[The blue espeon speaks telepathically] Forgive me for getting personal, but can you be sure that your pokemon will not just come looking for you? What would happen if you were to release your pokemon and they would still want to see you again?

My master... He went missing one day... I searched for him and never found him.

I know this is not the same situation as mine, but pokemon that really care would not let you go that easily, they would still long for you, I know this feeling first hand.

Belle: They may very well miss me. I know I will miss them. But this doesn’t have to be goodbye forever. I will return to visit. Puddles knows that. And so does Blue. But for now, I’m in no state to continue caring for them…

Belle: I’m very sorry to hear about your human. I hope he is alright, and that you can find him soon. I know what it’s like to lose somebody… I wish you all the best in finding some kind of closure…

@llndeasjourney Llndea: You say it's a trainer's job to keep their pokemon safe from harm. But don't you think just leaving like that is harmful to them?! I don't know how long you've spent with them, but that wishiwashi looked like it was ready to jump back out the water for you! Are you really just gonna give up on yourself and your pokemon!? If that's the case then you really aren't a trainer at all

Belle: They were living just fine on their own before I met them… and now they’re even stronger than before. I care deeply about these Pokemon. I would not be releasing them like this if I had any doubts about their safety in the wild. I am not just leaving them in whatever random area seems okay… they are going home.

Belle: As for the rest of your question… Yes. You’re right. I’m not a Pokemon trainer. And I don’t deserve to be called one.

Belle: I know my Pokemon want to stay with me. That makes this even harder. They would stick by my side though anything, even this. They haven’t done anything wrong.

...I just hope they understand.

How do you think your storytelling skills have improved since you started making stories?

Oh, this will be the first time I’m actually even attempting a blog with a story! My other blogs are usually just pure silliness… I like to come up with characters and imagine them in different situations more than telling a structured story. But I would like to change that, hence why I wanted to give this a shot >w<

Here’s hoping it goes well! Or at least that I will learn something lol

Sorry for the lack of posts over here! I decided at the last possible moment that I wanted to do artfight, so I’ve been updating character refs to do that. I took the opportunity to finally make a decent ref of Belle though, so here’s your girl!!!

Speaking of which I may take a short break from this blog whilst artfight is underway. I hate to do that as we just got started and I wanna GO but also I don’t want to overwhelm myself so much. So, don’t expect a lot of activity here until July is over.

What are some of your favorite movies?

Hmm… actually not a real big movie fan so this question is kinda hard for me haha. I like animated movies of course. Basically any Pokémon movie is good.

Oh I saw the recent Chip n Dale film (Rescue Rangers) and my Godddd I love it so much. Obsessed with that movie’s aesthetic and premise.

What do you like about the askblog format for storytelling?

What a great question. I like that it is so interactive. Its almost similar to DMing for D&D. You have this idea of a story and a world, and instead of telling it from a vacuum, you’re sharing it live with your audience and taking their input. For me, its a lot more fun that way.

Also, you could be trying to go one way for your story, but someone from your audience can send you an ask out of left field that makes you think about something you hadn’t considered before. Giving your audience the option to send in this kind of feedback sorta gives you a probe into their minds; it lets you know what your audience is thinking, what’s confusing to them, what they care about/want to see more of, and what they think is important. This can help you drive the story and tell it in a more effective way, and also what might not be working the way you intended.

Finally, I like ask blogs from the perspective of the audience. I love the option to interact with characters from a story you enjoy, and sometimes you can feel like you contributed or made a difference to that story, almost like you’ve been included in it.
