I love your drawings, I'm your fan, I have a question: where do you get your ideas for the designs and clothes of your characters like Aurora and her family?❤️

Thank you so much! I’m so happy you like my stuff 🥰

The overall designs for my characters, I just experiment. Normally when I’m coming up with a character I have like… a vague idea in my mind of what they should look like, but then I’ll experiment with hairstyles, colors, etc. Actually, deciding on color takes me the longest! I have so many versions of my characters using different palettes before I finalize it haha

As far as clothing, I try to pick things based on their personality. Aurora is very eclectic so she wears a lot of layers and bright colors. Aurora’s way of thinking is “I love these (however many) items of clothing, so I’m going to wear them all at the same time instead of having to pick just one thing.” She’s also spent a lot of her life sheltered, but there’s a flirty, adventurous side to her so I’ll try to symbolize that with her clothes: she’s mostly covered up but she’ll have a cleavage cutout in her top and/or thigh high stockings paired with shorts to show she’s embracing her body.

I spend a lot of time on Pinterest looking up different fashion and clothing styles in case I ever need ideas for the future.
