Getting yourself out there for dating is kinda difficult, like I want someone who I have fun hanging out with or talking to. Long distance relationships are fine as long as we meet up sometime, and the other person has to not be a bad person. That’s not crazy standards right? just listened to the whole "the tortured poets department" that just dropped by taylor swift

clara bow got me feeling so emotional. who's afraid of little old me gave me confidence. I can do it with a broken heart gave me strength. guilty as sin made me feel uncertainty. the smallest man who ever lived was how I felt after my situationship ended badly. it's surprising how much I can relate to each and every one of the song lyrics - and how I've felt exactly the same at different points of my life.

and listening to this album made me realise that jack antonoff really has a distinct sound for the songs he produces! a lot of the songs that he worked on with taylor for this album had that very similar bleachers vibe, which I absolutely adore.

I'm at the age where many of my friends are getting into relationships, are buying houses together, are getting married, are having babies.

and sometimes I do worry that I'm never going to experience it because of how my dating life is going. I'm already losing the race.

but life isn't a rat race. everyone's life moves at a different pace. theirs might be faster, mine might be slower. but in the end, it all will happen in due time. yes, I do want the feeling of blissfully falling in love during my last teenage years before I am thrown into full adulthood after graduation, but sometimes, you can't have what you want, no matter how bad you want it. so you gotta move on, and learn to live with what you have. in my case, a really supportive family and great, amazing, friends that I could never have dreamt of having, experiences like travelling the world.

and that's when it hit me. that's love too. familial love and friendship love. sure, it feels different, and will probably never replace that part of you which wants romantic love, but as long as there's a reason you wake up every day looking forward to the day doing what you love, you are loved. by the world. and that is something I should always keep in my heart.

loved how the newest 30 min long bluey episode "the sign" brings across such a strong message of "everything will happen the way it's supposed to." where it shows that one thing leads to another regardless of what people do, and you're going to end up where you're meant to be. and that life will give you signs to guide you to where you need to be at that point of time.

I think a lot of us, in life, need to take a step back, breathe, and relax. It's a sign to stop unnecessarily worrying about whether our choice to do certain things in life will be good or bad choices, and just let life play itself out. and the episode comes at such a fitting time too, with how I've been grappling with struggling to date and all, and I've also recently started to believe that "it'll happen when it's supposed to happen". this bluey episode is my sign to believe that it'll happen when it's meant to. ❤️
