Oh the newest chapter I just....

Maki and Mai's mother had to be held to account. She seems to have never stepped in to protect her children other then telling Maki to obey the rules. To fall to the party line as it were.

But the truth is she was always going to be a victim of the clan as well. She was almost certainly abused by her husband for the sin of having inferior children and considering how comfortable Naoya was at talking about Maki and Mai's bodies in a grossly sexualised way in front of her....well.

But she still never seemed to try and protect her children. She was part of the cycle of abuse and the broken system.

She had to go.

She had caused too much pain to not.

But she was also a victim. And with her last ounce of strength she helps her daughter finish the job by driving her knife into Naoya. The man who represents the rotten heart of the Zen'in clan

And he dies pathetically

Unable to get away or stop the killing blow from a woman who is also a death's door

And that woman's final words are ones of gratitude. Her daughter's have done what she could not.

They are all three free of the Zen'in clan and their abuse

It's poetic and it's tragic

What do you think would hurt the pride of a man that considered himself on the same level as Toji and Gojo?

Being killed by Maki who, despite being considered useless was still part of the Kukuru Unit and who had just reached the level of Toji (despite his denial);

OR!

Being killed by a woman who, according to what we know of the Zenin Clan, was only good to provide children (and in the end gave birth to what they considered defective children), and as such shouldn't have been able to lay a hand on him?

Satoru's hands brush the back of Kento's wrists as he takes Yuuji from him. Instinct to fight rears up but Kento reminds himself that this is Satoru. He… trusts him with his world because he is a part of it. He hates to admit it but Satoru has become vexingly good with Yuuji. He even memorized his favorite songs and knows just how Yuuji likes to be cuddled. Kento likes to think that Satoru learned from watching him but that means hours and days of doing just that. And it freaks him out. He's somehow let in Satoru and there’s no exit anywhere in sight. Satoru must know this because he infuriatingly knows everything.

Let the Zenin become a Matriarchal Clan! Let it become a Clan led by different generations of women who understand that abuse comes in all forms and how it damages people! Let them raise their sons and daughters with gentle, but firm, hands so they understand their fathers and grandfathers were wrong in their ways!

Let them become the people they weren't allowed to be because of their family name! Let them be horrified at what happened, but relieved that they won't have to suffer anymore!

Give me the rest of the Zenin who suffered!
