This makes me so sad to read. My grandmother had breast cancer and had to have one of them removed. Side note this is one of the many reasons she was one of the strongest woman I have had the pleasure of knowing. My grandmother and grandfather we're married over 50 years and not once did I ever see my grandfather treat her any differently. To be perfectly honest he called her The duchesses and the boss because he treated her with so much respect and admiration. For someone to be so out right disrespectful and mean to someone that they supposedly "love" isn't truly loving someone. It's really sad to see that not a lot of people have the love and care for others that they should. Love isn't conditional or at least it shouldn't be. If someone can't look at you the same way after having surgery to stay alive, that's sad and pretty selfish. I also want to be clear that you don't have to be attracted to or like the scars but that shouldn't make any difference on how you look at the person you are with. Love isn't just about physical intimacy with someone and yes to many people being sexually attracted to someone largly plays into the love they have but it shouldn't be everything that makes you love a person. You should love someone for the person they are and how they make you feel. If someone treats you like this after going through cancer and needing surgery you deserve so much better. I hope people who have experienced this negative reaction afterwards know how amazing and how beautiful you all are and most importantly so strong. Didn't mean to rant but that was important.

it’s pretty fucking obvious that men only want to invest in breast cancer research to further degrade, objectify, and jerk off to body parts they already feel 100% entitled to. that’s what is at stake for them. 

what about the women whose “tatas” weren’t saved? how must they feel being surrounded by awareness ads that focus more on keeping women’s sexy-sexy-titties-to-continue-titillating-the-males than saving real life human beings and helping survivors?

Hey, it's the host of the system Alby was in. I just wanted to thank you and so did the rest of us. The troublesome alter (Creature) talks in the headspace now and he's really nice for acting like a stone cold b*stard towards my parents. The little who age-slides (Mauve) really wants to say hi, and Alby is so grateful. He gets really worried when I don't show up and he can't manage Creature very well. Rachel also wanted to thank you even though she claims to have no emotional involvement w this.

Oh! To you and your system you are all welcome. I’m glad my advice helped and thanks for letting me know how everything worked out. This made my day honestly. I started this blog so I could connect to others dealing with D.I.D or just trauma & recovery in general. It’s really been important to me for a long time to want to help others and offer advice and support. So I really appreciate hearing back!

@systemofafault I just want to say that even though I can’t really add much on this subject, seeing as I don’t know very much about it. I do know you are very right on what you first said.

It’s very intentional that the US education system doesn’t teach the definitions of communism and socialism in school. They don’t teach kids that capitalism is when the wealthy elite own the means of production, they don’t teach kids that socialism is when the people own the means of production.

What they do teach is in the direct interest of the wealthy elite, the people who control the way the children are educated. You don’t learn true definitions until you look into it, or allotted the opportunity to look into it, usually when you’re already wealthy and have the ability to attend a university.

This obfuscation, this confusion, this is all intentional. It’s absolutely beneficial to capitalists to have the world unsure what revolution is, it’s beneficial for capitalists to have the world not understand that the people could take the means of production from them.

This is the reason most do not know basic definitions of these political ideologies. This is the reason why people so adamantly defend that which is against their own interest, they are lied to from childhood. Indoctrinated in capitalist ideology from birth; built to defend a system structurally eliminating them.

Wanted to re-blog from the general system blog to my side blog.

I don’t need anyone’s validation in the way I feel and my recovery. It’s personal and it’s how I feel. If anyone disagree’s if D.I.D is real or not I could care less. I honestly feel bad that some people can’t step outside of what might be “normal” and open their mind. When you deal with bullies and people hating you your whole life you kind of just don’t care about it after a while when someone try’s to intentionally hurt you. Like lol okay but you’re not me so you don’t know how I feel?? Thank’s though. XD
