Our hearts are broken over what happened to our neighbors in Waukesha, WI. As a company we strive to treasure people and promote love. When a very hateful and heinous act happens people are pulled into wanting to engage in hate themselves . Hate works that way. Hate breeds hate. So we are praying for Waukesha for healing and for comfort but we are also praying that they will somehow be able to turn around with love and deal with the strife and division happening in Wisconsin. Please join us in praying for Waukesha Wisconsin.

Big changes again on social media platforms. Two weeks ago, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook would be changing its name to Meta. He went on to describe a new Internet that would include a virtual reality a kin to Fortnight.
This might explain the big dive into virtual reality a few years ago. Adam Mosseri talked about wanting the internet to be an experience, not just webpage that you're "on". For some, this sounds exciting and like we're finally stepping into the future we always dreamed of. For others, this is alarming. The idea of the internet being apart of your home, being an experience that leaves the walls of the phone and is apart of your living room. It's uncharted territory, for sure.
There’s a lot of skepticism around the governments move to break up the big tech monopolies and the announcement going on almost simultaneously. It'll be interesting to watch. It's also important to keep in mind: Facebook isn't building the Metaverse all by itself. It will be hiring all different tech companies and working with others to make the Metaverse a reality... an AR.
What does that mean for creators? Mosseri mentioned creators in his video on Meta. It may be wise for creators to invest in headset/AR eyewear and learn about those filters to prepare for the unfolding Metaverse. And guess what? Meta just gave a teaser of the Cambria VR headset and Nazaré AR glasses. Both of these seems relatively far off right now.
While we wait to see the Metaverse unfold, I'm going to grab some popcorn and catch up on some Sci-Fi movies. They don't seem so unrealistic after all.

Halloween is right around the corner! Here is how to capitalize on the coming holiday in your company's marketing or your personal content.
Use the word "Halloween"! According to Pinterest, people have been searching for Halloween content and decor ideas since August, earlier than ever before! Now is the time to use the holiday to your advantage. Since Instagram recently introduced keywords and SEO, it's important use the word often in your captions and hashtags.
Want to hear a Spooky Story Hack? Take advantage of the engagement stickers offered by Instagram in your stories! We recommend the poll sticker, but the Question Box, Meter Bar, and even Quizzes help drive others to your Stories and Posts. Need ideas? Ask for help picking out a Halloween costume, ask whether they like PSLs or Hot Apple Cider, and gage their enthusiasm for Haunted Houses. These responses will help you cater your content to what they want to see.
An easy way to get festive with your content is to dress up your content! Use traditional halloween colors (orange, black, green, and purple), post with costumes or fun makeup, or even switch to b&w images to give a vintage halloween feel.
You all know that Reels are huge right now. Take advantage of the draw and post a Reel with a jump scare. If you can scare the viewer, that almost instant virality. Wear a costume, add a trending spooky song, or do some fun makeup in your Reel. Everyone will eat it up. Even add a trending festive GIF for good measure.
Trick or Treat! This is the perfect time for a giveaway. You can give away merch, costume tips, or some Halloween candy. Do the giveaway from a post or a livestream. People love free stuff, take advantage of the easy engagement.
BOO! Hashtag the hell out of your posts so you show up everywhere people might look for Halloween content. Visit the hashtags you've used in your posts and engage the posts in the Recent tab.
What are your plans for Halloween? Happy hashtagging!

@pirkeyjo says to engage your audience twice a day. Post a story and watch/engage others stories in the morning, and then post a picture in the afternoon and comment/like other people's content. 30 minutes a day can grow your account rapidly for a little time each day.

The Instagram Algorithm holds many secrets. There are so many strong opinions on it, how do you know what's real? Let's bust some myths together.
1. Spamming is bad (FACT OR MYTH?) MOSTLY FACT (at least right now). Be authentic with your liking and comments. If you like too many posts too quickly, you can get flagged for "inauthentic behavior", and be given a timeout or shadowbanned, slowing your reach for a time. Leave thoughtful comments that relate to the post to maximize impact.
2. Buying followers helps you get started (FACT OR MYTH) MYTH. It doesn't matter how many followers you have if they don't engage your content regularly. Fake followers are often bots that won't like or comment on your posts, and these accounts might reflect poorly on your account. Engagement should be your focus, because the algorithm will reward your organic reach if you good engagement rates. Be sure to use targeted niche hashtags (50k uses or less if your account is small) that are relevant to your content. Encourage your followers to leave comments and share. Engage top posts from those hashtags regularly- comment, like, and follow to grow an authentic community.
3. Follow/Unfollow doesn't work anymore (FACT OR MYTH) MYTH. Follow/unfollow is a viable way to grow your account! Be sure to follow people based on niche hashtags or people who's content is similar to yours. You can go to an account that's similar to yours, but much larger, and follow their followers. We suggest liking the first post of each person you follow. When it comes to unfollowing, go to your profile and click on following. Go to the "Least Interacted With" list of 50 people (available on most accounts). Unfollow these people. You can follow and unfollow between 50-100 people each day. It's okay to follow more than you unfollow when you're first starting.
4. Saves are powerful (FACT OR MYTH) FACT. The actual metric of how powerful a Save is is still pretty unclear. However, saving is an indication that your content is interesting enough to be revisited later, so Instagram will favor its organic reach. If you are doing carousels, one way to promote saves is to pack your post with a checklist of tips and remind them to save it in the final slide or caption. With quality content, these prompts will bring in Saves easily.
5. Hashtags help you get seen (FACT OR MYTH) FACT. Without hashtags, the only people seeing your content are the people who follow you. Hashtags are crucial to organically growing your following. You're able to use up to 30 hashtags per post, which gives you 30 more places on Instagram to get seen. Hashtags are free advertising, take advantage of them! If your following is small, you should start with less popular but targeted hashtags to reach people interested in your topic.
6. Posts are more important than Stories/Reels/IGTV (FACT OR MYTH) MYTH. While photo posts are important, Stories and Reels seem to be engaged with more than ever before. By posting Stories daily, you're able to stay at the forefront of someone's Story lineup when they open the app. Regular stories also reinforce that you're an active, real user- not a bot. Reels are 15-30 seconds long, and if you're able to capture their attention for that long, there's a good chance you can get them to follow you. Posts can make it to the Explore Page, but so can Reels, Stories, and IGTV episodes. Take advantage of all of Instagram's features if you can, rather than simply focusing on Posts.
What other Instagram Myths do you have questions about? Tell us in the comments! Be sure to Like this post and Save it for later!

Social Media Tip #1: Just Start
You may want to have the right aesthetic, brand identity, and have content at the ready when you join any social media platform. That’s a great goal, but sometimes you need to just start.
Platforms like TikTok aren’t all about super polished content. It’s made from a cell phone with little-to-no editing software. As far as virality is concerned, the culture seems to be moving from aesthetic → authentic content. So with that in mind, just start.
It’s good to keep in mind your target audience and have some sort of goal/call to action for your posts, but there’s no harm in a light-hearted, funny video or post on occasion. Things that will help your audience know you, recognize you, and want to engage with you.
If you’re not on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter: just start. Get on social media, aim to reach your target audience, and start posting. And use #hashta.gr get your hashtags to optimize your engagement.
