JFK and Jackie storytime!

Again, thank you so, so much for the support and love that you’ve given my blog! I hope you guys enjoy these stories. These come from various books that I’ve read, and I hope you guys like them. Again, thank you so much for the continuous love and support here! It means to much to me! (: [Roanoke]

1.“When we reached Newport late that evening after the long drive from Boston, I had my first meeting with Jacqueline Bouvier. Shortly after Jack and I had reached the house, she came down in a bathrobe and slippers. Her wide-eyed beauty, her grace and quiet ease of manner caused me to show her unusual deference for someone in her early twenties…With all her sophistication, she couldn’t conceal her love for Jack. Because I was there, Jack was a little self-conscious. After giving her a relatively quick kiss and embrace, he turned, partly breaking the embrace, and said, ‘Jackie, this is Red Fay.’ We went into the kitchen for a glass of milk and freshly baked chocolate-covered pan cake. While we ate and talked, Jacqueline would reach for Jack’s arm or hand, and speak with great delight of their coming marriage. She laughed. She almost sang. She did all the things a young, beautiful girl does when she is in love and the man she loves is with her. The Senator, who was then thirty-six, tried to appear casual about all the affection coming his way, but obviously was thoroughly enjoying every second.”

2. One night, Jackie drifted over to Jack’s bedroom wearing a diaphanous (see-through) nightgown and saw her husband lying on the bed and talking-or so she thought-on the phone. “I’d been in and out of there all evening,” recalled Jackie, who ran toward husband’s bed only to have him wave her away. “Get out! Get out!” JFK shouted. When she turned, Jackie realized that owlish, stiff collared McGeorge Bundy was standing there. “Poor Puritan Bundy,” she laughed, “to see a woman running in her night gown. He threw both hands over his eyes.” Another night, the president and First Lady awoke to see a sheepish Bundy standing at the foot of the bed with an urgent cable.

3. This story, is sort of twisted from book to book. Some say it was during the day, but while this source says that it happened at night. I posted it here regardless because I thought that it was fitting. ”Perhaps last night had been her last truly private time with her husband. After a busy day, she had turned in for the night but couldn’t sleep. Later, she would remember, something didn’t feel right to her. Something was very wrong, in fact. She needed Jack, she wanted him to hold her in his arms. So, as she would later remember it, she let herself into her husband’s room at about 2 A.M., slipped into his bed, and roused him from a sound sleep. Then, after making love, husband and wife fell asleep in each other’s arms.” (Jackie Ethel Joan, Women of Camelot)

4.” They bounded into the helicopter and I waited to see the steps drawn up. Instead, the President unexpectedly reappeared in the doorway and descended the steps alone. How unusual, I though. Then I saw why. Jackie, her hair wild in the gale of the rotors, was running from the South Portico across the grass. She almost met him at the helicopter steps and she reached up with her arms. They stood motionless in an embrace for many seconds. Perhaps no one else noted that rare demonstration of affection. A few days later in the publicized hours of the Cuban Missile Crisis, I remembered it. I thought of its deep significance- the un-breakable bond of love between them that showed clearest in times of trouble.”

5. “But Ketchum and his crew were preparing to straighten out the rooms and return them to their former majestic grandeur, Jackie realized she couldn’t resist one more hoax. “I want to play a trick on Jack,” she said. She found the President, escorted him to the Lincoln Room, and said, “I just wanted you to see what we’re doing here, Jack.” “Jackie, no!” a bewildered JFK exclaimed. “Not again. You already did the Lincoln Room. When is this going to end?” Jackie broken into a grin, then into convulsive laughter. “The two of them laughed themselves silly,” recalls Jim Ketchum.

Jung Jaehyun looked at you like you were his whole world and more all wrapped up into one. He stood leaning on the balcony door, a soft smile gracing his features, even though his posture hinted at his exhaustion from the day. You removed yourself from the balcony, abandoning the brightly lit buildings for your husband’s arms, “I love you too baby, so much.” you say as you bury yourself in his embrace.

You smile up at him, moving away so you could guide his hand to your lower stomach, “and so does the little one."

If possible, Jaehyun’s smile grew bigger, "I can’t wait, oh God baby I really can’t wait.” he let out a laugh of disbelief, looking at you in wonderment “we’re going to be a family! This feels too good to be true.”

You let out a laugh at Jaehyun’s excitement, he looked like a kid in a candy shop, sadly, he didn’t know that his words would become true very soon. For people in his profession, some things were too good to be true. ********* You don’t remember how you got here or how you ended up in this position, but all you could smell was blood. It was everywhere, consuming you and your surroundings, making it difficult to focus enough to even fully open your swollen eyes. You couldn’t tell if the blood you were lying in was yours, Jaehyun’s or, God forbid, your child’s.

The warehouse was dark and empty, only lit by a handful of florescent bulbs hanging from the ceiling. The iron rods that were used on your bodies lay abandoned to the side. Jaehyun had stopped moving, the lack of movement from his chest worrying you, but it was the silence that concerned you the most.

You couldn’t hear your baby crying anymore.

You lay on your stomach, barely able to see your husband from the corner of your eye. He lay on his back, his suit torn and stained with crimson, his body was littered with bruises and cuts that only a soulless being could cast, your child nowhere in sight.

That’s what these people were, soulless, dark creatures who didn’t have the right to call themselves human, your baby, your innocent little child was torn from your grasp by these monsters, and all you could do was lie there in pool of blood and pray that he would live.

Your thoughts were cut short as someone grabbed the back of your neck and pulled you to your knees, placing a small blade next to your aorta. “my, my, my, look at you y/n. A child later and you’re still just as beautiful as the day I laid eyes on you.”

It was that voice.

The voice you heard countless times before, speaking in the same tone to some other sorry sucker who got stuck in his- your mafia’s trap.

“P-Park Jinyoung.”

The blade dug deeper into your skin, “and she remembers my name.” “w-where’s m-my baby?” you ask airily. You immediately, start coughing, spitting up blood and other bodily fluids.

“Oh, don’t worry about that thing my love, it's… taken care of.”

You felt your heart shatter at his words, your little bundle of joy was gone, ripped from your grasp by these animals.

“…n-no…” You breathed out, tears blurring your vision even more.

Jinyoung sighed, “tsk, tsk, tsk y/n, this would never had happened if you just did as you were told and married me.”

Your eyes hardened at his comment, “You’re twice my age! My father left me in your care so you could raise me until I was old enough to take over, not so you could marry me, uncle Jinyoung!”

The grip on your neck tightened, the pain going through your body was unbearable, the men who beat you with the iron rods were nowhere to be found, the only indication of their presence was the pain in your body and your husbands limp form lying not too far from you.

“I would’ve loved you. I would’ve given you everything, age doesn’t matter, you didn’t want to have anything to do with the mafia anyways, you could’ve handed it off to me, and I would’ve had you, we would’ve been a perfect little family, but you just had to run away with that nothing from that NCT mafia, huh?”

“we’re going to be a family!”

Jaehyun’s voice rang through your head, reminding you of why you went through everything; every broken finger, every lash of iron, and every little tear, scream and drop of blood that was spilt today.

You wanted a family, your family.

you sped up your walking pace, but so as the person stalking you. “fuck, shouldn’t have gone to the mall today.” you murmured under your breath. you regretted not telling your mafia!bf jaehyun that you actually went to the mall with your friend instead of doing project work at her house. you lied to jaehyun saying that you’re going to your friend’s house to do a project, just so that you could go to the mall with your friend, since you knew he mostly likely won’t agree. you also lied to him saying that your friend would send you back, because you knew that he was busy and you didn’t want to trouble him. but now you regretted everything. not only were you stalked by one of the members from jaehyun’s rival gang, you were also unable to ask help from his gang cause your phone is flat.

just then, the stalker took your wrist and slammed you against a concrete wall. he took out a knife and placed it on your porcelain face. “you must be y/n... jaehyun’s beloved gem... now tell me, where the fuck is his hideout, or else... your porcelain face will be slashed badly.” the stalker demanded. you shivered in fear, nothing came out of your mouth as you felt the cold blade against you face. however, in a split second, the stalker was sent flying by a punch. he layed on the floor unconscious. if it was not for his blue hair, you wouldn’t have recognised who was the one who saved you.

you immediately hugged him tightly and buried your face into his chest while you sobbed and apologised. you were absolutely terrified. he caressed your hair and comforted you. he felt really bad about how his job has endangered your life. “shh baby it’s alright now, i’m here... but please tell me to fetch you next time when it’s already so late...”

“The artist is very busy. I need to take every opportunity that I can to meet with them. I’ll try to come home as soon as I can, okay?”

You didn’t respond. You just turned your head away from him, a pout appearing on your lips.

It wasn’t your fault, and it probably seemed unrealistic for an idol to be so shy, right? After all. you were the public eye almost all of the time, surely you had gotten used to it by now, right? No, you hadn’t gotten used to it, and this point you didn’t think you would ever get used to it.

You always had to have your brothers answer questions for you at big events or interviews. If the interviewer asked something for you specifically, you usually whispered it to Namjoon so he could translate, because you were too shy, or you would tell whoever was closest to you, and they would in turn, tell him.

You struggled to talk to anyone outside of your brothers at events, and usually they didn’t have a problem with you hanging around one of them all night. At least then they knew you were safe.

But Jeongguk was struggling as he stood next to Jaehyun, listening to him talk about how beautiful he thought you were as you were standing next to Taehyung, fiddling with your phone while he chatted with some friends of his.

“I mean, she’s so talented too, and-”

“Why don’t you go talk to her?” Jaehyun’s eyes widened as he turned to look at him, but Jeongguk just nodded. “i’m serious, go talk to her. Maybe if she has you to talk to she won’t feel so anxious when we come to things like this. There’s no harm in it, plus you might even get a date with her.”

Jaehyun fumbled his words, “I-I don’t think-”

“Look how alone she looks, just standing with Taehyung while he talks about something she probably has no idea about again,” he gently shoved the other man in your direction, but he stood firm. “You said she was shy, and I don’t want to make her uncomfortable,” he protested, making your youngest brother sigh. “You’re a perfect match for her,” he mumbled under his breath, “always making my life difficult.” He straightened up, patting his friend on the shoulder. “Alright fine, just stay here.”

He caught your attention easily, thanks to the way you were looking around the room mindlessly. He gestured to Jaehyun, mouthing for you to come over, but your eyes just widened and you immediately started shaking your head.

He sighed, moving his hand at you in a stopping motion as if to say, “fine, calm down.” He chewed his lip as he looked in between the two of you, mind running to form a plan. He grabbed Jaehyun by the arm, pushing him in front of him. “Hey, lets go get a drink!”

Jaehyun furrowed his eyebrows, not knowing what his friend was up to, but he still nodded. “Yeah, sure, okay- wait!”

Right as they passed you, Jeongguk pretended to stumble and shoved Jaehyun into you. You stumbled, would have hit the wall but the taller male wrapped an arm around you. “Are you alright?” He asked when you were back on your feet.

You stared up at him, mouth opening and closing but no sound coming out. Your cheeks were dusted in pink, and your hands shook as you let out a tiny squeak, ducking your head and moving away from him. “I-I’m sorry!” You told him, barely above a whisper, before turning and running away.

Jeongguk sighed, completely ignoring Jaehyun glaring at him as he stared after you. “What did I say? Making my life difficult,” he mumbled to himself.

🎶K-pop Playlist for those who Lost a Loved One

Loosing a loved one .. the most painful feeling ever I ever felt for the 17 years of my life.

A month ago, I was at school taking my midterms when my grandmother unexpectedly left this world. I still remember that day clearly 03/03/2020, I was about to go home after midterms when my aunt told me…. my grandmother has left this world, I couldn’t believe it …. I remember weeping, and throwing up everywhere. I didn’t say goodbye to her that morning before going to school and guess what ….. it is true those quotes where they say …. you’ll regret not saying I love you to the ones you love when their gone.Thinking about it now …. I know there are probably tons of people whom are suffering through the same sadness and grief I am feeling , so here are the songs I listened to that made me remind me of my one and only grandmother… and some ways to remember your lost loved one

1.) Missing You by: BTOB

Yes, it is supposed to be for a lover but honestly go ahead and click the link and listen plus go and read the lyrics. There were 2 songs that made me cry when my grandmother suddenly left this world and one of them was this song. The lyrics went like this ..

“ A whole day went by missing you A whole year went by missing you. I just live like that Missing you missing”

The song portrays a person thinking they could live on without the person they love , but soon afterwards realizing that, the reality is they could not move on and knowing that it’s too late.

I promise you guys to go check it out and understand the message of the song. It’s a beautiful masterpiece.

2.) I’ll Smile Even If It Hurts by: Ladies Code

The 2nd song that made me cry like a lot would be this piece. You guys might have heard of the sad news from 2014 when ladies code lost 2 of their members. But if you have lost a loved one, this song is the main deal. The lyrics are the real deal when my heart was in pain, one of the lyrics that tugged my heart would be…

“ I still can’t believe it It feels like I could still see you I tell myself that it’s a lie The fact that you left my side Your face that’s smiling in the photo The past days that seemed would last forever But one day, suddenly You left my side But I won’t cry, so you won’t feel bad I’ll try living without you now No matter how much it hurts, even if tears keep coming I wanna smile, I wanna think of you and smile”

The song portrays a person in grief after loosing a loved one, and although their heart hurts they promise to smile and move on while missing the person that left this world suddenly.

This will be my number 1 recommended song so go check it out. It’s okay to cry so just let it out.

I know…. it’s supposed to be a love song that’s angsty but seriously though, not all love songs an be ‘love’ songs…. you can look at it at another perspective. The lyrics that caught my eye would be ….

The song portrays a individual hoping to reunite with the one they love even if it is through their dreams.

If you guys are NCTzens…. then that would be better. #YUTAGOTLINES I recommend you to listen to this track at night though, cause it’s pure sad.

4.) Goodbye by: Red Velvet’s Wendy

another love-ish song but, this time the melody will make you cry. Wendy’s solo track for the OST album for the drama ‘The Beauty Inside’ .I haven’t watched the drama yet but I have watched some clips and one particular quote got my attention.The leading character’s mother passed away and one of the characters came to visit and she said these lines…

“Now what will you do? Your mom passed away as well? ….. After a tough experience meaningless consolation were all useless, It was like that for me. ‘Stay strong’ , ‘Cheer up’. Rather than those words…. ‘Now how and in what way will you live?’.The person that said so remained memorable in my heart.”

The song portrays a individual scared of hurting the one they long for again so instead they watch over them from a far place but instead says a goodbye to them only hoping for their loved one to remember them as time passes.

5.) Always by: Red Velvet’s Seulgi

This one made me cry while writing on my journal…. yes I do have a journal dedicated to my grandmother i’ll write about it when I have time.

Our Revel members made me cry and emotional . When I listen to the songs they sing … it made me remember all the things I should have done and all the unsaid words I should have said before everything just ended… Anyways here are the lyrics that I loved…

“ We’re a bit far apart today But let me send my heart with the blowing wind My love, don’t be sad Our story Is endless and beautiful “

The song portrays a individual in their own point of view , saying they would meet again with the one they love, and even if it may take centuries or years , the person promises to live until that moment and when they meet again they will spend an eternity with each other

Now this song really made me cry, when I was in the funeral home I promised my grandmother in front of her casket that I would live well and make her proud. I said to her that when the time comes one day when I have to leave this world as well… I wish that in that world we would be together where death will not exist and we will live in that world happily without problems and sadness.

6.) Christmas Without You by: Taeyeon

Taeyeon is the real ost queen but here is another one of her tracks that made me remember my grandma once again. I found out 2 days ago that in our tradition we can’t celebrate any birthdays, holidays and give out gifts for 2 whole years. Yes, It is a sign of mourning but here is a emotional lyric for all of you …

The song conveys a message where winter and Christmas is put in the story conveying a sad story where the main character just lost someone they love dearly but now it will be the first Christmas without that person.

Now this is pure sadness cause taeyeon is pure sadness …

7.) This Christmas by: Taeyeon

Another Taeyeon song for you. She originally released this song for her father, thinking about how different it was when she was young and now to when she has grown into an adult.

A similar story to mine is that, I am dumb honestly … I was always rude to my grandmother when she was still here and believe me when I say I regret it a lot.I love her a lot and my heart hurts a lot every time I think about it but I promised her that I will not feel sad for her and will continue to live my life so she would be proud… so now ask yourself if that person you just lost would want you to cry and just lock yourself up because you regret… your guilty…

8.) Every Day Every Moment by: Paul Kim

This song well you can look at it in another perspective…

This track is from the OST album of the drama ‘Should We Kiss First?’. Its a emotional filled song , another reminder you can look at the songs in another perspective.

For me my grandmother is the comforting arms to the end of the day she was a light from heaven, always comforting everyone with her smile, food, and her humor. And if only I could be with her , I would tell her that she is a sunshine to all of us. Here is the lyrics that tugged my heartstrings…

“ In my anxious and suffering life You came to me like a ray of light and made me smile You alone are enough for me Because there’s no need for words, I know by your eyes Flowers bloom and wither Every day, every moment, let’s be together”

The song portrays a story where the singer talks about a certain person that comforts them and he/ she talks about how that person is enough for them and they would be together with each other.

9.) So Long by: Paul Kim

Yes, another Paul Kim song but this time out of all the songs in this playlist this one stays in my heart.

It was when ‘Hotel Del Luna’ was still airing at South Korea when I patiently waited for each episode every week and this song has a perfect message that made me cry everytime I listened to it, here are the lyrics….

“ Goodbye, goodbye now I just can’t say those words My heart is filled with you The only thing I could do Is to love you I hope I can see you again” “ Our encounter was short But you made me blossom like destiny I’ll dream of you every night But as much as this longing fills me There’s only one wish I have Please stay by my side”

The song has a emotion filled message wherein the singer say a tear-filled goodbye to a departed loved one, the singer believes and hopes that one day they will meet again, in the mean time he only hopes to see that loved one through his/ her dreams.

10.) Coming Home by: NCT U

Yes, another NCT song… this song is quite underated though.

But yes, its another song to soothe you in the mourning and grieving you are going through.

Here are some lyrics..

“ When I walked for a while On the snowy street I turned around and you were looking at me Even when my time is up I will go to you And we’ll go back home where it’s warm”

The song talks about how a certain loved one is the singer’s only comfort and when they are tired and are ready to rest they will return to their home.. whom is that loved one.

The thing is ….. It’s hard

Loosing someone who you’ve been with for the whole of your life and the only way after loosing them is grieving and mourning. I am still mourning up till now , the thing is …. I honestly still can’t accept it and I still want to turn back time and tell her all the things I should’ve told her … but thinking about it now It’s better this way at least now she’s not suffering.

I know how hard it is so hang in there … giving you guys a virtual hug and I got some suggestions to remember your loved ones, I recently started a journal where I constantly write letters to my grandmother, I add stickers , designs and quotes plus English translations of the songs that remind me of her .

It’s a way to remember our loved ones and a lesson learned for the future.
