Crossing the lobby, Reeves silently side-eyes a case of Gucci Chateau merch. A woman sees it’s Keanu Reeves crossing the lobby and gulps—like audibly gulps.
He’s shown to a semi-private corner in the garden. Chairs around a mirrored coffee table. A wet Monday morning has given way to a cold Monday afternoon. It’s early February and the No. 15 rap song in America is “Keanu Reeves,” by Logic, who was one year old when Point Break came out in 1991.
Every generation gets its own Keanu Reeves, except every generation’s Keanu Reeves is this Keanu Reeves.

Endgame had some good scenes, was visually stunning and I didn’t hate watching it (compared to IW, where I had to force myself to *not* leave the theater halfway it’s a big improvement).
But so many characters saw their development (of YEARS) go down the drain, they hyped up non-existent gay rep, fridged their main lady, used a character’s weight and drinking habits as the reoccurring joke of the movie (im all for depicting PTSD on screen but turning it into “comedic relief” is fucking gross and insensitive), also hyped Captain Marvel’s presence in the film when she actually had... very little (in a franchise that lacks ladies so badly, yeah that’s annoying &dishonest), the rules of time travel were a mess with some big plot holes...
Was it sorta enjoyable to watch ? Yeah. Am I super tired of the Straight White Dudes show with absolute minimal effort in the writing of the plot ? YEAH.

When will I know I’m ready?
You won’t. It’s a leap of faith. That’s all it is, Miles. A leap of faith.

Okay but seriously? THEY DID THOR SO DIRTY. They made him a gag throughout most of the film and he legit did not reference his brothers name ONCE; no horned helment in the corner to honor him, no extra green in his clothing; even when he sees Loki in the past, he has NO REACTION. WHAT THE HECK???
AND THEN HE JUST??? ABANDONS ASGARD?? AFTER ALL HE DID TO SAVE IT? W H A T

man. Remember the first time you watched Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Dir. Taika Waititi and hela asked thor ‘what were you the god of again?’ and then it went to loki smirking and you KNEW something good was coming. And then immigrant song started to kick in and the LIGHTING started and you felt your SOUL leave your body and go to another plan of existance. Then Thor desending lighting and all onto that pile of aliens in slow motion looking goddamn RENAISSANCE painting? That moment changed me! the DRAMA! The rest of that scene? Valkyrie, Loki, and Hulk fighting together? Thor’s LIGHTING striking those aliens straight outta there like they were fucking ants? ICONIC! The iconic truly JUMPED out of that movie! Taika Waititi took my hand in that movie, told me it was all gonna be ok and then changed my life FOREVER! That was ART! Mr. Waititi thank you for my LIFE

remember when dudes got mad that Captain Marvel showed “no emotion” in the trailer and said that “Brie Larson is wooden” and that she should “smile once in a while”, and then the actual movie dropped and Carol was basically a little shit the entire time, made the most adorable facial expressions throughout the entire movie, was just her amazing, brash, heads-on self 24/7, and then, when this guy told her to smile, she stole his bike? good times, good times.
