Quick PSA, if you get one of those "Work scanned, AI use detected" comments on AO3, just mark them as spam.
Some moron apparently built a bot to annoy or prank hundreds of authors.
There is no scanning process, your work doesn't actually resemble AI writing, it's all bullshit. Mark the comment as spam (on AO3, not the email notification you got about the comment!) and don't let it get to you.

The frog scene™ but make it crack. (The princess and the frog edition)
Nathaniel goes out on the balcony to get some fresh air. He asks the stars to guide him on the right path when he suddenly notices a frog near him. He doesn't recognize Bartimaeus.
Nathaniel: Very funny. So, what now? I reckon you want a kiss?
Bartimaeus, being a little bastard he is: Kissing would be nice, yes?
Bartimaeus:*proceeds to enjoy the view of a screaming Nathaniel.

In case you want to specify, I think the first three are European (Portugal's) Portuguese and the second line is Brazillian Portuguese.
But this looks so cool!! Thank you for your work! 💜

I have collected the cover designs of Bartimaeus sequence from as many countries as I am aware of. I have omitted some covers that have almost the same design, only the text has been localised. There are probably many more, but to be honest, it is so difficult to find works in languages other than my mother tongue... It may not be accurate with regard to countries either. If you know the correct answer or know of a design that is not here, it would be great if you could let me know! They are all unique and interesting designs.

Bart & Nat The scene where the Sumerian Bart and Nathaniel appear together was not in the original story, but I would have liked to have seen it.

Not my two favourite things having a crossover.
Catra’s “hey Adora,” seems to be Faquarl’s “Hello, Bartimaeus.”

《☆》When you get this, put 5 songs you actually listen to, publish. Then, if you’re comfortable, send this ask/tag 10 of your followers《☆》
I was tagged by @rosie-tyler, who shouldn't have to ask before tagging me after the great Bart musical and college AU collab. Tag away, friend. 😉
Though... Just 5? How am I ever gonna cope? I could do 5 albums. Okay then. Just assume I mean the entire album these songs belong to. Compromise. 😤 In no particular order:
《☆》 She Used to be Mine by Sara Bareilles
《☆》 Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
《☆》 Always Somewhere by Scorpions
《☆》 Creep (Radiohead) by Postmodern Jukebox ft. Haley Reinhart
《☆》 Beautiful Disaster by Kelly Clarkson (live acoustic version more specifically)
As I don't know that any people here, I'll just tag 2: @eadren and @anjumstar3. This is a legally binding contract from the moment your eyeballs land on the post. I don’t make the rules.

Blew some dust off my tablet and tried out CSP’s gouache brushes - by which I mean that I went full on beast mode while only having like 0.5 of an idea of what I’m doing. Still working on translating my style from traditional to digital, we’ll see how it goes.
Anyways, here’s a bastard.

Please read from right to left. This is BartNat. ‘Bartimaeus attends Nathaniel’s funeral after his body is found’ This manga was drawn in line with such requests. For me this was a so difficult request, consider this as one possible AU story among many.
The following is my fantasy. I couldn’t explain it just within the manga…… Although Bart is sorry for Nat’s death, they understood each other perfectly in their parting. Therefore, for Bart, Nat’s death is not just sad. I think there is also the joy of having a heart-to-heart with Nat, whom he had hated for so many years. That is why the end of PG is sad but has a somewhat refreshing aftertaste. So Bart often reflects on Nat’s death. Not because it is a memory of pain, but because it is a memory of his strong friendship with him. Well, even if that is the case, Bart’s split on Nat’s death is because he feels ‘that we did everything we could’, so if the possibility that there really was a way to save them both came into Bart’s mind, he would feel bitter. I can’t think that Bart actually believes that Nathaniel will be reborn (because Ptolemy doesn’t come to see Bart after two thousand years), but he can live with the hope that he will see him somewhere down the road. I hope that through Nat, Bart has also healed the memory of his separation from Ptolemy. It would be nice to have a grave for Nathaniel and a grave for John Mandrake, respectively. In Bart’s mind, the two are not similar. Even as Bart, he would not want to go near Mandrake’s grave, even though Nathaniel’s death deserves to be mourned. Probably.
Also, in my mind, the relationship between Bart and Kitty is similar to that of a father and daughter. I think that protecting Kitty, whom Nat wanted to protect, is what Bart can do for Nat. There’s too much to write about when I’m trying to describe Nat’s death. I hope to draw the same subject again at some point. Thank you for taking a look. PS Not sure if Latin is accurate. If you have a better translation suggestion, please let me know.

Bartimeus thinks that looking at the grave shouldn't be so hard. After all, it is Nathaniel's grave. The man who imprisoned him, the man who appropriated him, the man who reduced him to a puddle of slime. A man whose death he should have been truly happy about.
And, in any case, it's just a stone, isn't it? A lump of dirt with no soul and no voice. They are all the same: a man, a woman, a moth, a stone pedestal... Only humans give these stones abbreviated meanings, only humans see something special in them, only humans care about each of their bricks. Only they believe that they have the power to bring the inanimate to life.
Bartimaeus was not a human being.
And yet he cannot force himself to remain silent. He throws a few jokes at the grave, comments on its "neglected" appearance, its invariably terrible fashion sense, recalls a few old adventures and the important role he played in them.
"You know, if it weren't for me, you would have died... earlier."
He calls the pile of stones an idiot, a jerk, a short-sighted fool...
He even asks himself the question "why?" but does not dare to ask it out loud. Because he won't get an answer anyway, will he?
He looks at the white, chalk-scribbled inscription: "Hero of London''. And he smiles - this is an absolute lie. Everything on this stupid piece of stone and porcelain is a lie, from the name of the deceased to the numerous inscriptions about his heroism.
In reality, he was just a small, insecure, stupid, treacherous boy. And he died accordingly.
None of this makes sense. Absolutely all this action makes no sense. In the end, Nathaniel was just a typical master.
And he will never know that Bartimaeus was here. No one will.
Not even if thousands of Empires fall to the ground and this cemetery will be reduced to rubble.
Because only humans can be sentimental enough to visit graves.

Y'all remember the epilogue scene of Ptolemy's Gate where everyone was celebrating being alive? Yeah that was my favourite one.

The funniest part is Nathaniel’s face throughout. He knows 100% that Bart will screw up, goes along with it anyway, and in the end cares only about Bart’s well-being.

Please read from right to left. This is BartNat. ‘When they have an accident, Nat worries about Bart before anyone else’ This manga was drawn in line with those requests.
I love the 'Bart is a bad driver’ setting. In fact, he would be a good driver. Because he states that he has run over a number of people. It is a trick he would have to be dexterous to do. Despite having only driven twice, his infiltration of Heddleham Hall was also excellent. But I took it at face value and decided he was a bad driver. I think it’s cute.
I tried to put another one up but couldn’t layout properly:(

It’s The Lost Artefact’s fanart. @csmelody The scene in chapter 30 where Bart looks at Nat’s sketchbook (I’m reading through a translator, so I’m a little unsure if I’m getting this scene right). I like the moment when Bart, who is always cheerful and joking, only becomes serious when talking about Ptolemy. At the same time, it is a heartbreaking moment for me.
Thank you for all your wonderful work! I will continue to support you.
