Favorite color: I don‘t really have a favorite color, tbh… I did as a kid, but not anymore😂. I love earthy colors though, so I think I‘ll go for that☺️.

Currently watching: I started watching Downton Abbey, and I LOVE it, but I‘m doing a rewatch of The Big Bang Theory as a break atm☺️.

Sweet/Savory/Spicy: all of it! Depends on my moods, but I like all of them.

Relationship status: I‘ve thrown myself into the dating game two months ago, which is still kinda scary but I‘m slowly getting the hang of it😅… as for the rest, I‘ve made incredible friends via the fandom over the last year and a half😍! So, I think it‘s going pretty well☺️.

Current obsession: gymnastics🤭 (who would‘ve thought😂?) I‘m seriously watching our performance videos from last season + training videos all day😅🥰.

Last song i listened to: "My Girl" by Aerosmith, which I've always assumed was about a car, but I suppose could be about a woman.

Favorite color: Deep red, though for homegoods I tend to go with blues or greens; same with clothes, except clothing also involves a lot of purple. On a car? Blaze Yellow. This is an absurd color for a car and I love it:

Look at that little inner-banana! Who put that color on a car and was like, "Oh man, that's hot. That's cool." Me, that's who.

Currently watching: At this exact moment, nothing! But I did watch the first season of Northern Exposure with my father when he came to visit.

Sweet/savory/spicy: Either sweet or savory in their turn, but I'd probably go with savory as a snack preference, and due to not liking things that are TOO sweet.

Relationship status: Trying to make local friends, I guess? I say "I guess" because I recognize and believe in the importance of having local community, but I also have very low social needs, so the idea of having to know more people than I already know is exhausting. Especially because I have non-local (or no-longer-local; I moved two years ago) friends I already vibematch really closely so hanging out doesn't feel like a social expenditure, and whom I want to keep in touch with. To say nothing of my Friends on the Internet! But I think I'm going to try to see if I can befriend the Bike People, so I can learn more about bicycles.

Current obsession: Honestly, I'm too exhausted to even think about the word "obsession" right now. ToT But I've watched a lot of bicycle videos recently, on account of doing research pre-/post-bicycle purchase. Were I not too exhausted my answer would be "MY BLEACH FANFIC."

"We should have brought earmuffs for him. I'm afraid the fireworks will be too loud."

"Phoe, we're literally a mile away from the shoot-off point."

"I think we may have an extra pair in our car from that air show last weekend. Bobby, would you go check?"

"I'd say you could borrow Willow's, but with her hearing problems, she kind of needs them."

"It's fine, Roost. Nat's just overreacting as -"

"I would stop that sentence right now if you ever want kids again, Bagman."

Jake promptly closed his mouth and grimaced at the buffalo-check quilt they were situated upon. Beside him, Bradley snorted as he resituated Willow and Evelyn on his lap. Across the blanket, Bob sent Jake an apologetic look as he rose from the blanket in favor of the royal blue Pacifica parallel-parked between a grey Tahoe and a black F-150 on the curb a few yards away.

"Fine. Tash, I'm sorry. I promise I wasn't trying to be difficult," Jake finally broke the silence, scooting closer to his wife who busied herself with situating baby Jeffrey on her lap.

"I know, I know," Phoenix muttered, brushing her infant son's raven hair when a mosquito flew a little too close for her liking. "I just wish I hadn't forgotten his earmuffs. I had them right by the door."

"If it makes you feel any better, we took Carole to an air show when she was about Jeffrey's age without ear protection," Jenn offered, watching as Lewis and her eldest daughter ran around with their diecast planes a few feet away.

"She didn't even bat an eye when the Blue Angels flew over our heads," Bradley chuckled in remembrance, jutting out his legs in a 'V' shape so Willow and Evelyn weren't so squished together.

"Oh, how neat! Lewis was so sad when the 'Blue Angles' as he calls them didn't fly at the show last weekend," Amanda laughed as she handed Lauren a package of Goldfish from her Vera Bradley backpack.

"I found them!" Bob broke into the conversation, jogging back to their picnic blanket with a honk of their minivan behind him. He slowed his pace as he came closer to his pilot, handing Natasha the pair of light blue earmuffs.

"Thank you, Bob," the raven-haired woman extended, situating the protective device over her son's head, ensuring they weren't too tight. "What would I do without you?"

"In the sky or on the ground?" the WSO quipped with innocence, making the three families laugh, save for Natasha, who simply shook her head at her back-seater with a fond grin.

"Look, they're starting!!" Jenn mentioned, drawing everyone's attention toward the horizon, where colorful blasts of fire exploded in the atmosphere.

The three couples gathered their respective children and watched as bright greens, reds, pinks, purples, blues, and other various shades from the rainbow shot into the sky. The fireworks were accompanied by clear skies that illuminated the stars twinkling behind the blasts of fire. It was the perfect summer night for some fire in the sky - at least, that is what the daggers and their families claimed.

At long last, once the finale of every single color in existence exploded in a loud hurrah of booms and crackles, the three families applauded and rose from their blankets to put the children to bed, exhausted from the days excitement of juicy hamburgers and melty popsicles in the Floyds backyard.

It wasn't until Jeffrey was settled into his crib that Natasha had forgotten to return the earmuffs Bob loaned her.

The Herbcrafter (Phoenix x Hangman)

Summary: Spring has sprung on the Hannix land and it shows

Natasha had been busy all morning trying to get the clay pots filled with soil and the seeds that would go in the garden beds come summer. The greenhouse was so warm, a little on the humid side but comfortable given that mid-April still had the tiniest bit of a chill in the air.

Baby Jack cooed and grabbed at the low neckline of her t-shirt with his little fingers, safely nestled inside the homemade sling Natasha had made from one of Jake's old shirts. "I know little man, I know," she said, rocking him gently and kissing his head. "Momma's almost done."

The sound of the truck coming up the gravel drive signaled that Jake had come home at last. He made his way to the greenhouse, rubbing the back of his neck and groaning.

"Babes, you good?" Natasha asked him as he came in.

"Fuckin muscles hurt," Jake groaned. "I could kill Fritz after the shit he pulled this afternoon."

Natasha smiled and rolled her eyes. "Alright, go get in the bathroom," she told him. "I'll get it set up."

"I'll take the baby though," Jake chuckled.

"Oh do you wanna feed him too?" Natasha asked again. "He's been quite cranky this morning."

Jake laughed taking Jack from her and following her into the house. Koda, their husky, wagged his tail wildly as Jake gently rocked Baby Jack and fed him from the bottle that had been made that morning. Koda peered right into the little Moses basket near the window, licking Jack's face as Jake tucked him in for a nap.

"Alright you big idiot, out, out" Jake ordered. "Baby needs sleep."

Up the creaky stairs he went to the bathroom, still an aching mess, but surprised at the setup Natasha had done. She had brought in the bamboo table and some of the houseplants along with the cobalt colored wall cloth. The soaps that she had made smelled sharp and musky while all along the bath ledges were the seashells they had collected from various trips to the beach. The water was steaming hot, while fresh seaweed floated on the surface.

"Alright knucklehead, get on in there," she told him.

"You gonna join me?" he asked.

"Gimme five minutes and then I will."

Jake purred, drawing her in for a kiss, helping each other off with their clothes before stepping into the hot water. If anything, it had been the best way to wind down after a long day.
