After being abducted by two aliens, their spaceship crashes and leaves you stranded on a galaxy called 'Aquarii", which is populated by a species called 'Mitans'.

You're taken in by the Queen of Aquarii, where she reveals you are a child of one of Aquarii's gods. A cool idea in theory, but it appears the Mitan's aren't particularly happy with a human being half-god.

The queen believes that your arrival is a sign an upcoming war between Mitans and gods can be prevented, while others believe this war is inevitable.

As you are forced to fight for your right to live, you're left with one question:

Can a universe survive without gods?

Choose your pronouns, sexuality, and appearance.

Join forces with an unusual group of aliens with unique features.

Choose between five RO's, two female, two male, and one non-binary option.

Become a demigod and pick one of twelve gods to be the child of.

Deal with a strange device that has been turned against you and the Mitans (along with the alien that built it).

And fight an emperor!

RO Descriptions

Liviana Vlahos, The Queen (she/her)- The queen of Aquarii and all Mitans, she is beloved by all her people for defeating the tyrant who ruled before her. She was kind enough to lend her hand in your time of need, but it's hard to tell if she genuinely cares for you. If you don't prove to be helpful, she may just throw you into the fray.

Estelle Alinac, The Chief (she/her)- The chief of the Justice Association of Aquarii, Estelle is known to be a cold and intimidating woman. She doesn't like you, or humans, and makes that abundantly clear every time you talk to her.

Amare Mailon, The Recruit (he/him)- A new member of the Justice Association of Aquarii, Amare can appear quite naive and unserious. With others, he's sarcastic and witty, but with you, he's nervous and paranoid. Being a member of the JAA, anyone would assume he's just worried about something happening to you. But you know from the way his eyes flick to your arms and legs that the fear runs deeper. You can't tell which matters more to him; stopping a war, or preventing humans from finding Aquarii. Ellery Torres, The Doctor (he/him)- Liviana's personal doctor and the most renowned doctor in the galaxy, Ellery appears as someone you can trust. He can make you feel at ease with his playful humor and light-hearted personality. He has sworn to the queen that he will do everything in his power to keep you alive and healthy. He doesn't appear threatening, but who can you trust in this unknown galaxy?

Vega Ramos, The Mastermind (they/them)- Not much is known about the one who lives in the apartment on Fiery Pass, but it's kind of weird how they never turn their purple lights out...

You've been tasked to help her mask and get comfortable with her supernatural powers, but she won't make it easy for you. After all, foxes do bite.

| You don't know too much about Huayun, except for the fact that she lives in Diyu, the Chinese Underworld. As Diyu's gatekeeper, Huayun has seen countless depravities committed by humans before their deaths. That alone has made it hard for her to like them, and the contempt she shows you is no different than what she shows everyone else.

But with time, maybe she'll finally learn what it is like to feel human…and what a smile is.

He’s not quite sure what version of Buck he got back." Orpheus and Eurydice vibes but somehow more heartbreaking because it's the Boys? Literally every chapter I was gobsmacked and the fact that I couldn't read it in one sitting due to Life™️ was frankly criminal.

You can’t touch us, is what the kiss said. ‘I love you,’ I told her, and as I smelled her skin, I knew I had never wanted anyone or anything more than I wanted her…” Buck trails off when Eddie reaches for the book, gently luring it out of his grasp. " One of the best getting together fics I've read. So sweet, so hot, full of feels, and also just very 🤯 in many places. Just insanely well written and perfect imagery.

A roommate in a one-bedroom apartment should be fine. Even if there's only one bed, right? They're never even going to meet each other since they keep opposite schedules. But Steve can't live with someone he barely knows, he has a weird curiosity about his quirky roommate. He has a genius solution and they begin to communicate through notes.

A modern AU where, after his relationship with Nancy flames out in spectacular fashion, Steve finds himself feeling increasingly depressed and adrift. With nothing better to do with his time, he gives in when Dustin begs him to join his online DnD game to round out the party. To his surprise, he finds himself really enjoying it--the guy running the game is amazing, and super patient when Steve doesn't get something. He and their DM, Eddie, often find themselves talking on the games Discord server for hours after their session ends. For the first time since Nancy left him, he's starting to feel like things aren't so bleak. Still, when he has an opportunity to take Dustin and the others to the big gaming convention Eddie's planning on attending a few states away so they can all meet in person for a one-shot session, he's nervous. Really nervous. Like...way more nervous than he should be, just meeting a friend. Eddie IS just a friend...right?

12 Days of WIP/Fic Recs: Day #7

Speaking of writeblrs that need no introduction: @pens-swords-stuff is an amazing and incredibly supportive member of the community.  Undine has plenty of fantastic writing advice posts—but she’s also an incredible writer with some really amazing WIPs, and the one I’m going to throw at you today is Always the Bridesmaid.

Always the Bridesmaid is a murder mystery crossed with a fake dating story.  The story involves two private detectives—Victoria Price and Nathan Howard—that have been hired to investigate two murders that, after some digging, may both lead back to the same culprit.  While these two detectives don’t like each other much, they’re willing to work together to try and find the murderer—and, since the victims seemed to have been involved in a wedding party prior to their death, the two of them decide to plan a fake marriage in order to lure the target in.

Naturally, this is an absolutely amazing premise—a fake wedding to try and solve a murder is already incredibly interesting, but that combined with the interesting character dynamics between the two main characters and I’m absolutely sold.  Both what we’ve gotten from the character introductions and the story snippets so far has made me incredibly invested in these two, and I can’t wait to see where the story goes.

ao3 writers I love you and see you and I know it can be demoralizing when the fic you’ve worked so hard on doesn’t get nearly enough reception as you’d hoped. Whether that’s in the form of hits or kudos or bookmarks or comments. I know it’s frustrating, but just know… there’s often no rhyme or reason to it. no discernible algorithm at play here.

please remind yourself that low numbers are NOT an inherent reflection on the quality of your work. I’ve read incredible, downright masterful stories that have just a few kudos and a handful of bookmarks; and I’ve read extremely popular fics that I simply don’t vibe with. And everything in between. There are so many factors involved—how big the fandom is, how popular the ship is, what kind of tags are included, how other people filter and search for fics, etc. etc... the list TRULY goes on. all this to say, the stats absolutely shouldn't be the thing that keeps you from writing.

be kind to yourself. keep creating, if that's something you want to do and have the energy for. please don't get discouraged. your art matters and is worth so much more than you might think.

'i'm going to be late,' says harry.

‘You’re not going to be anything,’ Draco says, a little petulant. ‘I didn't ask—’

‘Except,’ says Harry, and he’s still so amused. Only the whetted edge of his words, the hint of something darker, sharper, gives him away. ‘I’m going to be late.’

Oh. Well, then.

Harry rises from the bed and Draco misses his closeness immediately. He wonders when this will fade— the need to keep Harry near, the comfort of his presence. It's been seven years, and Draco wants him closer than ever— wants, always, to touch him. To be touched.

Harry is across the room, rummaging in the sock drawer for— oh holy Salazar.

He snaps on the gloves once he finds them, the wrist straps smooth and buttery. Draco wants to put his mouth to the juncture of his hand and forearm, that soft, supple place where leather meets skin. He wants to taste Harry’s fluttering pulse, lick it, drag it down to where he’s hard and aching and ready.

‘Robards,’ Harry says, advancing, ‘will have me doing paperwork for months.’

‘You really could leave,’ Draco says. Harry’s almost upon him again.

‘Tell me how I’m supposed to leave when you look like that.' Harry puts one crisply trousered knee up on the bed. It presses into the rumpled duvet, hard and unrelenting. Draco’s breath hitches. ‘Seriously, Draco, tell me how I can leave when— Merlin. All I want to do is push you back, hold you down against those damn pillows, and— Jesus. God, fuck. Draco, I need to have you.’
