basically, I saw a YouTube comment explaining on how being gay is similar to being overweight (in the sense that neither is a choice) and I'm just thinking...

cant you lose weight though? like obviously it'll be harder for certain folks, and you may have something like an ED preventing you but some fat people are fat just cause they eat tons and don't want to move/cant move.

whereas you cant just go on a diet and suddenly stop being gay. there's no way to "pray the gay away" (unlike what a lot of fucking insane queerphobic pastors would tell you...)

so in that way their totally different. being gay isn't a choice, whereas being overweight or at least staying overweight, can be.

hey yall. this is probably gonna be one of the last posts about this, since im running out of time. because of @punkitt-is-here's super awesome kind reblog, i managed to make about 500 dollars, bringing me up to 1500, but after that things have slowed down to nearly nothing again. thank you to everyone that has donated, i appreciate it more than you could know, and thank you to the handful of famous people who reblogged and gave me a shitload of exposure.

im not sure if making 500 dollars in the next 2 months is going to be like.. possible. and after all the research ive been doing, im honestly not completely confident that 2000 dollars is going to be enough. im hoping that ill be able to pay for a few months of rent at once, so that im more likely to be able to get a place without already having a job in abq. so right now, my goal is basically "crowdfund as much as i possibly can so i dont have to live on the streets"

im hoping for a miracle right now. maybe, under the right circumstances, that could be you. maybe you just got paid and you dont have anything to use the paycheck on, maybe you have a bunch of savings that you could spare a portion of, i dont know, but god, i could really use as much kindness as i can find right now.

ways to correct people who misgender you

for me correcting people is really hard bc i have really bad social anxiety so i made a list of ways to correct people that might be easier. (sent this to our-transmasculine-experience but i thought i’d post this here too)

my teacher misgendered me so i wrote my pronouns next to my name on a worksheet. not only did he start gendering me correctly, he also felt bad so he went easy on me for a bit (didn’t grade as harshly and called on me before other people) NOT THAT MAKING PEOPLE FEEL BAD IS GOOD

you can have a friend gender you correctly in front of the misgenderer MANY times (it takes a lot of times lol) works better if they know you and friend are close

pronoun pin (didn’t work that well for me, but it did get a few people to start gendering me correctly so give it a go if you want :)

not necessarily towards the person but mention your gender like “ugh being non binary is so hard sometimes” or like “i got that tboy swag” bc that may get them thinking and they may ask you your pronouns

you can put your pronouns in your email signature
