in case anyone was worried: i'm not dead!
i've been going through a lot recently and stopped being able to update my blogs, both for those reasons and because I have Disorders(tm) that make it hard for me to return to things after i've been away a long time
also I think I'm like. a few "generations" of different person than the version of me that ran those blogs originally
but i'm taking my meds properly and am more stable now, so... fingers crossed maybe i'll get back to it.

Aceplured / Ace&ed
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: Two 7-stripe flags. Integrated into the middle stripe of each is a tilted rectangle containing an ampersand. Colors: Dark grape, grape, pink-tinted white - for the left, a slightly purple blue, for the right, a toned-down blue - pink-tinted white, pink, pinkish-purple. /End]
-----
Aceplured is a term for an asexual whose orientation is changed by the fact they are plural or otherwise part of a system. The -plured suffix is inspired by oriented and angled, as well as being similar to blurred.
Someone who is aceplured may be:
Internally "coded" as asexual, yet externally feeling sexual attraction the body in general feels.
Asexual, yet able to feel sexual attraction as bleedover from others in their system.
Personally asexual, yet able to feel sexual attraction because the system as a whole feels romantic attraction.
...and more, along the asexual spectrum!
-----
The left flag's stripe is color-picked from kenochoric's plural flag, while the right is color-picked from m0dem0n's OSDDID flag.
The ampersand comes from the free-to-use commercial font Earwig Factory.

Questioning whether my disinterest in certain things I used to be passionate about is an ADHD "losing hyperfixation" thing like I thought or actually plurality related...
Sorry to everyone who has sent me requests, I swear this blog isn't abandoned or anything!

Note
my problem w/ "Impossible-consent paraphilias" is that it groups Objectum (especially non-POSIC+ OS/OR) in with things like Zoo/etc. because of the whole "objects cannot truly consent or even try to stop you the way a person could" debate/issue (which I've even seen POSIC+ people have differing views on). - a non-POSIC+ OS/OR person
I think including objectum in it isn't inherent to the term at all actually, and only the people who genuinely believe objects are both sentient and cannot consent would really genuinely group it that way. If you believe such is true, then it SHOULD be applicable, because that IS an impossible-consent situation and incredibly uncomfortable. If you don't believe that, then it's not applicable. The majority of people - for better or for worse - don't think of objects as sentient or about objectum at all, so unless it's being used by someone who is objectum or POSIC+, I don't think you'd need to worry about it.

"Harmful paraphillas" and "the big three" have always kinda bothered me as terms, as they sort of beat around the bush about the actual problems and what is being talked about, so here's an alternative I thought of:
Impossible-Consent Paraphilias.
This makes it clear what's actually being referred to (paraphilias that cannot be consented to) and without the implication "harmful" has sometimes where anyone who has them is inherently going to cause harm. It allows for expansion in the way "the big three" does not, and is also more clear on what it actually means without context on what "the big three" actually are.
It also avoids including ageplay, petplay, or consensual non-consent, as these are all things which can be consented to (though obviously your mileage may vary on your interpretation of them otherwise).
Not sure if this'll catch on or anything, but if anyone else was uncomfortable with the common phrasing, I wanted to share my alternative.

"Huh this term is a lot like vesility, I wonder why they made it" [Check their blog to see] >"fuck endos" That Is Probably Why
The -coridic suffix of identities (by xx-keilakreepz-xx and with coinings by comorbididy) is not endo-safe, for anyone who needs to know.

Icosahuman / Multialtertype
Tumblr media
A term for an alterhuman who identifies with their alterhuman identity in many or all of the possible ways.
Examples of identities which may be icosahuman:
Lacking personal distinction between types of alterhumanity.
Having multiple interpretations of one's alterhumanity.
Being both kin and copinglink due to clinging to one's kin as a coping mechanism.
Being a fictive or extranthrope who also identifies with other alterhuman terminology.
An alterhuman with fluidity in their type of identity, such as sometimes being kin and sometimes being hearted.
And more!
It is intended for those who are multiple kinds of alterhuman regarding a single identity (ex. being foxkin and a fox copinglink), rather than those who have multiple alterhuman identities of different types. Someone with multiple alterhuman identities who has singular identities of multiple types is also included.
-----
Please don't do alterhuman discourse on this post. People have varied experiences regarding their identity and restricting people to one category for the sake of protecting the label does no one favors.
[PT above: Please don't do alterhuman discourse on this post. /End]

Tip of the day: Don't equate "gender is a social construct" with "gender isn't real".
Social constructs are real things. They exist in reality, they affect our lives, and they are very important to people. Just because something is created by society doesn't mean it doesn't exist within that society.
Social constructs are also usually not inherent themselves, but they don't come from nowhere. The ideas of gender that we have are social constructs, and the importance of it in our identity is. Still, it does describe a part of our identity that does inherently exist in some fashion. If we didn't have the construct of gender, the part of your identity you think of as your gender wouldn't disappear entirely. It may be different, unbound by the constructs of our society, but you still have that part of you.
Gender is a social construct. It is also real. You can't hold it in your hands, and we're still studying on if it's detectable in the brain, but it still exists. Not as some law of the universe, but as a part of who we are given definition and standards.

sorry for not doing requests or coining much and instead putting garbage on your dash I am just. Tired of psychological exclusionism. It's like trying to claim stomach ulcers are only caused by H. pylori, psychology is a science that is actively studied by professionals and carefully built upon.
The scientists CAN be wrong, and psychology IS naturally hard to verify, but there are still things we accept as true in psychology that you can easily reference and are currently as good as fact. And psychology is non-exclusive in much of its terminology *on purpose*; its definitions tend to be vague and allow for a lot of wiggle room. That's why pretty much every disorder in the DSM has a huge "differential diagnosis" section.
It's not strict, but you can't just claim whatever you feel is right about it either. Just be nice, ok?

Anyway psychology is a newer field and there may not be answers for particular niche things but if you ever see someone claim "xyz psychological term is ONLY for people with zxy condition" you can usually just type "google scholar [psych term] -[condition]" (the minus removes results with the condition in it) into google to check different papers for it.
You can do the same to see if the use is common in what you get from that search: instead search "google scholar [psych term] [condition to verify]" and see how the different papers that come up talk about it. Are they speculative? Are they trying to bolster the definition? Or do they assume this is known information and only give a short briefing before going into what the actual study is about?
Don't repeat stuff you hear just for the sake of "combating ableism". Excluding people from the terminology that describes their condition just because they don't have it the "right" way has been a tool used for decades to push disabled people down. Sometimes the people making these claims are just trying to protect themselves and the words for their condition, but pushing other disabled people down who are using the word because it is theirs too is not how to do it.

A basic search in papers of hypersexuality and mania should give you plenty of results. It's so well known to the point that the majority of papers you'll find eon't even be questioning the phenomenon itself, but including it in other research.
A Case of Mania Presenting with Hypersexual Behavior and Gender Dysphoria that Resolved with Valproic Acid
Comparison of Sexual Experience and Behavior between Bipolar Outpatients and Outpatients without Mood Disorders
Hypersexuality in Children With Mania: Differential Diagnosis and Clinical Presentation
...etc.
Related to manic hypersexuality as well: SSRI-Induced Hypersexuality
Traumatic Hypersexual
Tumblr media
Flag for hypersexuals who are hypersexual due to trauma, fully or partially.
Hypersexuality is not equivalent to high libido or increased sexual attraction. It is instead a psychological term for alarming, unwanted, and excessive sexuality, often due to another condition. Hypersexuals often struggle with enforcing sexual boundaries, perceiving things in non-sexual contexts, and participation in sexual activity that leaves them feeling guilty or shameful afterwards.
This flag's colors come from hypersexuvesi and the trauma recovery flag.
