Thanks for asking! I accidentally deleted my initial response to this so I'm going to go hide in a corner, I think. Anyway, I used little spiral things so hopefully it's clear what I went for.

Honestly, when I first read GtN, I liked Fifth and Sixth House but it was in a kind of "we hardly knew ye" way. So I thought Cam was neat and I thought Pal was super neat, but I was much more into the mystery aspects of the book. It actually took me until NtN for me to actually become properly attached to Cam, but I suspect I'll understand a lot more about her when I get around to a full reread of the series.

I think with Cam, she's generally the most sensible person in the room, unless it's about Pal and then her objectivity goes out the window. But her objectivity goes out of the window in a self-aware way? She knows she's biased here and she doesn't care to shield herself against it, which is why it's so tragic when she has to face the consequences of that. You can't talk about Cam without also talking about Pal because they're so codependent. That's why Paul was inevitable.

"If anything happens to them" and "canon isn't real", well, let's just say I have some mixed feelings about Paul. I'll have to see what happens with them come Alecto, but at least as of Nona, it feels like both of campal are gone and it's an irreversible reaction as far as we know. And yes, it was their choice. It seemed like their only route to some form of survival.

But Paul still told Nona that they would pick an option that neither Cam nor Pal would. What is it like to lose yourself to the very one you would dedicate yourself to? To mutually subsume each other until you're neither pink nor blue but purple? They aren't either of Cam or Pal. They're gone and someone entirely new is in their place.

🛏️ What does your OC’s bed look like? What would they like their bed to look like?

Lucifer does not sleep and has never slept and in general has been allergic to comfort for most of his life (not in a Catholic way, more so in a “I’d rather be up and about” kind of way), but he does have something of an underground salt spring in his kingdom that serves as a sensory deprivation chamber. So he can just lie back and disappear into those Demigod of Knowledge racing thoughts. It’s almost always work related, but lately he has had… extracurriculars to think about. Such as fatherhood

He does sort of wish he could sleep just because he wants to experience everything, but also feels like it would just be a big waste of time for him. He can enter dream like states that are actually useful and he is fully in control of. That being said, he recently developed a fondness for cuddling, and he would like his bed to look like anything that includes his wife (even perhaps resting on her coiled up snake body).

🌧️ What is the favorite thing for your OC to do on a rainy day?

Same as ever - play! But I think his favorite comes during thunderstorms, in which he likes to fly through the clouds and attract lightning. It gives him a temporary boost of energy, whether that’s from the electricity itself or the thrilling stimulation of it. Stormy days are probably good days to fly in his full form anyway, to obscure him from surface dwelling mortals.

I also think he is probably like Phyllis and says lots of cliches during the rain (unaware that they are cliches). “The plants are gonna love this” being a big one, “I actually sleep better when it’s raining”, and a slightly modified “This weather makes me want to stay at home doing art”

🎒If your OC had to pick three things of all their belongings to keep, which would they choose?

WELL, the choice itself would be easy - his wedding ring, the wolf ornament that Ronan bought for him on their first date, and Emma’s scarf. Any one of his and Ronan’s wedding photos would be contenders, but James could probably get them new prints.

But he would be completely devastated if he had to get rid of his centuries-old collections. “NO THOSE ARE MY TREASURES” but like, legitimately
