DCMK FF SERVER PODFICATHON 2023

From now until the end of January, there will be a server-wide podfic challenge for anyone who’d like to finally get a chance to flex those podficcing muscles.

Starting today, every Sunday by 10:00 p.m UTC, participants can submit a Podfic Drabble and post it to their workbench or in the DCMK FF PODFICATHON 2023 thread located in podfic-library. A podfic drabble is ideally between 500-1000 words, can be plucked from any part of a chosen fic (even in the middle of a scene!) and is designed to give you a chance to get your feet wet without having to commit to a full-time project.

For every week that you successfully post, you’ll get a different personalized Podficathon 2023 badge to commemorate your awesomeness forever. Podfic drabble must be new for that week – not recorded before January and reposted for the challenge. Only want to participate once? No stress, you’ll get the Podficathon participation badge as well as the badge for that week. Those who post every week will receive a total of six badges, including the 'I Won Everything' badge for ultimate bragging rights at the end.

There’s no need for sign up: just jump in when you’re ready. When your podfic is done for the week, post it in your workbench or the Podficathon thread and tag me at @Ansara so I can mark down your participation and award you your badges.

A Study in NOIR, a DCMK zine

All the way back in May, the Detective Conan/Magic Kaito Fanfiction Server decided to put together a zine project. Many topics were suggested as themes to frame the zine around, but the film-noir aesthetic won out by a lot.

Then we realized about 2% of us actually understood what noir as a theme even means. It's been a long-haul and an interesting learning experience for the group overall and now we're ready to show the fandom the final product. A sampling of our many creatives are featured in the final zine, available to you for free! It is also formatted with enough leeway for print and binding if you so desire.

This is a collaborative fanzine project that refuses ownership over any of the characters or concepts originating from Gosho Aoyama's original works. We do not profit off of this and retain the right to our own art and writing. Thanks!

Ugh I've been sitting on getting this listing up for way too long... I had these decals way back in the summer but just couldn't muster the energy to finalize photos and such (something something no space left on my car). Feels good to finally push it out, especially since I was floating the idea months ago :0

As a fan of subtle merch, the goal here was to create a design/symbol familiar to DCMK fans that could still pass as something more generic (in this case, a helmet) to everyone else. I think I met that goal? *sweats*

If you or someone you know is getting spam comments from guests (rather than logged in users), you don't need to send in a report. You can just use the Spam button located at the bottom of every guest comment. The button will only be visible to the logged-in owner of the work.

If the volume of these spam comments is overwhelming, you can also edit a single work or edit multiple works to restrict commenting to only logged in users.

If you're a twitter user, I recommend following AO3_status over there. They're always on top of updates about site downtime and other issues.
