Greetings artists, writers, and all Shadowhunters lovers in between! We have an exciting announcement for you!

In past years, the @malecdiscordserver has had the pleasure of putting on the Shadowhunters Mini Bang, and we’ve appreciated all of the time and effort that has been put into that event. This year, we’re looking to change things up.

Below is a link to the Shadowhunters Reverse Bang 2022 Interest Check!

Before we commit our time to it, we wanted to gauge your interest in participating in another collaborative event. The interest check has a few simple questions that will help the Mods figure out the best way to run this reverse bang. This will allow us to consider how many artists and writers are interested, what participants may be comfortable with as a minimum commitment, and whether joining the Malec Server will be a mandatory requirement as it has been in past years. This form is anonymous and no names/emails are recorded.

What is a reverse bang, you might ask? Similar to previous years Mini Bangs, a reverse bang is... well, reverse. Instead of writers creating a story and artists finding inspiration in it, artists will have the chance to create art that writers will find inspiration in. Artists will create never before seen art prompts and writers will get to claim that art prompt that most inspires them.

When you present your interest, please keep in mind that this is a collaborative event, and artists and authors must work together and commit as best as they can in order for it to succeed.

This started as Christmas Cryptids, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get anything else written this month, so I threw the rest of the prompt list at it too to see what else would stick. I think I managed to also squeeze in Stranded, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, Terrible Traditions, Family Matters, Broken Dreams, If the Fates Allow, and Memories for extra angst.

How it works:

You can make any sort of creations, fics, gifs, edits, drawings, videos etc for any pairings OTHER THAN MALEC.

Shadowhunters 25 Days of Whumpmas is an event running through all of December, dedicated to combining three of the best things: holiday festivities, shadowhunters and pain!

The collection is open to all pairings and all content! The prompts can be used as loosely as wanted, as they’re mostly here to inspire us to write some angsty holiday related fics about our favorite show (or book series)! Join in as much or as little as you want (even after December is over)!

Announcing the first ever Jalec Prompt Challenge Gift Exchange!

To celebrate the end of our first year of prompts, we are running a December Gift Exchange.

This is a Shadowhunters gift exchange for Jalec, Malace and Jalec+ ships.
