Scarlett got me kicking my feet in my air and giggling like a high school girl. Tbh she probably could glare at me and I'd go "hehe oh my god stoooop 🥺😊" and the fact she'll only be nice to the MC when we romance her??? Scarlett would find that behavior quite puzzling at first, but she’d slowly grow to find it cute. A facet about your MC that’s endlessly charming. As the romance progresses you’d definitely see Scarlett gloating about it too— in her own way. Putting an almost possessive hand on your shoulder when someone makes a comment about it, an icy arch to her brow, as a saccharine smirk tugs her lips upward. It would be the beginning stages of her realizing that you’re hers, and she’d be damned if she didn’t make it official. (Even if it’d take her a bit to get to that stage of actually claiming you.)

She becomes the sweetest of all beans for the MC once romanced though. She’d burn the world to the ground if it meant keeping you by her side, wouldn’t hesitate to kill anyone that’d try to harm you, while, in the same breath, would trace nonsensical patterns on your back as she holds you, whispering sweet nothings in your ear, promising you eternity and then some.

I can already imagine various scenarios of the MC reigning Scarlett back once she’s romanced:

The crowd is bustling within the small café situated in the quaint town of Avalon, a place that had been established upon Aurelian’s founding. It’s a place you’ve visited multiple times, it being the closest town to the school, and the familiar aroma of coffee, cinnamon, and a tinge of smoke, is a welcomed one.

“You know what I think?” Blake remarks, a leftover crumb from the pastry they had just demolished, having shoved the rest of it into their mouth when the rather lively debate, as you’d like to call it, between themself and your girlfriend began to grow a bit more heated, falls from their lip.

“There’s actually a brain between those ears of yours, Herrera?” Scarlett intones, faux shock written across her face, the arm wrapped around your shoulders tightening. “I can’t quite believe it.”

Blake sneers. “Hardy har har, Beauty Queen.” Violet eyes shift towards you, a small pout tugging their lips downward. “Your girlfriend is being mean to me, Anon. Do something.”

“Do not bring my beloved into this insipid debate.”

“I’ll bring whoever I want into this. I’ll even bring Esmé as a character witness.” The aforementioned waitress, who had been headed towards your table with refills, turns around, partially due to not wanting to get involved and because of the glare that Scarlett had leveled towards her, and quickly disappears back into a throng of incoming patrons. Blake’s pout grows even more because of it. “That’s textbook witness intimidation, Voltaire, and I won’t have any more of it!”

Scarlett arches an elegant brow, clearly unimpressed with your best friend. “Do you wish for me to feel sympathetic to your plight?” She leans back, tugging you closer into her side. “I don’t believe I can, I find this all quite amusing in fact.”

“Anon!”

With a soft sigh— both due to your best friend’s pleading gaze and at the situation in general— you turn towards Scarlett and place a delicate kiss to her sharp jawline, nuzzling closer to the familiar scent of roses and something darker, sultry in a way, that you still don’t know the name of. A soft purr rumbles within her chest due to the action, the reaction eliciting a smile in response from yourself.

“If you play nice, Scar,” you murmur, pressing closer to your girlfriend. “I’ll let you do that thing you like when we get back to your room.”

Scarlett turns darkening eyes towards you, a predatory gleam striking a wave of heat straight to your core, but the low growl that’s intertwined within her smooth voice causes a shiver to rush down your spine. “And if I don’t, my heart?”

You pout, taking a page out of Blake’s playbook. “Then I’ll be upset.” Another light kiss is pressed to Scarlett’s jawline. “Please, baby, for me?”

At your genuine request, Scarlett immediately softens and places a chaste kiss to your temple.

“Anything.”

For a moment, as you stare into the luminescent green of your girlfriend’s eyes, you forget about the world; about Blake, about the other inhabitants of the café, about everything. It’s just you and Scarlett.

Until, of course, your moment is interrupted.

“How in the hell do you do that?” Blake whines, crossing their arms over their chest. “That’s totally unfair. Do you think maybe you could get her to foot our bill too?”

You roll your eyes. “Don’t push it, Blake.”

The Wrath of Sekhmet is based on the 1999 film ‘The Mummy’ and follows the original story of Sekhmet to the best of my research abilities, but also includes highly fictionalised elements.

As the archivist of the Museum of Antiquities in Cairo, you’ve collected a lot of knowledge over the thirteen years you’ve worked there. Yet, there has been nothing that fascinated you more than the story of Sekhmet.

A goddess of love turned goddess of war with a bloodlust so deadly that her father, the sun god Ra, was forced to fashion a necklace that Hathor could wear in order to contain Sekhmet.

The necklace glittered with gold and diamonds, but it was the single ruby that sat nestled at her throat that was the real treasure.

Said to contain a drop of Ra’s blood, it was a gem so powerful that it could grant lesser creatures invulnerability when the necklace was worn.

And now, your brother thinks he’s found the legendary Temple of Sekhmet. A temple that was supposedly built to house the necklace.

This could be the adventure of a lifetime and you refuse to be left behind.

This is an 18+ wip due to violence, depictions of blood and gore, optional sexual content, death, elements of body horror, and abduction.

El is charismatic, quick-witted, and familiar with the temple of Sekhmet making them the perfect companion on your quest. However, for all their charm, they are notorious for keeping everyone but Aksel at a distance, so it is a surprise to all when they quickly seem to develop a deep fondness for you. As well as a wicked protective streak.

Menna Bakir [M/F/NB] [RO]

As a Medjai Chieftain, Menna is responsible for the lives of many. For that reason, they have learnt to show little emotion, although it is noted that they soften around animals and now it seems, you. Once their trust has been earned and they become more comfortable with your group, you’ll see a much more relaxed and even teasing side to them.

Nakia/Nubia Hassan [M/F] [RO]

N can be utterly ruthless when it comes to getting what they want for the museum, but with you they're almost always very bubbly and friendly. They're your childhood best friend and your biggest supporter, and without them, you wouldn't be taking this trip across the desert to discover the secrets that lie in wait.

Aksel Madsen [NB] [RO]

While they seem lazy and unbothered, it doesn’t take long for you to realise that there’s something not quite right about them. They’re too observant, too intelligent, and too calculating. Despite this, you wouldn’t class them as a bad person, especially not when you’ve seen the way they look out for El and, on occasion, you.

Aurelian Academy, the pinnacle of evolution within the supernatural world; the first landmark to be erected after the Dark Ages— the time where supernatural races still lived within the shadows of the mortal world.

You’ve been prepared to go for your entire life— all one hundred years of it. Being the youngest child of a ruling vampire clan didn’t give you much choice in the matter. Going to Aurelian meant taking the next big step in your immortal life; finding your mate. While also honing your skills that will later help your people.

Quinn Grant [He/Him or She/Her] — Wolf-Shifter — An individual that’s been whispered about within the halls of your home; a prospected mate in the event that both your warring nations wish to unite. Now that you’re meeting them, you may be able to see if that’ll ever become a reality.

Caden Randall [He/Him or She/Her] — Phantom — Appearing on a random night five years before, they’re not exactly what someone comes to expect when thinking about a phantom: scared of their own shadow, fretful, and a complete neat freak. They’re tasked with ensuring your stay at Aurelian Academy goes smoothly.

Sloane Addams [He/Him or She/Her] — Wolf-Shifter — A wolf-shifter without a pack, disgraced in the deepest way possible, they don’t seem to be that overjoyed at the prospect of attending Aurelian Academy, but that doesn’t mean they’re not set on proving themself and finding a pack once more.

Blake Herrera [He/Him or She/Her] — Vampire-Hybrid — Your best friend (and potential FWB). With a flirtatious air, a rebellious spirit, and an affinity at finding trouble, they’re a vampire that takes a bit to get used to.

Reginald/Regina Presley [He/Him or She/Her] — Human — A scholarship student to Aurelian Academy; the first of many that may be attending. With a thirst for knowledge, along with a devil-may-care attitude, they’ll try their best to fit in. Of course, that’s easier said than done. As they’re the first human to ever be admitted as a student.

It's here! First, sorry for the long wait. Chapter 2 has proven to be a behemoth, and I'd gotten sick this past week, my computer broke, my documents went kaput and I had to do some Frankensteining for the last few pages of this part. I'm not too worried, as Part II update can help smooth out all the kinks. I will definitely be looking for beta testers once chapter 2 is complete ha

Anywho! Enough about my problems. This demo update adds 86k words (86, 818 to be exact) and is the first part of a two part chapter. Which means the narrative in this chapter is not complete, but I kind of closed it off at a pretty satisfying place. As with every Infamous chapter, this is very character driven. So have fun!

What to expect in Chapter Two PART I:

get on the bus & deal with the consequences of your actions lol

arrive to your first tour stop and do your first gig...which might get messy (both literally and figuratively)

this chapter has a lot of flavor text, or at least, more than the demo did, so if there are any errors or if there are lines that don't correspond with your choices, please let me know so i can fix that!

you will no longer be forced to write your own lyrics and the update will offer you pre-written lyrics by yours truly. im not t swift so i would advise you not to expect professional level songwriting, but they work well enough lolol

lyrics page is up as well as stats, but i don't really like the system i used to balance it, mostly because new...stat things will be added as the story goes on, so that's still getting reworked. still, good enough for now, as there are some personality stat checks!

Prologue and Chapter 1 errors/typos/grammatical bits fixed. (Wouldn't be surprised if I missed some though...) + variables updated.

Scenes not showing up fixed. hopefully, that huge error in which it throws you back to the fight after returning to the house is fixed (It was a bit wonky for me, hopefully it works for everyone else)

Stat and relationship pages updated ( + lyric page to look back at all your lyrics).

Can choose to be asexual and any sexual scenes will be skipped or replaced with romantic scenes. Flavor text in which MC displays any sort of sexual desire will be skipped. (This option comes up during Dakota's party scene. If not, it will show up when it presents itself again.) (Nothing sexual has come up yet, but if there are any scenes or even lines/ internal thoughts that should be skipped or changed for Asexual MCs, please let me know!)

The Human Society for the Preservation of Vampire Bloodlines (or HSPVB) is a covert organization dedicated to preserving and rescuing vampire bloodlines from extinction; it is run by humans whose families faithfully served their ancient masters. When the last of the royal vampires is killed by hunters, the HSPVB found a surviving human descendant, and planned to give her a vampire blood transfusion in order to revive the royal bloodline. There is one problem - they have three days before the human descendant becomes a nun.

In this scene, we wanted to portray Gwen as red-hot and disconnected from the rest of her bandmates. The scene ended up undergoing some changes so the colors that ended up in the film are different, but I still like these keys- they're the first ones I did on the movie!

The Idol: Griffin/Gina 'Gigi' Reign ✮ he/him or she/her, 28 ✮ [RO] -- the spunky, charming and controversial lead singer of Misfit Alley and now your mentor, G Reign is currently the most famous person on Earth. Everyone either hates them, wants to be them, or wants to fuck them. Of course, this means a slew of trouble if one gets close to them...that is if they even allow it.

Sebastian is your typical 'nice guy' almost too nice, sometimes, and has been dragged along by his daughter to follow the Battle of the Bands for her birthday. He's just a normal civilian. The last thing you should do is get to know him, right?

The Eye Candy: Victoria Valentine ✮ she/her, 27 ✮ [RO] -- G Reign's wife, she's an upcoming actress and model. Victoria has been G's eye candy since they came up on the scene, but you can almost sense the tension between them. And the way Victoria seeks shelter in someone else...that could be you.
