The Ministry of Magic of England is since the second war of magic England a place of great changes. In 2020, the former Minister died in a tragic accident (was it ?). A year later, Arthur Talley took the job and eventually managed to reveal all of the deep secrets of the Ministry of Magic concerning the wizard hunters : they were way more influent and important than the Ministry wanted them to be. This revelation created a huge wave of panic within the magic community.
But Talley spoke up and assured they could fight it by raising their own army. An army no one could even imagine to defeat, raised in youth and formed to become the elite of the nation.
But as soon as the acts were signs, the Ministry of Magic grew quieter, and the open communication between the wizards and the ministry became less and less true.
What is hiding between the dark walls of the Ministry ?

The Natures
Natures are neither gifts nor talents. Those that involve hybridization are simply the result of the union of a species with a sorcerer, while others are the result of a curse. Hereditary natures are passed down from generation to generation, without skipping generations. Wizards from these families are hybrids, since pure veela, giants and water beings are not wizards and cannot be admitted to Hogwarts.
⁣  𝟭 - 𝘝𝘌𝘌𝘓𝘈𝘚
The veelas are beings of captivating beauty, capable of charming beyond normality. The term veela in the feminine term designates the two sexes of veela, male and female. Veela hair is used to create powerful wands. A veela's greatest weakness lies in her emotions. If she is made angry, her charm wears off and she becomes a harpy.
Veela hybrids (born from a veela and a wizard) have great skills in spells and potions linked to charm or psychomancy. They develop a strong charisma that allows them to be listened to, but are not capable of manipulating others like their pure veela ancestors. It is only possible to have the powers of a veela by having a veela as a direct ancestor.

The Gifts
A gift is basically a particularity that your character has had since birth. He must learn to master it during his life so that it is not a handicap to him, which is why wizards with gifts who are also talents have much more mastery on their ability given that they have had to work on it since childhood.

The Talents

Lachlan McCarthy

FIRST NAME : Lachlan. LAST NAME : McCarthy.
Lachlan McCarthy was born on the 24th of april 1980 and is 44 years old. He is the son of a wizard and a muggle, but he was abandoned at birth by his mother who did not want to raise a wizard's child, and by his father who did not want to raise a squib.
Raised in an orphanage until he was 18, he was never adopted. He entered the army after his short studies and was traumatized by war crimes. When he returned home, he took a job as a mechanic.
It was in 2018 that he discovered his true nature as a squib and thus the existence of the magical world. He worked hard to find his father, but when he did, he did not give him a happy reunion, eliminating his entire family and his father last. Thus began the wizard hunts.

The Muggle Militias

What is the point of living in a world where you have to fear the living ?
In 2018, a man discovered that he was a Squib, child of a wizard and a muggle. But instead of exploiting this nature for his own sake, he let the hatred against wizard grow in his soul. Initiating the first wizard hunt, he killed his biological father and his family.
After this atrocious act of patricide, he formed the first militia, with a few followers by his side, and started hunting witches and wizards all over England.
The Ministry of Magic didn't took them seriously at first. They thought it would be easy to handle and shut down. Until their counterattack was completely unsuccessful. They lost a lot of wizards in it, but the Daily Prophet hid the fact that there were wizards in their ranks, using wands and guns, creating new weapons using magic against the magic, totally deactivating the magic in one wizard's blood.
Soon, the muggle militias grew and spread all over the world, in America, Africa, Oceania and at last, Asia. But in the end, they all had the same leader, the first Wizard Hunter : Lachlan McCarthy. Threatening the Ministry of Magic and the Wizard Communities, forcing the wizards to form new alliance against the muggles, enforcing the muggle and muggle-born discrimination.
But nothing can stop Lachlan McCarthy from erasing the unworth magic people from the world, the muggle world as he says.

Have you wondered who's behind the whole idea of Gloria Regali ? It's me ! Nemesis ! Here are some infos about me ! I am a french roleplayer, trilingual, and I write since I was a little girl. Clubs
On Gloria Regali, you can admit to a club or create one for your characters. Nothing is as simple as it is to submit : you can just send your application for the club in a ticket, so we will judge if you're accepted or not.
You could not be accepted if : ✧ You have a warning in the server, have been expulsed or temporarily banned once. ✧ There are no more vacant roles in the club you applied for. ✧ The role you are seeking is not available (we would provide you other solutions if there are some). ✧ Your character does not correspond to the conditions of the application.
To create a new club, you will have to send your application in a ticket too, but you will have to be able to provide at least 3 members in the club. We won't create a club just for one character alone, even more if it isn't a relevant club in the universe/lore.
WARNING : Your character will be a new member of the club, you will have to play a scene of introduction to the club with a NPC or an OC of the club, but not an application scene.
QUIDDITCH
Quidditch is a sport very common in the wizarding world, with a world cup and many teams that tend to be very famous. Multiple talented quidditch players come from Hogwarts. You can become one ! conditions :
to be a student (except for the coach role that can be played by a teacher or a postgraduate student).
to be active and sport ( it means you know how to behave ... ).
to be in year 2 minimum.
to not be involved in another club.

DUEL
The Duel Club is where you can improve your duel skills ! Our arena is based in the dungeons and we sometimes make events such as duel tournaments to which you can apply if you are a member, or come watch if you are not. Being apart of the Duel Club allows you a bonus on your duel and dada's grades.

to be a student (except for the coach role that can be played by a teacher or a postgraduate student)
to have good grades in charms and dada.
to be in year 5 at least (for legal reasons).

MUSIC
The Music Club is located in the music room in the South Wing of the castle. We include the orchestra and the choir, that are trained by our music coach, but you can also participate in our open mic nights if you applied for it, and play alone or with your band. Maybe you'll become famous !

to be a musician or a singer (at least a little for the choir and orchestra).

PERFORMING ARTS
The Performing Arts club is where the cool kids are. Musicals, drama, dance, this is where you let your spirit run free through your body and claim to be the best in everything. Don't let the narcissists bully you, they are just a bit noisy. We perform in the theatre once a year.

LAST NAME : Talley. FIRST NAME : Arthur.
Born on the 12th of march 1955 in London, Arthur Talley is the Prime Minister of Magic of the United Kingdom. He was a student of Hogwarts in the 1960s and was a member of the Slytherin's House. As he graduated with great results, he entered the Ministry of Magic as an Obliviator in 1974, and switched to the Departement of Law and Magic Justice in 2004. In 2021, he became the Prime Minister of Magic after a great campaign that involved, as the rumour says, a few cheatings.
His first acts were helpful to the wizard community, he made the unemployment rate drastically lower and allowed many families to find a secure home in the wizarding towns of England. But when the threat of Muggle militias spread across the country, his reforms became increasingly harsh.
That is when the rumour of the gloria regali spread : a tournament for wizards that were educated in Hogwarts. Students from 15 to 23 years old will be selected to compete in different tasks, and win the Regali, a trophy that makes a wizard the elite of the nation. Joining the ranks of the regalis was an honour. But is it ?

Roleplay Guide
1 - CHARACTER CREATION
1.A - Faceclaim and name.
The first step on our server is to create your first OC. For that, you will need to chose a faceclaim (avatar), and a name. Here, we only accept faceclaims that are real, and that we can find on internet. It can be a model, an actor, a singer, but we won't accept drawings, AI or nameless people.
Pay attention to the age of your faceclaim. You can't take Brad Pitt to play a 17 year old student. EVEN IF you take pictures of him when he was younger. We accept, within reason, a 10 years gap between your character and your faceclaim, but it can be judged abusive if it involves minor characters/faceclaims.
For the names and last names, please use the search bar on discord to search for the name you'd like to use, it will be easier to know if it is taken.
Please don't chose a pre-existent name, may it be fictional or real people. The names from Harry Potter's universe will be closely look at. (Forget about your Draco's daugther and Tom Riddle's grand-son.)
1.B - The application.
In order to post your application, you have to make a reservation in the relevant channel.
Next, you will find the character application that you can send in a ticket to the administration.
Your character backstory must contain all of the infos or their past. You cannot pretend to have a hidden secret in the middle of the roleplay. All the modifications must be notified to the staff.
1.C - Post and be validated.
Once your application is done and you sent it to the administration, you may wait a few days if the staff is busy, but don't worry, we will take care of you.
Once it is accepted, your application will be posted in the wizard records and accessible to everyone to read.
2 - ROLEPLAY CHANNELS
2.A - Where do I RP ?
If you're lost within the channels, it's okay ! You can use the discord features that allows you to search between the channels. If the special fonts are a problem when searching for a channel, just remove the first letter of the words you are searching for, since this is the only letters we changed !
You may need to ask for a little sociability at first, and you can always be sure somebody will answer in the who wants to roleplay channel.
2.B - My channel is missing.
If you can't find a particular place in the roleplay channels, you can ask the administration to add a channel for you. But don't push it. It is not your mother's house. 👀
3 - THREADS AND ROLEPLAY
3.A - Open a thread.
In this server, we work with a system of threads. To open a scene, you click on the channel you want your character to be in, and open a thread with a title and the date of your RP. You can then post your opening RP and mention the person you are writing with. Please don't abuse from mentions, and make sure you create a public thread.
3.B - Close a thread.
When your scene is finished, you can close the thread by sending ```End of the Scene```.
3.C - Timeline.
When you open a thread, you have to open it to the day's date. But you can choose the hour. The scene can be written over a few days because we all have a life, and it's okay. But don't become too lazy please, cause we don't want to run after your roleplays.

RULES AND VALUES
1 - GENERAL
1.A - On this server, the rules of the Discord Terms of Service and the Discord Community Guidelines apply, which means that we assume that you are familiar with them, and that you follow them submit like any Discord user.
1.B - Violations of the regulations may be punished by a warning, expulsion or banning depending on the seriousness of the acts.
2 - TEXTUAL AND VOICE CHANNELS
2.A - Respect is essential, in each of the channels, whether in RP or outside RP. Which means that spam, insults and harassment are prohibited, and can be seriously sanctioned in the event of repeat offenses after warning.
2.B - The communication of personal data such as the address, IP address, IRL contact details or face of a player is strictly prohibited. We advise players to use the Presentation and Trombinoscope lobbies with caution. Use a fictitious name and a profile photo that does not represent you to overcome any dispute related to your real identity.
2.C - Any NSFW type content is prohibited on the server, as is ERP/RPQ in RP.
2.D - Voice channels must be used with respect for other members, which means that you cannot shout into your microphone or make inappropriate comments, under penalty of being banned from voice channels temporarily or permanently.
2.E - Unnecessary mentions of roles or members will be immediately sanctioned, we ask that you please report any type of behavior of this kind to us.
2.F - It is prohibited to advertise another server in the text and voice channels of this server, as well as in private messages. If you want to promote your server, we have a partnership system, please contact the administration. Shares external to roleplay can be done in the creative sharing channel.
3 - ROLEPLAY CHANNELS
3.A - All writings made on this server, files, roleplay, context, or additional information are the intellectual property of their author, whether a member of the administration or a player. Even if a member leaves the server, we undertake to ensure that their work is protected on the server, we will initiate procedures within the discord community in the event of any plagiarism of a character or of the server itself.
3.B - Fair play is mainly used on this server, although we also use the dice rolling system (rolls). We invite you to take this into account during your PR, otherwise you will be subject to a warning.
3.C - The formatting of your RP must be readable, but is free. We advise you to carefully separate the dialogue from the story. Likewise, we ask you to proofread to avoid as many spelling errors as possible.
3.D - OOC is prohibited in RP salons. We therefore ask you to delete these messages once they have been read.
3.E - The RP works with a system of temporal faults, the room you are in is therefore reserved for those who have a scene in progress in it. We ask you not to abuse your RP time so as not to block your characters as well as the room you are in. Each of your RPs must be listed in the RPs directory in order to allow the staff to follow your game.
3.F - Trigger Warnings must be mentioned. If a file contains stories that may be disturbing, we will require you to clearly specify them at the beginning of the file or story. Those affected by trigger warnings are encouraged to speak up if they feel uncomfortable. Do not hesitate to open a ticket so that the staff can take action. Failure to respect everyone's sensitivity will be severely punished.
3.G - Classes in Hogwarts are not mandatory, you can take whatever you want, regardless of your character's choices, but if you attend, we ask that you respect the teacher's character. The person makes an effort to make the courses interesting, we ban non-respect in the RP and HRP. Recalcitrant students will simply have to calm down to prevent our members from feeling uncomfortable during these lessons.
4 - CHARACTERS
4.A - Character name : The first and last names of your characters must be respectful, they cannot be detrimental to your characters or to a member or any person.
The names of your characters cannot be names already in use, whether it is a celebrity, a fictional character or someone you know, be original.
We do not allow duplicate surnames (except in the case of members of the same family) or first names.
4.B – Faceclaim : The age difference between your faceclaim and your character must not be visible, we will refuse a student who looks too old or an adult who looks too young. Make sure that your faceclaims are not problematic personalities, which risk causing a wave of hatred against your character or debates that are a little too heated in HRP. We don't honor assholes here. It is prohibited to change the ethnicity of a character. This case particularly applies to people of color: if your faceclaim is black, mixed race, Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic, please respect its origins, and not engage in blackfishing or whitewashing.
Duplicate avatars are prohibited (except in the case of twins), we invite you to find another if you choose one that is already reserved or validated. Likewise, if someone is talking about taking an avatar and you choose it "weirdly", you will be subject to a sanction, it's really really petty.
4.C - You are obliged to respect the template, which you will find in the character creation section. You are allowed to make your sheets on Google Doc, Canva or directly on Discord, but in any case, please do not make sheets that require downloading to be read. Likewise, whatever information you may add, please do not omit the information requested.
4.D - We will refuse any character that has not been created seriously. The stories of Dark Sasuke or Mary Sue will be viewed with a certain eye, so that you don't overdo it, which can be quite disturbing. BUT overpowered characters, God Tier, etc. will be refused.
4.E - The number of characters is limited to 10, but be careful not to make characters from the same family or friends so as not to RP alone. There's no point creating characters if you're playing alone. We also ask you for an activity on each of your characters. Don't create a certain number of characters if you can't play them.
4.F - Special features, gifts or talents must be requested in advance from the staff (ask in the questions room). Rare wand antlers will be entered into a roll and please be sure to only take patronus of non-magical animals.

On this Tumblr, you will find all of the information regarding the discord rp server Gloria Regali : Wizards of Glory, a roleplay based on the universe of Harry Potter.
DISCLAIMER : We completely despise the author of the Harry Potter books, and do not claim to support her at all. That is probably the main reason why we take great liberties regarding the universe, adding our touch to it or totally reinventing some parts. Remember that writing a story that touched billions of children does not allow you to be a total c!nt.
In 2024, you drop your luggage on the pavement of Hogsmeade's train station. Teacher, student, or anything else you want to be, you are now in England, struggling like everybody else with your life and your career. But a threat hangs over Great Britain: the muggles are no longer naive, and they seem ready to reignite the fires.
The Ministry of Magic can no longer contain the rumors that the magical world is hanging by a thread, and it is now time for them to take up arms. For this, what could be better than to draw from the new generation of wizards to forge their weapons of war? Under the pretext of wanting to give more education, Minister Arthur Talley extends the years of study at Hogwarts by five years. A year later, he declared that he wanted to recruit an elite of wizards through competitive events and thus form the ranks of the English magical power.
