Chocolate Eyes
With a single stroke,
you touch heaven and my heart
bring us to the very end,
then back to the earliest start.
The days, the sadness, the fears
were our reconciliation,
yet sometimes tore us apart.
Will you retell me the story,
Dear boy with the chocolate eyes?
That the weak in strength’s disguise
Are strong.
That her tears will one day be a song,
That two friends do not lie
when they swear they love each other.
That the pain will not kill them
When they see them with another.
If they are side by side,
But not together.
Will I love you more tomorrow?
Our relationship was a failure and ended in sorrow.
I, that loves you now
Wishes she can erase you from memory
Somehow.
Or Remember you
And forget the boy of the chocolate eyes
That told me No lies,
That kept the world beautiful in my eyes.
That was weak, but in strength’s disguise.
I miss him so much,
And Still love him Very much.
With you, I failed for the first time
and it makes it the worst time,
and it makes you the worst man,
Whom I love only in reminiscence of him,
who made me smile from ear to ear.
The boy of the chocolate eyes - Ever dear.

Is she fiercely independent
Or incompetent
At letting anyone in?

“Everyone says love hurts, but that is not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful again. Love is the only thing in this world that does not hurt.”

I live my life convinced that I forgot you,
Somedays, that I never even loved you!
Then you come to me in a dream,
And the healing must restart
All over again.
