Okay so, now that we've watched Exaltation, I think that I understand much better now what's gonna happen in Transmission (Kwami's choice part 1)

Brief recap of the ending of Exaltation: Marinette ended up really hurt with the fact that she can't be with Chat Noir neither because it's just as dangerous as being with Adrien is (according to her), because of her almost getting akumatized

And Adrien is also very conflicted at first because he's aware that he can't be with Marinette as Chat Noir because it wouldn't be right that he knows who she is but she doesn't, and he must also be aware of the fact that he knows her and he's her friend in his civilian form and he just doesn't want to fool her like that and take advantage of it (and adding the fact that now he knows Marinette used to be in love with him, as Adrien Agreste, meaning his civilian form is her ex-crush, as far as he's aware)

But his conversation with Plagg makes him think/realize that Marinette could end up falling in love with him again, as Adrien. So he'll surely try to win her love back, in his civilian form.

Now, talking about Transmission, we know he's gonna go to her house at least twice in this episode

I'm still not quite sure of the theory that Marinette was missing school (which would make sense due to how she's been feeling) and that's why he goes to her place, but it is certain that, whatever is the reason of his visit, he will take this opportunity to try to open up with her about his feelings and start trying to be with her, but as Adrien. So he goes to her place, but finds out she throw away pictures of him

Of course Adrien will find this painful, but he certainly won't give up and still goes and declares his feelings for Marinette, telling that he loves her just the way she is (I imagine they probably had a conversation before this, where Marinette tries to explain why them being together is a bad idea, and/or how she always screws everything up when she's around him, and that's why he tells her that)

And, for what we've seen on the trailer, Marinette answers him "I don't love you" (and probably a bunch of hurtful things)

Which, of course, we know it's a lie, she never stopped loving him, but she's so scared of making any more mistakes, and it is certain that her almost akumatization in Exaltation made her fear and her trauma get bigger. So she decides to push him away, and make sure he believes that they truly don't have any chance of being together. So surely Adrien will return home heartbroken, just as Marinette will also be heartbroken. Plagg and Tikki will then notice how painful the situation is for both of them, and how their superhero duties and all of the secret identities stuff are making them unhappy because it doesn't allow them to be together. And that's when they make the decision to take away from them their miraculous and look for other holders, so Adrien and Marinette can happily be together.

(i believe they won't feel much better after this because we're aware of how they feel about their kwamis and being superheroes, on the good side I mean, but anyways)

Then, the next day, Adrien goes to Marinette's place again (maybe she skipped classes again, or maybe he just wanted to solve things between them, who knows), and she's putting Adrien's pictures back on her wall, probably because now she knows there's a chance of her being able to be with Adrien without any problems

When he comes into her room, she apologizes for the things she told him the night before, telling him that she didn't mean it, she was just feeling very down

His answer makes me think that she probably did admitted to him at some point of their last conversation that she does have feelings for him, or used to have (I'm quite confused with this part, but oh well), and she says that it isn't that, and tries to tell him she is indeed in love with him (but as usual, she finds it hard to say it out loud to him). And I believe that they will have a heart-to-heart conversation where Adrien makes absolutely clear that he truly likes her a lot, that he wants to be in a relationship with her, and that even though she may not be perfect, he (again) loves her just the way she is, and doesn't expect her to be anything else, that their love doesn't truly do any harm. And Marinette probably will give in into this taking into account she isn't Ladybug anymore at this point, and that now her love for Adrien can't truly end up in something catastrophic like in Strike Back, due to her not having any superhero responsibilities anymore. So she agrees and let's herself love Adrien and be open to be in a relationship with him.

Now, I'm not quite certain if they'll start dating in this episode or not, because as far as we can be aware, surely in Deflagration (Kwami's choice part 2) or Perfection they'll return to be Ladybug and Chat Noir again, but I believe there is a high chance that they'll at least give it a go, specially Marinette, that will probably learn that she can't let her fear make her repress her own emotions and not allow her to be happy with the boy she loves, so she will try to make things work with Adrien despite the fact of her being Ladybug/Guardian and the whole Monarch situation. And if this is the case, I truly don't expect that the reveal is going to happen here. I believe that the reveal will happen at the end of the season. Marinette and Adrien will most likely start dating first (as their civilian forms) and get to know each other better (and see how that goes) without knowing each other's identities.

I'm excited to see how their relationship evolves and how they'll manage with the whole Monarch situation and secret identities thing still going on. But I expect lots of drama for sure hehe

I wanna talk about Marinette’s almost akumatization and the dancing theme tied to it.

*I do want to put the disclaimer that the translation for this episode at the time I watched was not 100% accurate and I don’t speak French. Some things may be slightly misinterpreted due to translation.

I’ll start with Chat Noir giving Marinette a red rose and her tucking it behind her ear. The reason why the animators had her keep a rose behind her ear was reminiscence of Tango which incorporates the use of a rose in its choreography.

Marinette and Chat Noir even dance on over to André to order ice cream. At first it seemed like they were being giddy and silly. They were experiencing blissful happiness after facing heartbreak and the traumatic events that lead up to that point. People dance for many reasons, one reason is how freeing the act of dancing is.

Because of Gabriel/Hawkmoth, m both of their freedoms have been surpassed for similar and different reasons. But being together that night, they were allowing themselves to experience true freedom. Love without a mask, love without consequences…until they are reminded of them.

Still, Marinette was willing to not let identities  dictate her happiness once more. So they (excessively) kiss. This feeling gets crushed when Chat Noir tells her that this was not a good idea because of his status as a hero (and the fact that he is Adrien). She instantly gets frustrated, feeling that she cannot make the decision to be with someone she loves.

When Marinette gets akumatized, the akuma is placed in the rose. A symbol of love that constantly appears in the show. Monarch told Marinette he was going to give her the ability to unmask people. Masquerades are parties were guests dance and are dressed in elaborate costumes and masks.

Masquerades are a popular trope. Typically its two lovers dancing together unaware of who is behind the mask. After the night ends you are left wondering who was the person behind the mask and if they would truly love who you are underneath the mask. A concern that Chat Noir expresses after they kiss for the first time.

Marinette’s look/akuma ability would’ve been influence by Tango and masquerades. Her goal as stated by Monarch would’ve been to unmask Chat Noir. As Ladybug, Marinette is always dancing around her personal life and secret identity. She just wants a partner to join her in that dance-which is why she fears dating Adrien.

Its a dance that she thinks she will fumble through. Constantly worrying about her next step causing her to trip and eventually getting out of sync with her partner.

But Chat Noir knows the dance. He understands the steps. This is why she changes her direction and focuses on simping building a romantic relationship with Char Noir...but at the end of the night the mask would still be there….causing complications and concerns…

Anyways I wish we did get to see her akuma design 😜✌️

I have a theory that Chloe gets the peacock miraculous and Lila gets the butterfly miraculous.

They are both evil, because why else would they stop Chloe’s redemption arc? it couldn’t be anything else! (Like bad writing *cough cough*)

Lila’s hawkmoth look is more friendly looking, I gave her a cape to symbolize butterfly wings and her hair piece to symbolize her time as volpina.

This is a continuation of my last post, this is how Adrien continues on with being ladybug and cat noir after Marinette gives up the guardianship.

I didn’t know what else to call him besides scarlet cat, not to be mistaken for scarlet lady (Zoe-oneesama’s comic is amazing so you should check that out if you haven’t 😆)

So a few things

1. Alya and him are aware of eachother’s identity (as well as nino, since spoilers he told Adrien of their identity in the show).

2. Since Adrien is using both the miraculous it makes him tired. His hair has a green hue to it.

3. He knows the new hawkmoth is a female because he’s heard her voice. Bet you can guess who it is.

4. Like his father, he would do anything and everything for the one he loves.

5. Alya’s miraculous is not shown, it’s in a pocket (like future Alix) also if you noticed I made her the size she’s supposed to be since the show removed her ribs and guts. And I made her skin tone the same as her civilian form

6. So with cat noir destroying the akumas, they enter him and can make his cataclysm even more powerful. So imagine chat blanc’s power

Here’s an AU of Marinette who gave up her guardianship to the miraculous

1. She still dreams of the adventures of ladybug and cat noir but like a dream it’s blurry

2. She feels like she’s lost something

3. Her and Adrien are dating now, and they are both 18-19.

4. They both have scars. Marinette’s right ear has a rip in it.

5. Adrien writes down marinette’s dream in a journal (tales of chat noir and ladybug) and later gives it to Nathaniel and Marc. They then illustrate the journal and that becomes a cartoon

6. Ladybug and catnoir still exist in theory, Marinette has seen the pictures of them but doesn’t know that she was ladybug.

7. Adrien now has the ladybug and cat miraculous

8. Gabriel is no longer hawkmoth

I have a feeling that Zoe is going to be the future child of Marinette and Adrien

The two of them look extremely similar with their face shape and eyes. Zoe has adrien’s mouth shape

And not only that, but we see that she has a pink strip in her hair, and no other character has that strip kind of hair except for

Natalie, aka adrien’s stand in mom. I feel like Natalie would be a huge part in adrien’s life (if she wasn’t crushing on his dad) and she eventually becomes his mother figure. She would babysit for Marinette and adrien and Zoe would be inspired by Natalie’s hair.

Also, wouldn’t it be cool if the by the end of the episode shes with future Alix and this is said

Alix: how was it being a superhero with your mom and dad, Emma?

Zoe(Emma): it was a blast! But hiding my true name was really hard
