I've got some exciting news to share! I've just added the entirety of Chapter 3 to the public demo and most of Chapter 4 (40k words!) to the alpha build available on my Patreon. I should be able to finish the work on Chapter 4 by the end of this month.

Chapter 3 is much shorter than Chapter 4, but it adds many new elements to the story. Some of them are major, such as adding (or maybe revealing...?) a new darker plotline, some of them let you spend time with your love interest (or friend!), and some are much more lowkey, like the fact that you now have the option to tell the game what you're wearing.

I'd also like to tell you all that we're already more than 50% done with the full game. The alpha build (available on Patreon) is now over 104k words, and I expect the final first draft of Everbloom to be ca. 200k.

Writing Plans for 2024

🌿💛 Hello, beautiful Tumblr family! 💛🌿

As I stand at the beginning of 2024 (let's pretend it still counts since it's January), I want to share with you a personal challenge I've set for myself – a challenge that's as exciting as it is formidable. This post is a blueprint and a reminder of the flexibility that this idea might demand.

This year, I'm embarking on an ambitious journey to complete three standalone interactive fiction projects, each ranging from 200,000 to 250,000 words. It's a test of creativity, a real marathon. My goal? To write approximately 80,000 words each month.

But just to be clear: this is a challenge, an experiment in productivity and focus. It's about pushing my limits, but not at the expense of my well-being or the quality of my work.

Here’s the WIP roadmap for this 'adventure':

January-March: 'Everbloom', my cozy fantasy (demo out right now!), will keep me fully occupied.

April: I will take a break from writing. 'Everbloom' will enter closed beta, allowing me to refine it with your feedback and prepare for its submission to Hosted Games.

May-July: I will work on...let's call it 'Project B'.

August: I will take another break, and 'Project B' will undergo beta testing and feedback incorporation.

September-November: I will work on the final project; let's stick to the letters and call it 'Project C'.

December: This will be the final break from writing, and 'Project C' will undergo beta testing.

This plan is ambitious, yes, but it's also fluid. I am committed to this challenge, but also mindful of my health. I won't push myself beyond reason, I can promise you that.

I'll be sharing this journey with you – the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Your support, feedback, and engagement mean the world to me. Together, we'll see how this story unfolds. I hope you stick around!

I can't believe how many spoilers (or clues?) you get if you choose to romance Qen in The Elder Crystals. I was writing his first romance scene with wide eyes today. While I knew I had to give the MC some extra information, I was still taken aback.

But it had to happen. Leaving MC in total darkness would have made no sense from the narrative perspective, and it would have made the romance very difficult to justify.

Well, I hope you end up liking it!

PS. I'm actually really proud of Qen's first romance scene. I didn't like it at first, and I decided to delete it and write it again. This one works much better. Muuuuch better.

Oh, and it's available on Patreon! I finished Chapter 5 today, and the alpha build was updated, as well. 💛
