Sketch
yeah, looks pretty crappy right now but it’s in the very rough stages of sketching.
Just started getting into God of War and it’s already one of my favorites. What do you think 🫣

Forgive me!
okay, so I’m having a bit of an ADHD moment and I apologize for that. I will do the Arya Gang drawing, I promise but I need a bit of a break from ASOIAF for a bit. I’ve been doing nothing but reading, listening, doodling ASOIAF and now I’m a little worn out with it. I have found a new saga I am in love with, so until I feel a little less worn out with ASOIAF I’ll be talking about that, which will show up in my next post once I’ve finished with a rough sketch I’m doing for it. Sorry about that, but Arya’s Gang will be doodled! Happy belated Thanksgiving!

Where the heck is Rickon, and what is he doing?
As we know, Rickon Stark is the youngest and least known of all the Stark kids. The main question is, where is he and what in the world is he doing? Let’s discuss;
Where is Rickon Stark?
With Osha in Skagos.
Skagos is an island off The Bay of Seals, East of Eastwatch-by-the-sea. Not much is known about the island, other than its feared reputation of the Skagosi’s cannibalistic nature and their shaggy unicorns.
But why Skagos? It’s known that the Skagosi are of the North, and are supposed to bend the knee to House Stark however they had previously revolted, killing thousands, including of the then Lord of Winterfell. Now, they tend to keep to themselves.
Okay, so, Osha brought a Stark boy to a place where the people rebelled against Starks. Not really a great combination, but who’s to say Osha won’t fake his name? The boy doesn’t look Stark at all, so it would be fairly easy to give him a new identity and just pass him off as someone else, like we see with both of his sisters, primarily Arya.
His age helps more, and the fact that the entire realm thinks he’s dead. Skagos would and perhaps is the perfect hiding spot for him. We learn in a Dance with Dragons, Chapter 29, Davos IV, about Skagos’ reputation for eating the flesh of men for breakfast, so I think it’s very safe to say no one is going to look for a “dead” boy there.
However, it’s really hard to believe Osha purposefully would bring harm to the boy as we can tell she begins to grow to deeply care for Bran and Rickon during her time with them. I don’t truly believe Skagos is as dangerous as they really say, I just think the people want to be left alone. Some of the stories might be true, but I believe most are legend. I think the Skagosi want to be left alone and feared because of what is on their land. Roose Bolton tells Theon Greyjoy in A Dance With Dragons, Chapter 32, Reek III, that only the heart trees know what happens on Skagos, which adds to the idea that they want to be left alone.
This all leads to the next question. What the heck is Rickon doing there? Well, what did I say before? The Skagosi want to be left alone and feared because of what is on their land. What is that exactly?
Magic.
If anyone has listened to The Order of the Greenhand, I just want to say their idea of what Rickon Stark is doing on Skagos is very similar to mine.
I think Rickon is a very powerful, probably the most powerful of his siblings other than Bran, skinchanger. This is proved in multipul Bran chapters where his little brother seems to be in full control of Shaggydog, unlike how his sister, Arya, can warg her wolf, but isn’t truly in control. I believe that this magic he has is going to be very important in the future and the Long Night.
I think Osha saw this, too, and decided to bring him to the most magical place she could. So what is he doing? This kid is training.
While Bran trains with his mind, Jon trains with the sword, Sansa her lies and Arya in the arts of the Faceless Men, Rickon Stark is learning the art of his magic.
What do you think? Is he going to be a magical player of the game, or do you think something different?
