Update:

Hey guys, I know this is a little out of blue but I wanted to make an update because I have to apologize about the lack of October projects I promised.

You see, me and family are going to be moving states pretty soon and it’s just been taxing on all of us. And honestly I have not been doing great mentally and it’s been making me not want to draw at all.

Right now I’m doing better but we’re now in the beginning stages of moving and I don’t know if I’ll have the time or the energy to finish the Spooky’s Jumpscare Mansion series until, at best, the end of November or, at worst, the end of January. I don’t really have a clear timeline on anything yet.

I hope you guys can understand and again I’m sorry.

So for context, my family and I saw Thor: Love and Thunder when it came out in theaters and once we were out of the theater my Grandma turned to me and said “Hey, those chickens at the beginning looked like that big red bird you’re always drawing.” She’s talking about my character Halcón who is being depicted here and I literally started picturing a bunch of ideas for drawings as soon as she said that. So, thank you for the inspiration, grandma! The reason why I drew this so much later after the movie came out is because I didn’t want to spoil the movie for anyone who didn’t see it yet and just procrastination.

As far as the story behind these two pictures goes; I like to think that after their battle with Thor and the Guardians, a handful of surviving Booskans marauders would set up camp on a deserted planet. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to them, the reason why it was deserted was because of the dangerous creatures inhabiting it, one of them being Halcón. They eventually run into him and he interrogates them on why they’re there and they give him this made up sob story about how they had been refugees for a while and kept getting run out by all the inhabitants on all the planets the visited. Their most recent and violent eviction being on Indigarr and at the hands of the all mighty Thor. Two things: one, Halcón doesn’t have anyway of getting information about what’s happening outside of the planet he’s on, except for word of mouth from visitors and they don’t usually stay or last long. And two, if there’s one thing that he hates more than humans, large crowds, and for some reason foxes, it’s harm against the helpless. He believes they’re story, joins their team, and after some time he becomes their new leader and employs new defense techniques and strategies which basically boils down to “shoot the target from far away and I’ll do the up-close combat.” Eventually they cross paths with the Space Viking again and were able to overpower him, which leads us to the scene in the first picture.

And that’s about it for this odd kind of fan fiction I came up with. Fun thing I’ll leave off with is that one of the defense procedures that Hal put into place for the team is that before riding their flying motorcycles they have to put on goggles and keen and elbow pads. And this isn’t some genius strategy, like little knives aren’t going to come out of the keen pads, it’s just so that if they fall off their bikes they won’t get hurt or get anything in their eyes when flying.
