Sauke commented on it being a ghost, he quickly shut up and scurried his way back to camp scavenging anything that could replace the now-soaked firewood. Sakura allowed a smile to form on her face before turning to look at Sasuke- who already had his eyes on her. Her face burned as she looked away and mumbled about helping him catch fish.
Shaking his head he brought the almost full bucket in his right hand. “We should head back.” his voice plain. After two minutes of silence, Sakura decided to break the silence.
“Daiki seems nice doesn’t he?”
Sasuke only shrugged.
“I mean he’s much better than some of the other escort missions we’ve had, remember Hitoshi- san? We had to carry him to the sand village.” Sakura reminisced.
“You mean Naruto had to,” Sasuke smirked. Sakura let out a small giggle. She enjoyed spending alone time with Sasuke. Although he wasn’t as social as she’d like him to be, she was happy that he’d listen to her and often entertain her conversation- although she knew he wasn’t always fully there.
“I was going to ask earlier Sasuke-kun, but would you want to go to the festival with me tomorrow?” she eagerly waited as no response came. Sasuke simply stayed silent, as if contemplating a life-altering decision. “No worries if not, I’ll enjoy it myself. I’ll make sure to win you something too!” A strained smile made its way onto her lips, glassy eyes not shining as they usually did.
“I’ll think about it.” Was his final response as they entered the campsite, he parted ways with her as he headed to make the fire. Smiling brighter now, Sakura went to set up their sleeping bags in the cave, making sure to place hers right next to Sasuke’s.
“Ne Daiki, how old are you?” Naruto inquired as they sat by the fire, fish and a small portion of rice cooking.
“I’m 14, I'll be 15 in a few months. Why?” the brunette tilted his head to the side.
“Wha-?!” Naruto nearly jumped off the log he sat on at this revelation, “Then how are you a prince- you’re barely older than we are!” he gestured towards himself and his teammates.
“Well…” Daiki paused in contemplation, “I’m technically not a prince or anything, I’m the heir to the Yamanaka clan in my village. My dad is basically in charge there- similar to what a Hokage is in your village except we’re civilians. If my dad were to die, get too old to perform his duty, or if he resigns then I would take charge.”
“So you’re a prince?” Naruto restates, confused as what Daiki described sounds like a prince to his understanding.
“I guess so but I don’t have a kingdom or anything. When I think of a prince I think of all those fantasy stories- so in that sense no.” Daiki lets a gentle chuckle escape his lips.
“But you are the son of a monarch who’s in charge of a village, it doesn’t have to be a massive kingdom or anything.” Sakura explains, “So you are a prince by definition.” She states matter of factually.
Naruto gasps at this- “So does that mean when I become Hokage I’ll be king?” his voice low as if he were discussing top secret information.
“No.”
“No one asked you teme!” Naruto glares at his teammate who meets his glare with just as much intensity.
“Sasuke’s right Naruto,” Kakashi adds.
“Oh.” Naruto sulks staring up into the night sky, his stomach rumbling. It had been three hours since they first made camp and he was starving. He’d never admit it out loud, but right now he hated Daiki for making them camp out. They would’ve been at the flower village by now staying in the compound’s comfortable guest quarters after being treated to a five-course meal prepared by the best chef around, instead, they had to eat boring ol’ fish and share two portions of rice because the prince wanted to. Naruto rolled his eyes at the thought and tried to shake his discomfort. His mind traveled to recent events.
A lot had happened since the formation of Team 7, Naruto himself had grown a lot from the neglected little boy to a slightly less neglected teen with some respect being put on his name. His teammates had also done a lot of growing. Yet Sasuke was the one who’d puzzled him the most, his personality was always so wish-washy that he’d have better luck making sense of tidal waves than Sasuke’s moods. It was ironic, the stoic member was the most emotional out of them- and they were on a team with Sakura who bore her feelings on her sleeve. Even so, Sasuke had learned to work with him and count on him which Naruto knew Sasuke hated.
In his own strange way, Sasuke had grown to care about his team despite his efforts not to. Naruto grinned at this. Sasuke really was an idiot, despite his best efforts to push them away he only solidified their bonds- especially with Sakura. Now, Naruto wasn’t stupid. He knew the extent of Sakura’s feelings for Sasuke. She put her life at risk to save Sasuke, she had cried when they all thought he was dead, she showered him with undeserved affection, and even caught him when he’d fall both emotionally and physically. Sakura had developed real feelings for that undeserving jerk, she loved Sasuke. The hug she had given Sasuke at the hospital was confirmation of this- it was such an intimate moment that even he had caught on. But… Naruto wasn’t sure if Sasuke felt the same. Yes, he did care about her but did that go any further than comradery? Looking over at the two he pondered on this.
“Naruto-san?” Daiki, who had suddenly appeared next to him, piped up. Startled by the sudden appearance Naruto flinched back. “Ah, I didn’t mean to scare you. You looked lost in thought but I have something important to ask you.”
“What?” he leaned forward, genuinely interested in what he wanted to ask. “Is- God this is embarrassing-” Daiki blushed and lowered his voice, “Is Sakura seeing anyone? Like… does she have a boyfriend?”
Naruto’s eyes widened at this. “Uhhhh, no?” Although coming out as more of a question Daiki’s face lit up.
“Oh- that’s great! You know, Sakura’s an interesting girl, I’d like to get to know her more.” he bashfully confessed. Naruto wasn’t sure how to respond, he’d never heard anyone so outwardly display an interest in his female teammate besides Lee.
“Why don’t you go talk to her, then?” the sudden sound of Kakashi’s voice startled the boys. Kakashi remained in his squat position next to them, sparing a smile as he continued to read his book adding, “I bet she’d want company at the festival, I overheard she was looking for someone to go with.”
Gobsmacked, Naruto looked at his sensei as if he was insane. Although never confirmed, it was pretty established that Sakura was set on Sasuke. However, Daiki would treat Sakura better than Sasuke ever could, hell he’d already displayed that. Gah- this was none of his business, although aloof, Naruto knew when to stay out of something… on certain occasions.
-
“We could be in a warm bed right now.” Sakura grumbled as she sat down on her sleeping bag next to Sasuke, who nodded in agreement. “It’s a good thing Kakashi makes us bring our sleeping bags just in case, it finally came in use.”
“Hn. We wouldn’t have to if we just kept going.” Sasuke added, a subtle jab to the prince.
“Yeah.” the kunoichi continued, “I don’t know why Kakashi agreed to the idea.” She yawned and allowed her head to fall onto Sasuke’s shoulder. The rise and fall of his shoulders as he breathed luring her deeper into her drowsiness.
“If you’re that tired then go to sleep.¨ He softly moved his shoulder causing a piece of her hair to cover her face. Moments like this had started to feel normal to him, her touches being such a common occurrence that he no longer felt the need to fight them, not that he felt the urge to anymore. Her tired eyes looked into his before she gave him a small smile and nodded.
Slowly pulling herself off his shoulder and settling into her sleeping bag she slowly spoke, “Good night Sasuke-kun.”
“Go to sleep, Sakura.”
The most recent asks made me think of this.
How would the victims in 69 react to their Killers' execution? Same with 96, but cut out poor Bojack, for obvious reasons.
I assume by “most recent” you mean the slightly older asks by now (you can tell how long it has been and I will not stop apologising)
Now we can only hope no one who hasn’t read the fics comes across this post
DR69
Mr. Krabs (-> Mario): Krabs wouldn’t have appreciated being tricked with money like that, so going in he feels a little justified. However, upon watching Mario’s determination, and acceptance, he can’t help but feel a sense of sympathy towards his strength, especially facing death in front of his brother.
Dedede (-> Ashely): Dedede was pretty angry for being killed, especially by someone he deemed rather small. He was shocked when Red saved Ashley from falling, but a part of him felt bad once the two were both killed, their friendship reminding him of his own with people like Escargoon (and Kirby to a degree).
2D (-> Teto): As he didn’t see his killer (as that hand message was created by Miku), if we assume 2D thought it was Teto at first, he would be pretty devastated someone who he thought he could trust by proxy of Miku would do something like that to him. He’d watch her get executed, but he wouldn’t have much of an opinion. I say this because he often puts up with harassment from Murdoc, so he’d just be more or less speechless this is how things came to be.
(Bonus, Miku -> Teto: You know a bit of Miku’s reaction at the end of chapter 3, but for more detail, she found it entertaining but a little depressing. Even if she knew the execution was fake, a part of her didn’t want to see Teto partaking in it).
Peter (-> Sans): Peter wouldn’t really know why Sans was in a giant hall, or why the bear kept multiplying like a sci-fi clone movie, but it was a bit cool to watch, to say the least. That was, until the weirdo stepped in. If it was early seasons Peter he would be more sympathetic to the situation is all I’ll say.
Fluttershy (-> Brian): Hopeful their plan would work, only to see it cause another death did hurt Fluttershy. However, as Brian exposed himself to protect Parappa, she understood the sacrifice. She definitely cried a lot when Brian was being approached by the car, and a small part of her knew he was going to do something with the gun I believe, from what she knew previously.
DR96
Walter (-> Hiroshi): Walter Hartwell White pours himself a whisky and takes a big sip in lawful justice… sorta. He was pretty mad he was bested by some young man he hardly knew, and didn’t feel all that bad watching him die. Maybe it’s that idea that he would be okay with poisoning a child but that hasn’t happened so what does he know (dripping in sarcasm).
Retsuko (-> Kaidou): Retsuko was pretty upset dying so young, especially with a close call in the past. However, she can’t really bring herself to hate Kaidou, and got a bit teary at the end of his execution when Saiki showed up. She doesn’t know if she can entirely forgive him, but she feels horrible about the punishment he faced.
Yuri (-> Mai): For ruining her plans, Yuri is pretty peeved at Mai. She feels as if it was an “I told you so” moment as she gets executed par the death game cycle. Even if so many of her friends were affected. Although… No. No change of heart here. Those final moments were just human instinct.
(Bonus, Ena -> Natsuki: I feel like Ena would handle death quite differently from most people, being pretty indifferent towards their killer. Considering the circumstances as well, Ena is happy Natsuki wasn’t executed.)
