I just recently found this blog after recently being diagnosed myself and I have to tell you this is helping me so much. Your blog and the recs have become my go to comfort reading for the last few weeks and I want to thank you for helping me in so many ways without even knowing me. You've made my diagnosis so much easier and helped me realise a lot about myself. It's also made it easier to talk to people surprisingly having read stories of my favourite superhero do it too. So yeah... thanks and please keep going with this when you can as I get squealie (only word I can think to describe my excited stim) whenever I have seen you have posted.

I've been meaning to get back around to making content again, but clearly that hasn't happened yet, lol. I make no promises, but hearing this is definitely a little bit of motivation. The next post I'll make will probably be another Reasons Peter is Autistic based on No Way Home, but I need to get around to actually watching it again before I can do that.

Fine. I'll admit it. It was a good movie. I still hated it*. But it was good.

I will, however, have to see it again before I can make an updated list, I think, so don't hold your breath waiting for it, haha.

*By 'hate' I just mean that I disliked exactly the parts I had expected to and I still dislike some of the choices they have made. It was, however, overall still a good movie and I ended up enjoying it.

Seeing it tonight (Thursday the 13th). Honestly hoping I'm not the only person there because that would be Awkward, lol. ((When I went to see FFH, there were literally only two other people and I'll take that over no one but....haha))

It'll probably be tomorrow before I post anything about it, but we'll see.

So considering so many people have told me that I MUST go see No Way Home (including my mother who doesn't care about superhero movies in the slightest) and since my local theater is getting it on Friday...

Take two of typing this up (thanks for freezing, laptop, I appreciate that that so much /s). If tumblr staff wanted to add a feature that's actually useful, autosave would definitely be it. ANYWAY.

There is a short answer and a long answer to this.

Short answer: I'm not sure at this time when -- or even if -- I will be seeing it, so I can't really say.

Long answer: 1. I live in a small town, and our theater only has one screen. That obviously limits what they can show, and there's no guarantee of when they'll be able to show it or even if they will show it all. They had both FFH and Black Widow opening weekend but didn't get the Eternals until, like, two weeks ago. You just never know. I was thinking about maybe seeing it in the next closest town that has a theater (~25 mins from here) until I found out that theirs is permanently closed after the Covid lockdowns last year. The next closest theater (~45 mins from here) -- well, I honestly have no idea if it's still open. It's part of a chain, and according to Google it's open but according to said chain's website, they do not have a location in that town anymore. So my only real options for seeing it in theaters are to wait to see if we (maybe or maybe not) get it here in town or go to the city. Which I refuse to do. I hate driving in the city, and (for the next reason below), it's just not worth the stress. And, since Spidey is a Sony property on loan, it'll never make it to Disney+. Also (for the reason below again), I'm not sure I will even want to purchase it when it finally goes to DVD. So it's rather difficult to say if I'll do a list or not.

2. I really, really hate the MCU right now. And I hate that I hate it because I really love Spidey and I really love Tom Holland in the role, and I have always loved Spidey, but that's reality. I've purposely asked for spoilers from friends (that I won't elaborate on here), because Endgame wrecked me and I'm really not a fan of crying in theaters over a movie. As I said to one friend: "The angstiest these movies should ever get are things like Tony almost not making it back through the wormhole in the first Avengers or the battle between Cap and Bucky in Winter Soldier. That's it. That's the most I want to see. If I want more, I'll go read fanfics. Like. Please. Can we just go back to that era of writing? Stop making fans cry. No one wants that." And, like, I get that movies are intended to manipulate you emotionally at least a little bit (writers aren't doing their jobs if they aren't at least trying to make you Feel Things tbh), but there is such a thing as too much. And the MCU has crossed that line -- at least for me personally. Which makes me really not want to see this movie (or anything else they're coming out with).

I'm not trying to be a killjoy; two of my friends have seen it already and said it was really good, and I'm sure it is! But I just Cannot with the direction the MCU is going -- and has already gone, for that matter. That's a big reason this blog has gone kinda dead. I love Spidey but I hate what the MCU is doing now.

All that to say, if you've seen it and enjoyed it, I'm glad! But I'm not sure that I will enjoy it so I don't know when/if I'm going to see it, and that makes it hard to make a list.
