i literally hate tumblr bc it's a site full of crazy people who are crazy about the topics they love like i could go on a

rant about how john wick is such a great film series about humans and we could probably give it to aliens to study bc the way we learn about the characters and the way the fight scenes are choreographed are so intimately humane like john wick was so deeply attached to his wife that when she left him a puppy to live out the grief that her loss would cause, john was immediately devoted and the act of killing her memory, almost essentially killing her, sends a man devoted to his soulmate into a frenzy and that's so human bc the way we bond with everything memories, items, people, concepts, animals EVERYTHING can literally set the world ablaze and simultaneously breath life into that same chaos at the same time it speaks to the understanding that maybe humans were built to love at least something whatever it may be so deeply and devoutly that there is nothing more to commit but literal terror upon everything

and the way the fight scenes are choreographed are so important to me like in normal, action-movie fight scenes (or at least i think so) you don't really see the small stuff that gets people like sometimes you'll see someone get genuinely winded or john will use their environment (and sometimes lack thereof) against them like when he stepped on that one guy's bare feet with his shoes and the guy genuinely reacted like i never see things where characters genuinely react to what happens to them and ik a lot of it's adrenaline (one hell of drug) so you don't always notice immediately but ik if some guy put the heel of his church shoe and digs into my dorsum, im gonna just about fight my tears and it would definitely put me in a bit of shock trying to keep going

and some crazy person would be like, "felt"
