If Mary Magdalene could go from a disgrace to a saint, if Jesus could be crucified because of the fears and insecurities of others afraid of his gifts and still rise to forgive then imagine what we can do when we start to look in our own mirrors and see the love. I live by this truth, unless you sit in my company of who I am today then you don’t know me. Even then there are many sacred pieces of me I save for my heart only. If you know of someone through the mouth of another you know of an opinion and maybe look how many of those the world has, do you really want to live in a tabloid reality of defending speculation! If you hold on to the one not so great moment that a previous friend had and conveniently forget all the good, then that speaks volumes to the first place you should look. Don’t fall so easily into the commitment and conviction of another who tries to tell you that there is only one story, one way and that the people they have a motive to hate is a good enough reason to destroy a life. Most of all feel no need to defend your story when you know you have no malice or hate. Do always stand in the truth of your inner authority and integrity. The day I stopped letting everyone else tell the story of me was the day I started writing many of my own! The artificial world will never define your worth , that’s your job! Stillness In the moments of stillness while still at the computer late at night. I heart a voice telling me to look up! Across the room in the mirror was a woman surrounded by a light taking up little space. I for the first time seen an unfiltered view and not the filters on the phone but the filters of words and thoughts we place over our own image. I found myself with a little grin and a, “yes look at you!” This mirror reflects many stories, helped write the books. This reflection and I had been enemies longer than we have been friends. Last night as I seen the unfiltered look of a woman who had just seen a memory selfie picture pop up on my phone I laughed and said to the reflection. I bet I can guess which one they would believe to be the healthiest and happiest when taking a quick look? Today as I turn it all back on I may dress the part but the difference is I am no longer having to convince myself. On the way to 50 I stopped believing that the magic was in what the world thought of me! A loving attitude appears when we move beyond the all about what the world is doing to me. When we become aware that little eyes are observing that courage and strength is not in a blade that destroys it’s the ability to put it all down to be inspiration of change. When we come from the shadows of hurts and fears we surrender the one that our behaviour is hurting the most. Courage is stepping out of the fight and saying this is not the way. What I learned in this life is that many will want a relationship with you and you may both be seeking a connection. To know they are always there to nurture and love. What I have come to value the most in any relationship is trust. Can I trust that the motive is not to create your beat love from taking the best part of me. Can I trust that your connection to me is not just to be cared for by me. These are thinks I never questioned until I sat in the silence of my personal history of hurts. Not with pity but with love. Why could I not trust? I come to understand that when I let people in I tell and give all and I believe they are as honest with self as I am with myself that I would never take what is not mine. Because I did that one time and the hurt and the guilt left to much pain to bare. So when you start to be blamed for what is wrong in the life of another or the reason for their bad behaviour trust yourself in the decision to create boundaries around what is sacred and trust when it’s save to share. Love yourself enough to trust your gut and not the second thought in your head. When you trust you you will align to the integrity of trustworthiness in another. What do you value the most?
