Hey everyone!

Just want to apologize for posts slowing down when they used to be daily. Classes are really amping up as the semester progresses and I’m trying to balance my love of writing on here with my obligations.

Don’t worry, though! Besides posts slowing as I find a new writing rhythm, nothing is changing. I love working on headcanons, requests and asks and I can’t see that changing. I’m going to continue working on the asks that are in my inbox and my ask box will remain open.

Thank you to those who have already sent in asks and are waiting on a reply. Even though I’m still enthusiastically accepting new asks, requests and headcanons, I will be responding to asks oldest first. Therefore, rest assured that your asks will have priority.

Thank you also to those who plan on sending asks in the future. Never feel guilty for sending in asks! I see them as they come in and they make my day both when I see them and when I’m responding to them. So feel free to ask me anything and rest assured that you will get a response, even if there is a bit of a wait.

Thank you as well to those who just like reading the posts! Even if you don’t send asks or if you prefer original headcanon posts to ask replies, you are appreciated. Rest assured that I still plan to post my original headcanons, even as things slow down and I prioritize asks.

Oh! Also, a bit of an update:

Another part of why posts were slowing down was because I was focusing on trying to fix a problem where links didn’t show up on the desktop version of my blog. However, after a week-long struggle with Tumblr support we managed to fix that with the exception of the masterlist post. Instead, I’ve created a separate page on my blog for my masterlist which can be found here. From now on I’ll only be updating the masterlist on my blog page instead of the post.

All in all, thank you so much to everyone for all the support you’ve shown me! I can’t wait to return that in kind by publishing all the posts I have planned.

Part 5 of the anomaly ask where the anomaly's "mom" (older anomaly) is spotted leaving gifts for the anomaly.The "mom"(let's call her matriarch) has been watching the anomaly (let's call it Mimi) since it's birth,only contacting mimi through telepathy.Every time someone tries to get near Matriarch she dips,so maybe the slender brothers trying to interact with her,maybe splendorman mostly trying to her have a more closer relationship with Mimi?Maybe while interacting with Matriarch they get more info about her and Mimi?

Preamble

I love hearing your OC lore about the Anomaly!

Unfortunately, just based on the other posts you’ve sent on the Anomaly I don’t really see the brothers having enough interest in The Anomaly (Mimi) to be checking up on Mimi frequently enough to spot the Matriarch. The exception would perhaps be Splendor after the Black Market fiasco but he probably wouldn’t take the initiative to visit the Anomaly first.

Suspending disbelief for a minute though...

Slenderman

Slenderman’s interest is mild and purely academic. ‘The Anomaly’ isn’t so anomalous after all; are there more of its kind hiding? Does this ‘Matriarch’ perhaps know more about their origins? The rigorous registration process allowed them an understanding of ‘Mimi’s’ anatomy and abilities, but a larger sample size could bear interesting results.

Theoretically, it would be a simple matter to track this ‘Matriarch’ figure since both it and the Anomaly have telepathic powers. It should be easy to use his own mental abilities to derive the location of the Matriarch from either it’s link to ‘Mimi’s’ brain or through linking directly through the Matriarch’s brain the next time she drops by. Through that link he’d be able to know where she is no matter where she flees.

Whether this works I can’t say. But if it does he does little more than ask questions on their race as a whole. Her answers determine what he does from there.

Offenderman

He hates being out in the boonies. There’s never anything to do. His boredom compels him to track down the mysterious figure he sees around Mimi.

She never sticks around long enough for him to mark her properly by giving her a rose -plus he has a feeling she wouldn’t take it even if he offered- so he tries to link to her mind and derive her location from that.

If it works he may ask why the Matriarch is so intent on keeping hidden, especially from her own child. He might even ask if there are more of their kind. But in the end he’s not concerned about anything other than his own entertainment. Depending on the Matriarch’s demeanor he may try to egg her into a fight, romance her or just see if she knows anything fun to do.

Trenderman

He really doesn’t care. If anything he’s frustrated that he’s somehow stumbled upon another unregistered cryptid.

This one seems much more skittish and less willing to engage and he considers whether the authorities would be able to find it if he calls it in. Probably not, and he doesn’t want to be the one to have to track it down and hold it while the authorities arrive; so he just ignores the Matriarch.

He’ll probably send a message to Slender mentioning it to see if he wants to move forward on that information, but after that it’s not his problem.

Splendorman

Splendor is curious. He mentions the strange figure to Mimi. It seems to be following it so he doesn’t want to do anything about the situation without Mimi’s knowledge or consent.

If Mimi connects that the figure Splendor spotted following it is the same one that communicates with it telepathically, Splendor suggests that he could link to the Matriarch's mind the next time she communicates with Mimi.

If that works he gently attempts to communicate with the Matriarch. Once he finds out that she is Mimi’s mother, he of course tries to get her to have a closer relationship with it. He asks questions about their origins and customs and past but unlike Slender, it’s due to a sincere interest in getting to know the two better.

Slenderman Headcanons: Sex & The Slender Brothers

Slenderman

Slender loves using his tendrils during sex. While you can expect gentle exploration, teasing and even some penetration with his tendrils, his favorite use for them is for bondage purposes. Nothing too crazy, but he especially likes holding his partners up with his tendrils as well as using the extra appendages to bind their hands or stuff their mouths.

I don’t think Slender is aware of it himself but he has a thing for having sex while standing. Standing over someone as he rails them just does it for him and gives him a comforting sense of control. He can do the ‘horizontal tango’ but only with someone he trusts and when he’s feeling particularly intimate.

Small amounts of pain during sex is also something he enjoys. Small nicks and scrapes from sharper teeth get him worked up and if he hasn’t bound your hands and trusts you enough then the feeling of claws scraping against his skin is lovely.

Offenderman

Are you really going to do this to him? Make him pick a favorite kink and sex position? It’s like asking a parent their favorite child or a drowning man his favorite flavor of air.

All sex is good sex.

Well, all sex is good sex so long as you’re not pounding him in the ass. He’s tried it (a lot) and unfortunately it just doesn’t do it for him.

Trenderman

He wants to be all up in your business. No matter if he’s topping or bottoming, he wants to be in a position where he can feel as much of his partner as possible.

Whether this means chest-to-chest, chest-to-back or anything else, he wants to be absolutely crushed against his partner.

He wants to be doted on in his sexual encounters and this includes receiving extensive foreplay. He’s still very touchy during foreplay, whether it’s wrapping his legs or arms around his partner or just placing his hands on them.

He also loves inflicting pain during sex. He’s mindful not to do anything that could cause permanent damage or put off his partners too much, so often it’s just scraping his claws down their back or grazing their skin with his teeth. However, if given the chance he would do a lot more.

Splendorman

As previously stated he has a praise kink.

He doesn’t have much experience with sex so I doubt even he knows his favorite positions but he’s definitely open to experimenting. He gets a lot of sexual enjoyment from pleasing his partner so I could imagine that his favorite position changes depending on the partner he’s with.

Is Cabadath a Proud Dad?

If you asked him that question to his face he’d imply that he considers his sons too stupid to be proud of.

That’s just bluster.

If his wife was still alive he may have been more critical of his sons’ less ‘traditional’ lifestyles and jobs, regardless of their success. But right now all he wants is for what’s left of his family to be happy and healthy, and his sons have always been fulfilled by and successful in their paths in life whether they were preying on humans in secrecy or leading a business or government.

So in a word, yes. Cabadath is, and has always been, proud of his sons.

(Even if they can be absolute idiots)

Cabadath and The City

Cabadath rarely leaves his pocket dimension and before Slender met Willow he had been to The City, like, twice.

He dislikes The City in a way that goes beyond his general dislike of leaving his home. It’s busy, loud, overcrowded and overbuilt. His traditionalist sensibilities prefer the quieter seclusion and natural views of forested areas, with even the thinning of trees as one begins to reach the forest edge bothering him.

He could tolerate a village or smaller town but The City is just too much.

Cabadath enters The City twice more after Slender meets Willow. The first is on Willow’s invitation to walk her down the aisle in place of her own father at her and Slender’s wedding. The second is for the birth of his first biological grandchild because he doesn’t trust the doctors at the hospital to deliver a Slenderbeing baby when his kind have been doing it on instinct for generations.

The fact that he left his pocket dimension and went to The City, even for those two major events is nothing short of miraculous.

He doesn’t hate The City as a concept, however. He sees nothing wrong with different cryptid species living together or high density population centers as a rule, it’s simply just a personal preference.

The Slender Brother’s Father / Cabadath Headcanons

Cabadath and The Revolution

Cabadath is a bit of a traditionalist. While he’s not against the changes brought about by the Revolution he doesn’t see anything wrong with how things were before.

Not because he thinks humans deserve to be the dominant species on earth or because he thinks that different species of cryptid should be enemies (far from it, in fact) but because he has a bit of survivorship bias.

Humans being the dominant species never really affected him. If anything, he saw keeping hidden from them as good for developing strategy and critical thinking skills (especially in the younger generations). Cabadath was also very lucky in that he had very few troubling interactions with other species of intelligent cryptid. He found that most intelligent cryptids were tense, yes, but able to be talked down from violence once he could get them to communicate; while feral cryptids or those that refused to communicate were rarely strong enough to stand up to his magical abilities (with one notable exception).

Therefore, when Slender starts dropping comments hinting that he wants things to change he’s more confused than inspired.

Slender never seemed the “revolutionary” type and last Cabadath checked, his son was quite content living in the world as it was.

But eh. Kids, am I right?

Beyond a few comments and some telling body language, Slender is able to keep his plans for The Revolution from his father, reasoning that Cabadath would be stressed that his son was taking such a huge risk with his own life and the very way of life of all cryptids.

By the time Cabadath learns of The Revolution it’s already in full swing. He wants to go straight to his son, call him an idiot and send him to his room for the rest of his life. But his son isn’t a child and there’s no going back to the world as it was before. Cabadath knows that for the best chance at any sort of positive outcome the revolutionaries will need their leaders; and that includes Slender whether he likes it or not.

So he waits for his son to come home, very aware that it may never happen.

What’s Cabadath Up To These Days?

After his wife was killed Cabadath devoted himself wholly to his family. That doesn’t mean that he became a doting father who spoiled his children but that he focused solely on raising his four sons at the expense of his own interests and mental and emotional healing.

When his sons reached adulthood and left home he didn’t have anything to distract him from the pain he felt at the loss of his wife. His former interests felt meaningless and unfulfilling and he refused to acknowledge his pain in favor of putting on a mask of strength.

His sons aren’t fooled though.

They know he’s still dealing with the loss of their mother - they all are to an extent - so they try to help in any way their father’s ego will let them.

Since Cabadath rarely leaves the mansion that he and his wife built together and rarer still will he leave his forested pocket dimension, the Slender Brothers visit him often. They bring books and academic papers on his interests (especially magic), keep him up to date on goings on in the wider world and in their lives, discuss and debate topics with him, and gift him weaponry and art they come across that he may like. This is only partially for their father’s sake as they all genuinely enjoy being home. Their jobs can be stressful and tiring so unplugging from everything and returning to their childhood home is both comforting and relaxing.

Their visits appear to have helped Cabadath slowly ease his way back into his interests, though he still has a long way to go.

Nowadays he still rarely leaves his pocket dimension but between visits from his sons he’s slightly more willing to work his way through his library or practice with his weaponry and magic by terrorizing the many humans that wander into his pocket dimension.

the curse is having different jobs and memories everyday

like their a house wife from the 40s

or their a retired guitar player that was in an old band

or a dead ghost that died a long time ago etc

and they actually don't forget people but remember them differently like they don't remember one of the slenders being their boyfriend they remember them as their loving husband or their best bud that used to play with them in the old band they had etc

Like theirs not human just an average vampire but with a really wired curse

Slenderman

He does all he can to try and break the curse

He spends days conferring with specialists and late nights researching on anything that might possibly work, often becoming consumed by his goal of finally freeing you to see his love for what it is.

You’re always there to bring him back to what really matters, however, as regardless of what memories you have that day, you always seem to remember how to pull him from both his work and the depths of his mind.

Spending time with you -whether as childhood friends, partners in crime or an old married couple- always seems to increase his love for you.

You seem to shine in whatever role you’re in and even though he only plays along with each role you imagine for him to an extent, he loves seeing all the directions the two of your lives could have taken.

But as he sits with your head in his lap after a day where you’re convinced the two of you are bank robbers who just pulled off the heist of the century he feels his heart sink

You won’t remember this tomorrow. You won’t know him for who he truly is tomorrow. You won’t know, truly know, how he loves you tomorrow.

Instead the curse will come up with a scenario and he’ll have to contort his feelings to match your false memories. Day after day.

He gently lifts your head from his lap and carries you to bed before returning to his office.

Something has to break the curse eventually.

Offenderman

He knows he doesn’t have the magical ability to break the curse.

He consults specialists, turns to his family, does everything he can think of, but he knows the answer won’t come easy.

He leaves the researching to others and focuses his attention on you.

He fully dives into every role you believe him to play, uncaring of what others think and relishing in the adventure of your more ridiculous roles.

He has a lot of fun being the doting 40s husband or the old band mate or the criminal mastermind

He has even more fun getting you to fall in love with him again, every day, the same as he does.

Trenderman

Trender, like Slender, throws himself into trying to find a way to break the curse.

Unlike Slender, he’s harder to pull away from his goal

It becomes an obsession, eclipsing his design and fashion work and taking over his daily life to the point where even eating is secondary

In the beginning he played along with all the roles and scenarios happily, dressing you for the part and finding ways within his assigned role to show his affections

But now every new role just reminds him that he hasn’t done what he promised himself he would.

He doesn’t know who he’s doing it for anymore

It has to be hard never having the same memories day-to-day. Never knowing the people who love you as they are.

But its agonizing to love someone who can’t truly know you. For the person you know and love to be unable to know and love you beyond a role they have assigned you.

He catches you crying on the floor one night after a day of being, what was it today? A stay at home parent to a son? Regardless, the sight pulls at his heart in a way that compels him to sit next to you and pull you into his arms.

He asks what happened, expecting a fantastical tale comprised of false memories but instead you state that he hates you.

You cite him locking himself away and barely interacting with you. You cite his tense words and rigid posture whenever you do interact. You cite things he hasn’t even noticed himself and things he was convinced wouldn’t matter since you’d forget by tomorrow.

He holds you tight and reassures you that it couldn’t be further from the truth, that he’s so sorry for his actions, that you’ll never know how much he loves you, how much you mean to him, how he hates himself for ever letting you forget his love

You laugh through your tears, commenting that you’re happy and you’re sure their son will be happy that their parents love each other.

Trender’s jaw clenches as he swallows down sadness.

Splendorman

Splendor also tries to break the curse

But he never lets his studies on that get in the way of what really matters: being with you

He plays along with all of the roles he’s expected to play as much as he can without causing trouble for you or others.

As you head to bed and the curse resets he’s sad at the memories of the day that you’ll lose but he’s looking forward to the next day he’ll get to spend with any version of you.

To Splendor, all love is equally precious, whether the love of an old childhood friend, the love of a married couple or the love of a ghost that admires his life.

And he loves learning all the ways he can love you

I saw another blog writing this prompt and I was rlly curious abt how you'd work with it. (Although, my memory fails me so idk if it was you or not)

So like. Slenderman having a personal assistant or a secretary or even some sort of heir that's like an Elle Woods type of character.

Like they're always wearing pink and being so cheery and bubbly during work, they use glitter pens to sign off paperwork and give stickers or little cheerful notes to their coworkers. They are the whole opposite of Slenderman, but they do such a good job that he can't fire them.

I just think it's funny to have Slenderman be this serious and menacing business man with a little pink, wide-eyed, girly-girl following him around 😭✨

Preamble

I do have a Willow x Slenderman fan-child who is very feminine, though she’s a bit too desperate to be taken seriously to use glitter pens lol. Junior is always a little ray of sunshine and I actually have him developing an interest in law and politics as a teenager, with Slender taking him under his wing, but he’s definitely not a girly-girl.

Slenderman’s Peppy Secretary

Opinions of her around the office are mixed. A lot of people appreciate her bright dress, bubbly attitude and efforts in getting to know others and find joy in seeing documents signed in glitter pens or little motivational notes around the office. Others think it’s annoying, unprofessional and shows an unserious attitude about this very serious job.

Slender doesn’t care.

He doesn’t care how she dresses and if anyone else has a problem working with his secretary because she’s in a bright pink blazer, Slender’s power and intimidating demeanor ensures they keep that to themselves.

He doesn’t care what type of attitude she has so long as it’s not a rude one.

He doesn’t care if she chats with those around the office so long as she does her job. And she does.

Very Well.

But as he enters his office and sits at his desk, he pushes down annoyance as he deftly removes from his documents the many, colorful sticky notes adorned with equally colorful motivational quotes and doodles. Then, as he reads through his schedule (now free of sticky notes), he frowns lightly at the fact that it is annotated in glitter pen.

However, when he leaves his office for his first meeting of the day and she falls into step with him, handing him a leather folder containing a summary of the meeting’s topics, relevant documents he may need as well as information on the attendees; he finds his annoyance waning.

Even more so as she keeps up with his longer stride without complaint and she goes through the information with him as they walk, explaining her thought process in choosing each document and further summarizing key information.

But then he finds a picture of a baby as he flips through the professionally typed pages. Thinking it irrelevant, he reaches to remove it only for a manicured finger to hold it in place.

“That’s Michaela’s new baby! They went with the name Toby instead of Liam! Isn’t he a cutie? She’s back from parental leave today and we’ll pass her desk on the way to the meeting so you should say something nice! Apparently the delivery was very difficult and...”

Slender doesn’t care.

He’s perfectly aware that Michaela returns from leave today but doesn’t care about that beyond how that affects workflow. He doesn’t care what she named the child and he certainly doesn’t care enough to form an opinion on the ‘cuteness’ of her baby or whatever his secretary was prattling on about now.

Now that the topic has been changed from work he ignores her as she talks, focusing his attentions on the documents which he continues to flip though as soon as she removes her finger.

They’re passing through a more populated corridor, flanked by offices on each side, when she suddenly stops. Slender pays no mind to it and continues on.

Only to stop as she grabs his arm.

Someone gasps.

Slender feels his annoyance rising to the point of anger as he turns to her. She seems unfazed, a huge contrast to the others in the corridor who watch paralyzed in silent horror.

“Michaela’s at her desk!” She whispers excitedly, “You should say something before we take on Councilwoman Kaia and the others.”

Slender considers killing her. His muscles tense and as his mouth opens everyone around them is certain they’re about to witness him rip into her with his teeth.

“Councilwoman Kaia?” He says instead.

“Yes? Didn’t you see the sticky note I left? It was the one with the heart at the top and it said ‘Managed to convince Councilwoman Kaia to join the meeting. You got this.’ And then a smiley face?” She replies, confused.

She continues, “I was up all night talking to her to try and get her to come so I didn’t have enough time to add her profile to the folder but I know you’re acquainted so I didn’t think it would be a problem.”

Slender was very acquainted with Kaia, the Head Councilmember of the Merpeople, the most populous aquatic cryptid species. Kaia was belligerent and stubborn but undeniably powerful both magically and politically. She often leveraged that power to get her way, including in locating meetings to the shore or outright refusing to join those that weren’t. Like this one.

Slender studies his secretary.

She seems unaware of the significance of her actions and seems to be focusing her attention on subtly bringing his attention to the open doorway she is standing in front of. He looks through and sees a scared Michaela who immediately dips her gaze to her desk as she notices his attention on her.

“Welcome back, Michaela.” He says.

The pink-clad secretary beams, and gives an enthusiastic wave to the shocked Michaela before running off to catch up with Slender as he continues on his way.

Slenderman Headcanons: Alcohol

Slenderbeings’ bodies are incredibly efficient, including in breaking down alcohol. Therefore, for a slenderbeing to feel the effects of alcohol they would need to consume a lot of alcohol very quickly.

However, that only takes into account human-made alcohols. Magical brews are another thing entirely.

Slenderman

Slenderman doesn’t find the taste of alcohol particularly noteworthy and hates the feeling of not being in control of himself. He’ll tolerate a drink for politeness sake; taking a glass of champagne for celebrations or a glass of wine when offered. However, if given the choice of a drink he’d prefer a scotch or whiskey.

Offenderman

Offender loves all sorts of alcohols; whether in a flashy cocktail, on the rocks or straight out of the bottle. However, he tends to avoid beers and other drinks with low alcohol content in favor of the stronger stuff. In addition, while he’ll never turn down some tequila or vodka, a strong rum will always be his favorite. He’s knowledgeable on what makes a drink quality and is great at mixology but will absolutely enjoy cheap or even poorly made drinks.

Trenderman

Trender finds a lot of different alcohols appealing, with his tastes depending on his mood. His only requirement is that he can’t tolerate the cheap, poorly made stuff. Every wine, beer, cocktail, liquor and liqueur must be quality. He’s knowledgeable on alcohols and can taste when something isn’t up to par.

Splendorman

Hated the bitterness and ‘sting’ of alcohol so for a long time he asked for virgin cocktails when out at restaurants or bars and at celebrations either politely declined any offered drinks or politely pretended to sip them. However, he was introduced to sweet liqueurs and he fell in love. He’ll treat a bottle of that stuff like juice and end up misjudging his tolerance. It takes a while before he learns how much he can tolerate without getting drunk.

Based on this post, I try to imagine how it would like the City. I was thinking that it would look like an Italian city (not Rome, Firenze or Venice but a little one) that it's near to the nature with not some much building (to give you the idea, imagines down)

You also said that the nature is better in your Au. That means that the citizens don't use like cars ecc. but they move to the city by walking or maybe using magic. For that maybe I need to work more but the idea of how it would almost look the City

Slenderman Headcanons: Slenderbeing Voices

Historically, Slenderbeings were solitary species who only needed to communicate with those of their own kind. Since slenderbeings are all naturally talented in the art of telepathy there was therefore very little reason for them to speak aloud. However they are all capable of speaking with an audible voice.

The voice with which a slenderbeing speaks can be altered at will to sound like anything they so desire. However, they are not born knowing how to do this and it takes much training to perfect.

Most slenderbeings ‘settle’ on a voice that comes naturally and feels the most comfortable; never bothering to learn how to alter it.

It is extremely difficult to learn this skill in childhood before the larynx is fully developed. In addition, the voice a slenderbeing ‘settles’ on in childhood will sound different after maturity, even if they make no conscious effort to change it.

Males tend to ‘settle’ on a deeper voice than females but either sex is equally capable of altering their voice to any pitch or sound.

Slenderbeings are not limited to creating sounds which mimic human speech. They are capable of creating or mimicking a variety of inhuman sounds.

Part 3+4 of the anomaly ask where the anomaly reveals that before they were found they ate feral cryptids (they see creatures that don't have the intelligence of a human as food) + the slender brothers found out that while the anomaly is visiting cryptid society they get things from there, and bring it back to their human group.

Feral Cryptids

Slenderman sighs and recommends that the anomaly either familiarize themself with the hunting regulations of different cryptid species or stop hunting feral cryptids altogether. He doesn’t care enough to ensure that the anomaly is doing either, however.

Offenderman doesn’t care. He makes a joke about the anomaly having ‘expensive tastes.’

Trenderman figures that one person probably can’t do enough damage to the total population of feral cryptids for anyone to care. So he doesn’t say anything.

Splendorman joyfully gives the anomaly a lesson on feral cryptid hunting that ends with the anomaly receiving a helpful pamphlet.

In the AU, feral cryptids are supernatural creatures with low intelligence or sentience. As a result, broader cryptid society regards them similarly to animals, though interactions with them are more regulated than the average non-magical creature. The populations of feral cryptids are monitored and controlled so as to not unbalance the natural environment while also preventing their extinction. Therefore, things like hunting seasons, hunting bans, bounties and other regulations are common. Within those regulations, using them for food isn’t at all rare.

Supplying Humans

It all depends on exactly what the anomaly is supplying the humans. Giving humans basic necessities or simple non-magical items is regulated at a local level and there are no ‘federal’ laws against it. However, giving humans magical items is a serious offence and enforced by the ‘general’ government.

Assuming the former:

Slenderman advises against it but only because he thinks humans aren’t worth expending the effort.

Offenderman doesn’t say anything but personally thinks humans aren’t worth the effort.

Trenderman advises against it because he’s concerned that the humans might get a bit too comfortable using cryptid materials and cause trouble.

Splendorman thinks you’re doing a lovely thing for your human friends and makes recommendations for things you may need.

Assuming the latter:

Everyone very seriously advises that the anomaly stop doing that and take back all the magical items given to the humans.

Slenderman adds on the caveat if all the items aren’t returned then the anomaly can expect to face the wrath of the law brought down by him personally.

Offenderman laughs and lightens the mood by making jokes about the situation

Trenderman warns that he will report the situation to authorities if the anomaly doesn’t remove the items right away.

Splendorman offers to help the anomaly find all the magical items.
