A very big “thank you for your service” to every blog on here that deals with debunking pseudoscientific, racist, eugenic, antisemitic, ethnonationalist, and otherwise harmful movements among the magical and religious spaces. I personally would’ve never had the patience to deal with ignorant questions, baseless attacks, or otherwise the pressure of having to educate people that might not want to listen.
You’re doing and important job. You’re valuable and vital for this community. Thank you. 🧡

"You can't magic away your mental illness and trauma" and "magic can be a great tool to help manage mental illness and trauma" are both true statements. This isn't a black or white issue. Something can be super helpful without being claimed to permanently cure you of suffering.

Before I argued with a shit ton of landlords and wannabe landlords: I think we should strengthen tenant’s rights and enforce our existing tenant protection laws better, and increase our housing benefits.
After spending too much time arguing with landlords and wannabe landlords: Fuck it. It should be illegal to own homes you don’t live in. If you won’t sell to the people renting from you, people should forcibly take your property. All landlords are parasites.

I’ve never seen the true brilliance of Earth more clearly than when I found myself on an empty beach at night while it was raining. Most people think of sunny days when they think beach, not rainy nights.

Can Vogue stop asking non Native American people what their spirit animal is please.
Or can at least three celebrities respond with something like:
“Well I’m not Native American so I don’t have a spirit animal, but I do really love cats.”
Or even,
“I’m not Native American, so I can’t have a spirit animal but my patronus would be a hawk.”
Or just,
“Spirit Animals are part of certain Native American cultures so I don’t have one but my animal guide would probably be a tree frog or something.”
While we’re at it, spirit animals are not something Native Americans “used to believe” Native Americans exist right now.
Stop “forgetting”, stop erasing.

Do other witches start their grimoire and book of shadows off with a table of contents.... cuz I feel like it’d be common but also it might just be me??? I’m just not looking through the whole damn book, there’s a lot of info on a lot of topics in there...... tell me where to find what I want, this is not a scavenger hunt, it’s me trying to find out my other ways to develop a relationship with the local genius loci. Like ‘symptoms of the cursed’ GTFO of my face I’m trying to be friends with the hill I live on.
