First year of college just ended. During its course I felt the time was moving really slow and I constantly awaited it's end. That may have been due to the shortening of 6 months long semesters two 3 months long due to starting the year super late which was one of the effects of the pandemic here. But that lead to the rushing of everything, from the mandatory projects to the 3 internals and finals each sem. I'm doing bachelor's in engineering in India, here, in the first year we study every goddamn subject with no regard to our chosen branch. I was literally studying the basics to Mech. Engg., Civil Engg., Chemistry, Physics, Programming etc, where as my branch is Electronics. I was not able to motivate myself enough to enjoy what I studied. I felt suffocated. I just wanted to get over the first two semesters as quickly as possible and start my third semester or the first semester in my branch.

Now the time has finally come.

But along the way I picked up some knowledge from doing various extracurricular activities and talking to people, I developed new interests and goals. I was dreaming of all the skills I wanna learn over the holidays before 3rd semester began. I couldn't focus much on my prep for 2nd sem end exams because my mind was occupied by the excitement to learn UI/UX, little bit of javascript and node.js, start a blog, set my path to set a good portfolio to get into a good college after my fourth year for my master's.

As usual, once the vacations of at max 8 days began, I had no motivation to do even begin if not carry out the things I had planned. I feel useless and bored all the time. 3 days left and the most productive I have been was to study little bit of maths for 3rd semester along with watching tvd with my bestie regularly. I exercise a little when I remember that I had planned this too.

So here I am writing my first proper post. Hopefully I don't stop.
