New Bacc idea conundrum:
Use old spreadsheet that is perfect in every single way already.
Make a new spreadsheet and make it perfect in every single way.
1 means quick start, but 2 means having fun.

Update:
I'm getting student funding on Friday yay!
I'm also in the works of accepting a 6 month contract for translation work where I'll get paid for my time and not the amount of words, with guaranteed 20h per week, which, because I live a very cheap lifestyle is basically enough to live on while still leaving me enough time for studying and still taking on a few other jobs.
I'm not counting my chickens yet though, but it seems like things might look up and I'm very grateful for all the kind messages I've received on the topic.
This is the state of things:
I am being replaced by AI, so I'm not getting hired for stuff.
I have about 1/3 of what I need to pay my bills and live coming in this month.
I have applied for student aid, but the application is taking longer to go through than usual.
These are options:
Close my business and look for another job.
Problems with this:
I cannot collect unemployment if my business is active, which means I couldn't accept a job if someone contacted me before I find said new job. It's all or nothing. Although at this point, it's almost nothing or nothing.
I'd have to stop studying if I collect unemployment. A new job, where I don't work from home, would likely interfere with school too.
Despite having two BAs, I don't have BAs in the right fields, so I'm only eligible for crap jobs. I don't want to be in a crap job for the rest of my life.
And today, I was supposed to hang out with my parents, but they cancelled on me and it HIT ME HARD, which is usually a sign that my mental health is headed for the toilet.

Some economy thoughts for a potential new hood that I would play and not tell anyone about:
Having money does not mean you get to spend it.
To buy a thing, you need to have made something out the right category from the work benches.
So, paintings and flowers cover most of the decorative categories.
Toys cover general furniture and of course, toys.
Robotics cover electric and plumbing
Sewing covers clothes and fabric categories (rugs, curtains) and also closets and dressers.
Customizable cars cover cars, and home expansions the size of a driveway.
Pottery covers outside furniture
In order to buy something from the electric category in buy, you need to have TWO of the same thing from the robotics station. These two things can be sold to be allowed to buy 1 thing from the electric and plumbing categories. If the robotics thing you sell is available without a badge, you can buy the cheapest thing of a type (first stereo etc. First fridge. First painting. Cheapest flowers. Cheapest toy. Cheapest crib. etc. etc.) on the first page of the catalogue. When you have two of those, you can sell them and buy the second cheapest, thus moving upward until you're happy with your home. If the robotics thing you sell requires a bronze badge, you can start on page two (not expanded to show four rows, 2 rows only), silver page 3, gold page 4.
These things can be made yourself, or they can be bought at a store, forcing sims to actually run business with crafted items.
Exception: For every sim in the family, added at the start or through gameplay, including pets as long as the pets are intended to stay in the family, and as long as a sim is not added just to move out, 500 simoleons can be spent on whatever the family needs.

I am really getting tired of this FAKE NEWS.
Trump DID NOT say windmills cause cancer.
If we are going to disparage this bloviating buffoon, we need to do it accurately.
He clearly stated the *noise* from windmills causes cancer.
youtube
Don't let this man get away with being less ridiculous than he actually is.
Noise cancer is orders of magnitude more stupid.
That would mean we could record windmill noises and then weaponize cancer by holding a boombox over our heads.

I have an idea for a cookbook.
Not one I will make, lol, but a concept I'd like to see used in cookbooks in general.
You know how sometimes you'll look at a cookbook and find a recipe that looks fun, but it would require you to buy like, ten spices and sauces and condiments and oils and vinegars that you don't already have, and unless you know cooking really well (I don't) there's no way of knowing which of these things that can be skipped, or substituted?
Well this is my idea.
Picture a risotto recipe.
On one page, the cookbook can give you the most basic version of a risotto possible. Minimal ingredients, low cost, super easy. If you've never made risotto, this is somewhere to start.
On the other page, the cookbook can give a more advanced version. Spices have been added for flavour, stuff have been added for consistency (and the recipe will tell you why that thing was added or changed so you can learn something). This is the cookbook writers favourite version of this recipe. But you don't have to cook that yet if you feel like the basic version is enough. And if you want to, you can add/change a couple of things to the recipe every time you make it, making it progressively more and more delicious.
This is what I want from the next cookbook I buy.

My favourite April Fools joke from 2024 is the r/eurovision subreddit where we pretend it's 1995 and everyone goes along with it.
It really is time to end the Irish dominance in the ESC, but anyone who thinks it will be Norway is crazy, that song is far too instrumental for eurovision.

Read a book that reminded me vaguely of Charmed, so now I know what I'll be binging in the next couple of weeks, and also what song I will listen to on repeat forever.

Visiting my parents for Easter, helping them pack because they're moving soon.
My dad: I don't need that thing. But someone might need it, so I'd better take that thing that no one knows I have and will think to ask me if I have and pack it up so it can end up in our next storage room in the new apartment, never to be used for another ten years.
They're also saving everything they got from their parents, even if it will never be used, and they never look at it and all it does is sit in a drawer.
And don't get me started on the amount of table cloths and runners my mom has saved, for some reason, even if she can only use like three in her entire apartment at once. There are TWO full moving boxes of the stuff.
