Am I having fun with Immortals of Aveum? I don’t know. Sometimes I’m like “this rules” but it has several things going against it:

* The worst fucking traversal puzzle mechanics ever invented

* Riverdale-level dialogue

* So many cinematics all the time

* Crafting bonanza bullshit

The animation is so good and the environments are pretty and the gameplay is all right, but holy shit this protagonist is so fucking annoying. Holy shit shut up. Or let me skip all that. He suuuucks.

The Falcons are trying to be the Chiefs by taking a big QB prospect even with a proven starter on the roster. The difference is that Alex Smith was already there when Mahomes was drafted and the Falcons just signed Cousins to a pretty significant deal like a month ago. The Chiefs were already a pretty complete team with playoff potential, not so for Atlanta.

We’ll see if it works out but I’m not confident.

Taylor Swift’s music has always been the safest mean of whatever style she’s trying to leech from. Her writing, especially, radiates so much privilege it’s impossible to take her seriously. The only thing tortuous about her new album is how much of a chore it is to read when every conceivable content machine has to glaze the hell out of it.

This woman is a billionaire. She gave up whatever soul she had to get there, and that irrevocably stains anything she creates.

I don’t think you can even create “tortured” poetry from a private jet that you own and operate almost every day.
