Nosy was busy adoring his treasures when a shiny golden light suddenly caught his attention. His sparkly eyes widened, fixating on the gleaming beacon of brilliance. Abandoning his current conquest, a particularly captivating silver badge, Nosy scurried towards the source of the golden glow.

There it was - a sight that made his heart skip a beat! A plate adorned with an extra-large cake! Nosy blinked, his small heart fluttering with excitement. A cake for Nosy? A whole cake? For this humble Niffler? The very thought seemed too good to be true. Well deserved, of course, but still so unexpected.

Nosy's gaze darted back and forth between the sugary, creamy delight and Sebastian. With each passing second, the Niffler's excitement grew, and he couldn't contain himself any longer.

His tail began to wag furiously, and with a bound, he leaped towards his beloved wizard. His tiny claws finding purchase as he scrambled up to Sebastian's face to shower him with affectionate pecks and kisses, his happy honking sounds filling the air.

A few moments after his wet display of affection, Nosy gracefully descended from the Niffler Papa, and with a decisive huff, the little master of flames extinguished the golden candle. Time to dig in!

Diving snout-first into the cake, Nosy savoured the sweet taste of victory with each delectable bite. It was so delicious! And yet, amidst his indulgence, a fleeting thought crossed his mind. Pausing for just a moment, the little Niffler pondered before reaching a conclusion.

With a determined glint in his eyes, Nosy carefully selected a sizable portion of the cake, cradling it in his little paws. With purposeful steps, he waddled over to Sebastian once again, offering him the (in Sebastian's hands rather small) morsel with a honk of generosity while still wagging his tail incessantly.

Nosy would always share everything with Sebastian. That's how it always has been, and that's how it always will be.

With a gentle nuzzle of his head against Sebastian's hand, Nosy looked up at him with eyes that sparkled with gratitude and devotion. The two of them had been together for so long now, a constant companion through thick and thin, partners in crime, friends, and family rolled into one.

Every day with Sebastian was an adventure, filled with laughter, mischief, and love. And as he settled against Sebastian's side, Nosy knew that no matter what the future held, he and Sebastian would face it together, forever bound by their unbreakable bond.

HLC REACT TO MC TURNING INTO A KIWI BIRD IN TRANSFIGURATION

A/N: inspired by the wonderful @kiwiplaetzchen

MC doesn't know what went wrong, but it went VERY wrong! One minute they're at their desk practicing wand movements and the next they're shrunk! Where are their arms!? Where'd the beak come from!?!?

Distressed, the small flightless bird squeaked and squawked as it ran in circles. Professor Weasley easily undoes the accidental transformation, but not before suppressing a smile. Admittedly, it was one of her favorite parts of teaching transfiguration.

SEBASTIAN SALLOW: He is losing his shit. He is crying. He is struggling to breathe. The great and powerful MC, reduced to a walking potato. He really wishes he had a camera, but regardless, he's not letting MC live this down anytime soon.

OMINIS GAUNT: He's confused. He's not even sure what his wand is detecting. A rat, perhaps? On two legs? Based on the energy in the room, it's quite hilarious.

ANNE SALLOW: She just facepalms and waits for it to be over. She really needs to focus on her reading.

IMELDA REYES: She smirks and transfigures MC's textbook into a lizard that starts chasing them. Kiwi MC and the book lizard proceed to knock most everything off of the shelves, sending the whole class into another round of laughter.

NATSAI ONAI: She tries to comfort MC when they're human again. She's suppressing her own laughter, but she wants to reassure MC that they aren't the first to make that mistake. Accidental transfigurations happen all the time. Everyone will forget about it by tomorrow. (They didn't)

GARRETH WEASLEY: He chuckles along with the class but when things die down he whispers to MC. "You know, I could probably persuade my aunt to give you private transfiguration lessons. ...Why are you looking at me like that?"

LEANDER PREWETT: He's really happy that other people are finally laughing at someone else rather than him. Sorry MC, it's not personal.

AMIT THAKKAR: The second hand embarrassment is STRONG with this one. To make such a mistake in front of the whole class. He hides his face like he's the one who turned himself into a kiwi.

EVERETT CLOPTON: He needs to ask MC how they did that. He knows a few people that could use a good "accidental" transfiguring.

POPPY SWEETING: She tries to catch MC to get them to sit still, but they are really hard to catch when you're laughing so hard your ribs hurt.

On his way to the greenhouse, Demetrius has to make a stop by a small sleeping puddle of a teal niffler on the floor. The poor creature looks so blissfully full after lunch that the nap in the sun by the glass-stained window must seem like heaven for the little thief.

'Aren't you adorable?' chuckles Meech to himself and sits down for a minute. With a frown after some careful deliberations and a hesitant hand, he reaches out and softly pets Nosy's belly. Yes. Meech assumed as such: the niffler is in a food coma.

A few more soft pets follow before Meech gets up to go and feed his sweet sweet cabbages.

As the sunbeams streamed through the glass-stained window, Nosy basked in their warmth, his plump belly rising and falling in a contented rhythm. Oh, what a day it had been! All the treats he had acquired, the treasures he had snatched, the mischief and mayhem - it was almost a bit too much for a humble little Niffler like himself. But only almost.

The stolen goodies, which he would later share with his partner in crime, were tucked safely in his belly pocket, and slowly, like a gentle wave, exhaustion washed over him, and the little menace succumbed to the allure of a deep slumber. 

Blissfully unaware of the approach of the gentle giant, the Niffler was sleeping safe and sound, with dreams filled with flickering flames and tantalising shiny objects. A soft chuckle broke through the haze of Nosy's dreams, but he paid it no mind as he rolled himself into a tiny, snug pile of teal fur, seeking even greater comfort.

The gentle touch on his belly startled him momentarily, but the sensation was so soothing that he couldn't resist purring softly in his sleep. The Gryffindor's presence was but a fleeting interruption in his dream world, quickly forgotten as he surrendered once more to the enchanting allure of sleep.
