When I was a child , I had never seen male nurses. But now the situation is different.
Often when I go to the hospital I see male nurses, and when I was recently hospitalized with diabetic ketoacidosis there were several male nurses in the ward.
So I decided to include a young male nurse in my serialized comic "kettou" as well.
He has a pretty face like a girl, but he is a man. Please look forward to his future endeavors.

November 2023 Regular Diabetic Internal Medicine Visits
Today was my bimonthly diabetes doctor's day, but I have been having problems for a little while now. I had a slight fever and fatigue the other day, and once I recovered, my blood sugar level was high during the day, and I had "cold symptoms" such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose, and sometimes a sore throat.
I felt that hospitals are no longer as concerned about new-type coronavirus infections as they used to be, but I had to report that I had cold symptoms… So I told them at the hospital entrance that I had no fever or fatigue, and they said, "Please consult with the staff of the Department of Diabetology. When I talked to the office staff at the diabetes department, they said, "If you don't have a fever, you're fine, just see the doctor normally. Is everything okay?
The results showed that my blood sugar was elevated due to a cold, but there was no proteinuria, urinary sugar, or occult blood, and I seemed to be okay for now. The ferritin level was 56, which is not mentioned here.
I told her that I had been experiencing a feeling of discomfort in my throat since September (hysterical ball), but it finally subsided after a month or so of taking a Chinese herbal medicine called "Hange-koubokutou".
I heard that more and more women develop diabetes after menopause. That may mean that women who originally had diabetes are also prone to worsening blood sugar levels. I have to be careful.

Today I bought a Shonen Champion, aweekly magazine published by Akita Shoten. The reason is to read a new work by AI of Osamu Tezuka's great manga "Black Jack".
To tell the truth,I was a little dissatisfied with the manga, because it did not convey the emotions of the characters.
The cartoon's artwork (drawn by a human cartoonist, not an AI) was beautiful, but the story was lacking.
I believe that AI cannot yet fully imitate the human mind…just like Osamu Tezuka's "U-18".

I am a type 2 diabetic and already have several diabetic complications because I was unaware of that for many years. Among them I am concerned about diabetic retinopathy and macular edema in my left eye.
However, thanks to several years of living with keto my left eye is getting better.
I have diabetic retinopathy and macular edema and have never had any surgical treatment, only observation.
Many patients and doctors in Japan do not trust keto, but I am grateful for it.
