As requested, posting some of my favorite smoothie recipes! I always start my morning with a fresh smoothie, so that my body starts out completely alkaline for the day. I also generally save a glass to have as an afternoon snack!

Glowing Green Smoothie (first two pictures)

This recipe is from Kimberly Snyder’s The Beauty Detox Solution

2 cups filtered water

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

4 stalks celery, chopped

2 cups spinach

1 apple, cored and chopped

1 pear, cored and chopped

1 banana

Juice from 1/2 a lemon

Ice

I also frequently add wheatgrass to this smoothie. You can buy frozen wheatgrass at Whole Foods and toss in a few servings. The taste is completely hidden by all the sweet fruits, so you can’t even tell it’s in there!

Fruit Cleanse Smoothie

1.5 cups water or coconut water

2 cups frozen strawberries

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup frozen pineapple

2 fresh bananas

Juice from half a lemon

1 tbsp freeze-dried pomegranate powder (optional)

Garnish with bee pollen (optional)

This is my favorite smoothie to cure a hangover! It’s super quick to make (no chopping veggies, etc), pineapple is a powerful blood cleanser, and bee pollen is high in B vitamins and TONS of other vitamins, minerals, plus all essential amino acids for protein synthesis in the body.

Alkaline Smoothie

1 cup water

1 cucumber, chopped (skin is okay if it’s organic)

3 stalks celery, chopped

1 apple, cored and chopped

1 pear, cored and chopped

1 banana

1 thumb ginger, peeled

Frozen wheatgrass, to taste

Very Berry Smoothie

1.5 cups water or coconut water

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 cup frozen pineapple

1/2 cup frozen raspberries

1/2 cup frozen blackberries

2 stalks celery, chopped

1 kiwi (keep the skin on!), chopped

1 apple, cored and chopped

2 cups green grapes

Juice from half a lemon

Spoonful of bee pollen (optional)

Enjoy!
