More creatures from the dragon sketchbook! These are some of my favorites so far. I’ve started inking them and I’m really enjoying it. I’ve always loved art with lots of hatching.
A lot of people really liked the crimson loftwing I felted last week, which was really cool! I’m having a hard time deciding what to felt next, so if there’s anything y’all wanna see, please let me know!
Some sketches from my dragon sketchbook! I have a lot of fun with these. We got Siv, Shizen, Skadi, my dog Lyra as a dragon, and what Lou would look like if they were strong enough to take a dragon form.
@waterbrand101 Thank you! Needle felting is actually super easy to get into! One of the best things about it is that even a novice can make really high quality stuff with the right instruction! I’m not kidding when I say that I literally felted for the first time about a month ago. It does take a lot of patience, though. And you will stab yourself many times.
@mememan93 thank you!! I actually just started needle felting for the first time a few weeks ago. The secret is pipe cleaners! They’re not very strong but they do provide some structure and the wool roving sticks to the fuzz super well! Other than that, just a lot of patience, general disregard for my fingers (I’ve poked myself so many times), and a general idea of anatomy doesn’t hurt either. Hope this helps!
This is my favorite character to draw, Skadi. They’re a Felvaxian, part feline and part raven, and based on a Somali cat. They hate strangers but they LOVE their friends.
